Abstract

Learning planning is highly dependent on the teacher who plans it. Teachers are the spearhead in this regard. Therefore, a teacher needs a learning planning model that is not rigid, uncomplicated, flexible, and easy to implement in the class. This article aims to discover the ease of the Kemp model that helps teachers in planning learning. This is an answer to the problems faced by most teachers. This research uses a literature study data collection method and a content analysis approach. The literature study method allows for the collection of various literature sources in the form of previous research relevant to the title. These literature sources are selected based on criteria. Appropriate literature is extracted for its main ideas, grouped, and processed or analyzed in the discussion. Then, the analysis produces comprehensive conclusions that are discussed in the conclusion section. Based on the literature that has been obtained, the Kemp model is a flexible model because its application is not limited to sequential steps. Therefore, using the Kemp model in learning planning will facilitate teachers in optimizing lesson plans. The conclusion of this study is that the Kemp model can facilitate and provide a solution for teachers in planning learning activities.

Abstract

Teaching materials were an essential component in determining the quality of learning in elementary schools. However, many teachers were not yet able to develop teaching materials independently, which made the learning process rely heavily on textbooks or conventional resources. This study aimed to examine the application of the Rowntree development model as an approach to developing teaching materials in elementary schools. The research method used was a literature study, with data analyzed descriptively based on five relevant articles published between 2020-2025. The results show that teaching materials developed through the Rowntree model are valid, practical, effective, and capable of improving student learning outcomes. The model is also flexible for both printed and digital forms of materials. Therefore, the Rowntree model serves as a systematic approach for teachers to design innovative, engaging, and student-centered teaching materials in elementary schools.

Abstract

This study examines differentiated instruction as an innovative strategy to address student diversity in elementary schools. The review explores its concepts, implementation, benefits, and challenges. A descriptive literature review method was applied by analyzing relevant scholarly articles published between 2019 and 2024. Data were collected through article searching, selection based on relevance and credibility, and analyzed using reduction, display, and conclusion drawing. The findings show that differentiated instruction is relevant for elementary education since it accommodates differences in students’ abilities, interests, and learning styles. It has been proven to enhance learning motivation, academic performance, and non-cognitive skills such as independence, self-confidence, social competence, and communication. Moreover, it fosters inclusive classrooms and reduces learning gaps caused by homogeneous practices. The study concludes that differentiation is an effective strategy for adaptive and student-centered learning. Further research is suggested to explore technology-based approaches or investigate its effectiveness in specific subjects.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the application of the Competency Achievement-Oriented Instructional System Design (DSI-PK) model in learning planning. The problems faced by teachers are difficulties in designing learning that is appropriate to the characteristics of students, conducting assessments, and understanding the curriculum, so that learning planning is not optimal. This study uses a literature study method by reviewing various references related to the definition, characteristics, stages, supporting factors, inhibiting factors, and implementation of the DSI-PK model. The results show that DSI-PK has simple, coherent, and practical characteristics, with three main stages: needs analysis, development, and development of evaluation tools. Supporting factors include the availability of infrastructure, principal policies, and support from the school community, while obstacles include limited teacher understanding, assessment complexity, low student motivation, and limited facilities. Thus, DSI-PK can be a systematic solution in effective, measurable, and competency-oriented learning planning.

Abstract

This study investigates the implementation of the Project for Strengthening the Profile of Pancasila Students in the Sekolah Penggerak program at SD Negeri Wonorejo, Sukoharjo Regency, during the 2022/2023 academic year. The project aimed to enhance student creativity and independence through project-based learning. A qualitative descriptive method with a case study approach was employed. Participants included the school principal, fourth-grade teachers, and subject teachers for grades I-VI. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and document analysis. Project planning was conducted collaboratively, although challenges such as limited modules and evaluation instruments persisted. Themes of entrepreneurship and local wisdom contextualized learning and guided project implementation. The project followed a structured process, including material preparation, group division, topic introduction, product creation, and reflection. These stages fostered increased creativity and independence among students. Evaluation was based on process observations and project reports assessed with progress predicates. The project also positively engaged parents but faced obstacles like time management and theme selection difficulties. The findings highlight the need for contextual modules, valid evaluation instruments, teacher training, stronger external collaborations, and principal supervision. Support from the Education Department in the form of policy and facilities is essential to optimize project outcomes. The project demonstrated success in enhancing student creativity and independence while addressing contextual challenges. Future research should focus on developing practical evaluation tools tailored to students’ needs and the school context, ensuring sustained impact and scalability.

Abstract

Effective management of school facilities and infrastructure is essential for supporting quality education. This study evaluates how facilities and infrastructure are managed in elementary schools using the CIPP (Context, Input, Process, Product) evaluation model. A descriptive qualitative approach was used, with data collected through observations, interviews, and document analysis. The research was conducted at SD Negeri Tekaran 2, Wonogiri, Central Java, involving the principal and six teachers as participants. Data were analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model.Findings indicate that SD Negeri Tekaran 2 has adequate infrastructure, including well-equipped classrooms, a library, sports and arts facilities, sanitation, and technology resources. In the input phase, infrastructure management is supported by transparent budget planning, involving procurement, routine maintenance, and emergency allocations with expert involvement. The process involves periodic inspections, damage reporting, and asset inventory. In the product phase, well-maintained facilities have positively impacted learning outcomes, increased student motivation, and enhanced practical skills, fostering a supportive and effective learning environment. The study concludes that systematic and transparent management of school facilities significantly contributes to the quality of education in elementary schools. Well-maintained infrastructure not only supports teaching and learning but also enhances the overall educational experience and outcomes.
