Abstract

This research aims to develop aneligible worksheets for inquiry laboratory activities. Research steps consisted of: (1) preliminary study, (2) product development, and (3) limited scale product trial. Result of preliminary study showed that the availability of teaching materials in the laboratory hasn’t support the learning process independently. Laboratory activities carried out by following the guidelines as 'cookbook', with detailed steps. Students just follow the steps for doing experiment. Need for worksheets that enable to construct knowledge’s student through experiments that their own design. The product development was worksheets tested for eligibility by three experts. Inquiry laboratory activities worksheets obtain eligibility value 3.53 of the maximum value of 4 with eligible criteria

Abstract

Student worksheet (LKPD) available in schools generally contain a summary of material, practice questions, and practical instructions that do not guide students in making the chemoentrepreneurship (CEP) project. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the Hi-CEP LKPD project towards: SLS, entrepreneurial interests, and student learning outcomes. The benefits of this study were knowing the improvement of SLS, entrepreneurial interests, and student learning outcomes after the Hi-CEP LKPD project was implemented in project-based learning activities. The research design used was pre-test and post-test control group design. Data retrieval is done by observation, documentation, questionnaires, and tests. The SLS t value and entrepreneur interest questionnaire values are -6.111 and -6.162 ≤ t table 1.667, then the experimental class has a significant change in the control class. SLS assessment and entrepreneurial interest questionnaire each have a p-value Sig. ≤ 0.05, and the Sig. (2-tailed) cognitive learning outcomes data amounted to 0.021, 0.05, then the experimental class and the control class had significant differences. The conclusion of this study is the Hi-CEP Project LKPD effectively improves social life skills, entrepreneurial interests and student learning outcomes. The researcher suggested that the teacher be able to compile the CEP project-based LKPD. The chemoentrepreneurship project (CEP) practicum can foster the entrepreneurial interest of students that is useful for the lives of students after graduating later because not all students can continue to college, besides that it can improve the social life skills (SLS) of students who appear in preparation activities manufacture of products to marketing.

Abstract

Science process skills are indispensable for educators in the world of education or in everyday life that includes observing, categorizing, interpreting, forecasting, questioning, formulating hypotheses and communicating. The aim of this research is to develop of inquiry-based chemical practicum green chemistry-oriented for improving the students' science process skills in a colloid material. This research is a type of R & D research with One Group Pretest-posttest Design design applied to test the application of practicum as the product of development. The criteria for the success of this study are valid practicum, increasing KPS and getting a positive response from learners. Research data obtained by observation method, documentation, questionnaire and test. Device validation results obtained valid criteria (3.8 of 4). The results of early practicum KPS were in enough and fewer categories, improved on the final lab in the good and excellent category. The average of cognitive learning outcomes of the broad test classes is 79.20 (> of KKM) and the proportion of classical learning completion is greater than 80% or 24 of the 30 students reach the KKM. Students respond positively to the practicum in the "strongly agree" criteria.

Abstract

The involvement of science, environment, society, and technology or SETS (Science, Environment, Technology, and Society) in learning makes learning more meaningful. The fluency and success in learning can be supported by the availability of more varied learning facilities, one of them with Student Worksheets (LKS). SETS visionary worksheets as a learning tool that will be developed to train students' scientific literacy in accordance with the learning material. The purpose of this study is to describe the improvement of students' scientific literacy skills between the experimental class and the control class. This study uses Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Scientific literacy skills are measured by a description of 10 items. The results showed that there were differences in the increase in scientific literacy skills between the experimental class and the control class in the low improvement category, but there was a significant difference in both quality/statistics. The percentage increase in the experimental class (41.5%) was greater than the control class (24.7%). Students' responses to the worksheets applied were very good. The conclusions in this study are that SETS vision worksheets applied can improve students' scientific literacy.

Abstract

Twenty first century learning directs teachers and students to develop learning to promote critical thinking skills. The learning model accommodating critical thinking skills is inquiry. Chemistry learning modules that have not used a chemical representation approach. This study aims to produce chemical representation based equilibrium modules with a decent and quality inquiry approach. This research is a development research from Thiagarajan modified 4D model. Four stages of development are Define (design), Design (Develop), Develop (development), and Disseminate (spread), with disseminate not done. Evaluation of module feasibility is seen from the validity and effectiveness of the module. The effectiveness of the module is seen from the increase in learning outcomes and improvement of students' critical thinking skills. Based on the results of the analysis obtained a validity value of 3.41 (85.25%) with a very good category. In a large-scale trial obtained an increase in learning outcomes through the N-Gain test obtained an average value of 0.72 with a high category, while the aspect of critical thinking was assessed based on observations on the observations and explanations of students in answering questions. Critical thinking ability of students at a score of 3.35 with a good predicate. While the response of students who agreed to use the chemical module was 96%. The average score of posttest using critical thinking questions is 81.39. Based on the results of the evaluation of inquiry-based chemical equilibrium material modules and the chemical representation approach it is said to be feasible and effective for learning.

Abstract

Salt hydrolysis is a difficult chemical concept because it is microscopic and abstract. These properties can occur misconceptions. The misconception in this material is quite high and is spread across all concepts. Submission of this material with appropriate learning methods and models is expected to reduce student misconceptions. Therefore, it is necessary to conduct research aimed at studying the results of the analysis of salt hydrolysis misconceptions after the application of guided inquiry assisted by e-laboratory instructions. This research was conducted at Jekulo 1 High School in the 2018/2019 academic year with 104 research subjects. The method used in this research is quantitative description method. The results obtained showed that students' misconceptions of salt hydrolysis material after the application of guided inquiry assisted by e-laboratory instructions were still high. The results of misconception analysis on salt hydrolysis materials were 47.50%. Misconceptions regarding changes in color in a salt solution, ionic equilibrium in a salt solution, experimental experiments to predict the pH of a salt solution, the acidic acidic nature of a salt solution, and the pH of a suitable salt solution were 41.35%; 62.50%; 35.58%; 37.02%; and 61.06%.
