Abstract

This community service aims to provide training to teachers and students of SMAS Pelita Karya in making wet and dry plant preparations based on local wisdom. This activity was motivated by the lack of laboratory facilities and the limited ability of teachers to carry out effective biology practicums. The training was carried out using the In-Service Training (IST) and On-Service Training (OST) methods involving science teachers and students. The results of this activity showed an increase in the competence of teachers and students in making and utilizing wet and dry preparations from local plants for biology practicum activities. In addition, there was an increase in students' understanding of biological concepts through the use of contextual and relevant preparation media to their surroundings. This activity concludes that training in making preparations based on local wisdom can improve the quality of biology learning at SMAS Pelita Karya and enrich learning methods based on local resources.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the evaluation of quality control-based learning outcomes in realizing quality learning for students. In order for monitoring and evaluation to run well, periodic procurement based on quality control is needed, it is intended that educators have the latest data regarding the achievement of learning outcomes on a regular basis so as to improve the quality of learning. The research method used is a descriptive method with a literature approach through literature on evaluating learning outcomes and quality control-based evaluation policies. The answer to the results of this study is the evaluation of quality control-based outcomes is an evaluation carried out by educators to measure the success of the learning process through quality control based on indicators of learning outcomes. In implementing all learning outcomes in order to realize the quality of learning, quality control-based evaluation procurement is needed which aims to assess the achievement of goals, measure various aspects of various lessons, motivate student learning, become an evaluation as a basis for curriculum changes, and determine follow-up assessment results.

Abstract

Distribusi dana zakat untuk pemberdayaan UMKM berdampak pada perubahan sosial dari status mustahik (yang berhak menerima bantuan) menjadi muzakki (pemberi bantuan). Karena itu, tujuan penelitian ini memperkuat konseptualisasi distribusi dana zakat produktif pada Badan Amil Zakat Nasional (Baznas) di Indonesia melalui pemberdayaan UMKM, terutama menganalisis model pemberdayaan dengan sistem mudharabah, in-kind, dan qardh al-hasan dalam program pemberdayaan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif, terutama dengan pendekatan kajian literatur dengan tahap analisis datanya dari pengumpulan data, display data, kesimpulan dan verifikasi. Temuan penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pemberdayaan berbasis UMKM pada Baznas memiliki sistem yang baik guna meningkatkan kesejahteraan masyarakat, sehingga memerlukan sistem yang tepat dalam program pemberdayaan. Sistem mudharabah, in-kind, dan qardh al-hasan atau perjanjian tertentui antara pihak Baznas dan mustahik untuk modal usaha paling tepat dalam pendistribusian dana zakat produktif berbasis UMKM karena cenderung kreatif dan inovatif di masa modern.

Abstract

Background. The community service program in Indonesia has become an important part of efforts to build a better community, including in the context of Al-Qur'an education. community service program activities can be an effective means to develop the potential of the younger generation in understanding and practicing the Al-Qur'an.Purpose. This study aims to explore the effectiveness of the community service program program in fostering Al-Qur'an Education Parks as an effort to strengthen the understanding and practice of the Al-Qur'an among the younger generation.Methods. This study uses a qualitative approach with case studies, involving data collection through participatory observation and in-depth interviews with community service program participants and managers of Al-Qur'an Education Parks.Results. The results of the study indicate that the community service program program is effective in improving the understanding and practice of the Al-Qur'an among the younger generation, with increased active participation in learning activities and religious life.Conclusions. The community service program can be used as a useful model in fostering Al-Qur'an Education Parks, by emphasizing the integration of Al-Qur'an values in the daily lives of the younger generation.

Abstract

The aim of this service is to empower the community in processing red fruit oil in the local community in Segior Village, Ayamaru Jaya District, Maybrat Regency. Actions carried out to awaken the mindset, creativity and entrepreneurial spirit of local communities through empowerment actions in processing red fruit oil so that it has economic value for local households. This activity was carried out collaboratively and synergistically between the local community and UM Sorong lecturers. The method used in Empowering Local Communities in Processing Red Fruit Oil through community empowerment carried out in the form of Collaborative Action activities with a persuasive and andragogical approach model. The results of this community service activity have identified how to build understanding (mindset) and creative power of local communities in processing red fruit oil and opening up market information. This empowerment is also the main foundation for strengthening and developing red fruit oil processing businesses.

Abstract

Kabus in Kofiau, Raja Ampat Regency is a traditional tradition that aims to preserve natural resources in the form of forests and seas. This Kabus has long been initiated by indigenous communities and religious leaders, and is supported by the local government and The Nature Conservancy (TNC). This research was conducted on the "kabus" system that has been implemented by the local community in Tolobi Village, Kofiau District, Raja Ampat Regency. This research was conducted for ± 1 month, namely during August 2024. The method in this research uses a descriptive method through observation sub-methods accompanied by interviews using the Focus Group Discussion (PGD) method. The results of this research show that local wisdom "kabus" in protecting natural resources is a traditional conservation model that was born from traditional knowledge a long time ago. "Kabus" is a form of "moratorium" on the extraction of natural resources in a certain period of time. Kabus is also a temporary stoppage of natural resource extraction activities so that they can grow and reproduce well through the implementation of an open-close system.

Abstract

Latar belakang masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah pendistribusian zakat yang belum dapat disalurkan secara maksimal. Hal ini karena potensi zakat yang besar di Kota Padangsidimpuan mencapai 3 miliar pertahun. Namun dana ZIS yang terkumpul pada tahun 2023 berjumlah Rp. 711.960.000 sehingga untuk mendistribusikan dana tersebut kepada mustahik menjadi terbatas dan tidak maksimal. Dengan demikian, peneliti ingin melihat bagaimana manajemen pendistribusian zakat yang ada di Baznas Kota Padangsidimpuan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui manajemen pendistribusian zakat di Badan Amil Zakat Nasional Kota Padangsidimpuan dan faktor pendukung serta penghambat dalam pendistribusian zakat. Jumlah informan penelitian ini adalah 9 orang, data primer berjumlah 6 orang dan data sekunder berjumlah 3 orang. Jenis penelitian ini adalah pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Penelitian ini menggunakan teknik pengumpulan data dengan metode observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian ini yakni menunjukkan adanya serangkaian manajerial mulai dari perencanaan, pengorganisasian, pelaksanaan, dan pengawasan. Adapun dana ZIS yang disalurkan pada tahun 2023 yaitu Trwiulan I dengan mustahik sebanyak 7 dengan jumlah Rp.13.200.000, Triwulan II 1.929 mustahik dengan jumlah Rp.510.388.000, Triwulan III sebanyak 6 orang mustahik berjumlah Rp.10.200.000, dan Triwulan IV sebanyak 166 mustahik berjumlah Rp.38.000.000. Adapun faktor pendukungnya yaitu adanya dukungan dari elemen pemerintah mulai dari Walikota hingga Kepala Lingkungan khususnya kegiatan survey mustahik, tiap-tiap kecamatan yang ada di Kota Padangsidimpuan ditanggung jawabi oleh masing-masing pengurus. Sedangkan faktor penghambatnya yaitu kurangnya antusiasme dan kepercayaan masyarakat untuk membayar zakat ke Baznas, dan masih rendahnya pendapatan ZIS sehingga untuk mendistribusikan zakat tersebut kepada mustahik belum maksimal

Abstract

The scientific approach has been applied in Arabic learning in schools/madrasah throughout Indonesia over the past few years. However, this is not the case in Islamic boarding schools, not all Islamic boarding schoolsapply this scientific approach in Arabic learning. This research aims to reveal the teacher’s perception of the application of scientific approaches in Arabic learning in Islamic boarding schools. The research method used was a survey method. The research sample consisted of 20 Islamic boarding schools in the province of West Sumatra. Research data were collected through a questionnaire filled out by Arabic language teachers in the Islamic boarding schools. The data analysis technique is descriptive quantitative analysis using percentages. The results showed that the majority of teachers agreed with the application of the scientific approach in Arabic learning in Islamic boarding schools since the majority of teachers perceive that the scientific approach is appropriate and effective to be used in Arabic learning. However, some teachers still find difficulties in implementing it even though they have participated in various trainings. In addition, not all Islamic boarding schools are equipped with adequate infrastructure to support the implementation of a scientific approach.Therefore, it is needed a policy from the authorities to improve teacher competence and complete facilities for the implementation of scientific approach towards Arabic learning in Islamic boarding schools.

Abstract

Tembung Village is a village that has many Muslim and Christian religious figures. Tembung village is very active on religious matters, there are many religious activities held. But there are still bad behaviors committed by villagers, such as stealing, gambling, drugs, and so on. So that this behavior makes the community think that religious leaders have not succeeded in directing them to the right path and need to increase people's religious understanding, especially regarding repentance. Thus the authors are interested in conducting this research to find out how religious and community leaders interpret the term Taubat in religion. The research method used in this study is a qualitative method of the Field Research type with the Phenomenology of Religion approach using symbolic interaction theory. The results of the research that has been carried out show that the views of Muslim and Christian religious leaders in Tembung Village regarding repentance agree that it is obligatory for Muslims and Christians, whether male or female, as explained in the Al-Qur'an surah An-Nur verse 31 and Bible Matthew 4 verse 17. Every soul will surely die. To meet God, of course, humans must be clean and pure inside, of course, the best way to purify the mind is through repentance.
