Abstract

This study investigates internal migration in Indonesia using logistic regression to analyze the impact of nine independent variables: social participation, social capital, risk-taking attitudes, age, marital status, gender, education level, mobile phone ownership, and internet access. The data were derived from the 5th Indonesian Family Life Survey (IFLS), which included 16,204 households and 50,418 individuals across 13 provinces. Respondents comprised of households’ head, their partners, and family members aged 15 years and older. The findings indicate that education level, internet access, marital status, and social capital significantly influence internal migration. Specifically, the contributions of these variables to explaining internal migration were 58.36% (OR: 1.401) for education level, 58.17% (OR: 1.398) for internet access, 51.63 % (OR: 1.068) for social capital, and 49.7% (OR: 0,987) for marital status, cumulatively explaining 1,55% of the variance in migration outcomes, with a Chi-square (X2) of 153,16 and p < 0.000. Based on these results, it is recommended that the government develop new economic growth centers, enhance social capital at the community level, and improve the information and communication technology infrastructure nationwide to optimize the benefits of internal migration for societal welfare.

Abstract

Anemia is a prevalent health issue among adolescent girls, particularly in developing countries, with serious consequences for growth, cognitive function, and overall well-being. As this group undergoes critical physical development and prepares for future reproductive health, effective prevention strategies are essential. Health education has been widely recognized as a key intervention to improve awareness, knowledge, and behavioral changes related to iron intake and nutrition. This study systematically reviews 18 eligible articles published between 2013 and 2024 that examine the effectiveness of various educational media in preventing anemia among adolescent girls. A comprehensive literature search was conducted using Google Scholar and PubMed with relevant keywords in both English and Bahasa Indonesia. The included studies utilize different methodologies, such as quasi-experimental designs, participatory action research (PAR), and media development. Various educational media were analyzed, including leaflets, posters, videos, mobile applications, and interactive tools like educational games. The findings consistently demonstrate that educational interventions, particularly those utilizing digital and interactive media, effectively enhance knowledge, foster positive attitudes, and promote healthier behaviors. Approaches that actively involve participants, such as PAR, further improve engagement and personal responsibility for health. To maximize effectiveness, future programs should expand the use of digital platforms, such as social media and gamified learning tools, which have been shown to sustain attention and motivation. Additionally, integrating culturally relevant and community-based educational strategies can further enhance the long-term impact of anemia prevention efforts among adolescent girls.

Abstract

Women of the Field, specifically the women of PHKom Perempuan AMAN Menteng, have limited knowledge about Fintech and the overall marketing stages of products. Partners also lack knowledge about the importance of intellectual property rights for a product's brand. The aim of this community service activity is to assist partners in enhancing their knowledge in accounting, specifically on the use of fintech such as E-Wallets (OVO and Dana) and QRIS for digital payments. In marketing, it involves applying marketing strategies to products, starting from packing, branding, and promotion, and helping partners register their brand's intellectual property rights. This activity was conducted with the women of PHKom Perempuan Aman Menteng, in Amplas Village, Deli Serdang Regency, about 8 km from STMB MULTISMART. The location was chosen because the village has a community of women who own fields and home-based businesses as their main source of income. The results of this community service are that the partners are now able to use digital wallets like OVO and Dana, and QRIS for cashless transactions. Additionally, in terms of marketing, partners have more modern production and packing tools, which have improved productivity, and their product brand is now registered with intellectual property rights. The result of the activity implementation is that the partner has become more productive in producing products due to the availability of production support equipment, which has led to an increase in the partner's income.

Abstract

Desa Rumah Kampung, located in Lawe Alas District, Southeast Aceh, primarily produces rice and corn. The community uses most of the rice for basic needs and livestock feed, with the remainder sold as a source of income. However, 45% of agricultural output does not meet food needs, 60% of the community still buys cooking ingredients, and there is limited access to agricultural products, a lack of food diversification, and 40% of the community does not cultivate horticultural crops. This Community Service Program (PKM) aims to increase understanding of the significance of horticultural crop diversification in supporting food security and family nutrition. The PKM implements the participatory rural appraisal method, including socialization, training, land preparation, seed procurement, planting, and horticultural crop maintenance. A total of 25 participants (20 housewives and 5 youth) were involved in the activity. The results of this program include a rise in the community's knowledge of horticultural crop cultivation, with the mean score before the exam being of 55.8 and the mean score after the test being 66.2, improved horticultural skills, active community participation in seed procurement and planting, and enhanced horticultural crop diversification. This community empowerment activity contributes to the increased availability of diverse food and improved family nutrition.

Abstract

Significant changes in technology, social, political, and environmental conditions drive organizations to innovate to remain competitive while meeting sustainability demands. This study examines the impact of Total Quality Management (TQM) implementation on achieving corporate sustainability through a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach. Researchers identified relevant studies from various sources, such as Science Direct, Emeral, and Research Gate, to map key findings. Analysis of 33 journal articles shows that TQM positively contributes to three dimensions of sustainability (economic, social, and environmental) by reducing waste, optimizing resource use, and strengthening commitment to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). However, TQM implementation is not free from challenges, such as organizational resistance, high investment requirements, and regulatory uncertainty. By understanding these dynamics, companies can develop strategies that integrate TQM as a foundation to strengthen competitiveness while contributing to sustainable global development.
