Abstract

Abstract

This study discusses the reflexive thematic analysis (RTA) approach as an effective qualitative strategy for understandingthe phenomenon of multicultural education. This researchemploys a conceptual paper approach. RTA provides researcherswith the opportunity to actively build themes based on a reflectiveinterpretation of participants' experiences within their socio-cultural contexts. The study focuses on the ethnoparentingpractices of the Malay community in a transmigration area as a case study, illustrating how local cultural values such as religiosity, responsibility, and courtesy are constructed andpassed down in the early childhood education process. Throughin-depth thematic analysis using tools like Nvivo, it was foundthat character education based on local culture plays a significant role in shaping the identity and core values oflearners. RTA proves to be a flexible and profound approach in exploring context-specific educational dynamics, contributingsignificantly to the development of a more inclusive, humanistic, and locally grounded educational model.

Abstract

Research and Development (RnD) is a systematic approach tocreating and developing educational products based on the actualneeds in the field. One of the most widely used models in R&D development is the ADDIE instructional design model, whichconsists of five main stages: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. This article comprehensivelydiscusses the basic theory, advantages, disadvantages, andapplication of the ADDIE model in the context of formal and non-formal education development. Through several reviews ofvarious national and international studies, it can be found thatthe ADDIE model is very effective in improving the quality oflearning, integrating technology, and is relevant to variousaspects, including for students with special needs and vocationaleducation. With a highly flexible and evaluative structure, ADDIE has become one of the leading models in the systematic, efficient, and adaptive design of educational products in response to thedevelopment of time and technology.

Abstract

The sago business in the Bagan Melibur Village has been around for a long time, but has not provided welfare for the community. So far, the processing of sago sandal is still in the traditional way, namely the direct drying process under the hot sun and the human-powered sago processing process, so that the production period is quite long and the results obtained are less. For this reason, this service has the aim of developing the potential of the Bagan Melibur village community in managing sago into various kinds of processed foods and beverages, one of which is a dry sago sandal (celsring). To be able to speed up the celsring processing process, it is necessary to use tools such as ultraviolet housings, so that the drying process can be carried out under any conditions. This tool can speed up the production period and production results. This community service was carried out in the Bagan Melibur Village, Merbau District, Meranti Islands Regency uses the extension method. Based on the service activities carried out, the Celsring product brand is produced which is ready to be marketed outside the Bagan Melibur area.

Abstract

Communities in the Air Dingin, Pekanbaru City, have a variety of sources of livelihood, and one of them is home-based businesses or micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) engaged in various sectors, both services, and products. However, many of these businesses have not developed optimally, especially in terms of promotion and sales. This is supported by the low level of technology literacy among business owners so that digital promotion and sales are not carried out optimally. Seeing this, Riau University students who are members of the Abdimas Integrated Kukerta (real work course) 2022 team carried out real work course to the people of the Air Dingin village to disseminate digital marketing channels to increase the creative economic potential of the Air Dingin village. The Kukerta team also assists to increase promotion and sales by designing product packaging and various important components that are included, as well as creating product sales accounts on various digital marketing channels such as Instagram, Facebook, and Whatsapp. In addition to improving the regional creative economy, this activity is also expected to introduce regional potential.
