Abstract

The use of plants as spices, seasonings, and food colorings has been an important part of traditional Malay cuisine and beverages in Pontianak City. However, the influx of modern culture and the increasing use of instant ingredients have caused local knowledge regarding the use of these plants to gradually decline. This study aims to determine the types of plants used and their parts in traditional Malay cuisine in Pontianak City. This study used a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. Data were obtained through observation, documentation, and interviews with cooks and spice and spice traders. The results showed that there are 25 plant species used by the community, consisting of 11 types of spice plants, 11 types of herbs, and 4 types of natural food coloring plants. Each plant has a specific function based on the part used, such as rhizomes, leaves, fruits, seeds, and bark. These findings illustrate that traditional knowledge regarding plant utilization is still maintained through inheritance from generation to generation, both orally and directly in daily cooking practices. The diversity of plants used not only enriches the flavor and color of dishes but also reflects the local wisdom of the Malay community in Pontianak City in preserving culinary culture. Efforts to preserve this knowledge are important considering its great potential as a source of learning biology based on local wisdom and its contribution to understanding biodiversity in the surrounding environment.

Abstract

The development of a valid and reliable assessment instrument of digital-age literacy is truly required to determine the level of students' digital-age literacy competence. One major issue is the lack of standardized instruments that comprehensively measure all dimensions of digital-age literacy. This study aims to develop and analyze digital-age literacy inventory instruments (DALI) since there is no standardized instrument regarding digital-age literacy has been created. The development of the DALI is carried through three phases: research scale components identification, writing and developing the questionnaire items, and the analysis of its validity and reliability. A total of 40 statement items were developed based on the digital age literacy component. The sample of this study was 75 eleventh-graders of science State Senior High Schools in Pontianak. The data were analyzed using the Rasch Model with the help of the WINSTEP 3.73 application. The analysis results show that the total value of the Aikens V index is 0.96. DALI has obtained the value of person reliability of 0.71 (good enough), item reliability of 0.98 (excellent), and the value of Cronbach's alpha of 0.75 (good). On the whole, the statement items are declared valid based on the value of outfit MNSQ person and the item of 0,99 and the value of Outfit Z Standardized (ZSTD) in which the person analysis -0.2 and the item of -0,3. Of 40 items being analyzed, 6 items do not fit the Rasch Model, the final number of valid and usable instrument items is 34 items. The development of DALI shows that the quality of the instrument is good and can be used to measure the digital age literacy of senior high school students within the 8 components of the latter.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the challenges and learning approaches developed in Islamic digital ethics education through a systematic literature review (SLR) method. Digital ethics is urgent in Islamic religious education because students increasingly navigate online spaces filled with misinformation, harmful content, and ethical risks, requiring guidance rooted in Qur’anic and Prophetic values. It ensures that technology supports, rather than undermines, moral character and responsible digital behaviour. The method used follows the Prisma 2020 protocol by analysing 28 selected articles from 327 initial literature identified through national and international databases. The findings show that the main challenges in digital ethics learning include teachers’ low digital literacy, the relevance of the curriculum to contemporary issues, and the absence of a contextual pedagogical approach. The identified learning strategies include integrating Islamic values in digital media case studies, using ethical verse interpretation, and using project-based simulations. This study concludes that there is a need to develop a holistic, standardized, and adaptive Islamic digital ethics learning model that adapts to the dynamics of the digital space. The implications of this study’s results include strengthening the curriculum, teacher training, and the development of technology-based for Islamic learning digital media.

The student are not native speaker will be easy to speak and write arabic. the rehearsal of this additional activity will be effective if it supports by right management. There are some purposes of this reasearch : 1. To know the planning of extracurricular for speaking and writing skill. 2. To know the organization of extracurricular for speaking and writing skill 3. To know the evaluation of extracurricular for speaking and writing skill. In This research, the researcher uses qualitative research approach and case study methode. there are two data sources of this reasearch namely primer and secondary data sources, collecting the data through interview, observation, and documentation. Whereas analysing the data uses mils and hubberman analysing models. Based on the result of this research, can take conclusion that management of addtional activity for speaking and writing skill, the first is planning, in this planning consist of establishing purpose, establishing programe, establishing advisor, establishing the fasility of the implamentation of speaking and writing skills. The second is organization, in this organization consist of distributing assigment and obligation to the teacher. The third is evalution, the evalution of extracurricular of speaking skill did orally whereas the evalution for writing skill through correcting the result of student’s wriring for one month.

Abstract

The management of practical facilities and infrastructure is a crucial component of vocational education because it directly affects the quality of learning and students’ readiness to meet industry demands. Many vocational schools still face challenges in planning, maintaining, and optimizing facility use, resulting in practicum activities that do not fully support competency achievement. Strengthening facility management practices that align with industrial standards is therefore essential. This study aims to analyze the management of facilities and infrastructure at SMK Negeri 1 Pontianak based on practicum needs using the POSDCORB theoretical framework. A descriptive qualitative method was employed through in-depth interviews, participatory observations, and documentation studies, supported by source triangulation to ensure data credibility. The findings show that the planning of facility and infrastructure procurement is conducted collaboratively among productive teachers, workshop heads, and industry partners; the organizational structure is clearly implemented through official decrees and SOPs; technical training for teachers and technicians enhances equipment utilization; coordination with internal and external stakeholders is consistently maintained; damage reporting procedures are systematic and well-documented; and budgeting prioritizes essential practicum needs. In conclusion, facility and infrastructure management at SMK Negeri 1 Pontianak demonstrates an adaptive, collaborative, and accountable governance model that effectively supports industry-oriented learning.

Abstract

Polystyrene is a petroleum-based polymer widely used in single-use packaging and thermal insulation. Its high molecular weight and structural stability make it highly resistant to degradation, leading to persistent environmental accumulation. Recent studies have highlighted the potential of insect gut microbiota, particularly from mealworms, to biodegrade plastic waste. In this study, gut extracts were inoculated into Nutrient Broth (NB) and Potato Dextrose Broth (PDB), each supplemented with polystyrene as emulsion, powder, or film. NB showed the highest reduction in polystyrene weight (0.93%) by day 28, compared to PDB (0.73%). Total plate count and yeast-mold count analyses revealed microbial proliferation in both media, with NB exhibiting a higher final bacterial count (7.562 log cfu/mL) than PDB (6.510 log cfu/mL), while fungal counts were comparable. Scanning Electron Microscopy confirmed structural damage to polystyrene films, including surface roughening and micro-pitting, especially in NB. These findings indicate that media composition significantly influences microbial growth and degradation efficiency. NB appears to favor bacterial communities with enhanced plastic-degrading capabilities, demonstrating superior biodegradation potential in liquid culture.
