Abstract

As climate change caused by human work continues to increase dramatically, one of the efforts that can be made is to encourage the growth of the green economy. Vocational high schools (SMK) are seen as one of the institutions that should play a role in the growth of green jobs and industries by equipping students with green job skills. Therefore, the first effort is to map the extent to which teachers and students have these skills, so the purpose of this study is to measure the level of generic green skills (KHG) in teachers and students which includes dimensions of cognitive, interpersonal and intrapersonal competencies. In addition, looking at the differences between dimensions as a whole was also carried out. The survey method was adopted with the help of KHG questionnaire instruments in SMKs that have Adiwiyata status. Data were analyzed using descriptive analysis, and ANOVA-Dunnet C Test. As a result, the KHG description of students still shows a low category, while teachers get a high category. However, teachers' KHG was not evenly distributed in each dimension. The interdimensional analysis did not show significant differences, both for teachers and students. These results indicate that there is still a need to strengthen teachers' pedagogy, especially in dimensions and indicators that are still weak. The last recommendation in improving KHG requires synergy from various fields, including society in general.

Abstract

This study aims to accomplish three primary objectives: (1) to identify the key elements that constitute Eco-ELT as a sustainability-oriented pedagogical practice, (2) to describe how school leaders and English teachers construct and enact these practices through their lived and narrative experiences, and (3) to explain the ecological meanings and values that sustain Eco-ELT within a local Islamic school. Drawing on in-depth interviews with the principal and an English teacher, classroom observations, and institutional documents, this study reveals that Eco-ELT is a lived practice shaped by historical, social, and environmental narratives. The findings show that Eco-ELT is rooted in a community initiative, an English course where tuition was paid with waste, which later evolved into a holistic sustainability vision. The principal’s leadership, grounded in reflective learning and community collaboration, led to programs such as SEKAM, English-area policies, and a school-wide environmental culture. Pedagogically, Eco-ELT is implemented through place-based learning, integrating grammar instruction with direct environmental observations in settings such as the Green Lab, composting areas, and thematic gardens. Students act not only as learners but also as ecological agents through roles like “language police” and daily environmental responsibilities. Despite facing challenges related to time constraints, attendance of non-boarding student, and initial skepticism from parents, the school adapts by enhancing communication and showcasing the visible transformation of students. Theoretically, this study positions Eco-ELT as a situated, narrative-driven ecological practice influenced by leadership and place. Empirically, it demonstrates how sustainability-oriented language education can be enacted in resource-constrained yet environmentally committed school contexts.

Abstract

This study explores effective educational strategies for enhancing critical thinking and creativity as core competencies in 21st-century learning. These skills are essential for students to להתמודד complex problems, innovate, and actively participate in global society, yet their implementation in classroom practice remains inconsistent. This research employs a qualitative approach using a Systematic Literature Review (SLR), analyzing recent peer-reviewed journal articles from databases such as Scopus, Web of Science, and Google Scholar. Data were collected through a structured selection process based on relevance, credibility, and alignment with the research focus, and analyzed using thematic and content analysis to identify key patterns across studies. The findings reveal that instructional models such as Project-Based Learning (PjBL), Problem-Based Learning (PBL), and STEM/STEAM integration significantly enhance both critical thinking and creativity. These effects are further strengthened by constructivist principles, collaborative learning, and teacher facilitation. Additionally, technology and AI integration support critical thinking and collaboration, although their impact on creativity requires complementary pedagogical design. The study concludes that a holistic and integrated approach aligning pedagogy, learning environment, technology, and assessment is essential for effectively developing 21st-century skills.

Abstract

This study examines the role of failure in STEM Project-Based Learning (PjBL) as a productive learning mechanism rather than an outcome to be avoided. In contemporary STEM education, failure is increasingly recognized as a critical component that supports deeper conceptual understanding, resilience, and the development of learner identity. However, its implementation remains inconsistent, necessitating a comprehensive synthesis of recent research. This study employs a qualitative approach using a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method, analyzing peer-reviewed journal articles from reputable databases such as Scopus, Web of Science, and Google Scholar. Data were collected through a structured screening process based on inclusion and exclusion criteria, and analyzed using thematic and content analysis to identify key patterns related to cognitive, affective, and pedagogical dimensions of failure in STEM PjBL. The findings reveal that failure enhances higher-order thinking skills (HOTS), problem-solving abilities, and conceptual retention, while also fostering resilience and growth mindset. Structured models such as Return on Failure (RoF), Failure Analysis (FA), and productive failure approaches are shown to be effective in optimizing learning outcomes. Nevertheless, challenges such as cognitive load, time constraints, and negative emotional responses persist. In conclusion, failure can serve as a powerful instructional strategy when supported by appropriate scaffolding and a psychologically safe learning environment.

Abstract

Abstract

This study aims to examine the professional ethics of auditors on the quality of financial report reviews at the Pinrang Regency Inspectorate. Data for this study were obtained using qualitative methods from employees of the Pinrang Regency Inspectorate in 2026, who agreed to participate as respondents. This study used primary data through direct field research, administering questionnaires/statement sheets to respondents, and using a census method. Due to the small sample size, the sample was the entire population, as the population consisted of only 37 auditors. Data analysis techniques were descriptive statistics and Partial Least Squares (PLS). The results showed that integrity had a positive and significant effect on financial report reviews. Objectivity had a positive and significant effect on financial report reviews. Competence had a positive and significant effect on financial report reviews. Auditor confidentiality had a positive and significant effect on financial report reviews. Professional behavior also had a positive and significant effect on financial report reviews. This indicates that the better the integrity, objectivity, competence, auditor confidentiality, and professional behavior of government internal supervisory officials, the better the quality of the resulting financial report reviews. Thus, these factors are essential elements in supporting an objective, professional, and standard-compliant financial report review process.
