Abstract

This study aims to analyze the carrying capacity of the aquatic environment and the factors that affect the development of Floating Net Cage (KJA) cultivation in Apal Village, Liang District, Banggai Islands Regency. The approach used is quantitative with a field survey method, including the measurement of physical, chemical, and biological parameters of the waters as well as social, economic, legal, and institutional analysis of coastal communities. Physico-chemical data were analyzed descriptive-comparatively based on the Decree of the Director General of PRL No. 55 of 2023, while socio-economic factors were analyzed using multiple linear regression with the help of SPSS 26 software. The results of the study show that the condition of land suitability varies between stations; temperature and general current are still appropriate, but salinity and nitrates exceed thresholds; Ammonia is in the highly appropriate category (S1), while phosphate is high at some points (N). Plankton diversity is moderate (H' 2,232–2,980), indicating fairly good ecosystem stability. Socially, economically, and institutionally, social and economic factors have a positive effect on the carrying capacity of the environment although it is not significant, while institutions have a negative effect due to weak coordination and supervision. In conclusion, the waters of Apal Village still have the potential for sustainable KJA development, but mitigation of high salinity, nutrient load control, and institutional strengthening are needed so that the carrying capacity of the environment is maintained. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of variables on Bank Muamalat's profitability during 2016-2023 using a quantitative approach. The variables tested included CAR (Capital Adequacy Ratio), NPF (Non-Performing Financing), FDR (Financing-to-Deposit Ratio), and inflation. The results of the study show that the variable that has the most significant influence on profitability is NPF (Non-Performing Financing), which has a significant effect on the bank's profitability. This shows that effective non-performing loan management can directly improve the bank's financial performance. Meanwhile, inflation significantly affects profitability, as rising inflation can reduce consumers' purchasing power and affect banks' performance. On the other hand, the CAR (Capital Adequacy Ratio) does not have a significant effect on profitability, indicating that while maintaining financial stability is important, its impact on profitability is not substantial. The same applies to the FDR (Financing-to-Deposit Ratio), which has no significant effect on profitability. These findings imply that NPF management and inflation monitoring should be the primary focus in efforts to increase the profitability of Islamic banks.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effect of the role-playing method on students' speaking skills in the Indonesian language subject "Weather, Seasons, and Climate" in grade III of RK Namopuli Elementary School in the 2024/2025 academic year. This study was a quantitative study using experimental methods. The sample consisted of 21 students, using speaking skills tests, questionnaires, and documentation studies as data collection techniques. The results of the study showed that before the implementation of the role-playing method, students obtained an average score of 50.3, categorized as poor. Then, after the implementation of the role-playing method in learning, students' scores increased by 86.6, categorized as very good. Furthermore, a correlation test was conducted and obtained a value of 0.985 > 0.456 (r count ≥ r table) with a t-test indicating t count ≥ t table (7.311 ≥ 2.093), thus strengthening the decision that Ha was accepted. Thus, the role-playing learning method has a positive and significant effect on students' speaking skills.

Abstract

The integration of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in education, exemplified by the widespread adoption of e-learning, presents both opportunities and challenges, especially within Islamic educational institutions. This study aims to comprehensively examine the application of e-learning in Islamic educational institutions, exploring the philosophical foundations, opportunities, challenges, and implementation strategies. By employing a qualitative approach with case study methods, data was collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and document analysis, providing a holistic and contextual perspective. The analysis revealed that while e-learning offers significant benefits such as increased flexibility, accessibility, and personalized learning, it also faces challenges like technological infrastructure issues, human resource readiness, resistance to change, and data security concerns. Specifically, in the context of Islamic education, concerns about the potential negative impacts of technology on Islamic values were identified. However, the study suggests that with a well-conceptualized framework integrating philosophical, pedagogical, and technological aspects, e-learning can enhance the quality of education and reinforce Islamic values. The findings also provide insights for policymakers and stakeholders in designing, implementing, and evaluating e-learning programs that align with Islamic educational principles. This research contributes to the ongoing development of e-learning practices in Islamic education and offers a foundation for future studies in this domain.

Abstract

This research investigates the lived realities of election commissioners operating under persistent institutional constraints during a local electoral process. Contemporary electoral research frequently depicts election administrators merely as procedural agents, providing insufficient insight into their ethical and psychological dimensions. This inquiry seeks to elucidate how election commissioners perceive pressure, moral obligation, professional dedication, and self-identity within the context of their daily responsibilities. Employing an interpretative phenomenological framework, information was gathered from six local election commissioners through solicited written responses via electronic mail, facilitating profound contemplation on their professional encounters. The gathered data underwent analysis through reflective thematic evaluation. The outcomes unveil four interrelated themes: ongoing structural pressures necessitating ethical discretion, moral impetus extending beyond mere procedural adherence, organizational allegiance functioning as a psychological safeguard, and the continual evolution of professional identity through ethical introspection. These results suggest that electoral integrity arises from the dynamic interplay between individual values and institutional expectations rather than solely from formal regulations. The study enhances psychological insights into moral agency within public service and underscores the necessity for institutional backing, ethical resilience training, and psychosocial support for election officials.

Abstract

Kata Kunci: Animasi 2D, Grafis Bergerak, Pipeline Animasi ABSTRACT This study discusses the design process of a short 2D animated film titled “Breaking Barriers” developed through an animation pipeline covering three main stages: pre-production, production, and post-production. The pre-production stage includes story development, script writing, chibi-style character design, storyboard creation, and visual setting determination. The production stage involves digitizing assets using graphic design software, applying motion graphic and rigging techniques, and recording voice-overs. The post-production stage focuses on refining the audiovisual elements through the integration of sound effects, background music, scene transitions, and the rendering process. This study employs a descriptive method with a qualitative approach to systematically present each production stage, supplemented by interviews with design practitioners to obtain feedback on the final product. The results indicate that “Breaking Barriers” not only possesses strong visual appeal but also functions as an educational medium capable of effectively conveying moral messages to audiences from diverse backgrounds.
