Abstract

Tax and zakat are two important duties that are very important for keeping the country and society going. In Indonesia, both positive law and Islamic law say that civil servants (PNS) have a social duty to meet certain tasks. This paper seeks to examine the responsibilities of PNS in discharging both tax and zakat commitments from the viewpoint of Islamic law, which stipulates that every individual is required to pay both to enhance societal welfare. The aim of this study is to delineate and examine the responsibilities of PNS regarding the payment of taxes and zakat, alongside the Islamic legal viewpoint on both. Data was gathered through a qualitative methodology employing descriptive analysis from both primary and secondary sources, including legislation, fatwas, and pertinent literature. The study's results show that, according to Islamic law, tax is a legal duty of the state, but zakat is a religious duty that all Muslims, including PNS, must undertake. These two duties work together to improve the well-being of society. Because of this, PNS has a double duty to pay taxes and zakat: it is both a state duty and a social duty under Islamic law.

Abstract

Introduction: Cardiac arrest is a life-threatening emergency that requires immediate and effective intervention. In many hospitals, the success rate of resuscitation remains low, partly due to inadequate Basic Life Support (BLS) skills among healthcare workers. Similar conditions were identified in the Emergency Department (ED) of RSUD dr. La Palaloi Maros, where several nurses had not received recent BLS refresher training, leading to decreased proficiency in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR). Objective: This community service program aimed to improve nurses’ competence in performing rapid and accurate resuscitation through a structured Basic Life Support (BLS) refresh training Method: The program was conducted in November 2025 using a structured health education approach consisting of education, demonstration, hands-on practice, and simulation. Participants received updated materials based on the 2020–2022 American Heart Association (AHA) guidelines, followed by supervised CPR and AED practice using manikins. Skills were evaluated qualitatively through direct observation, focusing on compression quality, ventilation techniques, AED use, and team coordination. Result The training resulted in a significant improvement in nurses’ knowledge and practical skills. Participants were able to initiate chest compressions more quickly, perform compressions and ventilations with better accuracy, and use Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) correctly. Team communication and coordination during cardiac arrest simulations also improved noticeably. Conclusion: BLS refresh training effectively enhanced the resuscitation abilities of ED nurses at RSUD dr. La Palaloi Maros. Regular and continuous refresher programs are recommended to maintain optimal CPR performance and ensure long-term readiness in emergency situations.

Abstract

The digital era has brought major transformations in various aspects of life, including in the formation of the nation's character. Although it offers convenience and innovation, this era also presents serious challenges, such as moral crisis, the spread of disinformation, degradation of social values, and weakening of national identity. In the midst of these conditions, the integration of Pancasila values and Islamic teachings is a relevant strategic approach to strengthen the character and identity of the Indonesian nation. Both have aligned values that cover spiritual, social, and humanitarian aspects that can be implemented contextually in education, social life, and the digital space. This article discusses how the integration of Pancasila values and the principles of Islamic teachings can form a strong national character in the digital era, as well as its implementation strategies through character education, moral digital literacy, and role models in public spaces. This qualitative research uses a literature study methodology to explore various sources, including research journals and policy documents. Data were analyzed using content analysis, focusing on themes related to the values of Pancasila and Islamic teachings and their integration in building character in the digital era. The findings emphasize the importance of integrating Pancasila values and Islamic teachings from an early age that are in line with the development of national character amid the challenges and opportunities of the digital era.

Abstract

Marriage is an important part of a person's life, and in some cultures, parents have a lot of power over who their children marry. Islamic law in Indonesia lets parents have a voice in who their children marry, but child protection laws stress that minors have the freedom to pick their own partners. This study seeks to evaluate the legal authority of parents in selecting their children's spouses, through an analysis of Islamic law and child protection rules in Indonesia. This research employs a qualitative methodology, incorporating a literature review from many legal sources, including Islamic law texts, Indonesian legislation, and perspectives from legal and child protection professionals. The results show that Islamic law gives parents the right to advise their children on who to marry, while Indonesian child protection laws put more emphasis on the kid's freedom to pick their spouse freely and without pressure. In conclusion, even though Islamic law and child protection laws don't agree on everything, they both stress the need of balancing the rights of parents and children when choosing a life partner.

Abstract

In Islamic law, marriage registration is very significant for both legal and religious reasons. It is a crucial part of making sure that both the administrative duties of marriage and the safety of the family are protected. In Islamic law, marriage is not just a social contract but also a religious duty that necessitates adequate documentation to safeguard the rights of both parties involved. This paper seeks to investigate the notion of marriage registration through the lens of Islamic law, analyzing its function in protecting familial rights, providing legal safeguards, and performing administrative responsibilities. The study methodology utilized is a qualitative approach, incorporating a literature review and document analysis of Islamic legal texts and pertinent current legal systems. The results show that registering a marriage in Islamic law is important not just for making the marriage official, but also for getting legal recognition, avoiding conflicts, and making sure that family members, especially women and children, are safe under the law. The registration process also makes it clear what the marriage's legal status is and what it means for things like inheritance, custody, and other family issues. In conclusion, marriage registration is an important part of Islamic law that upholds justice, protects the family, and makes sure that the marriage is legally protected and accountable.

Abstract

The controversy referred to in this paper is not to find a clash with the qath'i texts, but to find a common perception of the two propositions so as to find the point of truth. The controversy surrounding the issue of text versus context will never be resolved because the existence and urgency of the Qur'an revealed are global in nature so that a broader interpretation is needed to give benefit to humans to be able to be applied in human muamalat problems. In understanding the propositions that are already qath'i, sometimes it is found groups who use the text approach and then use the context approach in different situations. So it is considered confusing among Muslims. Whereas the existence of the Qur'an as a revealed book is very adaptive to various problems so it must be elaborated based on the demands of the circumstances and time.

Marriage in the perspective of Islamic law is based on a strong foundation as a sacred institution, aimed at achieving a harmonious, loving, and compassionate family life. However, with the dynamics of society and changes over time, the challenges in maintaining a lasting and happy marriage have become more complex. This study aims to explore the concept of marriage reconstruction in the perspective of Islamic law, focusing on renewal efforts that can ensure the sustainability and happiness of households. The research method used is a literature review with a qualitative approach, examining classical and contemporary texts on marriage in Islamic law, as well as interviews with religious and community figures. The findings reveal that marriage reconstruction in Islam not only emphasizes the re-understanding of the rights and obligations of spouses but also highlights the importance of spiritual approaches, effective communication, and wise conflict resolution. The conclusion of this study is that renewal in marriage practices is essential to address modern issues faced by couples, such as inequality, role differences, and a lack of understanding about marriage rights. With proper reconstruction, marriage can serve as a stronger foundation for achieving a sustainable and happy family life.
