Abstract

The moral crisis among millennials has become a major challenge in the digital era, characterized by technological advancement, consumerism, and an instant-gratification culture. This study aims to analyze the relevance of Sufism teachings to the moral development of the millennial generation in the context of modern life. Using a qualitative library-based approach, this research explores classical works such as Ihya ‘Ulum al-Din, al-Risalah al-Qusyairiyyah, and al-Hikam, complemented by contemporary academic sources. The findings reveal that Sufism provides substantial contributions to the ethical, spiritual, and social awareness of millennials through the internalization of tazkiyatun nafs, muhasabah, zuhud, sabr, and ikhlas. These values guide individuals to cultivate self-control, sincerity, simplicity, and moral responsibility amid the dominance of social media and materialism. Conceptually, Sufism offers a spirituality-based moral education model emphasizing inner transformation as the foundation of social ethics. The study recommends integrating Sufi values into Islamic education to shape morally resilient, religious, and ethically conscious young generations

Abstract

The research aimed to test the new measures of employee empowerment in a collectively social oriented society. The study applied questionnaire-based survey to obtain data and test the relationship between employee empowerment and organisational performance. A total of 80 completed questionnaires from the senior HR personnel from 40 organisations in the Gambia took part in the survey. Ten employees were engaged in a face-to-face interview, 2 private and 8 public organisations from among the 40 organisations that participated. Both SPSS and SmartPLS were utilised to analyse data. MGA is used to determine the difference private and public organisations. The study has indicated a significant relationship between employee empowerment and organisational performance. The findings revealed a small but not significant difference between the private and public organisations in their definition of employee empowerment in the Gambia based on MGA report. The findings discovered that the social nature of employees cannot be disputed, and a strong recognition of employees promotes organisation performance. HR department and organisational flexibility relates more to employee’s empowerment and has effect on attitude and behaviour. Abstract

This research analyzes the da'wah rhetoric of K.H. Abdul Ghofur, the caretaker of Pondok Pesantren Sunan Drajat, who is known for his gentle and "dalang"-like (puppeteer-like) delivery style. Guided by QS. An-Nahl: 125 and Hadith HR. Bukhari no. 3461, da'wah is encouraged to use wisdom, good counsel, and polite debate. Rhetoric plays a crucial role in delivering clear and easily understood da'wah messages, especially in the digital era. This descriptive qualitative study employs Aristotle's rhetorical theory Invention, Dispositio, Elocutio, Memoria, and Pronuntiatio to examine K.H. Abdul Ghofur's da'wah style. Primary and secondary data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The research findings include K.H. Abdul Ghofur's biography and educational background, along with an in-depth analysis of how he applies the five elements of Aristotelian rhetoric in his da'wah. This study also identifies the supporting and inhibiting factors of his da'wah rhetoric. The theoretical and practical benefits of this study are expected to provide a comprehensive understanding of contemporary da'wah rhetoric.

Abstract

In today’s rapidly evolving technological landscape, transformation in communication, work patterns, and access to information has reshaped how educational institutions present themselves to the public. Effective use of social media and websites can strengthen madrasas' competitive position amid the rapid flow of information and rising expectations for educational quality. This study explores the utilisation of digital platforms—specifically official websites and Instagram—as promotional tools in MAN 1 and MAN 2 Banjarmasin to enhance their institutional advantage. Employing a qualitative descriptive approach, data were gathered through in-depth interviews with public relations and media administrators, complemented by content analysis of both schools’ online channels. The findings show that MAN 1 Banjarmasin is more proficient in managing its website, offering structured, informative, and consistently updated content that boosts institutional credibility. In contrast, MAN 2 Banjarmasin leverages Instagram more actively as an interactive space to engage students, parents, and the broader community through visual storytelling and social interaction. Despite these strengths, both schools encounter challenges related to limited human resources, technical skills, and insufficient institutional backing. This study underscores the need for integrated digital marketing strategies and recommends that madrasas build stronger cross-platform coordination to solidify their online identity, enhance public trust, and increase student enrollment through sustained engagement on digital media.

Abstract

This study examines the dynamics of sustainable agricultural land protection in Malang Regency, Indonesia, focusing on the institutional integration of community participation in controlling land-use conversion. Rapid urbanization has intensified pressure on agricultural zones, challenging food security and ecological sustainability. Despite the presence of national and local legal frameworks such as Law No. 41/2009 and Regional Regulation No. 6/2015, the implementation of land protection remains weak due to limited inter-agency coordination, regulatory fragmentation, and marginal public involvement. This research employed a qualitative approach using literature review, semi-structured interviews, focus group discussions, and NVivo-assisted thematic coding to analyze institutional practices and community perceptions. Findings reveal that community participation is largely informal and reactive, lacking formalized channels in spatial planning processes. The absence of inclusive governance mechanisms has reduced regulatory legitimacy and effectiveness. A proposed hierarchical model advocates for legislative reform, institutionalized participatory procedures, and targeted capacity-building as integrated strategies to strengthen land governance. The study concludes that participatory approaches embedded within legal and institutional systems enhance policy effectiveness and provide a viable framework for replicating sustainable land-use governance in regions facing similar socio-political constraints.
