Abstract

This study aims to: 1) analyze the influence of service quality provided by the Sidrap Police Department on the satisfaction of SKCK (Police Record Certificate) applicants; 2) analyze the service quality factors that most dominantly influence the level of satisfaction of SKCK applicants at the Sidrap Police Department; 3) analyze the obstacles faced in maintaining service quality during the SKCK application process at the Sidrap Police Department, and how to overcome them to improve applicant satisfaction. This is a quantitative study conducted at the Sidrap Police Department. The study was designed using a descriptive and explanatory quantitative research design. The population of this study was all Police Record Certificate (SKCK) applicants who applied for SKCKs at the Sidrap Police Department between January 2024 and October 2025. The study sample was drawn at 20%. Data collection techniques used were questionnaires, interviews, and documentation. The collected data were then analyzed using descriptive analysis and validity and reliability tests. The results of this study indicate that: 1) The quality of service provided by the Sidrap Police has a significant influence on the satisfaction of SKCK applicants. Based on an analysis of five dimensions of service quality—reliability, responsiveness, assurance, empathy, and physical evidence—all aspects obtained an average score above 4.0, indicating a high level of satisfaction. 2) The most dominant factors influencing SKCK applicant satisfaction at the Sidrap Police are the friendly and attentive attitude of officers, as well as their alertness and quick response. 3) SKCK processing services at the Sidrap Police still face various obstacles that affect service quality and applicant satisfaction. The main obstacles include long queues, unclear information, limited human resources, technical problems, and a lack of adequate physical facilities.

Abstract

The objective of this study is to analyze the effectiveness of animated video media as a public communication tool in community guidance programs conducted by the Sidenreng Rappang Police to address adolescent pathological behavior. The method used was descriptive qualitative with data collection techniques through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation studies involving adolescents, parents, teachers, community leaders, and police officers. The findings reveal that animated videos are highly effective in: (1) attracting attention and enhancing adolescents' understanding of the dangers of pathological behaviors such as drug abuse and brawls, due to their visual, narrative, and relevant format; (2) opening spaces for interactive dialogue among police, schools, and families, which strengthens message internalization; and (3) contributing to a tangible decrease in student brawl cases. This success is driven by a humanist and educative communication approach, contrasting with previous repressive methods. In conclusion, animated video media is proven to be an effective and innovative public communication tool for the police in preventing adolescent pathological behavior, with the note that it needs to be combined with face-to-face approaches to reach all community segments.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of the Integrated Hajj Information and Computerization System (SISKOHAT) in the implementation of Hajj services in Sidenreng Rappang Regency. The analysis focuses on three aspects: the implementation of the system in improving service productivity and quality, the responsiveness and responsibility of officers in managing digital-based services, and the accountability and fairness of public services through SISKOHAT. This research employs a descriptive qualitative method with in-depth interviews involving 20 informants, consisting of SISKOHAT operators, prospective Hajj pilgrims, and other related stakeholders. The findings indicate that SISKOHAT makes a significant contribution to accelerating administrative processes, minimizing data input errors, and enhancing service transparency. However, the system’s effectiveness remains limited by technical constraints, such as network disruptions, inadequate facilities and infrastructure, and low technological literacy among some officers and pilgrims. The study highlights the need to strengthen human resource capacity, improve technological infrastructure, and reinforce monitoring mechanisms to ensure effectiveness, accountability, and fairness in digital-based Hajj administration at the regional level.

Abstract

Poverty remains one of the fundamental challenges faced by local governments, including Sidenreng Rappang Regency. This study aims to analyze local government strategies in addressing poverty through social assistance programs, community empowerment initiatives, as well as the role of local institutions and implementation barriers. The research employs a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collected through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation. Data analysis was conducted thematically with the support of NVivo software to identify patterns, themes, and relationships among actors involved in poverty alleviation efforts.The findings indicate that local government strategies comprise two main approaches. First, short-term strategies involve the distribution of social assistance such as Non-Cash Food Assistance (BPNT), the Family Hope Program (PKH), food aid, and other emergency interventions to reduce the burden on poor households. Second, long-term strategies focus on community empowerment through skills training, strengthening the agricultural and micro, small, and medium enterprise (MSME) sectors, mentoring of business groups, and enhancing productive economic capacity. The Social Affairs Office acts as the coordinating body for program implementation, while village governments serve as strategic partners in data collection, facilitation, and ensuring community participation.This study also identifies several obstacles, including inaccuracies in beneficiary data, low community motivation to participate in empowerment programs, limited budget availability, and weak cross-sectoral coordination. These findings underscore the need to strengthen data governance, increase community participation, and conduct continuous evaluation to ensure the effectiveness of poverty alleviation strategies.

Abstract

Village financial management faces challenges of transparency, accountability, and equitable distribution of development benefits despite being regulated in Permendagri No. 20 of 2018. This study aims to analyze the financial management of Sipodeceng Village based on the Rais-MR3 Model. This study uses a qualitative approach with descriptive methods using interviews, observations, and documentation, and is analyzed using NVivo. The results show: (1) the Management dimension has followed formal procedures but community participation is limited; (2) the Regulation dimension has an adequate legal basis but information disclosure is not yet optimal; (3) the Responsibility dimension shows that the division of tasks among officials is running well but social accountability is not yet evenly distributed; (4) the Result dimension has a positive impact on infrastructure but the equitable distribution of benefits still needs to be improved. The financial governance of Sipodeceng Village is in a compliance-based condition that requires strengthening transparency, community participation, and equitable development to achieve good governance. Practical implications include strengthening the capacity of officials through technical training, digitizing the village financial information system, and improving mechanisms for public participation in budget planning and oversight.

Abstract

This research examines the role of village government, community participation, and their influences on development planning in Timoreng Panua village, Panca Rijang subdistrict, Sidenreng Rappang District. This research employed descriptive quantitative method, and involved samples of 55 households out of population of 745 households. The samples were taken randomly by using Yount formula 10%. Data was collected through observation, questionnaires and documentation, and analysed through tabulation, frequency and linear regression analysis by using SPSS 21.0 for Windows. The results show that the percentage of the role of village government contributing to the Timoreng Panua village development planning reached 52,4% (considered as ‘sufficient involvement’), while the percentage of community participation to the development planning is 77% (considered as ‘enthusiastic’). Together, the joint roles of village government and community partipation contributed to village development planning with a figure of 78,4%, categorized as ‘playing a significant role’.  Keywords: community participation, government role, development planning

Abstract

ABSTRAK                                                                            Usaha Menengah Kecil Mikro (UMKM) kuliner memiliki peran penting dalam memperkuat perekonomian lokal, namun sebagian besar masih menghadapi kendala dalam promosi digital dan keterjangkauan pasar. Permasalahan utama yang dihadapi pelaku UMKM kuliner di Desa Pattondon Salu, Kecamatan Dua Pitue, Kabupaten Sidenreng Rappang adalah rendahnya kemampuan promosi digital dan keterbatasan pemanfaatan media sosial sebagai sarana pemasaran. Kondisi ini berdampak pada rendahnya jangkauan pasar dan daya saing produk kuliner lokal. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kapasitas pelaku UMKM dalam mengelola promosi digital melalui pendampingan desain konten, pendaftaran usaha di Google Maps, serta manajemen akun media sosial. Metode pelaksanaan meliputi tahapan observasi awal, pelatihan interaktif, dan pendampingan berkelanjutan dengan pendekatan partisipatif. Mitra sasaran kegiatan ini adalah 10 pelaku UMKM kuliner di Desa Pattondon Salu yang aktif memproduksi dan menjual produk makanan lokal. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dalam keterampilan desain konten digital (rata-rata peningkatan 65%), seluruh UMKM telah terdaftar di Google Maps, serta peningkatan visibilitas dan interaksi pada media sosial sebesar 50%. Kegiatan ini membuktikan bahwa pendampingan berbasis digital mampu memperkuat promosi produk lokal dan memperluas akses pasar bagi UMKM desa. Kata kunci: UMKM kuliner; promosi digital; media sosial; Google Maps; pemberdayaan masyarakat ABSTRACTMicro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in the culinary sector play a crucial role in strengthening the local economy; however, most still face challenges in digital promotion and market accessibility. The main problem faced by culinary micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in Pattondon Salu Village, Dua Pitue Sub-district, Sidenreng Rappang Regency is the limited ability to promote their products digitally and to utilize social media as a marketing tool. This condition has resulted in low market reach and competitiveness of local culinary products. This community service program aims to enhance the digital promotion capacity of MSME actors through training in content design, business registration on Google Maps, and social media management. The implementation method consisted of several stages, including preliminary observation, interactive training, and continuous mentoring using a participatory approach. The target partners were ten culinary MSME owners actively engaged in producing and selling local food products in Pattondon Salu Village. The results show a significant improvement in participants’ digital content design skills (average increase of 65%), all MSMEs successfully registered on Google Maps, and an average 50% growth in social media visibility and engagement. This program demonstrates that digital-based mentoring can effectively strengthen local product promotion and expand market access for rural MSMEs. Keywords: culinary MSMEs; digital promotion; social media; Google Maps; community empowerment

Abstract

The issue of household organic waste and the high cost of fish feed remains a significant challenge in Kulo Village. Limited community knowledge and skills in managing organic waste with economic value exacerbate this situation. A training program on Black Soldier Fly (BSF) larvae cultivation using household organic waste was implemented as a solution to both the waste problem and the rising cost of fish feed in Kulo Village, Sidenreng Rappang Regency. This initiative targeted the Anugrah Fishery Group (Pokdakan), which lacks expertise in organic waste management through BSF maggot bioconversion. This community empowerment program aimed to enhance the knowledge and skills of Pokdakan Anugrah in cultivating BSF maggots by utilizing household organic waste as a waste management solution and an alternative fish feed source. The methodology consisted of three phases: (1) outreach and introductory instruction on waste management and maggot cultivation, (2) hands-on practice in constructing BSF egg-laying cages and media, and (3) evaluation through pre-test and post-test assessments. The evaluation results indicated a substantial improvement in participants’ understanding, increasing from an initial 35.92% to 93.30% across various aspects, including the role of maggots as decomposers, the use of “kasgot” as fertilizer, maggots as alternative fish feed, the BSF life cycle, and cultivation techniques. The program demonstrated the potential to reduce household organic waste volume, lower fish farming production costs, and create new economic opportunities through the sale of maggots and organic fertilizer. The training activities significantly improved participant comprehension. Post-test scores increased to 90.62%–95.25% compared to the pre-test scores of 33.50%–38.50%. Participants directly practiced the fermentation of BSF maggot substrate using 10–15 kg of organic waste, constructed multi-level bioponds, BSF fly cages, and egg-laying media. This program not only has the potential to reduce household organic waste but also enables the production of highly nutritious alternative fish feed, thus reducing aquaculture production costs by 60–70% compared to conventional feed. Additionally, new economic opportunities may emerge through the sale of fresh/dried maggots and kasgot organic fertilizer. Overall, this training successfully empowered Pokdakan Anugrah in a sustainable manner, supported environmental management efforts, and fostered the development of a waste-based creative economy.

Abstract

The declining interest of younger generations in the agricultural sector has become a major challenge to ensuring sustainable farmer regeneration in Indonesia. Therefore, introducing agriculture at an early age through experiential learning is essential to foster positive attitudes toward farming. This community service program aimed to strengthen elementary school students' agricultural appreciation through practice-based plant cultivation education. The program was implemented at SD Negeri 3 Betao, Sidenreng Rappang Regency, involving 23 students. A participatory approach based on the learning by doing concept was applied through three stages: preparation, educational sessions integrated with hands-on plant cultivation activities, and monitoring and evaluation. Program effectiveness was assessed using pre-test and post-test questionnaires to measure changes in students' agricultural appreciation. The results demonstrated active participation from all students throughout the program. The average pre-test score increased from 52.1% to 92.6% in the post-test, representing an average improvement of 40.5%. Improvements were observed across all evaluation indicators, including enjoyment of planting activities, willingness to care for plants, appreciation of the farming profession, responsibility for maintaining planted crops, and interest in participating in future agricultural activities. These findings indicate that practice-based plant cultivation education is an effective approach to fostering agricultural appreciation among elementary school students and may contribute to supporting future farmer regeneration.

Abstract

The phenomenon of bullying in elementary schools increasingly threatens the learning environment and hinders early childhood character development. This Community Service (PKM) program aims to implement a bullying prevention model based on Bugis local wisdom, specifically the 'Tudang Sipulung' Focus Group Discussion to support the realization of SMART Schools (Maju, Aman, Ramah, dan Tangguh). The activity was conducted at SD Negeri 5 and SD Negeri 7 Watang Sidenreng, involving 60 participants including school principals, teachers, school committee members, and student representatives. The PKM methodology utilized Community Education, Training, and Advocacy approaches structured through socialization, workshops, and the 'Tudang Sipulung' dialogue forum. Program evaluation was conducted using pre- and post-tests to measure participant understanding and assess the establishment of a child-friendly school integrity pact. The results demonstrated a 34.1% increase in participants' understanding of bullying prevention, the establishment of 'Duta SMART' (Polite, Humanizing, Adaptive, Friendly, and Resilient) as peer educators, and the signing of the SMART School Integrity Pact. The integration of Tudang Sipulung values ​​(sipakatau, sipakalebbi, and sipakainge) through direct interaction has proven effective in creating a safe, inclusive, and conducive elementary school environment that supports character education.
