Abstract

Many students in elementary school have difficulty in understanding the subject matter delivered through text. This is caused by various factors, including low reading skills and lack of interest in the subject matter. Therefore, it is important to develop more accessible and interesting learning media, such as non-textbook picture books, to support the teaching and learning process. Social emotional skills (SEM) are an important factor in children's development, especially in elementary school age. Elementary schools that realize child-friendly education will create safe and comfortable schools. This study aims to explore information retention based on accessibility of non-text picture story books on children's social emotional skills and learning outcomes. The method used is a quantitative study with a survey approach. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to 100 students of SDN Sumurwuni. The results showed that there was a very good increase in information retention based on accessibility of non-text picture books on social emotional skills and learning outcomes. These findings indicate that the development of non-text picture story books and SEM can be an effective strategy to improve students' academic achievement because there is an element of reading interest in it with interesting media so that the elements in forming a child-friendly school.

Abstract

Pendidikan memegang peranan sentral dalam mengembangkan sumber daya manusia yang unggul dan berdaya saing, salah satu caranya adalah dengan meningkatkan kualitas calon pendidik yang akan berperan langsung dalam proses pembelajaran. Untuk mencapai SDGs 4: Pendidikan Bermutu, dibutuhkan pendidik yang memiliki keterampilan merancang perangkat pembelajaran yang memenuhi standar nasional dan kebutuhan peserta didik yang dapat dilakukan melalui pendekatan studi kurikulum. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan siswa calon guru dalam merancang perangkat pembelajaran Program Semester (Prosem), Alur Sasaran Pembelajaran (ATP), dan Modul Ajar sebagai bentuk implementasi SDGs 4: Pendidikan Bermutu melalui studi kurikulum. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif kuantitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Subjek penelitian adalah 25 mahasiswa semester empat Program Studi Pendidikan Kimia Universitas Negeri Semarang. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui lembar penilaian sejawat dan angket tanggapan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan keterampilan siswa calon guru dalam merancang perangkat pembelajaran sebelum dan sesudah studi kurikulum sebesar 32% untuk program semester, 28% untuk ATP, dan 21% untuk modul terbuka. Persentase tanggapan siswa mengenai persepsi mereka terhadap kurikulum pembelajaran adalah 82,63%, yang dikategorikan sangat baik. Studi ini menyimpulkan bahwa pembelajaran yang efektif dalam meningkatkan keterampilan calon guru dalam merancang perangkat pembelajaran, sehingga mewujudkan pendidikan yang berkualitas (SDGs 4). Abstract

This research aims to develop and evaluate the validity and practicality of the Manarang module, an innovative digital teaching module based on ethnomathematics and Augmented Reality (AR) designed for prospective mathematics teacher students. This study employs the Borg and Gall model research and development methodology, which includes restricted trials, expert validation, initial product development, and planning. 32 students enrolled in the University of West Sulawesi's mathematics education studies program served as the study's subjects. Student response surveys to gauge practical features and validation sheets from media and material experts are among the research tools. The results of the study showed that the Manarang module was declared very valid with an average validation score of 90.67% for media experts and 90% for material experts. Furthermore, the practicality test resulted in an average score of 87.07 which falls into the category of very practical. These results show that the developed e-modules are valid, practical, and feasible to use as an innovative learning medium that not only presents mathematical concepts interactively and contextually through the integration of local cultures, but also utilizes AR technology to visualize abstract concepts to make them easier to understand. The Manarang module will help prospective teachers visualize geometric objects in geometric transformation learning.

Abstract

The competence of life skills training graduates in the industrial era 4.0 must be in line with the needs of work competencies and adapt 21st century skills, but the results of the evaluation of training programs at the Institute of Courses and Training (LKP) show that the absorption of training graduates is still low, ranging from 35%-44%. The research objectives are (a) to identify the validity and reliability of indicators of factors that play a role in the competence of graduates of life skills training; (b) to obtain a causal relationship model of determinant factors on the competence of graduates of life skills training based on partnerships with industry. The research method uses a quantitative approach designed with expost facto research. Data collection techniques with a scaled questionnaire. The research population was graduates of life skills training at the Semarang City Course and Training Institute (LKP) in the last 3 years. The sampling technique used simple random sampling 163 respondents. Data analysis using structural equation modeling with Confirmatory Factor Analysis to obtain overall model fit. The results of the research compiled a determinant model of the competence of graduates of life skills training is the alignment factor of the soft skills and hard skills learning outcomes curriculum integrated with industry competency needs, learning methods apply internship systems, product based training, on the job training with industrial partners, alignment of learning facilities and infrastructure based on information technology and process evaluation factors and the end of training learning with competency certification tests. Recommendations for Courses and Training Institutions in developing curricula to equip 21st century skills-oriented life skills graduate competencies, including soft skills competencies of critical thinking, creativity, digital literacy, collaboration and emotional intelligence and hard skills by conditioning learning in collaboration with industrial institutions.

Abstract

This article is a narrative review that discusses the development and implementation of a student worksheet based on Project-Based Learning (PjBL) integrated with the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) approach and the principles of Green Chemistry to enhance students’ conceptual understanding and 21st century competencies. Today’s education faces the challenge of not only focusing on content mastery but also equipping students with critical thinking, problem-solving, collaboration, communication, creativity, and awareness of global environmental issues. The integration of PjBL with STEM and Green Chemistry offers a relevant and contextual solution for meaningful chemistry learning. This review analyzes national and international studies published between 2020 and 2025, showing that the use of worksheets based on this integrated approach can improve students’ learning engagement, deepen conceptual understanding, and foster 21st century skills. Moreover, incorporating Green Chemistry principles into learning contributes significantly to instilling values of sustainability and environmental responsibility from an early age. This article also recommends further development and empirical research to test the effectiveness of such worksheets in various educational contexts, particularly in secondary school chemistry instruction.

Abstract

Waste is the residue from daily human activities and/or natural processes in solid form. Waste management so far has not been in accordance with environmentally conscious methods and techniques, resulting in negative impacts on public health and the environment. Therefore, community involvement is necessary in waste management to ensure it can be run proportionally, effectively, and efficiently. Kampung Baru Village is one of the villages that greatly needs an understanding of beneficial waste management for its surrounding community because there is a considerable amount of household waste that is not properly managed, leading to negative impacts on the surrounding environment. This Community Service aims to provide understanding to the community about the importance of proper household waste management to avoid negative impacts on public health. The activities were conducted in the form of counseling attended by the mothers of the Working Group (Pojka) of PKK Kampung Baru in the Gunung Toar District. The methods used included lectures, discussions, and practical activities such as making Eco bricks and compost. The results of this activity reveal that the community still did not know how to manage household waste properly and correctly. Therefore, the community will be able to apply and utilize household waste in making Eco bricks and compost, thereby avoiding negative impacts on public health and the environment. Abstrak Sampah merupakan sisa dari kegiatan sehari-hari manusia dan/atau proses alam yang berbentuk padat. Pengelolaan sampah selama ini belum sesuai dengan metode dan teknik pengelolaan sampah yang berwawasan lingkungan sehingga menimbulkan dampak negatif terhadap kesehatan masyarakat dan lingkungan. Sehingga didalam pengelolaan sampah diperlukan peran masyarakat agar pengelolaan sampah dapat berjalan secara proporsional, efektif, dan efisien. Desa Kampung Baru merupakan salah satu desa yang sangat membutuhkan pemahaman tentang pengelolaan sampah yang bermanfaat bagi masyarakat sekitarnya, karena banyak sekali sampah –sampah hasil rumah tangga yang tidak terkelola dengan baik. Sehingga menimbulkan dampak negatif bagi lingkungan sekitarnya. Pengabdian Masyarakat  ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pemahaman kepada masyarakat tentang pentingnya pengelolaan sampah rumah tangga yang benar untuk menghindari dampak negatif bagi kesehatan masyarakat. Kegiatan ini dilakukan dalam bentuk penyuluhan yang diikuti oleh ibu- ibu kelompok kerja (Pojka) PKK Kampung Baru Kecamatan Gunung Toar. Metode yang digunakan adalah ceramah, diskusi dan praktek pembuatan ecobrick dan pupuk lindi. Hasil dari kegiatan ini di ketahui bahwa masyarakat masih belum mengetahui pengelolaan sampah rumah tangga yang baik dan benar, sehingga melalui kegiatan ini masyarakat akan dapat mengaplikasikan dan memanfaatkan sampah rumah tangga tersebut dalam pembuatan ecobrick, pupuk lindi untuk menghindari dampak negatif bagi kesehatan masyarakat dan lingkungan.

Abstract

Gastritis merupakan salah satu gangguan sistem pencernaan atau peradangan pada lambung yang disebabkan oleh iritasi atau infeksi yang sering terjadi pada masyarakat, termasuk pada mahasiswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor yang berhubungan dengan kejadian gejala gastritis pada mahasiswa tingkat akhir Program Studi Kesehatan Masyarakat Fakultas Kesehatan Universitas Hang Tuah Pekanbaru tahun 2025. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain analitik kuantitatif dengan pendekatan cross-sectional. Penelitian di lakukan di Program Studi Kesehatan Masyarakat Universitas Hang Tuah Pekanbaru. Jumlah responden sebanyak 91 responden yang di pilih melalui teknik simple random sampling. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan kuesioner, analisis univariat ,bivariat dan dengan uji chi square untuk melihat hubungan variabel independen dan variabel dependen. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan signifikan antara pola makan dengan kejadian gejala gastritis (p=0,023) POR 2,977 (1,247-7,111), konsumsi kopi (p=0,033) POR 2,740 ( 1,740-6,434), dan kualitas tidur (p=0,045) POR 2,775 ( 1,117-6,893), dan tidak ada hubungan merokok dan tingkat stres dengan kejadian gejala gastritis. Kesimpulannya, maha- siswa tingkat akhir dengan pola makan tidak sehat, konsumsi kopi berlebihan, dan kualitas tidur buruk memiliki risiko lebih besar mengalami kejadian gejala gastritis. Abstract

The low chemical literacy of students and chemistry teachers of SMA Negeri 1 Insana is due to not developing an electronic-based learning media. This study aims to develop an E-Book based on local wisdom on the manufacture of traditional herbal medicine as chemical literacy with an Ethno-STEM approach. The research method is 3D model R and D. Data collection techniques through interviews, validation and questionnaires. The instruments used in this study were validation sheets and questionnaire sheets. The E-Book was validated by two experts, namely material experts and media experts and the subjects in this study were ten students of class XI science at SMA Negeri 1 Insana. The results of the validity that have been analyzed obtained a material validation value of 84 percent and a media validation value of 92 percent so that the average percentage of expert validators on the product developed was 88 percent with very valid criteria, while the response of students on a small scale obtained a value of 75 percent with good criteria and large scale score of 90.66 percent with very good criteria. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the developed E-Book was very valid and very good to use.

Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan eksperimen dengan design kontrol grup dan hanya postes, yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui kemampuan pemecahan masalah dan disposisi matematik siswa melalui pembelajaran inkuiri model Silver. Penelitian melibatkan siswa kelas X Sekolah Menengah Atas kelompok sekolah tinggi dan sedang di Kota Cimahi. Instrumen penelitian mencakup tes kemampuan awal matematika, tes pemecahan masalah matematik, skala disposisi matematik, lembar observasi, dan pedoman wawancara. Data dianalisis menggunakan anova satu dan dua jalur, uji Scheffe, asosiasi kontingensi. Hasil penelitian ini adalah: 1) Kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematik siswa yang belajar inkuiri model Silver grup lebih baik dari inkuiri model Silver klasikal dan biasa, demikian pula kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematik siswa yang belajar inkuiri model Silver klasikal lebih baik dari pembelajaran biasa; 2) Model pembelajaran, kelompok sekolah, dan kemampuan awal matematika memberikan pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematik. Namun model pembelajaran mempunyai peranan lebih besar terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematik.; 3) Tidak terdapat interaksi antara kelompok sekolah dan model pembelajaran, dan juga antara kelompok pembelajaran dan kemampuan awal matematika dalam mengembangkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematik; 4) Disposisi siswa terhadap matematika positif; 5) Terdapat asosiasi antara kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematik dan disposisi siswa terhadap matematika.

Abstract

Currently, the MCA (Minimum Competency Assessment) program is part of the National Assessment to measure minimum literacy and numeracy competencies. MCA questions consist of various content, various contexts and several levels of cognitive levels. This quantitative descriptive research is focused on analyzing the literacy and numeracy abilities of students in solving MCA questions that are integrated with scientific and socio-cultural contexts. Data collection was carried out using a questionnaire and MCA test instruments. The results of this study indicate that the minimum competence of students is mostly at the proficient level of 42%. The greatest achievement of the cognitive level of reading literacy is at the level of evaluating and reflecting because the discourse and phenomena presented in the questions are often encountered by students. The lowest achievement is at the understanding level because it requires the ability to analyze and associate information with the concepts that students have. The achievement of the highest cognitive level of numeracy literacy is at the knowing level because students can carry out basic calculation operations and change variables according to the information in the items. The lowest achievement at the reasoning level was because students had never found the type of questions that required the ability to analyze, predict, and take strategies to solve the items..
