Abstract

Kembang Kerang Village, located in the East Lombok Regency of West Nusa Tenggara's Aikmel District, has a wealth of agricultural potential, particularly in the plantation industry, specifically in the coconut commodities. A frequently underutilized byproduct that pollutes the environment is coconut water. By teaching and enabling community members—particularly organizations like PKK and KWT—to produce Nata de Coco from coconut water, this article offers an innovative alternative. The workshop, which took place in the village of Kembang Kerang, focused on how important it is to use discarded coconut water to lessen environmental damage and boost economic value. The training approach guarantees that participants may independently create and market the product through socialization, counseling, practice, and direct help in the creation of Nata de Coco. The following article guides readers through the entire process of creating Nata de Coco, from preparing the beginning to packaging. Rich in fiber and healthy nutrients, what follows Nata de Coco is made. To conclude, community creativity and abilities in turning coconut water waste into a viable economic venture have to be enhanced through training and outreach programs. A strong response to the training session's enthusiasm was displayed by the participants, which created opportunities for the village's coconut products to thrive sustainably and economically.

Abstract

Socialization of the Role of Face-Based Communication in Improving Students at SDN Alalak Utara 3 in Banjarmasin. Effective communication is used by teachers and all existing teaching staff to provide direction to students to obey and implement the system of school regulations so that communication between students and teachers can be carried out through an effective face-based communication method in improving students at North Alalak Elementary School in Banjarmasin Therefore, as a community service team, lecturers from the economics faculty and the teaching and education faculty at Uniska Banjarmasin have carried out school outreach at SDN Alalak Utara 3 in Banjarmasin using several existing methods, namely a persuasive approach method, a comprehensive approach method for the school. and the method of providing motivation to students through behavior-oriented counseling guidance methods through competencies and indicators of competency achievement. The results of community service are: After carrying out community service it can be concluded as follows: The students in the AKM (Minimum Competition Assessment) class have experienced an increase of around 32%, where before socialization of class AKM was 35% and after socialization of class AKM was 37%, it can be concluded that the role of face-based communication is very effective in improving students at SDN Alalak Utara 3 Banjarmasin, especially providing positive things in improving the process of learning and teaching.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to to find out the significant effect of using Instagram assisted vlogging which was focused on speaking. The research design in this research was quasi experimental research. The instrument to collect the data was test by oral test. The strategy taken sample used is purposive sampling to determine the control and the experimental class. In addition, there were pre-test, treatment or teaching and post-test in both of the class. It was conducted at the twelfth grade of MAN 1 Kota Bengkulu. The result showed that are average value of pre-test in the control class was 36,80, while the experimental class was 42,40. Then the average value of the post-test control class 44,00, while the experimental class is 60,27. Based on the result hypothesis testing shows that the value of Sig. (2 tailed) obtained is 0.49 (0.49 > 0.05). This is indicated that Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. It can be concluded that there is a significant effect on the using Instagram assisted Vlogging in improving students’ speaking ability.

Abstract

Universitas Muslim Nusantara Al-Washliyah merupakan salah satu universitas swasta di kota Medan. Salah satu mata kuliah mahasiswa  semester 3 di prodi ini adalah penulisan karya ilmiah. Dalam hal penulisan karya ilmiah kebanyakan para mahasiswa tersbut mengalami kesulitan khususnya penulisan karya ilmiah berbahasa Inggris. Tim pengabdi melakukan sosialisasi kepada mahassiswa semester 3 prodi Agrobisnis dalam hal pelatihan tata tulis karya ilmiah berbahasa Inggris. Karya tulis merupakan uraian atau laporan tentang kegiatan, temuan atau informasi yang berasal dari data primer dan atau data sekunder yang disajikan untuk tujuan tertentu. Informasi tersebut dapat berasal dari data primer, yaitu didapatkan dan dikumpulkan langsung dan belum diolah dari sumbernya, seperti melalui pengujian (tes), kuisioner, wawancara, pengamatan (observasi). Semua kriteria dalam penulisan karya ilmiah ini diajarkan dalam bentuk bahasa Inggris. Hasil yang diperoleh pada kegiatan pengadian ini yaitu mahasiswa lebih memahami tentang penulisan karya ilmiah khususnya dalam bentuk bahasa Inggris. Selain itu mahasiswa mendapatkan kosakata baru dalam bentuk bahasa Inggris yang mendukung mahasiswa dalam penulisan tata tulis karya ilmiah.

Abstract

The evaluation procedure for Student Creativity Program (PKM) projects necessitates an objective and efficient methodology to analyze several aspects. This project seeks to establish an evaluation system utilizing the Weighted Product (WP) approach to deliver transparent and quantifiable rankings of proposals. The review utilized five primary criteria: thematic relevance, innovation and creativity, technological feasibility, potential impact, and program sustainability, each assigned predetermined weights. Data from ten proposals were evaluated utilizing the WP approach, encompassing the phases of decision matrix normalization, preference value computation, and ranking. The findings indicated that Proposal 4 garnered the highest preference value (4.939), succeeded by Proposal 5 (4.889) and Proposal 2 (4.876), establishing them as the foremost recommendations for funding. The WP technique shown efficacy in improving the efficiency and impartiality of the PKM proposal selection process. This method's implementation can be utilized in other programs with comparable assessment difficulties

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh masalah keterampilan berpikir tingkat tinggi mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Agama Islam Fakultas Agama Islam Universitas Islam Riau. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis pengaruh model project based learning terhadap keterampilan berpikir tingkat tinggi mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Agama Islam Universitas Islam Riau. Jenis penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif dengan pendekatan kolerasi. Penelitian ini melibatkan 52 sampel. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan angket, dokumentasi dan teknik analisis data menggunakan regresi linier sederhana. Adapun hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh model project based learning terhadap keterampilan berpikir tingkat tinggi mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Agama Islam Universitas Islam Riau dengan nilai signifikansi 0,000. Model Project Based Learning berpengaruh terhadap keterampilan berpikir tingkat tinggi mahasiswa Program Studi pendidikan Agama Islam Universitas Islam Riau. Abstract

Diantara kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat yang dilakukan oleh mahasiswa KKN Institut KH. Ahmad Sanusi yaitu bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterlibatan dan kualitas pembelajaran agama bagi anak-anak, ibu-ibu, serta memberikan pelatihan dan pemahaman kepada guru ngaji di Desa Gegerbitung. Metode yang digunakan meliputi observasi, wawancara, evaluasi, serta pelatihan bagi guru ngaji untuk memperkuat keterampilan mengajar mereka. Observasi dilakukan untuk memantau dinamika pengajian dan interaksi peserta, sedangkan wawancara digunakan untuk mengumpulkan umpan balik dan mengidentifikasi kebutuhan peserta terkait pembelajaran agama. Pelatihan untuk guru ngaji dirancang untuk memberikan mereka pemahaman yang lebih mendalam terkait strategi pembelajaran agama yang efektif. Evaluasi dilakukan untuk menilai efektivitas metode yang diterapkan dan mengukur perubahan dalam pemahaman serta partisipasi peserta. Hasil dari pengabdian ini menunjukkan peningkatan yang signifikan dalam antusiasme peserta, pemahaman materi pengajian, serta keterampilan mengajar guru ngaji, sehingga menciptakan lingkungan belajar yang lebih interaktif dan bermakna di Desa Gegerbitung.

Abstract

This research investigates learning motivation factors on the English vocabulary mastery of seventh-grade students at Hidayatul Qomariyah Islamic Boarding School. Vocabulary mastery is critical for effective communication, particularly in learning English as a foreign language. This study explores how both intrinsic and extrinsic motivations influence students’ success in acquiring vocabulary. A qualitative approach was employed, using surveys and interviews to gather data from students and teachers. The findings reveal that intrinsic motivations, such as personal interest in mastering the language, significantly enhance students' engagement and persistence in learning. Extrinsic factors, including teacher support and the classroom environment, also play a vital role in encouraging students to improve their vocabulary. However, challenges such as limited access to digital resources and difficulties with pronunciation and grammar hinder their learning process. The study also found that interactive methods like singing and repetition improve vocabulary retention and motivation. Students who engage with audiovisual media and popular culture, such as English songs, show higher motivation to learn English. This research suggests that schools should provide better access to digital learning tools and create more engaging, interactive teaching methods to boost motivation and vocabulary acquisition. Additionally, a stronger focus on motivation-based teaching strategies may lead to better vocabulary outcomes for students, particularly in rural or less technologically equipped environments. Abstract

Writing skills are one of the basic competencies that are important for students, but there are often difficulties that become challenges for students. This research aims to determine whether there are significant differences in students' writing skills using the Picture Word Inductive Model (PWIM) in class VII students at SMPN 14 Bengkulu City. PWIM, as stated by Calhoun (1999), is designed to teach reading, writing and language system skills in an integrated manner by utilizing pictures and words as teaching aids. This research method uses a quasi-experimental approach to assess the significance of using PWIM in improving students' writing skills. This research involved two groups, namely an experimental class taught using PWIM and a control class taught using conventional methods, and was carried out in the 2023/2024 academic year. The results of the analysis show that there is a significant average difference between the two groups, where students taught with PWIM show better improvement in writing skills than students taught with conventional methods. Based on these results, it can be concluded that PWIM is effective in improving the writing skills of class VII students at SMPN 14 Bengkulu City.

Abstract

Data menunjukkan bahwa transmisi virus ini pada perempuan memiliki karakteristik yang berbeda dan dapat dianggap sebagai masalah dominan dalam penyebaran HIV, menurut laporan dari Joint United Nations Programme on HIV/AIDS (UNAIDS), pada tahun 2020, sekitar 16,2 juta perempuan hidup dengan HIV di seluruh dunia. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis transmisi HIV dominan pada perempuan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian deskriptif analitik. yang dilakukan di Rumah Sakit Umum Pusat Dr. Kariadi di Jawa Tengah pada 55 perempuan yang terinfeksi HIV antara bulan Desember 2019 sampai Maret 2020. Semua responden adalah perempuan yang sudah dinyatakan positif terinfeksi HIV, telah terkonfirmasi. Hasil penelitian ini melaporkan bahwa transmisi HIV pada perempuan adalah 98,2%. Transmisi HIV yang dominan pada perempuan melalui hubungan seksual dapat dijelaskan oleh beberapa alasan antara lain kontak mukosal, perbedaan biologis, dan ketidaksetaraan gender.Kesimpulan yang dapat dilaporkan pada penelitian ini adalah transmisi HIV yang paling dominan pada perempuan adalah melalui hubungan seksual.
