Abstract

This study aimed to determine the difference in emotional intelligence and Islamic religious education learning outcomes of full-day and boarding school seventh-grade students at Diponegoro Junior High School, Depok, Yogyakarta, in the 2022/2023 academic year. A quantitative approach with ex post facto design (causal-comparative) was employed. The population was all seventh-grade students, namely 180 students. 32 full-day and 32 boarding school students were selected as samples using a purposive sampling technique for their low Islamic Religious Education learning outcomes. Data were collected through the distribution of questionnaires and the administration of tests. These data were then analyzed using hypothesis testing with independent sample t-tests and Mann-Whitney tests. The results showed that first, there is a difference in the emotional intelligence of full-day and boarding school students, as evidenced by the p-value of 0.036 <00.5, which is shown from the average value of emotional intelligence of full-day school students of 77.469 while boarding school students of 81.938. Second, there is a difference in Islamic religious education learning outcomes of full-day and boarding school students, as evidenced by the p-value of 0.001 <0.05, which is indicated by the average value of Islamic religious education learning outcomes of full-day school students of 77.813, while boarding school students of 90.000. This study contributes to developing a scientific theory about the difference in emotional intelligence and learning outcomes of full-day and boarding school students. Particularly for low-achiever students, a boarding school environment with good management and learning quality might better influence their emotional intelligence and learning outcomes.

Abstract

The Asahan Regency is home to numerous ethnic and religious groups. This treasure of religious diversity continues to be a source of discord among the populace. Using a communication model based on Islamic education, the Forum for Religious Harmony (FKUB) in Asahan Regency aims to maintain harmony among individuals. This study seeks to examine the religious communication model of FKUB Asahan District, its results in fostering inter-religious harmony among the people of Asahan District, and its impact on fostering inter-religious harmony in Asahan District. According to the findings of the study, the communication model of the Asahan Regency Religious Harmony Forum can be categorized into two situations: the normal situation, which involves socializing and approaching community leaders, religious leaders, and local government officials, and the conflict situation, which involves mediating between conflicting parties. This communication model can prevent human-to-human conflict or quickly resolve existing conflicts, although it does not guarantee the end of human-to-human conflict. This communication model is hindered by a lack of institutional funds to maximize communication, a lack of human resources, and a lack of public time to educate on religious harmony.

Abstract

The tradition of children education at Gayo typically begins since infant to childhood. At earlier stage, they learn by listening to chant, folktale, and learning from local Islamic scholars. However, in the modernization era, the tradition is worn off. Modernization has changed the youth at Gayo into spiritual depletion, lack in dynamic and creativity, moral degradation and inadequate friendship. To overcome the education crisis of the children in Gayo, it needs reorientation by integrated approach between the Islamic Shariah and the education tradition of Gayo. It is applied though functioning and coordinating between the official Islamic Shariah, the tradition institution of Gayo, and the deliberative board of ulama. Accordingly, the youth at Gayo will become more religious, godly and hold Islamic culture.

Abstract

Aik Bukak Village, North Batukliang District, Central Lombok is an agricultural area with the majority of its people making a living as farmers, apart from managing their yards by growing vegetables and fruit. Several types of fruit are found in quite large quantities and are available almost all year round, whether they come from the garden or not, for example bananas, watermelon and durian. At certain times fruit is available in large quantities, and accompanied by large amounts of waste which is often not utilized, other than as raw material for making organic fertilizer. Basically, this type of waste can be processed into food or snacks, which apart from being useful as an alternative food ingredient, as an effort to diversify food, is also an alternative to increase household income. The aim of this activity is to provide outreach and training in making food products based on local fruit waste in the Aik Bukak Village community. The method used is to conduct lectures, discussions and demonstrations of fruit waste processing by involving the community. From the results of the activity, it can be concluded that the community has additional knowledge regarding the use of fruit waste as food, in the form of banana peel chips, candied watermelon peels, and jackfruit seed cakes. Apart from reducing the potential for environmental pollution, people also have alternative businesses to increase household income.

So, it has an impact on the service that will be provided to customers. The Open Group Architecture Framework (TOGAF) Architecture Development Method was utilized to create this Enterprise Architecture. Data architecture, application architecture, technology architecture, and creating an implementation plan roadmap are included in enterprise architectural planning in BLC. The process of information architecture determining that was constructed refers to the procedures that had taken place in the educational system administration. The definition process covered in this study includes infrastructure, marketing, academic funding, learning planning, and learning execution. This research produced a blueprint that was utilized to enable integrated business processes. The enterprise architecture created during this stage will be used to assist business operations and accomplish their strategic objectives. The research conclusions indicated that the TOGAF method can be utilized as a tool to design the enterprise architecture of this information system and resulted in a general design architecture model in line with the vision and mission of the BLC and can be used to apply to other tutoring institutions that employ comparable business practices.

Abstract

The concept of welfare remains a subject of ongoing debate, and the prevailing frameworks for assessing welfare need to be adapted to align with Islamic principles. This study delves into the concept of falah, a state of well-being rooted in Islamic values, to develop a 'falah welfare index' and analyze it within a Muslim community in Langkat Regency, Indonesia. Additionally, the study explores the variables that influence falah welfare. Employing a mixed-methods approach with an exploratory sequential design, this research qualitatively constructs a falah welfare index and quantitatively measures both community welfare levels and the impact of predictor variables on the criterion variable of falah welfare. A key finding of this study is the establishment of a falah welfare index comprising three categories: fakir (extreme poverty), miskin (poor), and falah (well-being). Moreover, the results reveal a positive influence of religiosity, Islamic work ethics, Islamic consumption ethics, Islamic investment patterns, and Islamic wealth management on falah welfare. The implications of this research offer a novel approach to measuring welfare within Muslim societies and solidify the concept of falah as a cornerstone of welfare evaluation from an Islamic economic perspective.==============================================================================================================ABSTRAK – Pengukuran Kesejahteraan Muslim: Analisis Indeks Berbasis Falah.
