Abstract

Snails (Achatina fulica) have mucus whose main contents include beta agglutinin, Achasin protein, oacharan sulfate and glycoconjugates. Snail mucus can also treat wound infections in the digestive tract and surgical site infections (SSI), one of which is caused by Escherichia coli bacteria. This research utilizes the antibacterial content in snail mucus to inhibit Escherichia coli bacterial colonies and determine the total protein levels in snail mucus. The antibacterial activity test used the disk diffusion method and analysis of total protein levels in snail mucus was analyzed using the biuret method with a UV-Vis spectrophotometer and albumin as a standard solution. The research results were entered in tabular data and analyzed descriptively. The results of quantitative tests on the antibacterial activity of snail mucus showed that there was antibacterial activity of snail mucus against Gram negative Escherichia coli bacteria with concentrations of 100%, 50% and 25% having clear zones of 14, 11.88 and 8.66 mm respectively. The results of calculating the total protein content using the UV-Vis Spectrophotometer method were 11%. This test produced a high total protein content

Abstract

This study investigates the management practices in Quranic education centers (TPQs), focusing on three key domains: education personnel management, facilities and infrastructure, and public relations. Using a qualitative approach, data were collected through interviews, observations, and document analysis in selected TPQs. The findings reveal significant challenges in recruiting and retaining qualified educators, disparities in facilities due to varying levels of community support, and a lack of structured public relations strategies. However, centers with strong community engagement demonstrated better outcomes in all three domains. The study highlights the interconnectedness of these management areas, where improvements in one domain positively impact others. An integrated management framework is proposed to address these challenges, emphasizing the alignment of personnel management, infrastructure development, and public relations. This framework offers practical implications for policymakers and practitioners to enhance the quality and sustainability of TPQs. Future research is recommended to explore the applicability of this framework in diverse cultural and regional contexts.

Abstract

Education is a recognized Constitutional Right in Indonesia. In recent times, digitization of education has emerged as a transformative force, revolutionizing the way knowledge is disseminated and acquired. However, implementing universal digitization of education in Indonesia requires a multifaceted approach, centred on a legal rights regime, founded on Constitutional equality of access and mediated through technological intervention. This legal article, based on secondary sources, elaborates on the prerequisites of Constitutional Rights and Constitutionalism from a legal rights-based perspective for successful digitization, highlighting the importance of infrastructure, inclusivity, and pedagogic considerations in the digitization of Education. Acknowledging the imperative of digitization of education in Indonesia, it identifies the legal gaps in the regulation of technology-mediated education, addresses issues of legality and equity in implementing online education, and suggests legal measures for ensuring standards and acceptance of online education in Indonesia. The article posits that digital online education needs to be legally regulated to ensure standards of education and equity of access in consonance with Indonesian Constitutional principles and legal recognition of Education as an inalienable Constitutional Right.

Abstract

A hammer mill is a machine that grinds both grains and stones into fine particles called flour. The working principle of the hammer mill is that the impact process is carried out by dynamic blades repeatedly so that it breaks into small particles. The hammer mill consists of dynamic blades mounted on a rotating shaft under which there is a screen that controls the maximum particle size to exit the grinding chamber from within the hummer mill. In the process of making a hummer mill machine there are several problem formulations. One of these problems is the hummer mill machine manufacturing process and the influence of rotation variations on the hummer mill machine. so in this case the author tries to make a machine to achieve this problem, where the hummer mill machine can maximize efficiency in order to achieve more effectiveness. The advantages of this machine, besides being able to grind animal feed, can also grind rocks in the form of fine grains using a 3 mm or 5 mm sieve, which means more efficient 2 uses are needed. while the cost of making this machine does not have to be expensive but affordable, this hummer mill machine can produce a production capacity of 200 kg/hour.

Abstract

Osteoporosis is a systemic bone disease characterized by a decrease in bone density and deterioration of bone microarchitecture so that bones become brittle and break easily. Osteoporosis due to long-term use of glucocorticoids causes osteoporosis. There is a lot of clinical evidence about the role of phytoestrogens in the treatment of osteoporosis. Kenitu (Chrysophyllum cainito) contains isoflavone phytoestrogen compounds. The aim of this research was to determine the anti-osteoporosis effect of ethanol extract of kenitu leaves (Chrysophyllum cainito L.), by looking at the increase in bone density as well as the number of osteoblast cells and the number of osteoclast cells in the femur trabecular bone of female mice induced by dexamethasone. In this study, 49 female mice were grouped into 7 groups, namely normal control, negative control, positive control with cabone naturindo, and groups treated using 70% ethanol extract of kenitu leaves with varying doses of 100 mg/kg BW, 200 mg/kg BW, 400 mg/kg BW and 800 mg/kg BW. An increase in femur trabecular bone density, the number of osteoblast cells and the number of osteoclast cells were observed using the Histomorphometry method. The results showed that the ethanol extract of kenitu leaves has anti-osteoporosis activity. The ethanol extract of kenitu leaves has a dose of 400 mg/kg BW which is the optimal dose as anti-osteoporosis which is indicated by an increase in bone density, an increase in the number of osteoblast cells and a decrease in the number of osteoclast cells.
