Abstract

Penelitian berjudul Kesalahan Penggunaan Tanda Baca pada Teks Deskriptif siswa Kelas X MA Darul Hikmah ini termasuk penelitian kualitatif. Data yang digunakan pada penelitian ini yaitu data primer dan data sekunder. Sumber data primer yang akan diambil pada penelitian ini yaitu data yang diperoleh berdasarkan ketentuan EYD V pada penulisan teks deskriptif oleh siswa kelas X 21 MA Darul Hikmah yang berjumlah 22 teks, sedangkan data sekunder yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini berupa studi kepustakaan, jurnal, skripsi, literatur-literatur yang berkaitan dengan permasalahan, dan informasi yang diambil melalui Internet maupun dari pihak Sekolah MA Darul Hikmah. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini adalah menggunakan hasil tes menulis teks deskriptif dalam bentuk dokumen. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu tes. Hasil penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat kesalahan penggunaan tanda baca pada teks deskriptif siswa kelas X MA Darul Hikmah diperoleh kesalahan sebanyak 35 kasus kesalahan.

Abstract

On the basis of a sense of responsibility and concern for the problem of ability in language skills and the lack of interest and motivation of students in studying Arabic Malay which is integrated with the Riau Malay Culture course which is only studied once during their study period, the researcher is sensitive and motivated to conduct research on one of the one language skill associated with Arabic-Malay teaching, namely the skill of reading comprehension of Arabic-Malay discourse. The problem in this study is how the ability to read and understand Arabic-Malay discourse of students of the Islamic Religious Education Study Program at the Islamic College of Sulthan Syarif Hasyim Siak Sri Indrapura. Researchers provide limitations on the ability to read comprehension, namely the ability to determine the four aspects of reading comprehension including: main ideas, explanatory ideas, messages/mandates, and conclusions in Arabic-Malay discourse. This study aims to determine and describe the ability to read Arabic-Malay discourse comprehension in the four aspects of reading comprehension. The method used in this study is a descriptive method with a research sample of 30 students in the fifth semester of the Islamic Religious Education Study Program, Sulthan Syarif Hasyim Siak Sri Indrapura Islamic College for the 2022/2023 Academic Year. This sampling is known as a full sample or 100% of the total research population. The data collection technique used in this study was an objective test technique (multiple choice questions). Data analysis techniques by collecting test results, providing assessments according to the scoring reference, finding the percentage of each aspect of reading comprehension, and finding/calculating the average value. The results of the study concluded that the ability to read Arabic-Malay discourse varied, namely (1) the ability to determine main ideas was in the low category with an average of 25.00 (2) the ability to determine explanatory ideas was in the low category with an average of 26.67 (3) the ability to determine messages/mandates was in the low category with an average of 45.00 and (4) the ability to determine conclusions is in the low category with an average of 8.33. Overall, the ability to read and understand Arabic-Malay discourse among students of the Islamic Religious Education Study Program at the Islamic College of Sulthan Syarif Hasyim Siak Sri Indrapura is in the low category with an average of 26.25.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the fact that Riau Malay has Malay Arabic writing, so research activities are needed to determine the ability to read Malay Arabic writing, especially among students. The aim of this research is to provide readers with an understanding of the importance of having the ability to read Malay Arabic for students of the Indonesian Language and Literature Education Study Program and having the ability to read Malay Arabic writing as a form of maintaining existing culture. The type of research carried out is quantitative research, with data collection techniques, namely observation and questionnaires. The results of this research are the ability to read and understand anecdotal texts written in Malay Arabic for class 2023 A students of the Indonesian language and literature education study program at Riau University in the medium category with an average of 79.89.

Abstract

This research is aimed at digging the perception of students of the Indonesian Language and Literature Education Studies Program FKIP University of Riau towards Malay Arabic courses. The study used a qualitative descriptive approach to the population of students of the Indonesian Language and Literature Education Studies Program with a sample of 25 respondents. The results revealed significant variations in students' perceptions of Malay Arab courses at Riau University. Although most students indicate a good level of previous interaction with the material, there are differences in views on the relevance of the course. In general, students responded positively to teaching methods and considered these courses to have a positive impact on the development of communication skills and an understanding of local history and culture. Nevertheless, continuous evaluation is needed to understand and respond to the diverse needs of students. Student suggestions, such as the integration of courses in various majors and increased use of media, provide valuable insights for future course improvements. The conclusion emphasizes the importance of adaptability and responsiveness to student feedback inining the quality of learning of Malay Arab courses.

Abstract

The ability to read Malay Arabic in higher education needs to be taken into account because it is based on high level education, therefore this research aims to determine the ability to read Malay Arabic writing for students in class 2021B, Indonesian Language and Literature Education Study Program, FKIP, University of Riau, academic year 2023. To determine the ability In reading Malay Arabic writing, the author uses several methods, namely by testing the skills of reading Malay Arabic writing. The research method uses descriptive analysis, the research sample was taken from 35 students in class 2021B, semester 5 of Indonesian Language and Literature Education, FKIP, Riau University in 2023. The data collection technique was carried out by conducting a reading skills test for 2021B students. The data analysis technique is carried out by processing the data that has been obtained using a reading trial test. The data analysis technique is by collecting test results, looking for percentages for each aspect of reading speed and comprehension. The results of the research concluded that the Malay Arabic reading skills of students in the 2021B Indonesian Language and Literature Education Study Program FKIP Riau University were 26 students in the high category, 7 students in the medium category and 2 students in the low category.

Abstract

The objective of this study is to assess the efficacy of employing Quizizz as a learning tool in enhancing the engagement and academic performance of eighth-grade students in comprehending explanatory texts. This research used quasi-experimental methodologies, specifically utilising a pre-test and post-test non-equivalent control group design. The study's population consisted of all pupils in the eighth grade. This study employed purposive sampling procedures to choose a total of 44 students from grade seventh in junior high school. The results of the study showed that the use of the Quizizz platform in evaluation activities was in the very good criteria (SB) of 55.91%, and student responses to evaluation activities were in the good category (B) of 44.01%. In the learning outcomes, students showed that the experimental class pretest data got an average of 65.05 and a posttest score of 82.10. In the control class, the pretest results got an average of 62.57, and the posttest results were 76.98. This shows that the average value result of the experimental class is higher than that of the control class. In calculating the hypothesis test sig 0.032 0.05, the hypothesis (H0) was rejected and  (Ha) accepted. Based on the n-gain test results 56.7% which was included in the effective category. It can be concluded that the application of Quizizz media is effective in increasing interest and learning outcomes in evaluation activities for students.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan bentuk-bentuk pematuhan dan pelanggaran kesantunan berbahasa masyarakat Desa Mentayan. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Metode pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini melalui metode simak dengan teknik simak libat cakap. Data dan sumber data penelitian ini adalah pematuhan dan pelanggaran pada tuturan masyarakat Desa Mentayan. Berdasarkan penelitian, ditemukan 93 data tuturan pematuhan kesantunan berbahasa yang terdiri dari 22 tuturan maksim kedermawanan, 23 tuturan maksim kebijaksanaan, 9 tuturan maksim pujian, 2 tuturan maksim kerendahan hati, 31 tuturan maksim kesepakatan, 6 tuturan maksim kesimpatian dan terdapat 8 data tuturan pelanggaran kesantunan berbahasa yang terdiri dari 3 tuturan maksim kedermawanan, 1 tuturan maksim pujian, 1 tuturan maksim kerendahan hati, 3 tuturan maksim kesepakatan.

Abstract

Lack of teacher experience in making teaching materials based on local wisdom is one of the problems that arises at SDN 004 Pulau, SDN 009 Pulau, SDN 001 Pulau, SDN 005 Pulau, SDN 003 Muara Uwai, SDN 019 Muara Uwai, this is due to the teachers who teach in This school is a new graduate from the PGSD study program at Pahlawan University. Although in theory the teachers at the elementary school do not master educational science. In the learning process, teachers are less careful in making teaching materials based on local wisdom and still lack understanding about the proper and correct preparation of teaching materials, so there is a need for students' physical creativity which has not been facilitated by teachers. A solution must be immediately sought to find a solution for teachers to make teaching materials physically and mentally balanced. Increasing teachers' abilities through training is very important, but the SDNs mentioned above are still having problems in bringing in education experts to provide training. Based on these conditions, to be able to improve teachers' professional abilities in making teaching materials for elementary school teachers in elementary schools through training so that teachers gain direct experience in using good and correct teaching materials so that effective learning occurs.

Abstract

This research is more focused on the ability to read words in Arabic-Malay script which is now a lack of attention and ability of students in learning Arabic-Malay which is only carried out once in today's lecture subjects, so the authors are motivated to research this Arabic-Malay reading ability. The problem in this research is about how the ability to read and how far the skills in Arabic-Malay are in class C class C students of the English Language Education Study Program, FKIP, University of Riau. The method used by the researchers in this research is a quantitative method that is descriptive in nature with a research sample of 39 students from class C of 2021, who are now taking semester III of the 2022/2023 Academic year. The purpose of this study is to describe the ability to read Arabic-Malay class 2021 class C English Language Education Study Program, FKIP University of Riau. In this study, researchers used data collection techniques, namely the test technique through the G-form which was distributed to students. The data analysis technique used by researchers in this study is to collect test results, provide an assessment in the form of a score, look for the percentage of results in reading achievement, and calculate the average score.

Abstract

The purpose of this development research is to produce written Arabic-Malay teaching materials for students majoring in Indonesian Language and Literature Education with content, presentation, language and graphics that are appropriate and effective for learning. This study uses an etographic research model in which ethnographic research is a study of group culture through interviews and observations. The type of research used in this research is quantitative research, which produces numerical data in the form of percentages resulting from the ability to analyze writing in Arabic-Malay script.
