Abstract

The current era of digitalisation has brought about changes in public communication within government institutions. This is also the case at the West Java Provincial Teacher and Education Personnel Centre (BBGTK Jabar), which is the technical implementation centre of the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education (Kemendikdasmen) tasked with providing training and competency development for teachers and education personnel in the province of West Java. Public communication plays a role in every activity carried out by this institution. This study aims to analyse the positive and effective influence of endogenous variables, namely brand image and brand awareness, on exogenous variables, namely the performance of BBGTK Jabar, through social media engagement as a mediating variable. The type of research used is descriptive and verificative with an explanatory survey research method. The data used are primary and secondary data, where the primary data collection technique is through surveys, while secondary data are obtained through literature studies, journals, articles, and websites. The research population was determined using the Slovin formula with a margin of error of 10%, resulting in 100 respondents consisting of teachers and educational staff who are active users of BBGTK Jabar social media. The research instrument was measured using a 5-point Likert scale, and data analysis was performed using Structural Equation Modelling (SEM). The results of the analysis show that brand image and brand awareness have a direct positive and effective influence on BBGTK Jabar performance through social media engagement as a mediating variable.

Abstract

Giri Emas Regional Hospital Laboratory has been applying local government retribution tariffs since 2023. With improvements in operational services and quality, along with the hospital's change in status, there is an increasing need for the implementation of competitive and strategic tariffs. Objective to identify the unit costs of routine laboratory tests using the Activity-Based Costing (ABC) method and compare them with the local government retribution tariffs in Buleleng Regency. Method: The research was conducted using a descriptive quantitative approach from secondary data on laboratory and management records on direct and indirect costs at Giri Emas Regional Hospital from November 1, 2023, to December 31, 2024. The unit cost calculations reveal that certain laboratory tests have significantly higher costs, such as direct bilirubin (IDR 177,951), triglycerides (IDR 174,955), and total bilirubin (IDR 162,541). In contrast, tests like HCG (IDR 38,972) and Widal (IDR 43,020) have the lowest unit costs. Statistically, the median unit cost at Giri Emas Regional Hospital  is higher than the local government retribution tariffs (median = 69,186 vs 44,000; U = 47, p < 0.01). Giri Emas Regional Hospital should conduct further evaluation of the differences between its unit costs and the retribution tariffs.

Abstract

This study analyzes the influence of workload, job stress, and compensation on turnover intention among hospital staff in Bandung. Utilizing a quantitative verificative design, data were collected from 103 employees and analyzed via Multiple Linear Regression using SPSS. The research aimed to quantify how these organizational factors collectively and individually drive the propensity of human capital to depart, which is critical in the competitive healthcare sector where replacement costs and knowledge loss are substantial. Descriptive findings reveal that while workload, stress, and compensation levels are currently moderate, the resulting turnover intention remains low. However, inferential analysis confirms a significant impact from all variables. Job stress is the most dominant predictor, uniquely accounting for 31.7% of the variance, followed by compensation (15.8%) and workload (9.2%). Collectively, these three factors explain 56.7% of the total fluctuations in turnover intention ($R^2 = 0.567$). The results demonstrate that workload and stress significantly increase the likelihood of exit, while higher compensation levels effectively mitigate it. These findings suggest that turnover intent is a latent risk highly sensitive to psychological and financial drivers. Management must prioritize proactive retention strategies, specifically targeting stress reduction through clearer job descriptions and improved work environments. Furthermore, maintaining competitive remuneration and equitable workload distribution is essential to prevent moderate dissatisfaction from escalating into actual attrition. By addressing these core determinants, healthcare institutions can stabilize their workforce, preserve institutional knowledge, and ensure the continuity of high-quality patient care.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of workload, employee compensation, and employee competence on employee performance at the District Court of Simpang Tiga Redelong and the Syar’iyah Court of Simpang Tiga Redelong, Bener Meriah Regency, Aceh Province. The number of research samples was determined using the Slovin formula, resulting in 53 respondents from the total population of employees. The research method applied a quantitative approach with multiple regression analysis conducted through SPSS version 16.0. Descriptive analysis revealed that the workload variable was categorized as low, while employee compensation, employee competence, and employee performance were categorized as good. The simultaneous test (F-test) produced an F-value = 9.546 with a significance level of 0.000 < 0.05, indicating that workload, employee compensation, and employee competence collectively have a significant effect on employee performance. However, the partial test (t-test) showed varying contributions of each variable. The workload variable (BK) obtained a t-value of -0.953 with sig. 0.345 (> 0.05), meaning it had no significant effect on performance. The employee compensation variable (KSP) had a positive and significant effect with a t-value of 2.436 and sig. 0.019 (< 0.05). Meanwhile, the employee competence variable (KMP) showed a positive but not significant effect with a t-value of 1.679 and sig. 0.100 (> 0.05). Based on these findings, it is suggested that institutions should pay greater attention to balanced workload distribution, strengthen a fair and performance-oriented compensation system, and continuously foster employee competence development to enhance the long-term performance of judicial institutions.

Abstract

Service quality is a critical factor influencing patient satisfaction in the use of telemedicine services. This study aims to analyze service quality, patient satisfaction level, and the relationship between service quality and patient satisfaction with telemedicine services. A quantitative research method with a cross-sectional design was employed. The sample consisted of 74 respondents selected using probability sampling with a cluster sampling technique. Data were collected using a questionnaire based on the SERVQUAL dimensions utilizing a 1–4 Likert scale. Data analysis was performed using the Pearson product-moment correlation test after meeting the normality and linearity assumptions. The results show that the quality of telemedicine services is in the very good category, with a percentage of 95.9%, while the level of patient satisfaction is also very high at 98.6%. Pearson correlation results indicate a positive and significant relationship between service quality and patient satisfaction (r = 0.773, p < 0,001). All SERVQUAL dimensions have a significant relationship with patient satisfaction, showing the strongest correlation among the dimensions. In conclusion, the study demonstrates that the higher the quality of telemedicine services, the higher the level of patient satisfaction. Therefore, telemedicine providers are encouraged to continuously improve service quality to maintain optimal patient satisfaction.

This study aimed to analyze the effect of motivation, workload, and job stress on the performance of inpatient nurses at BaliMed Hospital Karangasem. The research used a quantitative approach with a descriptive-verificative design. The sample consisted of 71 nurses determined by saturated sampling. Data were collected using validated and reliable questionnaires, then analyzed with multiple linear regression. The results showed that motivation had a positive and significant effect on performance, while workload and job stress had negative and significant effects. Simultaneously, all three variables significantly affected performance with an R² value of 90.6%. The study concludes that motivation, workload, and job stress are dominant factors influencing nurse performance. It is suggested that hospital management improve motivation, balance workload, and manage stress through organizational support to maintain optimal service quality.
