Abstract

The purpose of this study was to find out what vocational skills education was implemented in SMP Muhammadiyah Majenang, a private junior high school in Cilacap, Central Java, and to find out how to develop vocational skills education to foster the students’ entrepreneurial intention. It is expected that this vocational skill can foster entrepreneurial intention to the students themselves early, to make them the young entrepreneurs. This research was a research and development with a qualitative approach. Research and development were modified from the ten steps of Borg and Gall, consisting of three stages, namely: preliminary study, model development, and model testing. Participants involved included the principal, representative of the curriculum deputy, teachers, advisers, and students. The data collection techniques used questionnaires, observation, interviews, and document studies. The results of the study found the existence of extracurricular activities in the form of self-development game activities. Self-development game is indicated by the achievement in certain fields. The results of the development found that the existence of agricultural extracurricular activities in the form of chili cultivation could foster the students’ entrepreneurial intentions. We found that the positive attitudes and abilities of entrepreneurship were possessed by students, including selling chili crops and chili seeds to the general public. The program for developing extracurricular activities also produces vocational skills in the form of students who independently plant seeds other than chili and inspire students to sell other seeds.

Abstract

This research focuses on the development of Differential Evolution(DE) algorithmto solve m-machine flow shopscheduling problems with respect to both makespan and total flow time. Development of DE algorithm is done by modifyingthe adaptive parameter determination procedure in order to change the value of adaptive parameters in each generation, adding local search strategy to the algorithm in order to improve the quality of the resulting solutions, as ewell as modifyingthe crossover in order to reduce computation time. The result indicates that the proposed DE algorithm has proven to bebetter than the original DE algorithm, Genetic Algorithm (GA), and for certain cases it also out performs Multi-ObjectiveAnt Colony System Algorithm (MOCSA).

Abstract

Erythrocyte index consisting of MCV, MCH, MCHC serves for the classification of types of anemia. High or low erythrocyte index can give a picture of erythrocyte morphology in the peripheral blood smear preparation. Lead exposure in Tambaklorok exceeds the threshold that affects anemia. The purpose of this study was to determine the erythrocyte index confirmation with erythrocyte morphology in the peripheral blood smear preparation. This type of analytic research is cross sectional approach. The research population was Tambaklorok Semarang residents and 104 samples were taken using purposive technique. Erythrocyte index was measured using hematological analyzer and erythrocyte morphology in the peripheral blood smear preparation using Giemsa painting. Erythrocyte index confirmation with the peripheral blood smear preparation was analyzed using the Gamma statistical relationship test. The results showed that the erythrocyte index value was mostly in the normal category, i.e., MCH 68 (64.4%), MCHC 61 (58.6%) and MCH 58 (56%) and below normal category were MCH 45 (42.95%), MCHC 41 (39.4%), and MCV 36 (34.3%). Erythrocyte morphology was mostly hypochromic, namely 46 (44.23%), normochrome 40 (38.46%), and hyperchrome 18 (17.3%). Relationship of MCH with erythrocyte color p value 0.037 with size p value 0.038. Conclusion of erythrocyte index confirmation, especially MCH with the peripheral blood smear preparation, there was a match on the color and size of erythrocytes, while the MCV and MCHC values had no significant relationship.

Abstract

Industrial development has an impact on competency requirements that must be aligned with the provision of competencies in vocational school. Vocational school graduates who are able to work in accordance with their field of expertise are one of the keys to the success of vocational education. The purpose of writing this article is to determine the vocational alignment based on the schema. The method used is qualitative with a case study approach. Data collection techniques using interviews. The research was conducted during a workshop organized by the Directorate of Vocational Education. The research subjects were Indonesian vocational school teachers. The research procedure used the Denzin & Lincoln model. Data analysis was carried out with the assistance of the Atlas.ti software version 8.3. The results of this study provide information that there are three important things that need to be done by vocational school and Industry to be able to carry out and develop competencies, namely process, strategic management, and duties and responsibilities. The three things that are the findings, of course, have their respective indicators which can be done specifically by vocational school and Industry. The results of this research can be used as a collective reflection for vocational school and industry in increasing competence and developing the ability to create quality graduates for vocational school and to find competent workforce candidates for Industry.

Abstract

Abstract

In the cement industry, supply chain management has an important role in determining competitiveness from inbound logistics to outbound logistics. PT X is the largest cement company in Indonesia with market share about 53% in 2019. The Company’s key strategy is supply chain optimization to achieve logistics and transportation cost efficiency and also prioritizing service level to meet customer needs. Outbound logistics optimization in PT X can be approached with the Integrated Transportation-Inventory (ITI) model. ITI is a model that integrates transportation and inventory decisions. In addition, ITI can also determine inventory levels, production quantities and backorder decisions. The application of ITI at PT X case study is categorized as multiple to multiple supply chain configurations, transshipment, multi-period, multi-product, allowing for back orders, and deterministic demand. The results of simulations of ITI models can be used as a basis sales planning and production. In this research, the ITI model solved with simplex solver method on Lingo 18, which has features to improve computational processes of a large scale cases. The development of the ITI model in optimizing outbound logistics at PT X provides efficiency and effectiveness of distribution strategy to meet customer demand. Simulation results show that optimization of outbound logistics using the ITI model is able to save costs by 1.86% (worth 117 billion) compared to existing conditions.
