Abstract

Damage to mangrove forests has reduced the size forest area and the diversity of mangrove species. Improvement of mangrove forests require seeds with good growth and resistant to pests and diseases. The shade levels and growing media is a factor that affects plant growth. The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of growing media and shade level on the growth of bakau minyak (R. apiculata). The study was conducted for 12 weeks and used a complete randomized design to analyze the data. The first factor was the growing media (A) with 3 levels of treatment, namely mudsoil (A0), mud and compost (A1), and mud, sand and compost (A2). The second factor was the shade level (N) with 3 levels treatment, namely the shade intensity 0% (N0), 50% (N1), and 70% (N2). The result of this study indicate that the shade intensity has a significant effect on the growth of Rhizophora apiculata, and the growing medium does not significantly affect the growth of Rhizophora apiculata. The best shade intensity for growth of R. apiculata is 0% (N0). Keywords: growing media, mangrove forest, rehabilitation, Rhizophora apiculata, shade level

Abstract

Litter decomposition is a process of decomposing litter which is an important component of the nutrient cycle process because it can make a major contribution to soil fertility. The purpose of this study was to measure the decomposition rate of Shorea guiso leaf litter and soil organic matter content in the decomposition process of Shorea guiso leaf litter in the Dramaga Research Forest, Bogor, West Java. Decomposition of Shorea guiso leaf litter is carried out using a liiter bag measuring 30 cm x 40 cm. Each litter-bag contained 100 g of dry weight of Shorea guiso litter. The litterbag was then tied to a bamboo stake and placed under the Shorea guiso stand. The results of this study for 12 weeks showed that the average of leaf litter decomposition rate of Shorea guiso at the 1 week of observation was 0,003 and continued to increase until the 12 week of 0,2. The average weekly rate of decomposition of Shorea guiso leaf litter was 0,075 which grew on soils with moderate BOT content (3,87%). Keywords: Dramaga research forest, litter decomposition rate, Shorea guiso

Abstract

Merawan (H. mengarawan) and Keruing Gunung (Dipterocarpus retusus) are species of the Dipterocarpaceae family that exist in Dramaga Research Forest, Bogor. Merawan and Keruing Gunung have many benefits. The IUCN categorized merawan as critically endangered species, while Keruing Gunung included into Endangered. Therefore, these tree species are need to be cultivated and preserved. The purpose of this study is to examine existence and distribution of merawan and Keruing Gunung in Dramaga Research Forest, Bogor. The research method used was a combination of transect and line plot. The data analysis used includes vegetation analysis, soil analysis, and abiotic factors. The results showed that the composition of plant species has various results, which merawan and Keruing Gunung are the dominating species in the area. The growth curve of merawan and Keruing Gunung forms an inverted “J”, indicating the good regeneration of the species. The distribution patterns of merawan and Keruing Gunung had a clump distribution pattern, with Morishita index of 3,511 for merawan and 3,076 for Keruing Gunung. Keywords : distribution pattern, Morishita index, vegetation analysis, regeneration pattern

Abstract

The women participation in economic activities are not a new phenomenon in Indonesia. The number of women workers are getting higher every year. But the nutrition and health ofwomen worker have not received the good attention, so it can lead to women worker productivity is lower than in male workers. One of the factors that affect the productivity of labor is the adequacy of nutrients, such as: energy, protein, fat, and carbohydrate, where are as macro nutrients the body needs. Inaddition to the adequacy of macro nutrients, micronutrients also play an important role in the body. One of them is iron, iron consumption is inadequate will increase the absorption of ironfrom food, mobilizing iron stores in the body, reducing the transportation of iron to the bone marrow, and a decrease in hemoglobin, resulting in anemia and ultimately can reduce theproductivity of labor of women. The research is analytic research was done at CV. Mubarok Food Cipta Delicia, thats have 25 people as women workers. All of the women workers were used as the sample in this study. Analysis of the data using One Way Anova Test. The results showed that the average energy consumption of women workers is 1747.2 kcal and fulfilling 79,5 % of the daily energy requirement. The average consumption of proteinwomen workers is 53.4 grams and fulfilling 91.5% of the daily protein requirement. While the average consumption of women worker iron are 8.9 mg and fulfilling 39.5% of the daily ironrequirement. Test results show there are no difference in labor productivity of women employe based on their level of energy consumption (p= 0,57), protein(p =0,483) and iron (p = 0,153).Key words: women worker productivity, energy consumption, protein consumption, iron consumsption.

Abstract

Mangrove rehabilitation has implications for important ecological, social and economic values for coastal communities. The mangroves ecosystem Karawang Regency is still under pressure due to the management and utilization that does not pay attention to the sustainability aspect. The rehabilitation plan to mangrove management must be adapted to the nature and characteristics of the habitat. This study aims to formulate technical considerations for the direction of a rehabilitation plan based on an ecological approach and the dynamics of the mangrove ecosystem. The methods used in this study were geospatial approach that integrated with field quanitative and qualitative data. The results show that the total of mangrove potential area in Karawang Regency was 19,139.53 ha, consisting of 421.95 ha (2.2%) of vegetated area and 18,717.58 ha (97.8%) of unvegetated area. We integrate mangrove typology, mangrove stand density, physical parameters, and land use as the basis for determining the direction of rehabilitation planning. In the estuarine deltaic mangrove typology, we aim at protecting with natural regeneration. In infringe areas, we recommend constructing natural coastal structures before planting. On the backward for intensive planting. Furthermore, mangroves with low density, medium density, and high density are recommended for planting, species enrichment, and protecting respectively, and on the pond with implementing the mixed mangrove-aquaculture system to bridge between rehabilitation effort and economic needs of coastal communities.

Abstract

AbstrakUnder the organization structure of Syariah Financial Institute, the function of Syariah Supervisory Board is to ensure that practice of Syariah Financial Institute is in line with Syariah Principles. However, the role and function of the Syariah Supervisory Council are not optimum in conducting Syariah Financial Institute’s function. There are clear indications that these are happening in the operation of Syariah Financial Institute. Actually, there is regulation on Syariah Supervisory Board, governing role, task, function and authority of Syariah Financial Institute. The purpose of the regulation is to develop the Syariah Financial Institute on the basis of syari’ah much more faster than it is today.  This can be achieved due to the supervisory function of the Syariah Supervisory Board and its role as being a catalyst  for a syariah economic development.  This article is to examine and analyze the optimum use of  the Syariah Supervisory Board’s role in the form of socialization on its existence and role to community, especially depositor. This is important to enable member of society to be an element, who can control   the Syariah Supervisory Board’s role in Syariah Financial Institutes.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to create a peak runoff model in urban SC areas based on existing land use/land cover (LU / LC) and a master plan. To calculate peak runoff (PRO) using the rational method. To find out the current LU / LC through existing SPOT-6 image analysis in 2017, using supervised classification method with an estimation of gamma distribution parameters with the maximum likelihood method using QGIS 2.8 software, SAGA GIS, and Arc -GIS 10.4.1. Based on the results of image analysis obtained twelve types of LU, which can be grouped into three types of LC, namely 33% of developed land, 65% of vegetated land (RTH), and 2% of blue open land (RTB). The analysis shows that the implementation of the master plan increases PRO. With the increase in PRO will contribute to flooding in the downstream areas, consequently the developer must be responsible for reducing the PRO.
