Abstract

This research aims to develop math game media suitable for children aged 5-6 years and to see their learning interest in math material. This research is a qualitative research with the ADDIE model development method. This research will only be conducted up to the product trial stage (limited trial) in the PAUD unit where the research is conducted, so the results obtained are still in the form of a prototype model. Based on the validation results from two material experts, the overall percentage of material feasibility in the game media is 89.84% with a very feasible category to use. While the results of validation from media experts, the overall percentage of media feasibility in game media is 93.18% so that the game media developed is very feasible to use. After the game media developed was deemed suitable for use, researchers began conducting limited trials with two classes of fifteen children each from group B at KB Mutiara Serat Bangsa. The total percentage of children's learning interest in class B1 obtained was 80.21% with a very interesting category and 75.42% in class B2 with an interesting category. So it can be concluded that the use of math game media developed in the limited trial stage is able to attract children's learning interest in math material. Digital games succeeded in increasing children's interest and enthusiasm in learning while helping them understand the subject matter better. Incorporating interactive games into early childhood education is a great way to create a learning environment that stimulates and encourages children's overall development.

Abstract

This research is motivated by issues in teaching the memorization of short Hadith at TK Yapis III Wosi Manokwari, where students' ability to memorize short Hadiths is still very low and has never reached the individual or class completion targets. This research is based on the notion that the ability to memorize Hadiths in early childhood is influenced by various factors, one of which is the method used. The objective of this research is to enhance the memorization skills of short Hadiths in early childhood through the implementation of the Hand Movement Method. The hypothesis posited is that the application of the Hand Movement Method is expected to improve the ability to memorize Hadiths in early childhood, and that female students perform better in memorizing Hadiths compared to male students. This research employs the Classroom Action Research method using the Kemmis & McTaggart model. The research subjects are 30 students aged 5-6 years in TK Yapis III Wosi Manokwari, consisting of 11 males and 19 females. Data collection techniques include performance assessment sheets, observation, documentation, and interviews. Data analysis is conducted through data reduction using both quantitative and qualitative approaches. The observation results indicate an increase in student engagement in the Hadith learning process after the implementation of the treatment. The research results show that by the end of Cycle II, the indicator of classical completion has been achieved, which is 83.33%, thus allowing the research to be concluded. The ability of female students to reach individual completion in memorizing Hadiths is better than that of male students when using the hand movement method. In conclusion, the research findings demonstrate that the application of the hand movement method in Hadith learning effectively enhances the ability to memorize Hadiths in 5-6-year-old children at TK Yapis III Wosi Manokwari. This research can serve as a reference for early childhood education institutions in developing creative and effective teaching methods.

Abstract

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the difference in emotional intelligence and Islamic religious education learning outcomes of full-day and boarding school seventh-grade students at Diponegoro Junior High School, Depok, Yogyakarta, in the 2022/2023 academic year. A quantitative approach with ex post facto design (causal-comparative) was employed. The population was all seventh-grade students, namely 180 students. 32 full-day and 32 boarding school students were selected as samples using a purposive sampling technique for their low Islamic Religious Education learning outcomes. Data were collected through the distribution of questionnaires and the administration of tests. These data were then analyzed using hypothesis testing with independent sample t-tests and Mann-Whitney tests. The results showed that first, there is a difference in the emotional intelligence of full-day and boarding school students, as evidenced by the p-value of 0.036 <00.5, which is shown from the average value of emotional intelligence of full-day school students of 77.469 while boarding school students of 81.938. Second, there is a difference in Islamic religious education learning outcomes of full-day and boarding school students, as evidenced by the p-value of 0.001 <0.05, which is indicated by the average value of Islamic religious education learning outcomes of full-day school students of 77.813, while boarding school students of 90.000. This study contributes to developing a scientific theory about the difference in emotional intelligence and learning outcomes of full-day and boarding school students. Particularly for low-achiever students, a boarding school environment with good management and learning quality might better influence their emotional intelligence and learning outcomes.

Abstract

The Asahan Regency is home to numerous ethnic and religious groups. This treasure of religious diversity continues to be a source of discord among the populace. Using a communication model based on Islamic education, the Forum for Religious Harmony (FKUB) in Asahan Regency aims to maintain harmony among individuals. This study seeks to examine the religious communication model of FKUB Asahan District, its results in fostering inter-religious harmony among the people of Asahan District, and its impact on fostering inter-religious harmony in Asahan District. According to the findings of the study, the communication model of the Asahan Regency Religious Harmony Forum can be categorized into two situations: the normal situation, which involves socializing and approaching community leaders, religious leaders, and local government officials, and the conflict situation, which involves mediating between conflicting parties. This communication model can prevent human-to-human conflict or quickly resolve existing conflicts, although it does not guarantee the end of human-to-human conflict. This communication model is hindered by a lack of institutional funds to maximize communication, a lack of human resources, and a lack of public time to educate on religious harmony.
