Abstract

The challenge of education entering the 21st century in the era of the industrial revolution 4.0 is expected to get graduates who are competent in utilizing ICT but also competent in developing critical thinking skills. This research aims to develop digital book based on local wisdom to improve critical thinking skills. This research includes Research and Development (R&D) research using ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation) models. Data analysis techniques used in this study include descriptive data analysis related to the validity and response of users, while to determine the effectiveness of the product used the N-gain test. The results show (1) the developed digital book has valid criteria regarding aspects of the material, presentation, and language (2) students and teachers provide responses to the local wisdom digital book used in learning with response criteria strongly agree (3) assessment results Students' critical thinking skills show improvement with high N-Gain grades. The developed local wisdom digital book is suitable to be used as an alternative source of learning additive material in natural science learning in the face of the 21st century and the industrial revolution 4.0.

Abstract

The objective of this research is to analyze the observation activity, to ask, to try, to analyze, and to communicate with the theme Always Save the Energy using scientific learning approach in elementary school. This is qualitative research. The object was purposively in SDN 4 Penyangkringan Kecamatan Weleri Kabupaten Kendal. Data collection was taken by observation, interview, and documentation. Data analysis was done by data reduction, data display, and conclusion. Triangulation was done to get the data validity. The result of the research shows that the scientific approach in the Always Save the Energy theme uses observation, asking the question, and collecting information in the learning activity. The observation activity done by the student is observing pictures in books and LCD, observing video prepared by the teacher, observing the realia, and observing the teacher’s explanation. The asking activity is; asking and giving answers between teachers and students after they observed and listened to the teacher’s explanation. The experiment activity was in the group, to prove about the evaporation liquid by sunlight, practicing a song notation, corn planting, making windmill from used drinking bottle, telling the experiment of the use of electricity, and drawing pictures of saving the fossil oil. The analysis and communication are done by students to analyze the result of the experiment. The communication activity was done both in individuals and the group.

Abstract

Penelitian eksperimen ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui adanya pengaruh studentfacilitator and explaining dengan media roda impian berisi question card terhadaphasil belajar siswa. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan cluster randomsampling dan diperoleh kelas XI MIA 1 sebagai kelas kontrol dan XI MIA 2sebagai kelas eksperimen. Metode pengumpulan data yang dilakukan yaituobservasi, dokumentasi, posttest dan angket. Uji hipotesis yang dilakukan yaitu ujiperbedaan dua rata-rata, analisis pengaruh antar variabel dan koefisiendeterminasi. Hasil uji perbedaan dua rata-rata nilai posttest t hitung 4,194 lebih besardari t tabel 1,995 dengan taraf signifikansi 5% dan derajat kebebasan 74. Hal inimenunjukkan bahwa rata-rata hasil belajar kelas eksperimen lebih baik dari kelaskontrol. Analisis pengaruh antar variabel menghasilkan nilai korelasi biserialsebesar 0,55. Perhitungan koefisien determinasi menunjukkan student facilitatorand explaining dengan media roda impian berisi question card berpengaruhsebesar 30,25% terhadap hasil belajar siswa. Hasil analisis lembar observasimenunjukkan rata-rata hasil belajar siswa aspek afektif dan psikomotorik kelaseksperimen lebih tinggi dibandingkan kelas kontrol. Hasil analisis angketdiperoleh tanggapan positif siswa terhadap proses pembelajaran. Berdasarkanhasil penelitian, disimpulkan bahwa model student facilitator and explaining denganmedia roda impian berisi question card berpengaruh positif terhadap hasil belajarsiswa materi kelarutan dan hasil kali kelarutan.

Abstract

Kecerdasan interpersonal sangat penting bagi peserta didik karena kecerdasan interpersonal merupakan kemampuan untuk memahami dan bekerja sama dengan orang lain atau kemampuan bersosial. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendiskripsikan kecerdasan interpersonal peserta didik pada model pembelajaran guided inquiry materi asam basa di kelas XI IPA 1 SMA Negeri 1 Mijen Demak semester genap tahun pelajaran 2018/2019. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan secara keseluruhan kecerdasan interpersonal peserta didik berada pada kategori tinggi artinya peserta didik sudah mampu menjalin hubungan sosial dengan baik dalam pembelajaran model guided inquiry melalui kegiatan diskusi dan kegiatan praktikum. Kemampuan interpersonal yang dianalisis meliputi lima aspek, diantaranya aspek pengolahan empati, memberikan umpan balik, mendengarkan orang lain, bekerjasama, serta pertanyaan dan penyelidikan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran model guided inquiry berbatuan CBT (computer based test) mampu menggali kecerdasan interpersonal peserta didik dengan perolehan persentase klasikal sebesar 66,5% dengan kategori baik. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa kecerdasan interpersonal peserta didik kelas XI MIPA 1 SMA Negeri 1 Mijen Demak pada materi asam basa berkategori baik.

Abstract

Based on Rules of National Education Minister Number 22 Year 2016 about Process Standard in implementing 2013 curriculum, scientific approach in learning could be used to improve cognitive, affective, and psychomotor aspects. To ensure this scientific approach running smoothly, teacher should be able to design learning in which uses scientific aspect. In Banyumas municipal, there were several primary schools implemented 2013 curriculum appropriately. This research aime to analyze effectiveness of scientific approach learning instrument under theme saving energy. This Research and Development study was conducted for fourth graders of SDN 03 Cilangkap and SDN 01 Samudra, Banyumas municipal. The techniques to collect data were interview, observation, questionnaire, documentation, and learning outcome test. The findings showed that the learning instrument validation by validators was said valid. The implementation of the learning instrument on theme ? saving energy for the fourth graders were practical and effective. The effectiveness of the instrument could be seen from the learning outcomes of the students in prestest and posttest. The score of students before intervened by the product was 64.26. Meanwhile, after intervened by the product, it improved into 78.89. Thus, it resulted to N ? Gain test with 0.40, categorized moderate. Furthermore, affective and psychomotor learning outcomes also had improvement with very well criterion on affective domain and well criterion on psychomotor domain.

Abstract

Permasalahan hasil pembelajaran IPA di SMP Negeri 1 Juwana perlu ditingkatkan karena pembelajaran IPA kurang menarik minat siswa dan terbatasnya penggunaan media pembelajaran. Tujuan dalam penelitian ini adalah mengetahui kelayakan dan keefektifan media flashcard berpendekatan PRAMEK yang telah dikembangkan peneliti. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian Research and Development. Langkah-langkah penelitian dikembangkan dengan menggunakan metode R & D. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa media flashcard layak dan efektif diterapkan dalam pembelajaran IPA Terpadu  tema energi pada makhluk hidup. Skor kelayakan penilaian mencapai 96,87% sesuai kriteria layak dari BSNP yang telah dimodifikasi. Ketuntasan klasikal yang diperoleh siswa pada uji pelaksanaan lapangan mencapai 94% yang artinya media flashcard efektif diterapkan untuk pembelajaran IPA. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian disimpulkan media flashcard  berpendekatan PRAMEK layak dan efektif digunakan serta mendapatkan respon yang positif oleh siswa dalam pembelajaran tema energi pada makhluk hidup. The problems of science learning result in Junior High School 1 Juwana needs to be increased because the study of sciene did not make the students to be interested and  too little using of learning media. The purpose of this research was to know the feasibility and effectiveness of flashcard media which Approach of  PRAMEK which has been developed researcher. This research is a Research and Development. Research steps using the method developed by R & D. The results showed that a feasible and  effective flashcard media applied in science learning integrated with theme energy of  living thing. The feasibility assessment scores reached 96,87% according to the criteria to qualify as a National Education Standards. The classical completeness obtained test students on field implementation is 94 % it means flashcard media effectively applied to science learning integrated. Based on the results of the study concluded that a flashcard media  which approach of  PRAMEK  are feasible and  effective  can be used and get positive response from students in science learning integrated with  theme is energy of living thing.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kelayakan alat evaluasi berbasis kontekstual untuk mengukur kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa. Langkah awal pada penelitian ini dimulai dengan observasi. Berdasarkan hasil observasi, guru belum memiliki alat evaluasi untuk mengukur kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa. Oleh karena itu, dilakukan penelitian untuk mengembangkan alat evaluasi berbasis kontekstual untuk mengukur kemampuan berpikir kritis. Desain penelititan ini adalah penelitian Research and Development dengan uji coba skala kecil pada kelas IX B, uji coba skala besar pada VIII C, dan uji pemakaian pada kelas VII F SMP Negeri 2 Boja. Data penelitian yang akan diambil adalah penilaian alat evaluasi oleh pakar, angket keterbacaan siswa dan guru, uji validitas, realibilitas, daya pembeda dan tingkat kesukaran soal, tes kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa dan angket tanggapan siswa dan guru. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa penilaian alat evaluasi oleh pakar memperoleh rata-rata skor 3,63 dengan kriteria layak, tanggapan siswa memperoleh skor 90,56%, dan tanggapan guru sbesar 100% dengan kriteria sangat baik. Kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa diukur dengan alat evaluasi memperoleh skor rata-rata 72,71% dengan kriteria baik. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa alat evaluasi IPA terpadu topik perubahan materi berbasis kontekstual untuk mengukur kemampuan berkir kritis siswa valid dan layak digunakan. This research is done to know the expediency of contextual based evaluation tool to measure students’ critical thinking ability. First step in this research begins with observation. Based on the observation result, teachers hadn’t have evaluation tool to measure students’ critical thinking. Therefore, the research is done to develop contextual based evaluation tool to measure students’ critical thinking. The research design is research and development with small scale experiment on XI B class, the big scale experiment on VIII C class, and consumption test to VII F in Junior High School 2 Boja. Research data to be retrived is the valuation by epert evaluation tool, test validity, reability, distinguishing, and level of dificulty, test students’ critical thinking and questionnaire responses of student and teacher. Its result shows that the developed evaluation tool is valid and suitable to be used with average score 3,63 from the experts, studentss response achievement is 90,56% and teacher response achievement is 100% with excellent criteria. Students’ critical thinking is measured by evaluation tool  shows that the average score is 72,71% which is included to good criteria. The conclusion is the contextual based changing material topic of integrated science evaluation tool is valid and suitable to use.

Abstract

Pembelajaran dengan sistem jarak jauh pada masa wabah Covid-19 menimbulkan kendala, salah satunya guru kesulitan dalam memberikan penjelasan ataupun pemahaman terkait materi pelajaran yang membutuhkan penggunaan media sebagai alat bantu pembelajaran. Keterbatasan inilah yang mendorong terciptanya Media Interaktif Berbasis Android yang dapat di akses mandiri sebagai media dan sumber belajar peserta didik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh penggunaan media interaktif berbasis android terhadap pemahaman konsep dan hasil belajar siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian campuran (Mixed Methods) dalam bentuk Convergent Design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa SD yang ada di Kecamatan Bulu, Kabupaten Temanggung. Sampel penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas V SD Negeri Wonosari dan SD Negeri 3 Wonotirto. Data penelitian dikumpulkan dengan melakukan observasi dan tes tertulis kepada para siswa. Data dianalisis dengan analisis deskriptif, uji t-test dan uji N-gain. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan sebagai berikut: (1) Terdapat pengaruh penerapan model pembelajaran berbantuan media interaktif berbasis android terhadap pemahaman konsep siswa pada materi konsep rangka manusia dibandingkan dengan pembelajaran menggunakan media video powerpoint pada aplikasi whatsapp (presentase ketuntasan kelas eksperimen yang meningkat sebanyak 77,78% dibandingkan kelas kontrol yang hanya sebesar 66,66%). (2) terdapat hubungan yang positif dan signifikan antara pemahaman konsep siswa dengan hasil belajar siswa, setelah diterapkan media interaktif berbasis android (berdasarkan perhitungan koefisien determinan atau R square, pemahaman konsep dapat memberikan pengaruh sebesar 35,5% terhadap kenaikan hasil belajar siswa). Skor di kelas eksperimen dengan penggunaan media interaktif berbasis android lebih tinggi daripada skor di kelas kontrol yang menggunakan media pembelajaran video powerpoint.Abstract Learning with a remote system during the Covid-19 outbreak caused obstacles, one of which was the difficulty of teachers in providing explanations or understanding regarding subject matter that required the use of media as a learning aid. This limitation has led to the creation of Android-based Interactive Media that can be accessed independently as a medium and learning resource for students. This study aims to analyze the effect of using Android-based interactive media on conceptual understanding and student learning outcomes. This study uses a mixed research method (Mixed Methods) in the form of Convergent Design. The population in this study were elementary school students in Bulu District, Temanggung Regency. The sample of this research was the fifth-grade students of SD Negeri Wonosari and SD Negeri 3 Wonotirto. The research data were collected by observing and writing tests to the students. Data were analyzed using descriptive analysis, t-test and N-gain test. The results showed the following: (1) There was an effect of the application of the learning model assisted by interactive media based on android on students' conceptual understanding of the human skeleton concept material compared to learning using video PowerPoint media in the WhatsApp application (the percentage of completeness of the experimental class increased by 77.78% compared to the control class which was only 66.66%). (2) there is a positive and significant relationship between students' conceptual understanding and student learning outcomes, after implementing Android-based interactive media (based on the calculation of the determinant coefficient or R square, understanding the concept can have an effect of 35.5% on the increase in student learning outcomes). The scores in the experimental class using Android-based interactive media were higher than the scores in the control class using PowerPoint video learning media.

Abstract

This development research aimd to: (1) Develop simple thermochemical teaching aids (2) Practical activities with the concept of Green chemistry that were environmentally friendly and safe to use (3) Obtain teacher responses to thermochemical teaching aids with Green chemistry as an alternative to the limited pre-practicum facilities. The development model used in this research was the 4-D model by Thiagarajan, Semmel, and Semmel which had been modified from four stages to three stages, namely: (1) Define (2) Design and (3) Develop (development). The stages carried out include (1) preliminary studies (2) product development and (3) product testing. The results of the preliminary study indicated that the development of teaching aids as a substitute for practicum activities was needed due to the limited existing facilities and infrastructure. Also, because thermochemical material had a high level of understanding and the abstractness of the concept, it was necessary to carry out practicum activities. The use and development of calorimetry props was an alternative in the implementation of thermochemical material practicum activities and by utilizing waste, it was possible to present simple calorimetry props that were environmentally friendly and safe to use. The results of product development in the form of props obtained the validity of the material with the results of 0.89 and the validity of the media with the results of 0.90, therefore the validation results of the props were categorized as valid. The practicality of the teaching aids was Green chemistry 88%, the result shows that the teaching aids developed were very practical so that these props were suitable for practicum. While the results of the teacher's response to the teaching aids with an overall average of 3.75 (maximum score of 4), based on these results indicate that the overall response of students to the teaching aids was very good.

Abstract

In primary schools, students are given lessons that can be used to develop their character and various potentials, one of them is science subjects. The CLIS model can be used as an alternative learning model in teaching science because it contains constructivist learning elements that lead to meaningful learning. The purpose of this study was to analyze the effectiveness of the constructivist learning model using Children Learning In Science (CLIS) type in improving student learning outcomes. This study used a quasi-experimental method. The sample was taken using a random cluster technique were students of grade V SDN 2 Patikraja as the control class and students of grade V SDN 1 Notog as the experimental class. The data analysis used was a one-sample proportion test, N-Gain analysis, and independent-sample t-test. The results show that the use of the CLIS constructivist learning model is effective in improving student learning outcomes compared to learning with the expository method. This is evidenced by the increase in student scores before and after the implementation of the CLIS constructivist learning model is in the medium category, students in experimental class achieve classical completeness >75%, and the average learning outcomes of the experimental class is higher than the control class, as well as students shows positive responses. So this research can be helpful for the students and the teachers in learning sains.
