Abstract

Educational supervision is a strategic effort to improve the quality of learning and teacher professionalism. This study aims to analyze the concept and planning of supervision by elementary school principals in improving the quality of education. The method used is a literature review by analyzing various relevant scientific articles, books, and research results. The results show that the principal's supervision includes academic, non-academic, and managerial supervision with principles of being objective, systematic, sustainable, and humanistic. Effective supervision planning includes needs analysis, goal setting, program preparation, instrument determination, and scheduling. The implementation of supervision uses techniques such as classroom observation, interviews, and discussions with clinical, collaborative, and directive approaches. Evaluation and follow-up are crucial stages that include providing constructive feedback and continuous improvement programs. Barriers to supervision include time constraints, principal competence, and teacher resistance. Solutions include training, strengthening communication, and utilizing technology. The conclusion of this study confirms that systematic and sustainable supervision planning by the principal can significantly improve the quality of education in elementary schools.

Abstract

Dana Bantuan Operasional Sekolah (BOS) merupakan instrumen kebijakan pemerintah yang strategis dalam mewujudkan pemerataan layanan pendidikan dasar di Indonesia. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengkaji efektivitas penggunaan dana BOS dalam mendukung kegiatan pembelajaran di sekolah dasar sekaligus menganalisis faktor-faktor yang memengaruhi optimalisasinya. Metode yang digunakan adalah Systematic Literature Review (SLR) terhadap sepuluh artikel ilmiah yang dipilih secara sistematis dari berbagai jurnal bereputasi nasional dan internasional melalui proses skrining berbasis kriteria inklusi dan eksklusi yang ketat. Hasil kajian menemukan bahwa penggunaan dana BOS secara transparan, akuntabel, dan tepat sasaran berkontribusi signifikan terhadap peningkatan kualitas pembelajaran melalui tiga jalur utama: (1) penyediaan sarana dan prasarana yang memadai, (2) pengembangan kompetensi tenaga pendidik secara berkelanjutan, dan (3) pembiayaan keberlangsungan kegiatan akademik yang bermakna. Empat faktor kunci yang menentukan efektivitas dana BOS adalah: (1) transparansi dan akuntabilitas pengelolaan, (2) kompetensi manajerial kepala sekolah, (3) partisipasi aktif komite sekolah, dan (4) ketersediaan sistem pelaporan digital yang terintegrasi. Temuan ini menegaskan urgensi transformasi tata kelola keuangan sekolah yang mencakup penguatan standar operasional prosedur (SOP), akselerasi digitalisasi pelaporan melalui platform ARKAS, revitalisasi peran komite sekolah sebagai mitra strategis, serta peningkatan kompetensi sumber daya manusia sebagai prasyarat utama efektivitas dana BOS dalam mendukung mutu pembelajaran di era pendidikan berkeadilan.

Abstract

Perkembangan ekonomi digital menuntut pekerja migran Indonesia memiliki keterampilan pemasaran digital sebagai bekal kemandirian ekonomi dan peningkatan daya saing global. Peserta didik Pusat Kegiatan Belajar Masyarakat (PKBM) Perhimpunan Pelajar Indonesia (PPI) Taiwan masih menghadapi keterbatasan dalam menyusun strategi pemasaran, membuat konten promosi yang menarik, serta mengelola media sosial dan marketplace, yang diperparah oleh keterbatasan waktu, akses pelatihan berkelanjutan, dan minimnya pendampingan praktik. Program pengabdian internasional ini bertujuan memberdayakan peserta didik melalui pelatihan manajemen pemasaran digital yang dilaksanakan secara daring, aplikatif, dan kontekstual dengan kebutuhan pekerja migran sebagai bagian dari upaya pemberdayaan ekonomi komunitas pekerja migran Indonesia. Program dilaksanakan menggunakan pendekatan partisipatif melalui tahapan analisis kebutuhan, pelatihan manajemen pemasaran digital, pembuatan konten promosi, pendampingan proyek pemasaran, dan evaluasi. Metode pelaksanaan dilakukan secara daring melalui pendekatan partisipatif dan berbasis praktik. Hasil pelaksanaan menunjukkan peningkatan yang signifikan pada kompetensi peserta didik, ditunjukkan oleh rata-rata skor pre-test sebesar 56,4 yang meningkat menjadi 82,7 pada post-test (peningkatan 46,6%). Selain itu, 80% peserta mampu merancang dan membuat konten promosi sederhana, serta 86% peserta menunjukkan peningkatan kepercayaan diri dalam memanfaatkan media digital untuk aktivitas usaha. Program ini juga memberikan dampak positif terhadap penguatan peran PKBM PPI Taiwan sebagai pusat pemberdayaan ekonomi komunitas pekerja migran, yang tercermin dari meningkatnya partisipasi dan kesiapan peserta dalam mengembangkan usaha berbasis digital secara mandiri. Dengan demikian, program ini berpotensi menjadi model pengabdian internasional berbasis pemasaran digital yang kontekstual, aplikatif, dan berkelanjutan bagi pendidikan nonformal pekerja migran Indonesia.

Abstract

Manajemen waktu guru merupakan komponen strategis dalam menjaga kualitas layanan pendidikan, khususnya di sekolah yang mengemban program berlapis. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis manajemen waktu tenaga pendidik di SD Negeri Kalisemo, Kecamatan Loano, Kabupaten Purworejo, Jawa Tengah, yang secara bersamaan menjalankan program Adiwiyata Tingkat Provinsi dan mengimplementasikan mata pelajaran pilihan Koding dan Kecerdasan Artifisial (KA). Analisis dilakukan menggunakan kerangka fungsi manajemen Planning, Organizing, Actuating, Controlling, dan Evaluating (POACE), diperkuat dengan diagnosis akar masalah melalui Diagram Fishbone (6M). Metode yang digunakan adalah studi kasus kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data berupa wawancara mendalam semi-terstruktur dan telaah dokumen kurikulum (KSP, PROTA, Jadwal Pelajaran). Penelitian melibatkan dua narasumber: seorang guru kelas berstatus PPPK tersertifikasi dan seorang murid kelas V sebagai representasi perspektif penerima layanan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sekolah telah menerapkan fungsi POACE dengan cukup baik, namun ditemukan kerentanan sistemik berupa konflik alokasi waktu antara proyek Adiwiyata dan jam pelajaran inti, khususnya Koding. Identifikasi melalui Fishbone menemukan enam kategori akar masalah: faktor manusia (kelelahan dan kompetensi ganda), metode (absennya SOP konflik jadwal), teknologi (keterbatasan fasilitas), kurikulum (kepadatan 42 JP/minggu), evaluasi (tidak adanya instrumen beban kerja), dan lingkungan (tuntutan ganda program). Penelitian ini merekomendasikan: (1) perencanaan terintegrasi dan adaptif berbasis risiko, (2) audit beban kerja periodik, (3) formalisasi instrumen evaluasi berbasis perspektif murid, dan (4) penguatan komunitas belajar sebagai modal sosial manajemen waktu kolaboratif.

Abstract

Studi ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis berbagai permasalahan dalam penerapan manajemen layanan khusus bagi Anak Berkebutuhan Khusus (ABK) di sekolah inklusi dengan menggunakan teknik identifikasi fishbone (diagram sebab-akibat). Studi ini menerapkan metode kualitatif-deskriptif dengan desain studi literatur. Data diperoleh dari berbagai sumber pustaka yang relevan, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan diagram fishbone untuk mengidentifikasi akar penyebab permasalahan. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa implementasi manajemen layanan khusus bagi ABK dalam penerapan pendidikan inklusif masih menghadapi berbagai permasalahan pada aspek sumber daya manusia, sarana prasarana, kebijakan, pembelajaran, lingkungan, serta kondisi ABK yang belum optimal. Hambatan utama meliputi keterbatasan GPK, kurangnya fasilitas dan dukungan, lemahnya kebijakan, serta belum optimalnya pembelajaran diferensiasi dan PPI. Secara keseluruhan, kondisi ini berdampak pada masih rendahnya efektivitas layanan pendidikan inklusif di sekolah dasar. Melalui analisis fishbone, permasalahan dapat diidentifikasi secara sistematis berdasarkan kategori penyebab sehingga memudahkan dalam merumuskan solusi yang tepat. Kesimpulan penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa peningkatan kualitas manajemen layanan khusus ABK di sekolah inklusi memerlukan perbaikan menyeluruh pada aspek sumber daya manusia, fasilitas, kebijakan, serta kolaborasi antar stakeholder. Temuan ini diharapkan dapat menjadi landasan dasar dalam pengembangan model layanan khusus bagi ABK dalam implementasi pendidikan inklusif yang lebih efektif dan berkelanjutan.

Abstract

Objective: This study examined adults’ attitudes toward body safety education and sexual harassment awareness as two separate concepts in early childhood on CSA prevention, and the provision of these concepts through stories that align with Islamic principles and contribute to SDGs 4, 5, and 16. Theoretical framework:  This study is grounded in four levels of Bronfenbrenner's Ecological Systems Theory by exploring the five dimensions that contribute to CSA prevention. Literature review: Most global stories on CSA prevention lack cultural adaptation for Eastern and Islamic communities. This study addresses the gap by focusing on integrating Islamic morals. Methods: This study is a mixed-methods descriptive cross-sectional study. In November 2025, data were collected online (N = 338) in Egypt, Indonesia and other nations utilising a 28-item structured questionnaire on a 5-point Likert scale and an optional open-ended question. Quantitative data were analysed using Jamovi and JASP Software for descriptive and inferential statistics, and qualitative data were analysed using thematic analysis. Results: The findings reveal that 87% (N = 294) of participants agree and strongly agree with the six factors that enhance the prevention of CSA. Qualitative data assessed on shared responsibility,18.40%, and integration of Islamic morals, 6.30%. Implications:  This study highlights the capability of future story-based interventions to align with the Islamic perspective and global frameworks like SDGs to enhance child protection. Novelty: This study highlights the operationalisation of Bronfenbrenner’s theory to design Islamic stories as a CSA prevention in the Middle East and Southeast Asia.

Abstract

Academic supervision is a series of activities organized by the school principal and a team of supervisors to assist teachers in developing their ability to manage the learning process so that learning objectives are achieved. The objectives of academic supervision are to enhance teachers’ professionalism and competence, foster and strengthen motivation in carrying out teaching duties, improve the quality of the learning process and outcomes, and help align educational programs with the needs and conditions of the environment. This study aims to examine the implementation of academic supervision by school principals so that in the future, both principals and teachers can implement supervision more effectively and minimize obstacles. This study employs a literature review approach based on 19 national articles. The results indicate that, overall, the implementation of academic supervision in several Indonesian elementary schools is quite good in accordance with existing standards. However, numerous obstacles were also identified in the implementation of academic supervision, such as teachers feeling burdened by supervision, schedules sometimes conflicting with the principal’s events, incomplete teacher documentation, teachers’ lack of preparedness for supervision, the absence of a standardized academic supervision format, the principal’s insufficient knowledge and understanding of academic supervision, time constraints, and the principal being overly busy. Therefore, an appropriate implementation strategy is necessary to ensure that academic supervision is carried out effectively and efficiently.

Abstract

Purpose of the study: This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of the School Literacy Movement (GLS) in shaping students' reading habits and literacy culture in primary education, particularly in rural elementary schools. Methodology: A qualitative evaluation approach was used, adopting the Kaufman five-level evaluation model. Data were gathered through observation, structured interviews, and documentation across six elementary schools in the Sudirman cluster, Wonogiri District, using triangulation and interactive data analysis. Main Findings: The study finds that the effectiveness of GLS implementation is closely linked to leadership commitment, teacher involvement, student participation, and documentation systems. Schools with structured routines, contextual innovation, and community support show stronger outcomes in reading habits, student expression, and collaborative literacy culture. Novelty/Originality of this study: This study uniquely applies Kaufman's evaluation model in a rural education setting, capturing not only program performance but also the integration of literacy into school routines and culture. It presents a contextualized analysis of GLS, offering a practical framework for policy refinement and school-based literacy development.

Abstract

In the development of a country, education is an important aspect and a good management system is an important factor for achieving an educational goal. Indonesia and Malaysia have similar backgrounds but these two countries have differences in terms of providing education management of elementary school. Reflecting on it, this study raises the topic of a comparison of elementary school educational management in Indonesia and Malaysia. This paper aims to compare the elementary school educational management in Malaysia and Indonesia. A qualitative approach was used in this research. Data were obtained through literature studies of books and scientific journal articles that pay attention to their relevance.  Data analyzed by comparative analysis. The results show education management planning, organizing, actuating, and controlling in both countries that have differences and similarities. This study shows the actualization of elementary educational management in these two countries and hopefully this study can recommend improvements in terms of education management.

Abstract

The article aims to compare the implementation of education for children with special needs in primary schools in Malaysia and Indonesia. This study used a descriptive qualitative approach. Data was used using literature studies, observations, and interviews. The subjects used were elementary schools in Surakarta City, Indonesia, and Malaysia. The data is analyzed by means of comparative analysis. The results showed that Indonesia and Malaysia apply the concept of inclusion in the education of children with special needs. In terms of Technology, Malaysia is more advanced by introducing educational Technology such as applications and assistive Technology. This study shows a comparison of education for children with special needs in the two countries, and it is hoped that this study can recommend good practices for the effectiveness and improvement of the quality of education for children with special needs in elementary schools.
