Abstract

The purpose of this research is to know the describe of teacher’s performance, the describe of student’s achievement and the correlation between the teacher’s performance and the student’s achievement Elementary School Group 5 Gunung Sari Subdistrict in year of 2015/2016. The research is based from the issues that the teacher’s performance is allegedly correlated to the student’s study achievement. This research is by using Correlative Descriptive Approach. The technique used to retrieve data is by using the questionnaire method and documentation method. The sample of this research is 80 students that is choose by using Stratified Proportional Random Sampling method to Students Grade IV, V, and VI of Elementary School Gugus V Gunung Sari subdistrict. The result of this research show that the average value of teacher’s performanceis 23,27 (very high). Besides the average value of student’s achievement is 77,42 (middle high). There is a positive and significant correlation between the teacher’s performance and the student’s achievement that showed by koefisien korelasi (r) among the variable of teacher’s performance and the student’s study achievement is 0,479 based on significance rate on 5% with the rCount > rTable (0,479 > 0,220) which is means that variable of teacher’s performance and variable of student’s achievement is significantly correlated.

Abstract

Abstrak Perbaikan mutu pendidikan membutuhkan patnership antara kepala sekolah sebagai pemimpin pendidikan yang transformatif, peran guru lebih konstruktif dan keterlibatan orang tua untuk meningkatkan mutu pendidikan. Penyebab utama sekolah mempunyai kinerja yang tinggi yaitu; (1) budaya atau iklim sekolah; (2) kepemimpinan dan sistem sekolah; (3) dukungan orang tua. Untuk menciptakan mutu pendidikan, maka sekolah dituntut mengembangkan manajemen mutu yang menekankan pada pengembangan budaya mutu. Kepala sekolah, guru dan orang tua dapat mengembangkan perbaikan mutu pendidikan. Hasil observasi yang dilakukan di sekolah mitra ditemukan bahwa kerja sama antara kepala sekolah, guru dan orang tua belum terjalin dengan baik. sehingga dibutuhkan suatu pelatihan untuk memberikan pencerahan terkait pentingnya kemitraan antara kepala sekolah, guru dan orang tua. Tujuan pelatihan ini adalah untuk memberikan pemahaman yang baik terkait bagaimana membangun kemitraan antara kepala sekolah, guru, dan orang tua dalam meningkatkan mutu pendidikan di sekolah. Pelatihan ini dilaksanakan di sekolah SDN 3 Batu Mekar selama satu hari dan dihadiri oleh kepala sekolah, guru, dan orang tua dengan jumlah seluruh peserta adalah 25 orang. Dari hasil evaluasi kegiatan pelatihan ini meningkatkan pemahaman dan mendapatkan respons positif dari seluruh peserta yang hadir. Kata kunci: pelatihan kemitraan;  kepala sekolah; guru; orang tua; mutu pendidikan. Abstract Improving the quality of education requires a partnership between the principal as a transformative educational leader, the role of teachers more constructively and the involvement of parents to improve the quality of education. The main causes of high school performance are: (1) school culture or climate; (2) leadership and school systems; (3) parental support. To create quality education, schools are required to develop quality management that emphasizes the development of a quality culture. Principals, teachers and parents can develop educational quality improvement. The results of observations made in partner schools found that the cooperation between principals, teachers and parents has not been well established. so a training is needed to provide enlightenment related to the importance of partnerships between principals, teachers and parents. The purpose of this training is to provide a good understanding of how to build partnerships between principals, teachers and parents in improving the quality of education in schools. The training was held at SDN 3 Batu Mekar for one day and was attended by principals, teachers and parents with a total of 25 participants. From the evaluation results, this training activity increased understanding and received positive responses from all participants. Keywords: partnership training; school principals; teachers; parents; quality of education.

Abstract

Rendahnya minat belajar dan literasi sains siswa masih menjadi permasalahan dalam pembelajaran IPAS, khususnya di kelas IV SDN 34 Mataram. Berdasarkan hasil observasi awal, pembelajaran berpusat pada guru, partisipasi siswa rendah, dan hasil belajar banyak di bawah KKM. Kondisi ini menunjukkan perlunya inovasi model pembelajaran yang lebih kontekstual dan berpusat pada siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) dengan metode Science Adventure (variabel independen) terhadap minat belajar dan literasi sains siswa (variabel dependen). Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain quasi experiment nonequivalent control group, melibatkan 41 siswa kelas IV sebagai kelompok eksperimen dan kontrol. Data dikumpulkan melalui angket dan tes, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan uji normalitas, homogenitas, dan Independent Sample t-test. Hipotesis penelitian menyatakan ada pengaruh positif signifikan model CTL dengan metode Science Adventure terhadap minat belajar dan literasi sains siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukan nilai signifikansi minat belajar dan literasi sains 0.001 (< 0.05), uji effect size memperoleh nilai sebesar 53 % untuk minat belajar dan 35.7%  kemampuan literasi sains. Artinya ada pengaruh positif dan signifikan model pembelajaran CTL  terhadap minat belajar dan literasi sains siswa. Secara praktis, hasil penelitian ini dapat menjadi rujukan bagi guru dalam merancang pembelajaran IPAS yang kontekstual dan bermakna.

Abstract

The implementation of guidance and counseling in elementary schools is the task of the class teacher. This is related to the rare availability of BK teachers or special counselors on duty in elementary schools. In fact, based on the results of observations during the implementation of the research in June-July 2022 at SD Negeri 1 Kekeri, teachers have not implemented BK services optimally. Therefore, the PGSD FKIP Universitas Mataram service team carried out community service with the title "Workshop on the Urgency of Utilizing Innovative Learning Media in Guidance and Counseling in Elementary Schools". To achieve the objectives of counseling and training as implied in the title of this community service, several methods are used, namely lectures, questions and answers or discussions and mentoring. After Community Service. After community service is completed, it is required to meet the targets, namely: (1) mandatory output in the form of one scientific paper in the form of an article in the interactive journal JIP FKIP UNRAM; and (2) additional output in the form of a statement letter on the use of IPTEK by Partners. This workshop was held on Saturday, June 22, 2024 with an interactive and practical approach. Participants were not only given theoretical materials, but also involved in discussions, simulations, and direct practice using learning media. During the workshop, some of the main materials discussed included: basic concepts of guidance and counseling at the elementary school level, the importance of utilizing innovative learning media, types of media that can be used in guidance and counseling, and ways to utilize these media effectively. The results of the pretest and posttest showed that the implementation of the workshop had a positive impact. Participants experienced an increase in understanding of all the materials presented. In addition, during the implementation of the preparation of innovative media and simulations, all participants were actively involved in creating media and practicing them

Abstract

This study aims to present research results related to the development of the MALIKA Board media to foster career awareness in 4th grade elementary school students. The media development model used is the ADDIE (analyze, design, develop, implement, and evaluate) model. The subjects of this study were nine fourth-grade elementary school students in the city of Mataram. The instruments in this study are validation questionnaires of media experts, material experts, and user responses. Validation was carried out by two 2 media experts, one material expert, and 1 grade fourth teacher. Limited and small group trials involved nine students, while large-scale trials (effectiveness tests) involved 31 4th grade elementary school students as research subjects. The data collected is the feasibility value of experts and users (quantitative) as well as criticism (qualitative) as input for the MALIKA media. The results of media expert validation showed a score of 83.75 (adequate). The validation results of the material experts and practitioners showed a score of 78.5 (feasible). Effectiveness data collection using pretest and posttest with 15 multiple choice and short answer questions. The results of the media effectiveness test on a limited group showed a score of 80 (sufficient), and for a small group, a score of 80.4 (sufficient). The large-scale test showed that Malika media was effective based on the Wilcoxson test (Zcount 4.011> Z able 1.96).The results of the validation and field test show that the MALIKA board is suitable for introducing career concepts to fourth-grade elementary school students.

Abstract

This study focuses on describing the forms of parental involvement in children's education at SDN 1 Wates, Slahung District, Ponorogo Regency. This study focuses on describing the forms of parental involvement in student learning activities, involvement in extracurricular activities, and various obstacles that accompany parental involvement. This study was conducted using a case study design. The selected research subjects were one principal, six class teachers, and four parents, consisting of two parents of lower grade students and two guardians of upper grade students. Data collection techniques were carried out through observations, in-depth interviews, and document analysis. The instruments used were observation, interview, and document analysis guidelines. The data analysis techniques used were data reduction models, data displays, and conclusive drawing/verification. Data validation was carried out by triangulation, namely, source triangulation. In general, parental involvement at SDN 1 Wates consists of two forms: involvement in children's education at home and involvement in children's education at school. In supporting children's education at home, parents do the following: (1) accompany and motivate children while studying; (2) communicate regarding the development of children's learning and fluency; (3) provide learning facilities; (4) communicate with teachers; (5) become volunteers; and (6) attend meetings at school. In addition to participating in children's education, parents are involved in extracurricular activities, such as scouts, TPA, gamelan, and traditional dance. Various factors that inhibit the implementation of partnerships and the involvement of students' parents based on the statements of the principal, teachers, and parents of students at SDN 1 Wates are: (1) economic factors and parents' busyness; (2) communication obstacles; (3) parents' educational background; and (4) parents' self-efficacy regarding their capacity to be involved in their children's education

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan media kartu bergambar berbasis kearifan lokal sasak terhadap keterampilan membaca siswa kelas IISDN 15 Cakranegara. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian Quasi Experimental Design berbentuk Nonequevalent Kontrol Group Design. Subjek penelitian adalah seluruh siswa kelas II SDN 15 Cakranegara yang berjumlah 67 siswa, terdiri atas kelas II A sebanyak 34 siswa sebagai kelas kontrol dam kelas II B sebanyak 33 siswa sebagai kelas eksperimen. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini meliputi observasi dan tes. Analisis data dilakukan melalui uji prasyarat yang meliputi uji normalitas dan uji homogenitas, kemudian dilanjutkan dengan uji hipotesis menggunakan Independet Sample T-test serta perhitungan Effect Size. Hasil pengujian hipotesis diperoleh nilai sig. (2-tailed) adalah 0,002 < 0,05 dan nilai T hitung > T tabel yaitu 3,300 > 1,997, sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh penggunaan media kartu bergambar berbasis kearifan lokal sasak terhadap keterampilan membaca siswa kelas II SDN 15 Cakranegara. Hasil uji effect size, diperoleh nilai d sebesar 0,806 yang termasuk dalam kategori tinggi, sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan media kartu bergambar berbasis kearifan lokal sasak memberikan pengaruh yang tinggi terhadap keterampilan membaca siswa dengan indikator mengetahui jenis huruf, mengenal kata serta membaca kata dan kalimat.

Abstract

Professional teachers are able to design creative learning, utilize information technology, and build a conducive learning climate. Teacher professionalism is closely linked to the success of the learning process and student academic achievement. This study aims to analyze the transformational leadership of the school principal, teacher professionalism, and community participation in supporting the improvement of educational quality at SMPN 2 Lingsar. The research employed a qualitative approach with a descriptive design to obtain an in-depth understanding of educational quality improvement practices. The research instruments included interview guidelines, observation sheets, and documentation as the main data sources. Data analysis was conducted through data reduction, data display, and systematic conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that transformational leadership, strong teacher professionalism, and active participation of the school committee and community significantly contribute to creating a conducive school climate and enhancing sustainable educational quality.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran Cooperative Learning tipe Teams Games Tournament (TGT) berbantuan media wordwall terhadap pemahaman konsep matematis siswa kelas IV SDN 3 Karang Bongkot. Jenis penelitian ini adalah eksperimen dengan desain Quasi Eksperimental tipe Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Teknik penentuan sampel menggunakan sampling jenuh, populasi terdiri dari 20 orang kelas eksperimen dan 20 orang kelas kontrol. Teknik pengambilan data berupa teknik tes dan observasi. Tes digunakan untuk mengukur pemahaman konsep matematis peserta didik dan observasi untuk melihat keterlaksanaan pembelajaran. Data hasil observasi dianalisis secara deskriptif berupa persentase dan diperoleh persentase sebesar 92,31% dengan kategori sangat baik. Teknik analisis data menggunakan uji t, namun sebelumnya dilakukan uji prasyarat berupa uji normalitas, diperoleh data berdistribusi normal dengan nilai signifikansi > 0,05. Hasil uji homogenitas pretest dan posttest mendapatkan sig. sebesar 0,533 dan 0,481 yang artinya > 0,05 maka data dinyatakan homogen. Hasil uji hipotesis diperoleh melalui uji independent sample t test mendapatkan sig. (2-tailed) 0,000 < 0,05 dan nilai t hitung yaitu (4,505) > t tabel (2,024), yang artinya Ha diterima dan Ho ditolak. Selanjutnya dilakukan uji N-Gain diperoleh nilai gain sebesar 0,6449 (64,49%), yang menunjukkan tingkat pengaruh sedang. Secara praktis, temuan ini mengindikasikan bahwa guru matematika SD dapat mengadopsi model TGT berbantuan Wordwall sebagai alternatif pembelajaran inovatif untuk meningkatkan pemahaman konsep siswa, terutama pada materi bangun datar, karena model ini terbukti mampu menciptakan suasana belajar yang interaktif, kompetitif, dan menyenangkan serta mendorong keterlibatan aktif siswa secara kolaboratif. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh model pembelajaran Teams Games Tournament (TGT) berbantuan media wordwall terhadap pemahaman konsep matematis siswa kelas IV SDN 3 Karang Bongkot dengan besar pengaruh 0,6449 (64,49%) yang termasuk dalam kategori sedang.

Abstract

Students' interest in learning science subjects has an important role in supporting learning success, but conditions in class IV of SDN 1 Pringga Jurang show that students' interest in learning is still low, which can be seen from the lack of attention, involvement, and enthusiasm of students during the learning process which is still dominated by conventional methods. This study aims to determine the effect of the use of Kahoot media on students' interest in learning science subjects in grade IV of SDN 1 Pringga Jurang. This study uses a quantitative approach with a Quasi Experimental Design research type in the form of One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The subjects of the study were all 24 students of grade IV of SDN 1 Pringga Jurang. Data collection techniques in this study include questionnaires and observations. Data analysis was carried out through prerequisite tests including normality tests and homogeneity tests, then continued with hypothesis testing using Paired Sample T-test and Effect Size calculations. The results of the normality test showed that the pre-test data had a significance value of 0.645 and the post-test data of 0.357 (Sig. > 0.05), indicating that the data were normally distributed. Meanwhile, the homogeneity test showed a significance value of 0.086 (Sig. > 0.05), indicating that the data were homogeneous. The results of hypothesis testing obtained a Sig. (2-tailed) value of 0.001 <0.05 and a calculated T value > T table of 21.285 > 2.064, so it can be concluded that there is an effect of the use of Kahoot media on students' interest in learning science subjects in grade IV of SDN 1 Pringga Jurang. The effect size test results obtained a d-value of 4.345, which falls into the strong effect category. Therefore, it can be concluded that the use of Kahoot media has a strong influence on students' learning interest, as indicated by indicators of enjoyment, interest, attention, and engagement in learning.
