Abstract

This study attempts to understand how industrial development strategies are closely related to other economic sectors. Like building a house, industrialization is an important foundation country or region's economy, from relying on agriculture to focusing more on industry. Like an ecosystem, each sector needs and influences each other. Emphasizing the importance of cooperation between sectors, such as farmers who provide raw materials for the food industry, or technology companies that create innovations to increase industrial efficiency. In addition, economic diversification, namely developing various types of industries, is also important so that the economy does not rely too much on one sector. Abstract

Regional development strategies are one of the important steps to improve the economy and distribution of development in various regions. An industry approach that focuses on leading sectors has proven to be an efficient way to maximize the local potential found in each region. This research aims to discuss regional development strategies with emphasis on the use of leading sectors as the main driver of industrialization. This study uses a qualitative approach with the literature review method to explore various studies, reports, and related secondary data. It is known that selecting the appropriate leading sectors, supported by flexible policies and cooperation between the government, industry players, and the community, can increase economic value, create jobs, and strengthen regional competitiveness in a sustainable manner. With a focused and local potential-based approach, industrialization not only accelerates economic growth, but also strengthens the region's economic structure for the long term.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the factors influencing consumer purchasing decisions for artificial flower products, marketing strategies used, and challenges in production and distribution. A descriptive qualitative approach was applied through a case study on the Fake Flower Plastic business. Data were collected via interviews, observations, documentation, and questionnaires. The results indicate that product quality, aesthetics, pricing, and social media influence significantly affect consumer decisions. Digital marketing via social media and influencer collaboration proved effective in reaching target consumers. Production challenges include raw material efficiency and sustainability, while distribution is hindered by logistics and packaging issues. The study recommends improving product quality, design innovation, and strengthening marketing and distribution strategies to support sustainable business growth.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the influence of digital marketing and brand awareness on consumer purchase intention toward the Subeng Klasik product. A quantitative approach was employed using a questionnaire distributed to respondents. The data were analyzed using multiple linear regression. The results indicate that both digital marketing and brand awareness have a positive and significant effect on purchase intention when tested partially. However, brand awareness exerts a greater influence than digital marketing. Simultaneously, both variables also significantly and positively affect purchase intention. These findings imply that strengthening brand awareness strategies should be a primary focus in developing local product marketing such as Subeng Klasik.

Abstract

This study explores the role of industrialization strategies in supporting macroeconomic growth in Surabaya City. As an economic hub in eastern Indonesia, Surabaya has demonstrated solid economic performance, with a growth rate reaching 5.76 percent in 2024. The study highlights the contribution of the manufacturing sector to the Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP), accounting for 19.07 percent, and the dominant role of the wholesale and retail trade sector, contributing 27.75 percent. A descriptive quantitative approach was used, utilizing secondary data from official institutions such as the Central Statistics Agency. The findings indicate that industrialization plays a vital role in strengthening the city’s economic structure through value creation, employment generation, and regional competitiveness. The study recommends a more integrated industrialization strategy aligned with innovation policies, human capital development, and multi-sector collaboration. Such an approach is essential to reinforce Surabaya’s inclusive and sustainable macroeconomic foundation. Keywords: industrialization; macroeconomy; Surabaya; GRDP; economic growth

Abstract

This study investigates the combined and interactive effect of Market Orientation, Entrepreneurial Orientation, and Technology Orientation on the business performance of manufacturing Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in Indonesia. Employing a systematic literature review approach, the research integrates the conclusions of 75 relevant academic journal articles and industry reports. A method of narrative synthesis was utilized to interpret the relationships between these strategic orientations and firm performance. The findings reveal that all three orientations exert a meaningful and positive impact on SME performance. Entrepreneurial Orientation was identified as the key catalyst for innovation, Market Orientation as fundamental for achieving profitability, and Technology Orientation as a critical accelerator. However, the most profound contribution stems from the synergistic power of combining all three, which fosters a sustainable competitive advantage. Theoretically, this study enriches the current understanding of dynamic capabilities, demonstrating how they emerge from the internal orchestration of strategies to navigate turbulent market conditions. From a practical standpoint, it highlights the necessity for SMEs to transition from a siloed approach to cultivating an integrated portfolio of capabilities spanning market responsiveness, innovation, and technology. Furthermore, it recommends that government support shifts towards providing holistic, ecosystem-based programs rather than isolated technical training.

Abstract

Industrialization has been a major driver in Indonesia’s transition from an agrarian to a modern economy. Its contribution to productivity growth, job creation, and economic diversification makes it a strategic component of national development. The integration between industry and other sectors such as agriculture, services, trade, and labor proves essential in strengthening competitiveness and achieving inclusive growth. Findings indicate that despite its potential, industrialization in Indonesia still faces challenges such as import dependency, limited skilled labor, and regional disparities. Therefore, future industrial strategies should focus on enhancing sectoral linkages, promoting equitable development, and improving human capital and infrastructure capacity to support sustainable economic growth.

Abstract

This assignment is compiled to fulfill the Entrepreneurship Application course which aims to equip students with basic skills in designing, developing, and implementing innovative and sustainable business ideas. In compiling this assignment, the author identifies business opportunities, designs business models, and analyzes the marketing, financial, and operational aspects of the chosen business idea. Through an applicative approach, this assignment also integrates entrepreneurship theory with field practice, so that it can improve students' understanding of the challenges and strategies in building a competitive business. The results of this assignment are expected to be the basis for students to develop a more structured and realistic startup business.

Abstract

Industrialization is a key factor in the economic development of a country, including Indonesia. Since the New Order era, industrialization has become an integral part of national development strategies, marked by the growth of the industrial sector and the active involvement of state-owned enterprises (SOEs). This study aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of the concept of industrialization, its role in the economy, the development of the industrial sector in Indonesia, its impacts, and concrete examples of state-owned enterprises operating in the industrial sector. The method used is a literature review with a qualitative approach, focusing on synthesizing findings from various sources to gain deeper insight. The discussion results show that industrialization greatly contributes to economic growth and job creation, but it also brings negative impacts such as environmental pollution, consumerism, cultural value shifts, and uncontrolled urbanization. One example of a state-owned enterprise playing a major role in the industrial sector is PT Pertamina (Persero), which contributes to national energy security and the development of a sustainable energy industry. By understanding the dynamics of industrialization, it is hoped that Indonesia’s future economic development can achieve a better balance between growth and sustainability.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to examine the structure of economic performance and identify superior clusters in districts/cities in order to develop a basis for formulating effective regional development strategies. The methodology used is quantitative with a descriptive approach that includes analysis of location quotient (LQ), shift share and class typology. Secondary data comes from official institutions such as the Central Statistics Agency (BPS). The results of the study indicate that Sidoarjo has an advantage in the manufacturing sector (LQ 1.85) and is included in the category of advanced and rapidly developing regions. Lamongan stands out in the agricultural and fisheries sectors with significant growth, although its contribution to GDP is low, it is classified as a rapidly developing region. Gresik has a large and solid commercial sector, but its growth is still lagging behind the national average. Pasuruan is included in the lagging category because its education services sector has not become the mainstay of the economy. The cluster approach has proven successful in identifying regional potential and formulating data-based development policies. Cross-sector collaboration and responsive and supportive government policies are key factors in developing superior clusters that can accelerate regional economic growth in an inclusive and sustainable manner.
