Abstract

This research examines the management of school relations with the community at SDN Kartodipuran. The focus of this research is to find out the type of school relations with the community. The purpose of this study is to describe the management of school relations with the community and the functions of planning, implementation and evaluation in management at SDN Kartodipuran. This research approach is qualitative with a descriptive approach. The data source in this research is the principal. Data collection techniques through interviews, observation and documentation. Data analysis through data collection, data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing. The results of this study indicate that the types of school and community relations management in an effort to improve the quality of education at SDN Kartodipuran include educational relations, namely with the school committee and institutional relations, namely with the Jayengan Health Center, PLA Surakarta, the police, and the business world. In addition, the management of school and community relations at SDN Kartodipuran also carries out the functions of planning, implementation and evaluation.

Abstract

The impact of the Covid-19 pandemic has affected learning activities at both the primary and higher education levels. Learning which was initially carried out directly in the classroom turned to learning using online media and was carried out virtually using the internet network. This study aims to (1) evaluate the implementation of online learning assessments, (2) describe the obstacles encountered in the implementation of online assessments. The research used a qualitative research approach with descriptive type. The subjects of this study were PGSD FKIP UNS students in even semesters. The data collection techniques used were questionnaires, observations and documents. The credibility of this research data was achieved through triangulation. The data collection technique is done by using an interactive model. The output of this research is a national journal with ISSN. The results of the study concluded that (1) the online assessment carried out in the UNS PGSD study program during the Covid-19 pandemic, had used various platforms and used various forms of assessment or assessment in accordance with the designed learning plan and had fulfilled the assessment steps. (2) the assessment platform applied in the online learning process includes online-based assessment, using Spada, Gmail, WA. The forms of assessment used are written tests, assignments, and presentations. (3) The obstacles faced are the use of the Spada menu has not been maximally used, the internet network is less stable, the preparation of an authentic online assessment requires planning..

Abstract

The Headmaster as a leader in formal education must be visionary. Teachers have a responsibility to see everything going on in the classroom to support the student development process. In the school improvement process, teachers have different assumptions or perceptions about the headmaster's ability to lead. As a mover for teachers, the headmaster must still be able to move teachers so that their performance can improve even in the current pandemic conditions which require headmasters and teachers to also adapt to new habits. This research aims to determine the headmaster's leadership in managing the empowerment of teachers in the classroom management. This research is a kind of descriptive qualitative research to describe something that continues at the time of the study. The results of this research indicate that the management of the headmaster's by empowering teachers to manage the classroom is well implemented.

Abstract

With the urgency of research in exploring the implementation of the independent curriculum, this study aims to understand how various classroom teaching methods can be used to strengthen students' understanding of concepts and enhance their abilities. The research data is analyzed through a descriptive approach, which is a qualitative method in the context of this study. The results of the study highlight several issues that arise when both schools implement the independent curriculum. One of the main findings is that the independent curriculum encourages teachers to be more creative in designing teaching modules, setting learning objectives, and organizing the flow of learning. As a result, teachers can no longer produce Lesson Implementation Plans (RPP) independently every week. Consequently, the efforts made by schools are more focused on improving the students' profiles that reflect the values of Pancasila. Summative Assessments (PS) are still given to students every day, but not only during the learning process inside the classroom. One important implication of this research is the need to expand the learning space outside the classroom to encourage active and innovative student engagement.

Abstract

This study aims to explore and analyse reflections in the context of Lesson Study, focusing on teacher teaching practices in primary schools. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study method. Learning activities are still in the form of an assignment system and are not centered on students. Thus, students have not been able to be active in the learning process. In addition, there are still many students who are not disciplined in doing assignments. This study aims to provide insight into effective and efficient reflection and feedback activities on good and correct Lesson Study activities. Therefore, this research is important to be carried out because it can improve learning practices by adjusting appropriate learning strategies for learning activities that need to be improved, improving student learning outcomes by developing teaching strategies and adjusting to students, Lesson Study can help improve the quality of learning better, and can increase student participation in learning through more interactive, innovative, and student-centered learning. The team of teachers can find the best solution by drawing on the experiences experienced by fellow teachers. The teacher team analyzed the problems of grade 4 students, to find the right solution for learning. The collaboration of the teacher team in lesson study can observe and analyze each other's teaching practices. This allows them to give each other constructive feedback and suggestions to improve each other's teaching skills. Reflection in lesson study plays an important role in improving teaching practices and student learning achievement. By doing deep reflection, teachers can identify problems, evaluate their practices, and find appropriate solutions. Reflection also involves critical, logical, and analytical thinking to produce structured and weighty thinking

Abstract

Berdasarkan hasil observasi yang dilakukan oleh peneliti di kelas III SD Negeri Laweyan Surakarta, ditemukan bahwa 1) pembelajaran dilakukan tanpa adanya rancangan pembelajaran yang berpihak pada kebutuhan dan karakteristik peserta didik, sehingga pembelajaran cenderung masih konvensional. 2) Keterlibatan peserta didik dalam pembelajaran rendah sehingga peserta didik mudah terdistraksi, tidak antusias dan tidak maksimal, akibat pembelajaran yang masih konvensional. 3) Minat peserta didik terhadap suatu hal yang berpotensi menjadi hal yang dikuasainya kurang diperhatikan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan minat belajar siswa kelas III SD Negeri Laweyan melalui penerapan pembelajaran berdiferensiasi pada materi menemukan informasi pada teks narasi.  Jenis penelitian ini adalah PTK Kolaboratif dengan tahapan perencanaan, pelaksanaan, evaluasi, dan refleksi pada setiap siklusnya. Penelitian ini terdiri dari pra siklus, siklus I, dan siklus II. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas III yang berjumlah 27 siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik tes dan non tes. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pada pra siklus 7,4% (2 siswa) yang tuntas, pada siklus I meningkat menjadi 37,03% (10 siswa) yang tuntas dan pada siklus II meningkat 88,46% (23 siswa) yang tuntas. Kemudian untuk minat belajar siswa menunjukkan bahwa minat belajar rata-rata pada silus 1 sebesar 22,26%, pada siklus I meningkat menjadi 42,2%, dan pada siklus II meningkat menjadi 69,9% Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa pembelajaran berdiferensiasi dengan model pembelajaran problem based learning dengan memperhatikan minat siswa dapat meningkatkan minat dan hasil belajar siswa kelas III SD Negeri Laweyan.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the evaluation of classroom management through reward and punishment in the online learning in Class II SD Djama'atul Ichwan. The research approach used is descriptive qualitative. The data in this study are the results of interviews with grade II teacher and grade II students, observations, documentation, and teacher’s archive. Sources of data in this study were grade II teachers, grade II students, and the online learning process. Data collection techniques are carried out by observation, interviews, and documentation. The instruments used in data collection are observation tables and a list of questions. This study used interactive analysis techniques consisting of data collection, data reduction, data display, and conclusions. The validity of the data was tested by observing persistence and triangulation of data sources. The results of the study showed that, the four stages of evaluation carried out by the teacher were collecting information from various parties (teachers, students, student’s parents), self-evaluation by reflecting on the results of information collection, and periodic evaluation of methods showing good results. The level of discipline, learning motivation, learning effectiveness, student enthusiasm for learning and the conduciveness of the classroom atmosphere are optimal but no change in method was found during the study.

Abstract

Pendidikan karakter memiliki peran penting dalam pembentukan kepribadian peserta didik di sekolah. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi tantangan dan peluang dalam pelaksanaan pendidikan karakter di sekolah dasar. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif, dilaksanakan di SD Gugus 3 Kecamatan Polokarto, Kabupaten Sukoharjo, dengan melibatkan 18 guru sebagai partisipan. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, Focused Group Discussion (FGD), dan tinjauan literatur. Analisis data menggunakan model interaktif Miles & Huberman. Penelitian ini menemukan bahwa masalah utama pendidikan karakter di sekolah dasar meliputi pemahaman yang kurang oleh guru tentang konsep pendidikan karakter, kekurangan sumber daya, dan dampak negatif dari lingkungan sosial dan media. Sebaliknya, peluang besar masih ada, seperti dukungan kebijakan pemerintah maupun sekolah, partisipasi orang tua, dan inovasi dalam pembelajaran. Kajian ini menemukan bahwa sekolah, keluarga, dan masyarakat dapat bekerja sama dengan baik untuk memberikan pendidikan karakter. Character education in elementary schools: Challenges and opportunities Abstract: Character education plays a crucial role in shaping the personality of students in schools. This article aims to identify challenges and opportunities in implementing character education in elementary schools. This study used qualitative methods and was conducted at Elementary School Cluster 3, Polokarto District, Sukoharjo Regency, with 18 teachers participating. Data were collected through observation, Focus Group Discussions (FGDs), and a literature review. Data analysis used the Miles & Huberman interactive model. This study found that the main challenges of character education in elementary schools include teachers' lack of understanding of the concept of character education, a lack of resources, and the negative impact of the social environment and media. Conversely, significant opportunities remain, such as support from government and school policies, parental participation, and innovation in learning. This study found that schools, families, and communities can work together effectively to provide character education.

Abstract

Educating the characters is the process of giving, integrating and, forming teachers' characters for students. In the implementation of the education of characters in the school, the commitment of all the school's residents is required to implement it in a coherent manner. The study aims to analyse the education of characters in two elementary schools base on six pillars of the character, namely trustworthiness, respect, responsibility, fairness, caring, and citizenship. This research method uses qualitative descriptive which describes the implementation of character education in elementary schools. Data collection methods use interviews, observations, and document analysis. Data analysis involves three steps: data reduction, data presentation, and retrieval. The results of this study indicate that character education related to trust, respect, responsibility, fairness, care, and citizenship, has been implemented through various activities, including classroom learning, extracurricular activities, habituation, and collaboration with the local community. The significance of the effective education of characters can improve the quality of overall education. When students have a good personality, they will learn more easily, will be more disciplined and will be able to work together better in a group.

Abstract

The study aims to describe efforts to overcoming inhibiting factors the application of digital learning media in the implementation of independent curricula in primary schools. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach to case studies. Research data is obtained through observation of the learning process using digital learning media, interviews with teachers and documentation studies at the time of learning. The results of this study indicate that 1) The digital learning media has been implemented quite well, teachers feel helped by the presence of digital learning medium, in addition to the ease of access also because of its interesting presentation so that the pupils become more focused and interested to follow the learning activities. 2) In the application of digital media in SDN 1 Sambi there are several obstacles including: Lack of teacher ability in exploring various kinds of digital learning media. There is a shortage of digital learning facilities and facilities, and there is a lack of internet access, especially during the rainy season. 3) To solve these problems, appropriate solutions are needed: teachers should improve their ability to use media technology by following training programs outside, such as workshops, spots, or seminars related to the application of digital learning media, whereas on network barriers can be overcome by changing classes, so that the class that is far from the reach of wifi can switch with the class close to the wifi source to get the same facilities.
