Abstract

This study aims to analyze leadership development strategies among students in Islamic boarding schools (pesantren) and to conceptualize these strategies into an integrated model. This study uses a qualitative, single-case design. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with fifteen purposively selected informants, participant observation, and analysis of organizational documentation and activity reports. Data analysis was conducted through data condensation, data presentation, and conclusion drawing and verification. The results show that student leadership development is carried out through a four-level cyclical strategy: basic learning through daily routines and role models; active involvement in internal student organizations; delegation of roles to represent the pesantren in external forums; and devolution of authority to senior students for managing strategic affairs. The main finding of this study is the conceptualization of these strategies within the “Experiential Leadership Ecosystem” model, which maps the process of student leadership development into four hierarchical, iterative levels of authority. This model integrates modern leadership theory with typical Islamic boarding school leadership practices. The research indicates that effective leadership development requires authentic participatory structures, integrating leadership learning into daily activities, and strengthening a culture of trust and mentoring among caregivers, teachers, and students.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of AI-Based Leadership on learning effectiveness moderated by Workplace Spirituality within Islamic educational institutions. The research background is grounded in the rapid advancement of artificial intelligence technology, which significantly transforms leadership patterns and instructional processes in modern educational settings. A quantitative approach with an explanatory research design was employed to examine causal relationships among the study variables. Primary data were collected through a closed questionnaire utilizing a five-point Likert scale, distributed to fifty-one educators at the Al-Hayatul Islamiyah Foundation in Malang, Indonesia, using purposive sampling technique. Data analysis was conducted using Moderated Regression Analysis (MRA) to test the proposed hypotheses. The findings reveal that AI-Based Leadership exerts a positive and statistically significant influence on learning effectiveness. Workplace Spirituality also demonstrates a direct positive effect and significantly moderates the relationship between AI-Based Leadership and learning effectiveness. These results underscore the strategic importance of integrating technology-driven leadership with spiritual values to foster an effective and meaningful learning environment. This study contributes to the development of integrative educational leadership models and recommends that educational institutions optimize artificial intelligence applications while preserving workplace spirituality to achieve sustainable and comprehensive improvements in learning quality for all stakeholders.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of learning creativity on students’ work productivity and examine the moderating role of self-efficacy. The research background highlights increasing demands in both academic and professional environments, which require students to possess not only creativity but also strong self-belief to maintain optimal performance while balancing study and work responsibilities. The study employed a survey method with purposive sampling, involving 100 student workers from various universities. Data were analyzed using Partial Least Square–Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) via SmartPLS 4. The findings reveal that self-efficacy has a significant and strong effect on students’ work productivity. In contrast, learning creativity shows no significant effect on work productivity, and self-efficacy does not moderate the relationship between learning creativity and work productivity. These results indicate that self-belief plays a more dominant role than creativity in enhancing students’ productivity. The study provides practical implications for higher education institutions to strengthen students’ self-efficacy development to support both academic and non-academic performance.

Abstract

The transformation of higher education in the era of the Industrial Revolution 4.0 and Society 5.0 requires institutions to integrate technology and build adaptive learning ecosystems. One of the technologies that is increasingly used is Artificial Intelligence (AI), which is able to personalize the learning experience and increase learning effectiveness. On the other hand, the application of the concept of learning organization is believed to strengthen collaboration, creativity, and adaptability in the academic environment. This study aims to analyze the influence of the use of AI and learning organization on student learning innovation, both partially and simultaneously. The research method used is a quantitative approach with survey techniques. The research sample consisted of 118 active students in semesters 4–8 who had used an AI-based learning platform for at least one semester. The research instrument was a Likert scale closed questionnaire, which was analyzed using multiple linear regression with the help of SPSS 26. The results of the study show that (1) the use of AI has a positive and significant effect on student learning innovation; (2) learning organization has also been proven to have a significant influence on learning innovation; and (3) the simultaneous use of AI and learning organization has a significant influence on student learning innovation. However, the R Square value of 0.112 indicates that there are still other factors outside of this study that also affect learning innovation.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of Artificial Intelligence (AI) utilization and learning innovation on students’ learning creativity. Employing a quantitative associative approach, the research involved 100 university students as the sample. Data were collected using a Likert-scale questionnaire and analyzed through multiple regression after passing validity, reliability, and classical assumption tests. The findings indicate that AI utilization and learning innovation have a significant effect on learning creativity, as reflected by a correlation coefficient of 0.844 and a significance value of 0.000. The results demonstrate that AI contributes to enhancing students’ ability to explore information, generate new ideas, and understand learning materials through adaptive recommendations and feedback. Learning innovation also plays an essential role in creating interactive, flexible, and creativity-stimulating learning environments. The combination of AI utilization and innovative learning strategies provides a richer learning experience and effectively enhances students’ creativity. Learning Innovation, Student Creativity

Abstract

This study investigates the influence of strategic management and learning creativity on learning innovation, while evaluating the moderating role of self-efficacy within Islamic higher education institutions. Employing a quantitative survey method involving 166 students and analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM), the results demonstrate that strategic management, learning creativity, and self-efficacy significantly affect learning innovation directly. However, the analysis reveals that self-efficacy does not strengthen the relationship between learning creativity and learning innovation. Conversely, self-efficacy acts as a negative moderator in the relationship between strategic management and innovation. These findings suggest that learning innovation is predominantly driven by institutional strategies, creative competencies, and self-confidence as direct predictors. Furthermore, the negative moderation implies a substitution effect, where high self-efficacy may diminish the reliance on strategic management frameworks to drive innovation.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of using quartet cards in improving the mufrodat (Arabic vocabulary) skills of fourth-grade students at Madrasah Ibtidaiyyah Al Hanif in Palu City. The method used was a quasi-experimental design with a pretest-posttest control group. The research subjects were 40 students divided into two groups: an experimental group using quartet cards and a control group using conventional methods. Data collection was conducted through vocabulary tests before and after the intervention. The results showed a significant improvement in vocabulary mastery in the experimental group compared to the control group. The average post-test scores of the experimental group were statistically higher, proving that quartet cards are effective as a learning aid for Arabic vocabulary. This study suggests that Arabic language teachers at the elementary level should maximize the use of interactive media such as quartet cards in the learning process

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of the Arabic language environment (bi’ah lughawiyyah) in building the self-confidence of female students at Daarul Ukhuwwah Islamic Boarding School, Malang. This research employs a qualitative approach with a descriptive method, as it seeks to provide an in-depth description of how the Arabic language environment is implemented in a modern Islamic boarding school. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis techniques included data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that the implementation of bi’ah lughawiyyah is carried out systematically through mandatory language policies, daily communication habituation, and structured programs such as muhadatsah, muhadharah, and other language activities integrated into the daily life of the boarding school. This language environment functions not only as a means of improving linguistic competence but also as a medium for developing affective aspects, particularly students’ self-confidence. This is evidenced by increased speaking courage, the ability to express ideas, and a reduction in language anxiety. However, the effectiveness of the language environment is influenced by internal factors such as students’ linguistic backgrounds and psychological conditions, as well as external factors such as institutional support and peer social dynamics. Therefore, the success of bi’ah lughawiyyah is determined not only by the intensity of language use but also by the quality of a supportive and adaptive environment in managing students’ psychological aspects. Keywords: Bi’ah Lughawiyyah, self-confidence, Arabic language, Islamic boarding school.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of digital literacy and religious guidance on students' employability skills with learning engagement as a mediating variable. The study uses a quantitative approach with an explanatory research design. The research sample consisted of 52 active students in at least their third semester, selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected using a five-point Likert scale questionnaire and analyzed using Partial Least Squares-based Structural Equation Modeling (SEM-PLS) with the help of SmartPLS software. The results of the analysis show that all research instruments meet the criteria for validity and reliability. Digital literacy has a positive and significant effect on students' learning engagement and employability skills, while religious guidance has a positive and significant effect on learning engagement, but does not have a significant direct effect on employability skills. In addition, learning engagement has a positive and significant effect on students' employability skills. The mediation test shows that learning engagement does not significantly mediate the effect of digital literacy on employability skills, but shows a tendency to be a partial mediator in the relationship between religious guidance and employability skills.
