Abstract

Early marriage is when children or teenagers are not, yet adults or teenagers aged 10–19 years old when they get married. Parents' critical role as the smallest and most immediate part of their teenagers' environment is expected to shape their character and personality to avoid early marriage decisions. According to survey data from the Kepahiang Regency's Ministry of Religion, there were 127 cases of marriages between people aged 19 and September 2021. This number increased compared to the 111 cases of early marriage reported in 2020, a 6.7 percent increase. The purpose of this study is to examine the factors that contribute to early marriage among pregnant women in Kepahiang Regency in 2021. and parenting styles. The study employed a cross-sectional design. This study surveyed pregnant women in Kepahiang Regency, with a sample size of 66 respondents. The analysis revealed no statistical significance between the respondents' education (p-value = 0.961). In addition, there was statistical significance for the father's education (p-value = 0.012). Furthermore, there was a statistical significance between the mother's education (p-value = 0.009). In addition, there was a statistical significance between income (p-value = 0.016). There is a statistical significance between parenting styles (p-value = 0.026). In addition, there is a statistical significance between respondents' knowledge (p-value = 0.030). Finally, the most dominant factor related to early marriage is the respondent's knowledge, with PR = 7,532 (95% CI; 1. 858-30,543), which means that respondents with more minor and moderate knowledge could marry early 7,532 times compared to respondents who have good knowledge. The importance of providing adolescents with information and health education about early marriage, in which parents also play a critical role in parenting patterns, including preventing the possibility of early marriage.

Abstract

Musculoskeletal Disorders (MSDs) are disorders of the musculoskeletal system that cause symptoms such as pain due to damage to nerves and blood vessels in various locations of the body such as the neck, shoulders, wrists, hips, knees, and heels. This condition causes workers to experience fatigue more quickly. This study aims to analyze work attitudes towards complaints of Musculoskeletal Disorders at gas station operators in Palembang City. This type of research is a cross sectional study. The research was conducted at 12 gas stations in Palembang City. The number of samples in the study were 121 operators. Data was collected using interview techniques and data collection instruments using a questionnaire measuring instrument Nordic Body Map (NBM), and Rapid Entire Body Assessment (REBA). The results showed that there was a relationship between age and complaints of Musculoskeletal Disorders (p-value = 0.000), gender (p-value = 0.023), years of service (p-value = 0.000), smoking habits (p-value = 0.000), activity physical (p-value = 0.000), and work attitude (p-value = 0.000). Gas station workers are expected to be able to do light body stretching between breaks so as to reduce the risk of Musculoskeletal Disorders. Gas station operators are also expected to pay more attention to their work attitude, because if they do work with a bad work attitude, it will speed up the process of musculoskeletal disorders complaints.Keywords: Musculoskeletal Disorder (MSDs), Ergonomic, Gas Station

Abstract

Low birth weight (LBW) are most likely a cause of increasing the number of infant mortality rate. The incidence of LBW related to many factors such as maternal health, fetal, and environmental factors. Early detection to see fetal growth during pregnancy is to estimated fetal weight. The purpose of this research was to find out the correlation of maternal age, maternal education, maternal occupation, history of parity and nutritional status with estimated fetal weight. The type of research used was analytical observational study with cross sectional approach and collected using questionnaire with total samples of 72 pregnant women. The result of this research showed that there was correlation of maternal age (p=0,04), maternal education (p=0,012), history of parity (p=0,003), nutritional status (p=0,012) with estimated fetal weight. There was no correlation of maternal occupation (p=0,327) with estimated fetal weight. The concludes of this research was pregnant women with non-risky age, higher education, parity 2-3 times and good nutritional status tended to have the weight of the fetus conceived according to gestational age, while maternal occupation would not necessarily affected the estimated fetal weight.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze pregnant women's behavior, family support, and facilities on the estimated fetal weight in Kepahiang District. The research method used is descriptive-analytic research with a cross-sectional approach. The sampling process used the purposive sampling technique. The results showed that the majority of respondents with a good level of knowledge consisted of 54 people (64.3%); 47 respondents had a negative attitude (56%); respondents with sufficient action are 37 people (44.0%); respondents who received good family support were 54 people (64.3%); 60 respondents use public transportation to health services (71.4%); and respondents who had an abnormal estimated fetal weight (TBJ) were 61 people (72.6%). In conclusion, the attitude variable was the dominant factor in the incidence of estimated fetal weight in the Kepahiang Regency in 2021. Abstract

Stunting if the height of a child is not the same as the standard height of children in the normal population of the same age and sex. The National Medium-Term Plan (RPJMN) is to improve the nutritional status of the community, including reducing the prevalence of Stunting. This study aims to analyze in depth Human Development Cadre in preventing Stunting. Based on the results of the study by describing the phenomenon based on the perspective of the informants, finding various realities and developing a holistic understanding of a phenomenon in a particular context, it shows that the performance of the Human Development Cadre (KPM) in the Health Office of Muaro Jambi Regency depends on the involvement of cross-sectors in Stunting reduction acceleration program, in addition to cross-sectoral involvement, knowledge, the role of officers, training and support for government officials are very much needed to improve the performance of all Human Development Cadres (KPM) within the Muaro Jambi District Health Office. This research is a qualitative research by describing the phenomenon based on the point of view of the informants. The results of the performance of the Human Development Cadre (KPM) are still not in accordance with the guidelines, the role of officers in the KPM guide and the lack of knowledge of KPM in carrying out their duties.

Abstract

Kejadian demam berdarah dengue (DBD) yang memiliki pola cyclic trend, bisa meluas menjadi kejadian luar biasa (KLB), menimbulkan korban serta menimbulkan dampak baik ekonomi, sosial, politik maupun pariwisata, kasus ini sebenarnya dapat dicegah baik sebelum maupun sesudah kejadian, asal penanganannya cepat. Dilakukan pengembangan model pemantauan jentik nyamuk aedes egypti berjenjang, sebagai usulan kegiatan penanggulangan DBD melalui pemberdayaan masyarakat di Kelurahan Sukabangun, Kecamatan Sukarame pada 30 responden ibu rumah tangga. Melalui metode Action Research, dilakukan tahapan kegiatan yaitu preliminary survey keadaan dan potensi masyarakat melalui kegiatan Focus Group Discussion (FGD), dilanjutkan dengan kegiatan penyuluhan dan pelatihan DBD, serta evaluasi dan monitoring sistem pelaporan berjenjang (multilevel monitoring) terhadap angka bebas jentik (ABJ) nyamuk aedes aegypti, sebagai bagian dari kegiatan pemberdayaaan berbasis masyarakat yang efektif dan efesien. Dari FGD diperoleh informasi dari masyarakat, bahwa DBD merupakan ancaman kesehatan yang perlu ditanggulangi bersama melalui keterlibatan aktif masyarakat, Pada kegiatan pre dan post penyuluhan dan pelatihan DBD, menggunakan uji beda dua mean dependen atau paired t test, ada hubungan tingkat pengetahuan, sikap dan tindakan responden antara pengukuran pertama dan kedua (Pv < 0,05), yang bermakna kegiatan ini efektif untuk meningkatkan KAP (knowledge, attitude, practice) responden. Pada kegiatan sistem pelaporan berjenjang (multilevel monitoring) menggunakan teknologi formulir pemeriksaan jentik (FPJ I – III), terhadap angka bebas jentik (ABJ) nyamuk aedes aegypti, diperoleh hasil 77 rumah yang diperiksa terdapat 5 rumah yang positif jentik aedes aegypti, sehingga ABJ di Kelurahan Sukabangun pertanggal 14 mei 2006 adalah 93,5% Agar pengembangan model pemantauan jentik nyamuk aedes egypti berjenjang, sebagai alternatif metode penanggulangan DBD berbasis masyarakat, melalui peningkatan partisipasi ibu rumah tangga, dapat berjalan optimal dan sustain perlu keterlibatan aktif dan dukungan dari semua sektor terkait, termasuk keterlibatan khususnya dari kelompok mahasiswa kesehatan sebagai supervisor kegiatan lapangan.

Abstract

Background: Malaria is a vector-borne disease and affects morbidity and mortality worldwide. Malaria is a disease that can recur or re-emerging disease. Therefore, vigilance and joint efforts are needed in tackling malaria.Purpose: To determine the behavior of the community in preventing the occurrence of malaria.Method: This study uses a literature review method. The database used comes from scientific publication literature using Crossref, Google Scholar, Science Direct and Pubmed. Research articles were selected from 2016-2021. The inclusion criteria of the study discussed the behavior of the community in preventing malaria. The exclusion criteria for this study were articles published before 2016. The sample of this study obtained 23 articles related to behavior carried out by the community in efforts to prevent malaria.Results: The results showed that the dominant variables that could be behavioral factors in malaria prevention were 18 articles of habit of using insecticide-treated mosquito nets, 10 articles of mosquito repellent use, and 5 articles of going out at night.Conclusion: Public awareness is needed, namely by maintaining environmental cleanliness, using insecticide-treated mosquito nets, limiting the habit of going out at night, using mosquito repellent and the active role of health workers in malaria prevention efforts.Keywords: Behavior; Preventive; Malaria.Pendahuluan: Malaria merupakan penyakit yang ditularkan melalui vektor dan mempengaruhi kesakitan dan kematian di seluruh dunia. Penyakit malaria merupakan penyakit yang dapat kambuh kembali atau re-emerging disease. Oleh sebab itu, diperlukan kewaspadaan dan upaya bersama dalam menanggulangi malaria.Tujuan: Untuk mengetahui perilaku masyarakat dalam mencegah terjadinya penyakit malaria.Metode: Penelitian ini menggunakan metode literatur review. Database yang digunakan berasal dari literatur publikasi ilmiah dengan menggunakan Crossref, Google Scholar, Science Direct dan Pubmed. Artikel penelitian dipilih dari tahun 2016-2021. Kriteria inklusi penelitian membahas perilaku masyarakat dalam pencegahan penyakit malaria. Kriteria eksklusi penelitian ini adalah artikel diterbitkan sebelum tahun 2016. Sampel dari penelitian ini didapatkan 23 artikel terkait perilaku yang dilakukan masyarakat dalam upaya pencegahan malaria.Hasil: Dari penelitian didapatkan bahwa variabel dominan yang dapat menjadi faktor perilaku dalam pencegahan malaria yaitu kebiasaan menggunakan kelambu berinsektisida sebanyak 18 artikel, variabel penggunaan obat nyamuk sebanyak 10 artikel, serta variabel keluar rumah pada malam hari berjumlah 5 artikel.Simpulan: Diperlukan kesadaran masyarakat yaitu dengan menjaga kebersihan lingkungan, penggunaan kelambu berinsektisida, membatasi kebiasaan keluar rumah pada malam hari, penggunaan obat anti nyamuk dan peran aktif petugas kesehatan dalam upaya pencegahan malaria.

Abstract

AbstrakBerbagai negara dari seluruh dunia telah berkomitmen bersama dengan melibatkan pemerintah, perusahaan bioteknologi, ilmuwan, dan akademisi untuk menciptakan vaksin COVID-19. Persentase penerimaan vaksin yang rendah pada masyarakat Kabupaten Batanghari tidak terlepas dari faktor-faktor yang memengaruhi, salah satunya dapat disebabkan oleh persepsi masyarakat itu sendiri. Persepsi individu dalam memilih untuk melakukan sesuatu yang berhubungan dengan kesehatannya dikaji dalam teori Health Belief Model (HBM). Tujuan penelitian ini untuk melakukan kajian berupa analisis menggunakan pendekatan Health Belief Model terhadap penerimaan vaksinasi COVID-19 di Kabupaten Batang Hari. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain penelitian deskriptif kualitatif dengan metode pendekatan Health Belief Model melalui wawancara dan dokumentasi. Lokasi penelitian berada di tiga puskesmas yaitu Puskesmas Muara Bulian, Puskesmas Pasar Terusan, dan Puskesmas Batin pada 25 April sampai 25 Mei 2022. Jumlah informan terdapat 15 orang terdiri dari kepala puskesmas, petugas keseahatan, lansia, petugas publik dan masyarakat umum penerima vaksin. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan health belief model masyarakat dalam penerimaan vaksin COVID-19 bisa dibedakan menjadi 3, yaitu: meyakini bahwa virus COVID-19 tersebut berbahaya, sekaligus ada anjuran dari pihak berwenang untuk melakukan vaksin sehingga memutuskan untuk bersedia divaksin; meyakini bahwa virus COVID-19 tersebut tidak berbahaya, dapat sembuh berdasarkan peningkatan imun sehingga menolak untuk melakukan vaksin; merasa bahwa dirinya kurang sehat sehingga takut melakukan vaksinasi. Faktor-faktor yang memengaruhi penerapan health belief model masyarakat dalam melakukan vaksin COVID-19 di antaranya, rasa takut, cemas, dan khawatir terkait efek samping vaksin.Covid-19 Vaccination Acceptance with Approach Method Health Belief Model in Batang Hari DistrictAbstractVarious countries worldwide have committed together by involving governments, biotechnology companies, scientists, and academics to create a COVID-19 vaccine. However, the low percentage of vaccine reception in the Batanghari Regency community cannot be separated from the existence of influencing factors, one of which can be caused by the perception of the community itself. Therefore, this study aimed to investigate using the Health Belief Model approach to accept COVID-19 vaccination in Batang Hari Regency. This study uses a qualitative descriptive research design using the Health Belief Model method through interviews and documentation. The research locations are in three health centers, Muara Bulian Health Center, Pasar Terusan Health Center, and Batin Health Center, from April to May 2022. The number of informants is 15 people consisting of the head of the puskesmas, health workers, the elderly, public officers, and the general public who receive vaccines. Based on the study results, it can be concluded that implementing the community's health belief model in receiving the COVID-19 vaccine can be divided into three aspects. First, believing that the COVID-19 virus is dangerous, at the same time, there is a recommendation from the authorities to vaccinate, so he decided to be vaccinated. Believing that the COVID-19 virus is not dangerous and can be cured based on increased immunity, thus refuse to vaccinate. Third, they were feeling unwell, so they were afraid to vaccinate. The factors that influence the application of the community's health belief model in carrying out the COVID-19 vaccine include fear, anxiety, and worry about vaccine side effects.

Abstract

Pendahuluan: Pada saat kehamilan terjadi hemodelusi yang mengakibatkan penurunan kadar Hb. Oleh karena itu, konsumsi makanan tinggi zat besi sangat diperlukan pada saat kehamilan. Asupan zat besi yang kurang akan berdampak terhadap defisiensi zat besi dan mengganggu pertumbuhan janin. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis hubungan asupan zat besi dengan kejadian anemia defisiensi besi pada ibu hamil di Kabupaten Seluma. Metode: Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan desain cross sectional dengan sampel sebanyak 136 orang ibu hamil dari 4 Puskesmas di Kabupaten Seluma. Pengukuran asupan zat besi menggunakan food recall 3x24 jam, sedangkan penentuan anemia defisiensi besi berdasarkan pengukuran kadar Hb, Fe serum dan TIBC. Analisis data menggunakan uji chi-square dengan software SPSS. Hasil dan Pembahasan: Berdasarkan uji analisis bivariat didapatkan bahwa ada hubungan antara asupan Fe dan kejadian anemia defisiensi besi dengan p-value=0.003 (PR=0.225; 95% CI: 0.078-0.647). Tidak hanya pada responden dengan asupan Fe yang kurang tetapi mayoritas asupan Fe dengan kategori cukup. Kesimpulan: Pada penelitian selanjutnyadapat ditambahkkan variabel yang mempengaruhi asupan Fe sehingga hal yang mempengaruhi antara penyerapan dan kejadian ADB dapat menjadi lebih jelas.

Abstract

Fungi from South Sumatra (Indonesia) were identified morphologically and molecularly, and their pathogenicity to egg, larvae, and adult Aedes aegypti was evaluated. The fungal isolates used for bioassay were 11 isolates from this study and 4 isolates from the laboratory collection. Fifteen isolates of five fungal species (Metarhizium anisopliae, Penicillium citrinum, Talaromyces diversus, Beauveria bassiana, and Purpureocillium lilacinum) from South Sumatra, Indonesia, were pathogenic to the egg, larvae, and adult of Ae. aegypti. Egg mortality caused by M. anisopliae isolate MSwTp3 was the highest (38.31%). A novel finding of this study was that the eggs exposed to the fungus not only killed the eggs but could continue to kill the emerging larvae, pupae, and adults. The five fungal species induced larval mortality between 52.22−94.44% and adult mortality between 50.00−92.22%. Fungal strains belonging to M. anisopliae, P. citrinum, T. diversus, and B. bassiana from South Sumatra seem to possess remarkable ovicidal, larvicidal and adulticidal activity against Ae. aegypti. M. anisopliae, P. citrinum, T. diversus, and B. bassiana had the potential as entomopathogens to be developed into ovicides, larvicides, and adulticides for controlling Ae. aegypti.
