Abstract

This paper discusses the effect of applying the Student Team Achievement Division (STAD) cooperative learning model on student learning outcomes on the theme The Area Where I Live in Grade IV at SD Assisi Medan during the 2022/2023 academic year. The study employs a quantitative research approach. The research population consists of 180 fourth-grade students at SD Assisi Medan, while the sampling technique used is simple random sampling, resulting in a sample of 44 fourth-grade students. The findings indicate that students’ learning outcomes through the application of the Student Team Achievement Division (STAD) cooperative learning model fall into the very good category, with an average score of 83.48. The correlation test yields a value of 0.958, indicating that rcount (0.958) ≥ rtable (0.297), thus confirming that Ha is accepted. This demonstrates a significant effect of the Student Team Achievement Division (STAD) cooperative learning model on students’ learning outcomes. Furthermore, the t-test results show that tcount = 21.720 ≥ ttable = 2.015, which further supports the acceptance of Ha. These results indicate a significant positive effect of the Student Team Achievement Division (STAD) cooperative learning model on students’ learning outcomes on the theme The Area Where I Live in Grade IV at SD Assisi Medan during the 2022/2023 academic year.

Abstract

This paper investigates the implementation of character education in learning quality through school culture in Pangkalan Kerinci. It is common that more attention should be paid to the moral character of our youth. Such pleas are prevalent in the mass media and in professional forums and are usually justified by data reflecting juvenile delinquency. The research uses a qualitative descriptive approach by involving various stakeholders as participants, including teachers, students, and school administrators. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and document analysis by focusing on the role of school culture in building character education. The research results indicate that the school culture in Pangkalan Kerinci plays an essential role in building character education and learning quality. The findings reveal that schools in the region implemented values-based pedagogical strategies and extracurricular activities, which encouraged positive student behavior and academic achievement. In addition, the collaboration between school staff and parents is proven essential in reinforcing students' character development. The study highlights the importance of a supportive school culture, which supports and nurtures character education and improves learning outcomes.

Abstract

The development of digital technology has encouraged health professionals to effectively deliver health information through social media. However, many health education contents are still presented in rigid, technical, and less communicative language, making them difficult for the general public to understand. This community service activity aims to improve the skills of community health center (Puskesmas) personnel in writing health education content using simple, clear, and engaging Indonesian language. The implementation methods included practice-based training, mentoring in content creation, and publication on the official social media platforms of the Puskesmas. The results of the activity show an increase in participants’ ability to compose more communicative, reader-friendly, and linguistically appropriate health messages. Through this training, it is expected that Puskesmas can optimize the dissemination of accurate and easily understood health information, thereby raising public awareness of the importance of healthy living behavior. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the carrying capacity of the aquatic environment and the factors that affect the development of Floating Net Cage (KJA) cultivation in Apal Village, Liang District, Banggai Islands Regency. The approach used is quantitative with a field survey method, including the measurement of physical, chemical, and biological parameters of the waters as well as social, economic, legal, and institutional analysis of coastal communities. Physico-chemical data were analyzed descriptive-comparatively based on the Decree of the Director General of PRL No. 55 of 2023, while socio-economic factors were analyzed using multiple linear regression with the help of SPSS 26 software. The results of the study show that the condition of land suitability varies between stations; temperature and general current are still appropriate, but salinity and nitrates exceed thresholds; Ammonia is in the highly appropriate category (S1), while phosphate is high at some points (N). Plankton diversity is moderate (H' 2,232–2,980), indicating fairly good ecosystem stability. Socially, economically, and institutionally, social and economic factors have a positive effect on the carrying capacity of the environment although it is not significant, while institutions have a negative effect due to weak coordination and supervision. In conclusion, the waters of Apal Village still have the potential for sustainable KJA development, but mitigation of high salinity, nutrient load control, and institutional strengthening are needed so that the carrying capacity of the environment is maintained.
