Abstract

This community service activity aims to increase public understanding of the circular economy concept and encourage its implementation in utilizing wetland potential in Banjar Regency, South Kalimantan. The outreach program was successfully conducted in Guntung Ujung Village, Gambut District, Banjar Regency on August 29, 2025. The results of this activity indicated an increase in the community's initial understanding of the concept and benefits of a circular economy. More than 50 participants, consisting of village residents, MSMEs, and village officials, attended the activity. Most participants expressed their readiness to apply circular economy principles in their economic activities. New initiatives, such as the processing of rice straw into compost by a farmer group, and the interest of a village women's group in developing purun and water hyacinth crafts, were identified. Based on the evaluation results, the team also identified challenges faced by residents, such as limited access to capital, a lack of understanding of wetland resource management, and a lack of supporting infrastructure. Therefore, the results of the circular economy outreach program will serve as the basis for further programs such as training and mentoring in assisted villages.

Health workforce data is an essential foundation for planning and evaluating a region’s health system. Analysis of the distribution and composition of health human resources (HR) in South Kalimantan reveals patterns of spatial inequality and the dominance of certain professions. This reseacrh aims to explore the implications of HR data on the quality of health program planning and budgeting at the provincial and district/city levels. Results indicate that the concentration of human resources in urban areas, the dominance of nursing and midwifery professions, and the shortage of several other HR professionals require targeted policy interventions. Abstract

The rapid advancement of technology has transformed workforce training and professional development, necessitating the integration of technology-driven learning models to enhance competency acquisition and professional readiness. This study examines the relationships between Training and Professional Development (TPD), Emergency Preparedness Competency (EPC), Effectiveness of Technology Implementation in Education and Training (ETIET), and Performance and Readiness of Educators/Professionals (PREP). Using a quantitative research design, data were collected from 70 employees at PT. Aginda Riau Abadi through a structured survey, and Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with Smart PLS was employed for analysis. The findings indicate that TPD and EPC have significant direct effects on PREP, but their influence is stronger when mediated through ETIET, confirming the crucial role of technology in bridging training outcomes and professional performance. The results demonstrate that organizations that invest in VR-based simulations, AI-driven learning platforms, and interactive digital tools can significantly enhance workforce preparedness, crisis management skills, and overall performance. This study highlights the necessity of a blended learning approach that integrates competency-based training with technology-enhanced learning experiences, ensuring professionals are equipped with both theoretical knowledge and practical, technology-adaptive skills. Future research should explore longitudinal effects of technology-mediated training. Keywords: Training; Professional; Development; Emergency; Preparedness

Abstract

The need for energy, especially electricity is increasing along with the development of technology. An increase in electrical load and the location of the powerplant far causes voltage drops and causes power line losses. One solution can be chosen by adding a distributed generation (DG) to the distribution network. This study aims to enhance the voltage profile and reduce power losses based on the optimal placement and capacity of DG-based photovoltaic (PV) in the Bantul Feeder 05 distribution network. The flower pollination algorithm (FPA) method is used to determine the optimal DG placement and capacity. The study was conducted using three additional DG scenarios, namely scenario 1 with single DG and scenario 2 with multi-DG (2 DG and 3 DG). The results showed that the optimal placement and capacity of DG were on buses 9, 19, and 33 with DG sizes of 1.880 kW, 2.550 kW, and 2.300 kW, respectively. This placement can increase the voltage profile and reduce the active power loss from 439.8 kW to 77.5 kW. The research also considers the increase in the reliability of the distribution system observe by the energy not supplied and cost of energy not supplied index.

Abstract

The Industrial Era 4.0 has brought disruptive technological innovation, crossing physical and digital boundaries completely, and changing the way people carry out daily life activities and at work. Technological breakthroughs create opportunities for economic, social and individual growth, but artificial intelligence (AI) will take over human jobs. Human resource development readiness is important to overcome every obstacle in the 4.0 era. The aim of this research is to describe human resource development strategies that face challenges in the industrial era 4.0. The type of research method is descriptive analysis. The results show that a successful HRD strategy involves more than education, coaching, training, institutions, opportunities and rewards. Human resource management must increase creativity, change a fixed mindset into a growth mindset, adapt to science and technology and make changes, create superior human resources and adapt to the influence of the new era entering the social era. 5.0.
