Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengukur pengaruh Investasi (X1) dan Penyerapan Tenaga Kerja (X2) terhadap Sektor Industri Pengolahan (Y) di Provinsi Jawa Timur. Penelitian menggunakan data deret waktu tahun 2010–2024 dan dianalisis dengan regresi linier berganda menggunakan EViews 12, dilengkapi dengan uji t, koefisien determinasi (R²), dan Uji Sobel untuk melihat pengaruh langsung maupun tidak langsung. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa baik Investasi maupun Penyerapan Tenaga Kerja tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap sektor industri pengolahan, dibuktikan melalui nilai signifikansi masing-masing 0,5105 dan 0,4834. Nilai R² sebesar 4,19% mengindikasikan bahwa kedua variabel hanya mampu menjelaskan sebagian kecil variasi pada sektor industri. Uji Sobel menghasilkan nilai Z –0,722, yang menunjukkan bahwa Penyerapan Tenaga Kerja tidak memediasi hubungan antara Investasi dan output industri. Secara keseluruhan, perkembangan sektor industri pengolahan di Jawa Timur lebih dipengaruhi oleh faktor lain seperti teknologi, kapasitas produksi, efisiensi, dan kondisi pasar yang tidak termasuk dalam model penelitian.

Abstract

One of the major breakthroughs in waste management in Indonesia is the waste bank program. Through this program, it is formed in people's minds that waste is something that is useless and is simply thrown away, converted into something that also has value and price. Through the waste bank, people can save waste, which can then generate money within a certain period of time. This research uses descriptive research methods with quantitative analysis. This study aims to find out how the impact of the waste bank program on the socio-economic community in Sememi Village, Benowo District, Surabaya City. Impact is defined as an influence that brings both positive and negative consequences. Based on the results of data analysis, it was concluded that there was a positive impact on the socio-economic life of the people in Sememi Village, Benowo District after the construction of the Garbage Bank. This is indicated by an increase in people's income, although it is small, it provides significant benefits for the community. Not only income has increased, but health and better social interaction among people, most importantly, a cleaner environment has also increased from time to time.

Abstract

This research aims to increase knowledge and insight in the field of industrial economics and aims to analyze industrial competitive strategies in facing technological advances. The research method uses qualitative methods and library research. The data collection technique is to record important information in carrying out data analysis by means of data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions to obtain conclusions. The results of the research show that Indonesia's industrial strategy is to be able to survive in competition and import substitution must be increased to meet the needs of a growing society. increasing even though industry can be one of the strategies in the industrial sector that can be developed in the future in an effort to realize Indonesia's economic growth.

Abstract

This journal investigates industrial strategies that are relevant in the context of macroeconomics in the city of Surabaya. Surabaya, as one of the largest cities in Indonesia, has an important role in industrial development and national economic growth. The purpose of this study is to analyze various industrial strategies that can be used to strengthen the city's macro-economy. The research method used in this study involves the analysis of secondary data obtained from reliable sources, including government reports, industry case studies, and related literature. Based on the data analysis, several industrial strategies that have proven effective in influencing the macro-economy in the city of Surabaya are identified and evaluated..

Abstract

This study analyzes the causes, consequences and solutions to portrait poverty in post-reform Mojokerto Regency, including: Poverty Line, Number of Poor Population, Percentage of Poor Population, Consequences and Solutions to Post-Reform Poverty. Poverty is a very dynamic problem that depends on the challenges faced. In Indonesia, each government period has its own focus and character in efforts to reduce poverty. Preparing for the analysis requires information to be used in the research process. Information in the form of research published by the Central Bureau of Statistics of Finland (BPS), other information from the BPS of East Java Province, BPS of Mojokerto Regency, using time series data (time series data) at least from the most recent period of 3-5 years, and using djpb data from the Indonesian Ministry of Finance. The results of the study show that the poverty line is known to be directly proportional to the increase in the number of poor people in 2020. This indicates that the increase in the price of food and other staple goods will be far above the average. spending of the poor. The very poor and the poor remained in place, while the near poor became even poorer as their spending could no longer keep up with the rising poverty line. It is hoped that during this reform period, the Mojokerto Regency Government will be able to overcome the impacts and consequences and find solutions or steps to reduce the current poverty problems in Mojokerto Regency.

Abstract

Small and medium industries (SMIs) and medium-scale industries are sectors that contribute significantly to economic growth in the city of Surabaya. The development of the industrial sector can increase economic activities while also creating employment opportunities for the community. The distribution of industries in each area of Surabaya shows different characteristics influenced by accessibility, supporting facilities, and proximity to economic activity centers. This study aims to analyze the spatial distribution patterns of small and medium industries as well as medium-scale industries in Surabaya. The research method used is descriptive quantitative with a Geographic Information System (GIS) approach. The research data were obtained from industrial location and quantity data based on districts. The results indicate that industrial distribution tends to be concentrated in areas with good transportation networks and high economic activity. In addition, several regions have a higher level of industrial concentration compared to other areas. Infrastructure and ease of access are the main supporting factors influencing industrial development in Surabaya. This study is expected to provide recommendations for the government in developing industrial areas and improving urban spatial planning more evenly.

Abstract

The manufacturing industry sector has an important role in supporting economic growth in Banyuwangi Regency. The increase in industrial activities contributes to employment opportunities, regional income growth, and the expansion of economic activities in urban and rural areas. Each region in Banyuwangi has different industrial development characteristics influenced by transportation accessibility, infrastructure availability, land conditions, and proximity to trade and distribution centers. This study aims to analyze the orientation strategy of the manufacturing industry in Banyuwangi Regency using a spatial approach based on Geographic Information Systems (GIS). The research method used is descriptive quantitative with spatial analysis. The results show that manufacturing industries tend to develop in areas with good transportation access and adequate infrastructure support. Industrial concentration is also dominant in regions close to economic activity centers and distribution routes. The development of manufacturing industries has positive impacts on regional economic growth, employment opportunities, and community income. However, industrial concentration in certain areas may create regional development inequality. Therefore, sustainable industrial planning is required to support balanced regional development in Banyuwangi Regency.

Abstract

Modern industrialization is characterized by the integration of digital technology, automation, and global connectivity into industrial activities. This study aims to analyze the characteristics of modern industrialization and examine its impact on economic and social development. The research employs a descriptive qualitative approach using secondary data collected from scientific journals, books, and government reports. The findings indicate that technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), the Internet of Things (IoT), and automated production systems significantly enhance production efficiency, product quality, and industrial competitiveness. In addition, digital transformation supports faster communication, more accurate data management, and broader market access for industries. However, modern industrialization also presents several challenges, including labor displacement due to automation, widening skill gaps, and unequal access to technology. These conditions require governments and industries to improve human resource quality through education and training programs. Adaptive industrial policies and sustainable development strategies are also necessary to ensure that industrial progress provides balanced economic and social benefits.

Abstract

Exports as a component of international trade contribute significantly to the development and growth of a country’s economy. In Indonesia, export activities are considered one of the key drivers in increasing national economic performance. This research seeks to evaluate the role of Indonesia’s exports to the United States within the Harmonized System (HS) Code 71 commodity classification, encompassing pearls, gemstones, precious metals, and jewelry products, in influencing Indonesia’s economic growth as reflected by Gross Domestic Product (GDP) at constant prices.The analysis focuses on three specific commodity groups: Pearls and Precious Stones (HS 71.01–71.05), Precious Metals and Metals Clad with Precious Metals (HS 71.06–71.12), and Jewelry and Related Articles (HS 71.13–71.18). A descriptive quantitative research design was employed, utilizing secondary time-series data collected for the 2015–2024 period. Data sources included the Indonesian Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) and Trade Map. To assess the relationship between variables, this study adopted multiple linear regression analysis accompanied by classical assumption testing and hypothesis testing using both t-test and F-test procedures. The empirical findings demonstrate that export performance within the HS Code 71 category underwent considerable fluctuations throughout the observation period, reaching its peak in 2024.Furthermore, the statistical results indicate that each commodity sub-category contributes differently and exerts varying effects on Indonesia’s real GDP, both individually and collectively. The outcomes of this research are expected to provide useful references for government institutions in developing trade cooperation strategies and policy decisions, while also supporting business actors in strengthening the international competitiveness of Indonesian products.

Abstract

The shift in economic structure from a reliance on traditional agriculture to modern industrialization has yielded various competitive advantages for a region. The presence of leading sectors at the local level is a strong indicator of increased added value and high productivity, fueled by a healthy competitive climate among business actors. This phenomenon is closely related to the characteristics of the industrial sector, which possesses very strong forward and backward linkages, making it a primary driver of national economic growth. Progress in the manufacturing sector is not merely a measure of economic success but also serves as a driver of fiscal stability through massive employment absorption and increased foreign exchange earnings. Industrial growth is considered highly strategic because it holds significant potential for future expansion through technological innovation and production efficiency. This condition makes industrial cluster development an instrument for driving sustainable economic growth in Indonesia, while simultaneously strengthening the competitiveness of local products in the global market through the integration of a more organized production system.
