Abstract

MSMEs in the food sector are the dominant economic support in Indonesia. Surabaya has more than 60 thousand MSMEs. In food production at the MSME level, food additives and packaging is inevitable. Despite the current regulations, people still encounter dangerous food additives or packaging. This is caused by a lack of knowledge and awareness of food producers and consumers. On the other hand, since the implementation of the halal guarantee system, the use of halal labels on food and beverage products has become very important. For MSMEs, the government makes it easy to get a halal label through the self-declare halal program using the SEHATI. This activity aims to provide training on safe food additives and packaging, halal food, and the self-declare halal program using the SEHATI application in Surabaya. Carrying out activities using presentation and two-way interaction. Evaluate activities through pretest and posttest for each topic. The lowest values for food packaging, it is 52.92 and 79.58. The highest value was shown by the halal topic with an average of 69.58 and 97.92. The significance of the increase in value was demonstrated by the Wilcoxon test using SPSS 22 which showed the Asymp. Sig (2-tailed) value for the three topics less than 0.05. Thus, it can be concluded that this activity has proven to be able to improve participants' abilities regarding safe food additives and packaging, as well as halal food and the introduction of the self-declare halal program.

Abstract

This research aims to develop an automated approach for nanoparticle segmentation within carbon composites using a U-Net model. Nanoparticles in carbon composites are critical for enhancing the mechanical and electrical properties of these materials, but manual detection and segmentation are challenging due to their minute size and dispersed distribution. In this study, a U-Net model with an encoder-decoder architecture was employed to segment scanning electron microscope (SEM) images of palladium-carbon (Pd/C) nanoparticles. The dataset comprised 750 SEM images, exhibiting diverse nanoparticle shapes and sizes. Preprocessing steps included image cropping to eliminate irrelevant regions and the application of Otsu Thresholding to generate ground truth segmentation masks. Model performance was assessed using metrics such as Intersection over Union (IoU), accuracy, and loss. The U-Net model demonstrated high segmentation accuracy, achieving rates between 92% and 95% after 20 training epochs. Additionally, the model was deployed via a Flask web application for real-time prediction. This work significantly advances the efficiency and accuracy of nanoparticle segmentation, offering promising applications in material science and industrial research.

Abstract

This paper aims to expound on the dynamics of Al-Qur'ān teaching in the archipelago. Since ancient times, the archipelago has not only had natural resources but also skilled human resources in various fields, especially the learning of Al-Qur'ān. In this article, the author uses a descriptive method with the aim of describing three Indonesian ulama and their methods and styles of interpretation systematically by referring to academic sources. This article finds that there is criticism from orientalists and commentators on Indonesian scholars who say that Tarjuman Al-Mustafid's commentary is a translation of Jalalain's commentary or Imam Baidhawi's commentary. This is not appropriate in the author's opinion after reviewing several sources. Apart from that, this article also contains differences of opinion from commentators regarding the styles used by three Indonesian commentators which will be analyzed by the writer. Thus, the three early Indonesian scholars who will be discussed by the author are ‘Abd Al-Rauf As-Sinkili with his tafsir book Tarjumān Al-Mustafῑd complete with 30 juz, which was discovered in the 17th century. This tafsir uses Malay-Jawi. Then, Imam Muhammad Nawawi Al-Bantani with his commentary, namely Tafsῑr al-Munῑr Li Ma'ālim Al-Tanzῑl, which was discovered in the 19th century. This commentary book uses an Arabic introduction and was written outside the archipelago. And finally Kiai Sholeh Darat with his interpretation Tafsir Faidh Al-Rahmān which was detected at the end of the 19th century. This book uses Javanese (Pegon Arabic).

Abstract

Provisions regarding Justice Collaborator are regulated in Law Number 31 of 2014 concerning the Protection of Witnesses and Victims. In practice, it is not uncommon for the role of Justice Collaborator to be applied inappropriately. For example, in the case of Bharada Richard Eliezer Pudihang Lumiu. This study aims  to examine and analyze the determination of justice collaborator according to Law Number 31 of 2014 and examine and analyze the ideal construction of determining the status of justice collaborator  for perpetrators of premeditated murder crimes. This study uses normative juridical research with secondary data in the form of primary, secondary, and tertiary legal materials. The results showed that the determination of the status of justice collaborator in the Brigadier Joshua murder case by the defendant Ricard Eliezer the application for Justice Collaborator status should have been rejected by the panel of judges, where the crime of premeditated murder was not included in the category of cases that qualified as Justice Collaborator based on the provisions of Law Number 31 of 2014, but for the sake of disclosure of the case,  and in order to fulfill the responsibility of judges in carrying out their main duties and functions, to enforce the law optimally in order to fulfill a sense of justice, expediency and legal certainty. The Justice Collaborator system for premeditated murder perpetrators requires clearer, more detailed legal rules, as per the rule of law, legality, and certainty theories, compared to arrangements in America, Italy, and Hong Kong.

Abstract

Abstract

Learning loss is one type of learning crisis, which refers to the loss of previously learned competencies, incomplete learning at the grade level, and the numerous consequences of not mastering learning at each grade level. As a result, attempts can be made to address these issues through advancing information technology, particularly through augmented Reality (AR)-based learning technologies and artificial intelligence with machine learning. This study aims to create and evaluate the effectiveness of the mobile application "MathWiz" as an AR-based learning media for improving students' mathematical proficiency. The MathWiz program is designed in three stages: listen to customers, build/revise mock-ups, and customer test drives mock-ups. Many respondents from several universities in Bandung participated in this study. According to the results, MathWiz has four advantages: (1) it can display detailed objects and learning materials in real-time; (2) interactivity supported by sophisticated and accurate audio text, video, images, and animation features; (3) has the potential to improve students' mathematical proficiency, and (4) has the potential to increase students' interest in learning mathematics and reduce boredom. The results of this study show that learning mathematics can be made more entertaining and memorable through lecturer innovation.
