Abstract

The information technology revolution has changed the threat map into a more complex space. Cyberspace has become an unlimited platform for cyber activities conducted by various domestic, regional, and international actors. While some people in the world utilize advances in information technology for positive activities, others use it to present threats. This research analyses the State’s perspective on cyber threats, particularly in the context of cyber warfare, in line with Indonesia’s State defense doctrine that classifies threats into three forms: military, non-military, and hybrid. The research method used is qualitative. The research results are expected to provide a clear picture of the nature of the cyber war threat in Indonesia and the government’s strategy in dealing with it. Thus, it is expected that there will be synergy between the role of the TNI as the main component of national defense and related ministries/agencies in developing strategies and implementing the national defense system to face the threat of cyber warfare.

Abstract

As the country with the largest market share in the Hajj, Indonesia possesses the innate ability to contribute to the Hajj and Umrah ecosystem. Nevertheless, the management of this ecosystem is not yet optimized. This study aimed to formulate a model for developing Indonesia's commercial Hajj and Umrah ecosystems. The research was conducted from August 2021 to July 2022 at the Directorate General of Hajj and Umrah of the Ministry of Religion and the Head Office of the Hajj Financial Management Agency (BPKH). Interpretative structural modeling (ISM) was utilized to assess this study. The principal institutions or groups involved in constructing a model for developing Indonesia's Hajj and Umrah ecosystems were the DPR RI and the Ministry of Hajj in Saudi Arabia. The major obstacles encountered include the absence of an institution that focuses on optimizing the Hajj and Umrah ecosystems and the unpredictability of the Hajj and Umrah regulations that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabian government governs. Keywords: hajj financial management agency (bpkh), ecosystem, ministry of religion, hajj and umrah, soft system methodology

Abstract

This study investigates the readiness of the Social Security Agency for Employment (BPJS Ketenagakerjaan) to implement flexible working arrangements (FWAs) in response to the evolving work landscape post-COVID-19. With the Indonesian government's reclassification of the pandemic, organizations are reconsidering their work models, making it crucial to assess their preparedness for hybrid work systems. The research employs a case study design with a descriptive approach, utilizing the TAIDA method to develop planning scenarios. Data collection includes primary data from in-depth interviews with experts and secondary data from relevant literature and internal documents. Findings reveal that BPJS Ketenagakerjaan demonstrates a very good level of readiness across various dimensions, including technology and management, with an overall readiness index of 82.58. However, the mobility policy dimension indicated potential improvement areas. The study highlights the importance of establishing clear policies and standard operating procedures to support remote work, particularly for employees with specific health needs. The implications of this research are significant for BPJS Ketenagakerjaan as it provides a structured framework for enhancing organizational readiness for FWAs, ensuring employee engagement and satisfaction. This study contributes to the broader discourse on flexible work arrangements, offering practical guidance for public service organizations navigating the complexities of hybrid work implementation.

Abstract

Purpose – The purpose of this research is to identify and determine reputation risk mitigation strategies that may arise in the business processes of wedding activities at Lifetime Organizer Bogor. A poor reputation for a wedding organizer can drive consumers to switch to competitors with a better reputation. Therefore, effective reputation risk management is crucial for wedding organizers.Design/methodology/approach – This study employs the Risk Assessment Godfrey method and Flanagan & Norman Risk Response Analysis. Risks are identified through direct observation at multiple weddings organized by Lifetime Organizer, in-depth interviews with the owner and field coordinators, and the distribution of questionnaires to partner vendors and consumers of Lifetime Organizer. The risk assessment is calculated using a comprehensive approach that combines qualitative and quantitative elements, facilitated by questionnaires, and processed through geometric mean calculations.Findings – The findings in this study contain mitigation action strategies for risks with high and extreme risk levels. These mitigation strategies are organized based on implementation that aligns with the company's needs and resources, thereby enabling the company to proactively prevent the occurrence of such risks.Research limitations/implications – In this study, the identified risks pertain to factors that may influence the company's reputation. Since reputation is a subjective perception held by individuals, it introduces subjectivity in the process of identifying and evaluating risks. It is anticipated that in future research endeavors, this aspect will be duly considered and addressed.Practical implications – The research holds significant practical implications for wedding organizers, providing a tailored approach to reputation risk management. The proposed strategies, informed by the risk assessment framework, empower companies to navigate the dynamic event planning industry effectively, fostering long-term success and resilience.Originality/value – This study contributes novelty by adapting and applying established risk assessment methods to the specific context of the wedding planning industry in Indonesia. The findings offer a unique perspective on reputation risk management, providing valuable insights for both industry practitioners and researchers in developing countries.

Abstract

Given the crucial role of knowledge creation in contemporary business enterprises, a fundamental question arises: what processes are facilitating knowledge creation?  This study aims to find the answer. This study investigates the interrelations among four categories of knowledge assets (experiential, conceptual, systemic, and routine) and four categories of SECI model for knowledge creation processes (socialization, externalization, combination , and internalization). In our framework, we argue that different types of knowledge assets may have differing influences on knowledge creation. In order to test the feasibility of this framework, we conducted an empirical research exercise.  Data were collected from three dairy cooperations in Java, Indonesia through a survey instrument. A total of 105 usable responses were analysed. We employed regression analysis, ANOVA and canonical correlation analysis to examine the separate correlations. We identified four responses interrelationhips from this study. Compared to other knowledge assets, conceptual knowledge assets have a greater effect on socialization of knowledge creation process. Experiential knowledge assets have  a greater effect on combination. Routine knowledge assets have a greater effect on externalization of knowledge creation process. Systemic knowledge assets have a greater effect on internalization of knowledge creation process.
