Abstract

The demand for learning media for those who have visual impairments in learning physics is growing. Braille letters that cannot accommodate physics equations and symbols are an impediment that must be addressed promptly. The technique that can be used is, of course, to present a new version of current Braille. The Braille form for Physics in this article is still a work in progress. We are eager to collaborate with professionals in physics and Braille. In addition, as a follow-up, we will consider validating and constructing a Braille physics dictionary utilizing 3x3 Braille forms.

Abstract

Slow learning is a learning disability in children that greatly slows down the learning process so that every learning activity takes longer than their peers. Universal Design for Learning (UDL) is a learning design defined as the design of material that is generally made to be more easily understood by diverse students in an inclusive classroom. That way, UDL aims to minimize learning difficulties for students with different learning needs, including students with special needs. In learning, media is an important factor that helps support learning success, especially for students with special needs, including children who are slow to learn. Learning media that are considered suitable to support the success of children slow to learn are interactive games whose core material is presented in the form of videos that are enhanced with audio and visual media. Audio media with narrated and text, graphics, images, visual animations, and interesting kinesthetic interactions to sharpen students' abilities. The method used to create this article is literature review from various relevant sources. The result of this study is that the use of interactive game learning media based on Universal Design Learning (UDL) can help provide convenience for slow learner students in understanding the subject matter at school.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to analyze the relationship between Lego games and the learning concentration of autistic children.The research method used is quantitative with correlational study techniques. This study uses data analysis and testing the Spearman Rank Correlation hypothesis. Collecting data using observation. The subjects in this study were autistic children.The results showed that there was a significant relationship between Lego games and the learning concentration of autistic children. This is shown by testing the hypothesis using the Spearman rank correlation coefficient formula with a value of 0.9 greater than the rho table value of 0.886 at an error level of 5%.

Abstract

SARI – Bendungan adalah suatu bangunan penampung air yang dibentuk dari berbagai batuan, tanah dan juga beton.Bendungan dibangun untuk menahan laju air, sehingga menjadi waduk. Salah satu waduk yang ada di Daerah IstimewaYogyakarta adalah Waduk Sermo dan telah dioperasikan sejak tahun 1996. Waduk ini terletak di wilayah DesaHargowilis, Kecamatan Kokap, Kabupaten Kulonprogo, Provinsi Yogyakarta, Indonesia. Wilayah cakupan WadukSermo berada pada 110°1' sampai 110°16' Bujur Timur dan 7°38' sampai dengan 7°59' Lintang Selatan. Waduk Sermomerupakan salah satu objek wisata di Kabupaten Kulonprogo, yang diresmikan oleh Presiden Soeharto pada tanggal 20November 1996 dengan membendung Sungai Ngrancah. Konstruksi waduk berukuran lebar atas 8 m, lebar bawah 250m, panjang 190 m, dan tinggi 56 m (Balai Pengelola Sumber Daya Air dan Sungai Provinsi DIY, 2017). Waduk Sermo memiliki berbagai macam fungsi dan sangat bermanfaat bagi masyarakat. Fungsi utamanyaadalah sebagai penampung air yang disalurkan oleh Perusahaan Daerah Air Minum (PDAM) untuk air bersih, irigasiatau pengairan, serta pencegah banjir. Seperti diketahui bahwa tubuh bendungan mengalami tekanan dari efek tekananair waduk. Akibat gaya tekanan ini maka tubuh bendungan kemungkinan dapat mengalami pergerakan berupapergerakan baik itu ke arah horizontal maupun ke arah vertikal. Apabila terjadi pergerakan yang cukup besarmengakibatkan banyak kerugian seperti terjadinya keretakan pada struktur bangunan bendungan, longsor, kerugianfinansial dan bahkan korban jiwa. Bendungan memiliki peranan yang cukup penting bagi kehidupan masyarakat, sehingga diperlukan suatu metodepemeliharaan dan perawatan yang memadai untuk menghindari kerusakan pada bendungan tersebut. Macam-macammetode pemantauan pergerakan, yaitu metode geodetik dan metode non geodetik. Salah satu metode geodetik untukpemeliharaan dan perawatan tersebut adalah dengan melakukan pemantauan pergerakan tiga dimensi (3D) pada tubuhbendungan. Pergerakan mungkin disebabkan oleh gempa bumi, retakan, pergerakan lempeng, level air tinggi danrendah, rembesan atau kebocoran.Kata-kata kunci : Bendungan, Geodetik, Pergerakan Tiga Dimensi (3D).

Abstract

Abstract: The development of mobile learning ecosystem materials for elementary school students aims to produce a learning media that aims to support teachers in delivering learning materials in class while increasing interest in learning. Research and Development (R&D) is the research method used, and the Lee and Owens model is the development model used in this development. The results of this mobile learning development were validated by the validator with an average percentage of 94.5%. The results of this validation indicate that the resulting mobile learning is valid or feasible to use in the learning process in order to increase student interest in learning.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the differences between the career development of students with disabilities in private and public schools. It applied a comparative method involving 84 special education teachers teaching vocational education at the junior and senior high school levels. Career development was examined through the development perspective using three components: career awareness, exploration, and preparation. The first instrument was used to collect the demographic data, and the second instrument generated the teachers' perception of the career development of students with disability in the special schools. The obtained data were analyzed using the Kruskal-Wallis test. Our finding suggested that the career development of students with disabilities in private and public schools was not substantially different. Meanwhile, their career development based on their various disabilities also did not vary significantly. Interestingly, the students with intellectual disabilities presented narrower career development than those with other disabilities, primarily in the career preparation aspect. Our analysis showed that this finding could be caused by more significant hindrances encountered by the students with intellectual disabilities in relation to their self-determination. This research can be used as a basis for providing career services for the career development of students with special needs, both in private and public schools.

Abstract

Sebagai karya asli bangsa Indonesia, batik memiliki keanekaragaman motif yang menjadi ciri khas masing-masing daerah asalnya. Seiring perkembangan jaman, teknik membatik juga semakin berkembang. Salah satu teknik batik yang paling tradisional adalah teknik batik tulis menggunakan canting. Teknik ini membutuhkan tangan yang terampil untuk menggambar pola-pola motif langsung pada kain. Salah satu karakteristik anak berkebutuhan khusus dengan potensi seni yang cukup tinggi adalah tunarungu. Dengan mengoptimalkan kemampuan tunarungu dalam berkreasi, pelatihan ini diharapkan dapat membuka peluang usaha bekerja dan berwirausaha pada bidang ekonomi kreatif. Metode yang digunakan pada pelatihan ini adalah ceramah , demonstrasi, dan pelatihan. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan antusiasme yang tinggi dari peserta untuk menyelesaikan karya batik masing-masing.

Abstract

Shibori is a cloth decoration technique that is done by tying, folding, or making cloth knots. Interesting motifs and have a high selling value. Training is one way that can be used to increase community creativity. This community service research method is descriptive qualitative. Data collection techniques were carried out through field notes, documentation, and observation. Data analysis is collected based on certain groups. The shibori-making training consists of two stages, namely 1) providing general information; and 2) theoretical and practical activities. The response of students with special needs and the school showed very good results. After the training, new knowledge and insight emerged for students with special needs and fine motor skills also increased, as evidenced by the regular mixing of motif colors.

Abstract

Batik is Indonesia's cultural heritage which is sustainable through inheritance from generation to generation. Batik is unique in terms of the motifs and techniques used. The aim of the splash batik training for students with special needs at Putra Pancasila SLB Foundation is to pass on a noble culture while at the same time equipping students with vocational skills that can support their lives. The splash technique was chosen based on the results of pre-implementation observations because it is simpler and can be followed by students with special needs at Putra Pancasila SLB Foundation. The methods used in this service are observation, demonstration, and training. The results of this training show that students with special needs are able to take part in the splash batik process from start to finish and the training participants are enthusiastic during the activity, especially during the process of splashing wax onto cloth using these 3 tools.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the increase in the beginning reading ability of students with mild mental retardation by using a synthetic structural analytic method.The research method used was a pre-experimental design with a one-group-pretest-posttest research design and using the Wilcoxon matched pairs data analysis method. The sample in this study were all students with mild mental retardation at SDLB Sumber Dharma Malang, totaling 5 students.The results showed that there was an increase in the average score from pretest 58 to posttest 93 in students' reading ability. The results of the hypothesis test showed that there was a significant difference 0.041 0.05, the Asymp.sig value 0.05, then it was rejected and accepted, meaning that there was a significant increase in initial reading ability using synthetic structural analytic methods for mild mentally retarded students at SDLB Sumber Dharma Malang City.
