Abstract

Majapahit was a religious kingdom. This research aims to find out the glory of Majapahit during the reign of Rajasanagara, socio-economic life, and know the acculturation of Majapahit culture. The research method used is descriptive qualitative in the form of literature review obtained from articles, journals, books, research reports, proceedings, theses and so on. This research produced a description of the Majapahit kingdom which reached its peak during the reign of Rajasanagara, the socio-economic life at that time and cultural acculturation in the form of religious literature and sacred buildings. The Majapahit Kingdom reached its peak during the reign of Hayam Wuruk or Rajasanagara. Majapahit implemented a well-structured government system. Majapahit built strong diplomatic relations with various kingdoms, including China, Champa, Siam and India. Based on the records of Chinese traveler Ma-Huan, the economic system of Majapahit society was believed to be relatively advanced during the reign of Rajasanagara. As a Hindu-Buddhist kingdom. Majapahit emphasized religious life marked by artifacts and textual remains. Majapahit literature was always acculturated with the religious system which eventually formed its own culture for the Majapahit kingdom. The form of acculturation is implemented in Majapahit's sacred buildings that are based on religious teachings.

Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas tentang penerapan Model Problem Based Learning (PBL) sebagai solusi untuk meningkatkan pembelajaran tematik di SD Negeri 78 Palembang. PBL menekankan pemecahan masalah dunia nyata, mendorong keterlibatan aktif, dan pengembangan pemikiran kritis siswa.Peneliti menemukan permasalahan dimana pembelajaran yang dilaksanakan di kelas V SD Negeri 78 palembang  masih terkesan monoton dan konvensional sehingga peserta didik mempunyai motivasi dan semangat belajar yang rendah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengatasi permasalahan yang ditemukan peneliti tersebut, yaitu guna meningkatkan motivasi dan semangat dalam belajar. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan kajian literatur, observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui pembacaan literatur dari sumber jurnal, observasi langsung, dan wawancara dengan guru kelas V SD Negeri 78 Palembang. Penerapan PBL efektif dalam pembelajaran tematik terpadu karena melatih keterampilan siswa dalam memecahkan masalah nyata dan meningkatkan motivasi belajar. Evaluasi hasil belajar menunjukkan variasi nilai siswa, menunjukkan tingkat pemahaman yang berbeda-beda. Beberapa siswa menunjukkan pemahaman yang baik sementara yang lain memperoleh nilai lebih rendah. Model PBL berhasil meningkatkan efektivitas pembelajaran tematik di kelas V SD Negeri 78 Palembang. Penelitian ini menggarisbawahi pentingnya keterlibatan aktif siswa dalam proses pembelajaran dan peran guru sebagai fasilitator. Model PBL dapat menjadi solusi untuk membuat pembelajaran lebih menarik, meningkatkan pemahaman siswa, dan mendorong pemikiran kritis.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui dan menganalisis perubahan sosial dan ekonomi masyarakat Jawa-Bali di Desa Tugumulyo. Metode penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode penelitian fenomenologi, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan tiga tahap, yang meliputi kondensasi data, penyajian data, dan kesimpulan atau verifikasi lebih lanjut. Pengumpulan data diperoleh melalui wawancara, jurnal, buku, dan dokumen-dokumen yang berkaitan dengan penelitian. Hasil temuan dari penelitian menunjukkan transmigrasi Desa Tugumulyo bukan program transmigrasi rancangan dari pemerintah. Transmigran Jawa, Bali, dan penduduk asli melakukan perambahan hutan untuk membangun lahan pertanian dan tempat tinggal. Perambahan lahan tersebut menuai hasil, karena Tugumulyo memiliki pH tanah yang cukup subur. Transmigran memanfaatkan untuk menanam bibit padi dan perolehan panen sesuai harapan transmigran. Pemerintah setempat juga menobatkan Tugumulyo penghasilan beras terbanyak di Kabupaten OKI. Perpindahan transmigran ke lahan baru telah membawa warna kehidupan yang lebih baik dan membentuk hubungan sosial melalui perayaan hari besar keagamaan, pernikahan, sunatan, dan yasinan. Pembinaan desa semakin teratur ketika para pemimpin desa membangun desa menjadi lebih maju dan mendapat penghargaan “Desa Terbaik” dari Kementerian Desa, PDT, dan Transmigrasi. Semakin membaiknya Desa Tugumulyo, pemerintah kembali membangun desa di bidang pendidikan, mulai dari tingkat dasar, menengah, atas, dan perguruan tinggi. Dengan adanya pendidikan tersebut, masyarakat transmigran dapat menikmatinya sesuai kebutuhan di era masa kini.

Artikel ini membahas jejak peninggalan Islam dan kearifan lokal di kompleks Makam Sabokingking, Palembang, yang memiliki nilai spiritual, budaya, dan sosial. Tujuannya adalah untuk memperlihatkan bagaimana makam ini menjadi titik temu antara nilai-nilai Islam dan tradisi lokal. Artikel ini juga mengulas berbagai tradisi lokal yang berkembang di sekitar makam. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif melalui studi pustaka dan observasi lapangan. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa Makam Sabokingking bukan sekadar tempat ziarah, melainkan juga ruang budaya yang memperlihatkan perpaduan harmonis antara agama dan adat. Tokoh penting dibalik Simbur Cahaya, sosok penting dalam penyebaran Islam dan pelestarian hukum adat di Sumatra Selatan. Tradisi yang berkembang di sekitar makam turut membentuk identitas budaya masyarakat setempat. Oleh karena itu, situs ini memiliki peran penting dalam pelestarian warisan budaya dan spiritual di Palembang hingga saat ini.

Abstract

This article discusses the acculturation process between Islam and adat in the oral tradition of seloko that developed among the Jambi Malay community. Seloko, as a customary expression passed down from generation to generation, not only contains cultural values, but also becomes a medium for internalizing Islamic teachings in a contextual and local form. Through a descriptive qualitative approach and literature study, this article shows that Islamic values such as justice, deliberation, obedience to God, and respect for others are deeply embedded in the philosophical and practical structure of seloko. The process of Islamization in Jambi took place peacefully and harmoniously through a cultural approach, where ulama and traditional leaders made seloko a means of da'wah and character education. The integration of customary law and Islamic law is also reflected in the use of seloko in traditional deliberation forums that unite social, religious and legal aspects.

Abstract

This article discusses the educational value and role of Ki Marogan Mosque in Palembang as a significant heritage of Islamic history and culture in South Sumatra. It was founded by a cleric named Masagus Haji Abdul Hamid bin Masagus Haji Mahmud or nicknamed Kiai Marogan in the late 19th century. This mosque not only functions as a place of worship, but also a center of education, social, cultural, and religious tourism destinations. This research uses a literature study that traces the educational value, historical journey, architectural development, and functions of the Ki Marogan Mosque from time to time. The architecture of this mosque shows the acculturation of local culture with Arabic, Indian and Chinese influences. In addition, Ki Marogan's tomb complex located in the mosque area is the main attraction in the community's spiritual pilgrimage. In the modern context, the mosque continues to adapt by utilizing digitalization for historical preservation and Islamic propagation. The results show that Ki Marogan Mosque not only acts as a religious symbol, but also as a center for preserving local values, history, and Palembang cultural identity.

Abstract

One of the strengths of Islam is the abundance of historical artifacts and research that we can find. In this regard, Islam provides guidance and teachings on healing using natural ingredients and prayers based on the Holy Qur`an. In this article, one form of traditional medicine is found in the Al-Mujarobat manuscript. This manuscript explains the meaning of a good life from the perspective of Islamic teachings, with the most interesting aspect being the discussion of traditional medicine along with its prayer guidelines. The research in this article uses a historical research method that includes heuristics, source criticism, interpretation, and historiography. The analysis in this article also involves philological studies as a specialized field in manuscript analysis. The findings of this research indicate that Islamic medical guidelines always follow the instructions of the Qur`an in seeking healing, performing therapy, and consuming medications.

Abstract

Simbur Cahaya manuscript is a customary law originating from the government of Palembang Lamo, precisely in the 17th century, and was applied in the interior regions of Palembang. During the Dutch colonial period, the Dutch Assistant Resident Van den Bossche successfully completed the codification of the Simbur Cahaya law in 1854. This law was subsequently revised multiple times, including in the years 1862, 1873, 1875, 1876, 1890, 1894, 1897, 1913, 1922, 1927, and 1939. An analysis using artificial intelligence (AI) has revealed a unique feature of this manuscript: all legal violations in society were sanctioned with fines in the form of ringgit. This paper aims to explore how ringgit was used as a fine to punish members of society who violated the rules. The focus of this study is to trace how ringgit was applied as a sanction for legal offenders. The research employs historical research methods, including heuristics, source criticism, interpretation, and historiography, with the primary source being the Simbur Cahaya manuscript codified by the Dutch in 1922 and 1927. The novelty of this study lies in the use of artificial intelligence to interpret the Simbur Cahaya manuscript as the primary source of research. Based on the analysis, it was found that all social punishments recorded in the Simbur Cahaya manuscript for individuals who violated the rules were always accompanied by fines in the form of ringgit, ranging from a minimum of half a ringgit to a maximum of six ringgit.

Abstract

This study analyzes the comparison of English education systems in Indonesia and South Korea through a quantitative approach, focusing on three main aspects: curriculum, teaching methods, and learning outcomes. Data was collected through analysis of curriculum documents, international test scores (PISA, TOEFL iBT, EF EPI), national exam results (UN Indonesia and CSAT Korea), and structured questionnaires involving 800 students and 200 teachers from both countries. The results showed a significant difference in the integration of curriculum technology (χ² = 24.7; p < 0.001), where South Korea allocated 85% of curriculum content to digital platforms, while Indonesia only 35%. Teaching methods in Indonesia are still dominated by the grammar-translation approach (68% of teachers), while South Korea adopts task-based learning (89% of teachers) which is positively correlated with student motivation (r = 0.62; p < 0.01). South Korean students' learning outcomes are consistently superior, with an average EF EPI score of 611 compared to 492 in Indonesia (t = 8.34; p < 0.001), especially in speaking skills (∆ = 15.3 points). Regression analysis revealed that 45% of the variance in learning outcomes in South Korea was influenced by technology (β = 0.52; p < 0.001), while in Indonesia, teacher quality was the main predictor (β = 0.38; p < 0.05). These findings confirm that disparities in learning outcomes are not only due to curriculum differences, but also structural factors such as infrastructure gaps, teacher capacity, and access to technology. The research recommends increasing digital-based teacher training and equitable distribution of infrastructure in Indonesia, as well as reforming the hagwon system in South Korea to reduce social inequality. The implications of this study are evidence-based policy contributions for the development of inclusive and adaptive language education in the digital era.
