Abstract

The aim of this study is to know the understanding ability of exercises of higher order thinking skill-based anecdote text in 10th grade students of senior high school 1 Tanjung Tiram. This study was conducted in the odd semester of the 2018/2019 academic year which was planned starting from the collection of knowledge data to the writing as a whole. The subjects of this study were 10th grade students of Senior High School 1 Tanjung Tiram as many as 30 students. The object carried out in this study is a guide to higher order thinking skill (HOTS)-based knowledge instruments. The result shows that the understanding ability of exercises of higher order thinking skill-based anecdote text the students get an average score of 60.56% in the "sufficient" category. Thus, it can be stated that a high level of knowledge instrument on students of senior high school 1 Tanjung Tiram with sufficient quality.

Abstract

This study is aimed to describe the development of instrument of reading literacy assessment on Indonesian language learning in Quality Medan University. The assessment instrument which is developed in the form of a guidebook of reading literacy on the PISA reference which is used as a handbook for lecturers in the field of learning studies reading texts. The population of this study is the first semester students of the Medan Quality Private University. The authors took a sample of 30 students. The result shows that the development of reading literacy assessment instrument on the PISA reference, is a direct assessment because students immediately show evidence of mastery of competencies when the assessment is conducted. The use of reading literacy assessment increases the results of high-level understanding of students, this is indicated by the results of student scores after using the reading literacy assessment on the PISA reference was 2283 compared to the results before 1364.

Abstract

This study aims to know the feasibility of archipelago children literature teaching materials on text-based of class V SDN 067091 Medan Kota sub-district, Indonesia. The type of this study is research and development which is the development of archipelago children literature teaching materials on text-based that deserve to support literature learning in elementary school. The product of archipelago children literature teaching materials is developed to support literary learning in elementary schools have met the requirements and are feasible to use based on the validation of material experts and design. The response to archipelago children literature teaching materials on text-based in literary material is very good and in accordance with the needs of students. It concludes that the use of archipelago children literature teaching materials on text-based is more effective in improving student learning outcomes. This was revealed from the student learning outcomes after being taught with developed teaching materials, namely an increase in learning outcomes from the average 78.98 with a good category to 86.11 with a very good category.

Abstract

This study aims to: (1) Know the differences in reading skills of students taught with Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition learning models compared to students taught with conventional learning models; (2) Knowing the difference in reading skills of students who have high learning motivation compared to students who have low learning motivation; (3) Knowing the interaction between learning models and learning motivation in influencing students' reading skills. The population in this study was the fifth grade students of Public Elementary School 101883 Tanjung Morawa Subdistrict, Deliserdang Regency, amounting to 54 people. The data collection in this study was through a questionnaire and a test of students' reading skills. Hypothesis testing is done by the Two Way Anova test. The results showed that: (1) The reading skills of students taught with Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition learning models were higher than those of students who were taught with conventional learning models (Fcount = 21,164 and sig. 0,000> 0.05); (2) The reading skills of students who have high learning motivation are higher than the reading skills of students who have low learning motivation (Fcount = 6.756 and sig. 0.012> 0.05); (3) There is an interaction between learning models and learning motivation in influencing students' reading skills (Fcount = 7.054 and sig. 0.011> 0.05).

Abstract

One product of technology that can be used to develop teaching materials for the learning process is interactive multimedia which is a combination of various media in the form of text, graphics, audio, and interactions that are used to convey information messages from sender to receiver equipped with a controller which can be operated by the user. Efforts can be made to make learning effective one of which is the use of multimedia in interactive learning. Tritech Vocational School which will be the target of research is Information Technology Vocational High School. This school has implemented a learning system that utilizes technology as a medium and aids in learning activities, but not all subject teachers apply the same thing. Indonesian language learning in particular still uses teaching books as a guide and the only source of learning. This is one of the causes of learning activities in Indonesian language subjects tend to be monotonous and boring, because learning activities are still teacher-centered, so there is no interaction with students. This method of research is development research (Research and Development) which is a study used to produce certain products and test the effectiveness of these products. This research develops Indonesian language teaching materials in interactive multimedia-based negotiating text material for grade 10th in Tritech Informatika vocational Highschool, Medan, North Sumatera, Indoneisa.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh permasalahan yang muncul di lapangan mengenai kurangnya minat dan kepercayaan diri siswa dalam mengajukan pertanyaan. Sehingga pertanyaan-pertanyaan yang diajukan masih tergolong rendah. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu, untuk mengetahui jenis-jenis keterampilan bertanya siswa berdasarkan Taksonomi Bloom Revisi pada materi teks ulasan, teks persuasi dan teks drama. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa: (1) jenis keterampilan bertanya siswa berdasarkan Taksonomi Bloom Revisi pada materi teks ulasan masih tergolong kurang pada level kognitif rendah dengan jumlah 12 pertanyaan dengan persentase C1 dan C5 16.6%, C2 25%, C3 8.3% dan C4 sebesar 33.3%. (2) pada materi teks persuasi masih tergolong rendah pada level kognitif C2 dan C4 memdapatkan persentase sebesar 36.3% dan begitu juga dengan C3 memdapatkan 27.2% dengan jumlah pertanyaan keseluruhan 11 pertanyaan. (3) dan pada materi teks drama sudah tergolong tinggi yaitu pada level C2 (77.7%) sedangkan C4 dan C5 masih tergolong kurang dengan persentase 11.11%. Maka dari hasil penelitian dapat dikatakan jenis keterampilan bertanya siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 6 Torgamba TP 2020/2021 dapat dikatakan masih rendah.Kata Kunci: Keterampilan bertanya siswa, Taksonomi Bloom

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kelancaran, kejelasan, kesesuaianisi, dan ketepatan waktu anak tunagrahita mampu didik tingkat ringan kelasIX di SLB C Santa Lusia Medan dalam menceritakan kembali peristiwa yangterdapat pada cerita yang didengarnya. Populasi penelitian ini berjumlah 17siswa tunagrahita kelas IX. Sampel diambil secara sampling bertujuan(purposive sampling) yaitu 2 orang siswa tunagrahita mampu didik tingkatringan. Metode dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif. Instrumen yangdigunakan adalah dokumentasi, kemudian untuk mengetahui hasilkemampuan bercerita anak tunagrhaita tersebut digunakan alat daftar cocokatau ceklis berupa indikator penilaian kemampuan bercerita khusus untukanak tunagrahita. Dari pemerolehan data diketahui bahwa jumlah nilai siswabernama Renaldi sebesar 75, sedangkan nilai Nurlina sebesar 50. Dengandemikian hasil rata-rata kemampuan bercerita siswa tunagrahita mampu didiktingkat ringan di SLB C Santa Lusia Medan adalah sebesar 62,5. Berdasarkanrentangan nilai tersebut siswa tunagrahita mampu didik tingkat ringan beradapada kategori cukup dalam kemampuan bercerita.Kata Kunci: Kemampuan, Bercerita, Tunagrahita

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kemampuan menulis teks berita siswa kelas eksperimen setelah diajarkan menggunakan model pembelajaran student facilitator and explaining diperoleh rata-rata nilai sebesar 86,13 dengan standar deviasi sebesar 9,11 dan hasil uji normalitas diperoleh nilai Lhitung < Ltabel yaitu 0,0734 < 0,1610 (normal). Sedangkan kemampuan menulis teks berita siswa kelas kontrol setelah diajarkan menggunakan model demonstration diperoleh rata-rata nilai sebesar 79,33 dengan standar deviasi sebesar 9,18 dan hasil uji normalitas diperoleh Lhitung < Ltabel yaitu 0,1050 < 0,1610 (normal). Hasil uji homogenitas data kedua kelas diperoleh nilai Fhitung < Ftabel yaitu 1,02 < 1,85 (homogen). Hasil pengujian hipotesis menggunakan uji-t, diperoleh thitung > ttabel yaitu 2,83 > 1,67 sehingga Ho ditolak atau terima Ha. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran student facilitator and explaining efektif digunakan terhadap kemampuan menulis teks berita pada siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 6 Medan tahun ajaran 2014/2015.   Kata Kunci:  Model Pembelajaran Student Facilitator and Explaining, Kemampuan Menulis Teks Berita

Abstract

Secara umum tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruhpenggunaan media film bingkai terhadap kemampuan menulis puisioleh siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Silima Pungga Pungga TahunPembelajaran 2016/2017. Metode yang digunakan adalah metodeeksperimen one-grup pre-test post-test design.Data diperoleh melaluiwawancara, observasi, dan tes (tes uraian), sedang untuk pengujiandata adalah uji normalitas, uji homogenitas, dan uji hipotesis.Penelitian ini akan mengetahui (1) kemampuan hasil belajar siswasebelum menggunakan media film bingkai terhadap kemampuanmenulis puisi oleh siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Silima PunggaPungga; (2) kemampuan hasil belajar siswa setelah menggunakanmedia film bingkai terhadap kemampuan menulis puisi oleh siswakelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Silima Pungga Pungga; (3) pengaruhpenggunaan media film bingkai terhadap kemampuan menulis puisioleh siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Silima Pungga Pungga. Rata-ratapencapaian hasil belajar siswa sebelum menggunakan media filmbingkai adalah 64,5, termasuk kategori cukup. Setelah menggunakanmedia, hasil belajar siswa menjadi 84,66, termasuk kategori baik.Kata kunci: media film bingkai, menulis puisi, hasil belajar.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan bentuk kesalahan penulisan teks beritasiswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 2 Kualuhleidong Kabupaten Labuhanbatu Utara TahunPembelajaran 2016/2017. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif.Sumber data dalam penelitian ini adalah teks berita siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 2Kualuhleidong Kabupaten Labuhanbatu Utara. Metode penelitian ini adalah metodedeskriptif kualitatif. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah peneliti sendiri (humaninstrument). Untuk menemukan kalimat yang mengandung kesalahan kalimat digunakanteknik membaca dan mencatat sedangkan analisis datanya dilakukan dengan caramengklasifikasikan data yang ditemukan lalu memilah kesalahan sesuai kebutuhanpenelitian.Hasil pembahasan menunjukkan Jumlah kesalahan kalimat yang terdapatdalam teks berita siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 2 Kualuhleidong yaitu sebanyak 151kalimat. Kesalahan tersebut meliputi : kalimat sederhana sebanyak 78 kalimat, ketepatankalimat sebanyak 46 kalimat, kejelasan kalimat sebanyak 22 kalimat, penggunaankelogisan kalimat sebanyak 5 kalimat.Frekuensi jumlah kesalahan meliputi kesalahankesederhanaan kalimat 51,7%, kesalahan kejelasan kalimat 30,5%, kesalahan ketepatankalimat 14,5% dan kesalahan kelogisan kalimat 3,3 %.Kata kunci:Kesalahan Bahasa Jurnalistik, Teks Berita dan siswa.
