Abstract

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) institutions have a strategic role in local economic growth. However, many MSME groups in rural areas do not yet have adequate organizational structures, which results in weak coordination and business productivity. This community service aims to apply concepts in organizational theory to improve the effectiveness of MSME institutions in Sukamaju Village. The organizational theories used include contingency structure theory and open systems, which are applied in the form of training, group discussions, and direct assistance. The results show an increase in the ability of MSME members to understand the importance of role division, communication flow, and adaptability to market changes. This service recommends further implementation in the form of in-depth training per field of organizational function

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the impact of innovative CSR management on sustainable business performance. The research examines 16 coal mining companies and 16 palm oil plantation companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX), while considering the mediating roles of green human resources and respect for human rights. A quantitative approach was employed with publicly listed companies as the unit of analysis, and data were collected through structured document-based observation derived from corporate annual reports and sustainability reports. Linear regression analysis using SPSS software indicates that innovative CSR management does not yet have a significant direct effect on sustainable business performance. However, CSR is found to have a positive and significant influence on respect for human rights, highlighting its role in internalizing ethical values at the organizational level. Simultaneous testing results show that the combination of CSR and human resources explains only a small proportion of the variance in sustainable business, with human resources demonstrating a significant but negative partial effect. These findings suggest that the impact of CSR on business sustainability is indirect and requires stronger mediating mechanisms. This study contributes theoretically to the development of mediation-based CSR models and offers practical implications for companies in designing more integrated CSR strategies to support sustainable business practices.

Abstract

This community service initiative was motivated by the high frequency of gadget use among vocational high school students, which has led to a decline in study discipline, self-control, academic responsibility, and digital ethics. This issue is not only related to technology but also concerns the character development of students in the digital age. The focus of this service activity is to guide students in managing their gadget use through a digital self-management approach at SMK Sasmita Jaya 2 Pamulang. The objectives of this activity are to enhance students’ understanding of healthy gadget use, foster more productive gadget usage habits, and strengthen students’ discipline and sense of responsibility. The methods used include participatory and educational approaches, as well as guidance through four stages: initial assessment, digital literacy education, digital self-management practice, and monitoring and reflection on behavioral changes. Data was collected through observation, simple questionnaires, reflection journals, and group discussions, and was then analyzed using qualitative descriptive methods. The results of the program indicate positive initial behavioral changes, marked by increased student awareness regarding the need to limit gadget use, reduced use for non-academic activities, improved focus on learning, and a growing sense of responsibility in completing assignments. Additionally, students began to demonstrate better digital communication etiquette and initial ability to manage technological distractions. Thus, this PKM activity is effective in building a foundation of positive digital character among vocational high school students through systematic and sustained mentoring.

Abstract

Introduction: Strengthening the people’s economy is a key strategy in sustainable village development to reduce regional disparities and improve community welfare. The Merah Putih Village Cooperative (KDMP) serves as an institutional instrument to mobilize local economic potential through participation and independence. However, uneven institutional capacity, varying policy support, and limited integration with the local economy hinder its effectiveness. This study examines how institutional strategies and regional policies can optimize the role of village cooperatives. This study contributes by identifying a governance mechanism linking policy orchestration, capacity building, and ecosystem integration, and by proposing a replicable people-centered collaborative governance model that specifies actor roles, coordination mechanisms, and policy leverage points in the KDMP context. Methods: The study uses a qualitative descriptive-explanatory approach based on data from ten informants from five KDMPs and five local village government stakeholders. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, documentation, and supporting questionnaires, and analyzed using thematic analysis to identify recurring institutional and policy patterns. Results: The findings indicate that although KDMPs have formal institutional structures, their effectiveness depends on managerial capacity, policy coordination, and integration within local economic networks. Novelty: These results suggest that strengthening cooperative performance requires not only improved governance but also alignment with the broader economic ecosystem. Contribution: This study offers theoretical insights into enhancing collaborative governance and practical guidance through measurable policy and institutional interventions.

Abstract

The output of chili in Tanjung Pering Village remains low due to diminished soil fertility resulting from the extensive application of synthetic chemicals in cultivation. The elevated incidence of pests and diseases contributes to the inadequate and suboptimal growth and development of plants. The objective of the service activity is to implement sustainable and eco-friendly growing techniques utilizing biological agents. The biological agents utilized include the fungus Trichoderma sp., Beauveria sp., and various other helpful suppressive microbiomes. Biocompost application with biological agents is executed by pouring and directly irrigating the plant's root zone. Post-application observations are systematically performed 24 hours after application, followed by intervals of 14 days. Technical discussions were conducted to enhance farmers' comprehension of the application procedures employed. The application findings indicate enhanced plant growth, characterized by denser foliage, vibrant dark green leaves, an increased quantity of flowers and fruit pistils, and a reduced incidence of insect and disease infestations. The farmers' enthusiasm for participation in each level of the program was clearly visible. The utilization of eco-friendly technology indicates compatibility with the agroecosystem characteristics of the land. In summary, the cultivation technology of chili plants with biological agents has the capacity to enhance productivity and can be sustainably used by farmers

Abstract

The tradition of migration in Minangkabau society is not only a form of economic mobility, but also an expression of a complex and structured cultural value system. Migration opens up an interesting space for cultural transformation to be studied anthropologically, especially in the context of how Minang identity, social structure, and traditional values are managed outside their homeland. This study aims to analyze the cultural transformation of the Minangkabau in diaspora regions through a cultural anthropological approach using a literature review method. Data sources were obtained from scientific journals, reference books, and academic publications related to the Minangkabau diaspora. The findings indicate that despite shifts in cultural forms due to urbanization and globalization, Minang communities in diaspora continue to uphold core values such as matrilineal kinship, solidarity, and the interplay between traditional customs and Islam. Adaptation occurs through community organizations, cultural economic practices, and the use of digital media as spaces for transmitting values. Younger generations of the diaspora play a crucial role in maintaining identity continuity through contextual cultural innovations. These findings emphasize that Minangkabau culture is not static but capable of surviving and transforming with dignity in new social spaces. This study is relevant for strengthening strategies to preserve local culture in the context of migration and modernity.

Abstract

The increasing demand for environmentally friendly agricultural systems presents challenges and opportunities for the development of sustainable rice cultivation in the lowland swamps of South Sumatra. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of biohara in increasing the resistance of the Ciherang rice variety to biotic and abiotic stress during the vegetative phase. Biohara itself is made from various materials such as biofertilizer and animal manure compost. This application is the first study in a lowland swamp ecosystem. The research location is in the Ogan Ilir area of Kotadaro I Village. This initial study was conducted to observe pest and disease attacks as well as growth factors such as the number of tillers and plant height. The results of the study showed a significant increase in plant growth, with an average of 44.88 cm and 38 tillers per 10 clumps. Observations of pest attacks found 11 species of insect pests from four orders, but their populations remained under control. The intensity of leaf blast disease increased gradually but remained within tolerable limits. Nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium content in the soil increased without causing chemical imbalance. This study shows that the Biohara-based approach is not only environmentally friendly but also effective in maintaining the stability of agricultural ecosystems in vulnerable peat swamp ecosystems. This study reinforces the potential of environmentally friendly cultivation technologies as a sustainable alternative in peat swamp ecosystems.
