Abstract

Pecahan berurutan merupakan salah satu materi penting dalam pembelajaran aljabar yang digunakan untuk mempelajari materi yang lain. Namun, faktanya masih banyak siswa yang mengalami kesulitan dalam belajar pecahan berurutan disebabkan pembelajaran yang didominasi cara-cara formal sehingga hal ini tidak dapat mendukung pemahaman siswa tentang konsep pecahan berurutan. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan aktivitas belajar yang menekankan pada pemahaman konsep daripada strategi formal. Peneliti merancang 3 aktivitas pembelajaran pecahan berurutan dengan menggunakan pendekatan PMRI.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan kontribusi berupa Local Instrucstional Theory (LIT) tentang materi pecahan berurutan. Penelitian ini melibatkan pada siklus 1 melibatkan 6 orang siswa dan pada siklus ke 2 melibatkan 36 siswa serta seorang guru model di SMP Negeri 55 Palembang. Data dikumpulkan melalui lembar kerja siswa, pre-test, post-test, video dan interview. Data dianalisis dengan cara membandingkan Hyphotetical Learning Trajectory (HLT) dan apa yang terjadi selama proses pembelajaran. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan kartu pecahan dapat mendukung pemahaman siswa dalam memahami pecahan siswa dari tahap informal ke tahap formal.

Abstract

Natural Science subjects consisting of Physics, Chemistry and Biology are given to all students starting from elementary school to equip students with logical, analytical, systematic, critical, and creative thinking skills, as well as the ability to work together. According to the Organization for Economics Cooperation and Development (OECD) in 2013, the conception of Science literacy in the PISA (Program for International Student Assessment) supports the importance of students developing a solid understanding of the concepts of pure science and science education and the benefits involved in exploration in the abstract world that exists. on the universe. This study resulted in an analysis of science learning strategies for students of the Department of Science Education that support higher order thinking skills in Science. Two (2) parts of the material will be discussed more focused, namely (a) learning materials and (b) learning strategies. With the learning syllabus that supports the High Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) questions, the opportunity to increase the value of Science education (Physics, Chemistry, Biology) is greater, one of which is the preparation of challenging questions. Challenging science questions will meet the criteria for high-level questions (PISA has question levels from level 1 to level 6). HOTS questions support the development of a solid understanding of pure Science and Science Education concepts. The data sources used in the preparation of this research are the results of the 2000, 2003, 2006, 2009, 2012, 2015 and 2018. PISA surveys and the 2013 curriculum book sourced from the Ministry of Education and Culture.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat peran penggunaan Jigsaw Puzzles dan menghasilkan lintasan belajar siswa menggunakan pendekatan PMRI dari tahap informal ke tahap formal untuk kelas IV. Tujuan tersebut secara bertahap adalah untuk melihat kemampuan siswa dalam menentukan konsep Faktor Persekutuan terbesar (FPB) dan menyelesaikan masalah soal cerita berkaitan Faktor Persekutuan terbesar (FPB). Metode yang digunakan adalah design research dengan tahap preliminary design, teaching experiment, dan retrospective analysis. Dalam penelitian ini, terdiri dari instruksi dan konjektur pembelajaran didesain dan dikembangkan berdasarkan hipotesis pembelajaran dan menggunakan pendekatan PMRI. Subjek penelitian terdiri dari 22 siswa kelas IV.A SD Negeri 55 Pagaralam. Penelitian ini menghasilkan Learning Trajectory yang memuat serangkaian proses pembelajaran dalam dua aktivitas yaitu menemukan konsep FPB dan menyelesaikan masalah soal cerita berkaitan dengan FPB. Hasil dari penelitian menunjukkan bahwa peran media Jigsaw Puzzles menggunakan pendekatan PMRI dapat membantu siswa memahami konsep materi FPB.

Abstract

Geometri berperan penting dalam menunjang pemahaman siswa pada topik matematika lainnya. Dalam proses pembelajaran di kelas, kurikulum Indonesia saat ini menekankan pentingnya kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi siswa. Bagi siswa yang tidak terbiasa mengerjakan soal tipe Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS), mereka akan mengalami beberapa kesulitan. Penelitian ini adalah jenis penelitian deskriptif kualitatif yang bertujuan untuk menggambarkan kesulitan siswa dalam menyelesaikan permasalahan geometri yang dikategorikan ke dalam level HOTS. Subjek penelitian adalah 20 siswa di sekolah menengah di Sumatra Selatan. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan lembar kerja siswa. Data yang dikumpulkan dianalisis secara kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa siswa kesulitan dalam melihat tampilan susunan benda yang dilihat dari sudut pandang sisi tertentu; siswa kesulitan dalam memprediksi benda yang tidak terlihat secara langsung sehingga mempengaruhi perhitungannya; siswa kesulitan dalam merancang balok dengan ukuran panjang, lebar, dan tinggi yang memenuhi ukuran volume tertentu; dan siswa kesulitan dalam mengevaluasi jawaban yang telah diperoleh berdasarkan kesesuaian dengan ukuran volume balok yang diberikan. Dibutuhkan upaya agar mampu membantu siswa mengatasi kesuliatan - kesulitan dalam menyelesaikan soal geometri tipe HOTS.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the role of teachers in facing the challenges of early mathematics learning in early childhood so that can be one of the teacher's reference sources in teaching beginning mathematics. This research is a literature study through the stages of problem formulation, literature searching, data evaluation, analysis, and interpretation. The analysis technique that is used is descriptive analysis. For finding out the role of teachers, teachers should first pay attention to the principles of early childhood learning by considering the characteristics of early childhood. The teacher's role can be concluded from this article through three stages, namely the role of the teacher in planning, the role of the teacher in implementation, and the role of the teacher in evaluating. At the planning stage, the teacher prepares a learning tool that is adjusted to the child's characteristics and learning principles. At the implementation stage, the teacher is a facilitator. Whereas at the evaluation stage, the teacher reviews the material that has been given by the child with the planned tool can be in the form of making a community and workshop to share and find solutions to problems. Keywords: Early Mathematics, Early Childhood, The Role of The Teacher Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan peran guru dalam menghadapi tantangan pembelajaran matematika permulaan pada anak usia dini sehingga dapat menjadi salah satu sumber acuan guru dalam mengajarkan matematika permulaan. Penelitian ini merupakan studi literatur melalui tahap formulasi masalah, pencarian literatur, evaluasi data, analisis, dan interpretasi. Teknik analisis yang digunakan yaitu analisis deskriptif. Untuk mengetahui peran guru, sebaiknya guru terlebih dahulu memperhatikan prinsip pembelajaran anak usia dini dengam mempertimbangkan karakteristik anak usia dini. Adapun peran guru yang dapat disimpulkan dari artikel ini melalui tiga tahapan yaitu peran guru dalam perencanaan, peran guru dalam pelaksanaan, dan peran guru dalam mengevaluasi. Pada tahap perencanaan guru mempersiapkan perangkat pembelajaran yang disesuaikan dengan karakteristik anak dan prinsip pembelajaran. Pada tahap pelaksanaan guru sebagai fasilitator. Sedangkan pada tahap evaluasi guru mengulas materi yang sudah diberikan anak dengan perangkat yang telah direncanakan dapat berupa membuat komunitas dan lokakarya untuk saling berbagi dan menemukan solusi dari permasalahan. Kata Kunci: Matematika Permulaan, Anak Usia Dini, Peran Guru.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan menghasilkan lintasan belajar siswa dalam pembelajaran pengukuran sudut berdasarkan pendekatan PMRI di kelas VI. Penelitian ini menggunakan design research yang melibatkan 32 siswa kelas VI SD Negeri 182 Palembang. Hasil penelitian berupa Learning Trajectory yang memuat serangkaian proses pembelajaran tentang pengukuran sudut yaitu mengenal dan mengetahui unit pengukuran untuk menentukan besar sudut melalui membandingkan dua sudut yang berbeda. Dari aktivitas yang dilakukan dapat membantu meningkatkan pemahaman siswa tentang pengukuran sudut.

Abstract

This activity is carried out to provide understanding to teachers related to independent learning planning. Apart from that, to train teachers in making lesson plans using the context in the surrounding environment. The environmental context can be used for the learning process to understand more real concepts or subject matter. The method used is lecture, question and answer and practice. The result of this service activity is an understanding related to the preparation of independent learning learning plans for middle school teachers in Pagar Alam, South Sumatra using the existing context in the environment. Apart from that, all training participants can show a good response and improve teacher professionalism.

Abstract

This development research aims to produce PISA-like mathematics problems with quantity content using a valid and practical COVID-19 context and to investigate the potential effect of these problems on mathematical literacy skills. This research employed a development research design with two stages: preliminary and formative evaluations. This study also employed the Lesson Study Learning Community (LSLC) system in the process of development and implementation. This study involved eighth-grade students aged 13-15 years at SMP Negeri 19 Palembang. The data were collected using walk-through, document, observation, interview, and test techniques. This study produced 6 units and 12 items of PISA-like mathematics problems with several content characteristics of the COVID-19 context, including working, personal, and social contexts and levels that agree with the 2018 PISA framework; and competence processes, such as mathematical literacy skills and standardized linguistic skills that can be applied and interpreted by students. To conclude, the developed PISA-like mathematics problems are valid and practical and potentially affect mathematical literacy skills and learning to confront life skills during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Abstract

This study aims to produce valid and practical PISA-based numerical problems in the context of the pandemic period and to find out the role of the questions in the form of potential effects on the mathematical literacy skills of secondary school students. This research uses developmental research design, which has 2 stages, namely preliminary and formative evaluation (self evaluation, expert review, one-to-one and small group validation, and field test). The participants in this study were students in Grade 8 who were under the age of 15 and different levels of skills. Data analysis was done descriptively by conducting observations, tests, interviews, and document analysis. The research was conducted face-to-face and via Zoom and WhatsApp Group (WAG) to produce valid and practical PISA-like arithmetic questions. Based on the students' responses, it can be stated that the questions presented are in the practical category because they can be completed quickly by students, they can be understood well by students, and they have the potential effect on students' mathematical literacy skills. In addition, there is a diversity of answers between one students and another according to the level of difficulty that is appropriate for Grade 8 students. This proves that a PISA-like numeration problem in the context of the religious day during a pandemic can help improve students' mathematical literacy.

Abstract

This study aims to determine mathematical abilities of the students in grade 8 in solving statistical problem using RME and LSLC in online learning during the COVID-19 pandemic. Learning began with the provision of were given interactive videos as an asynchronous pre-learning stage. Furthermore, at the synchronous stage, students were given sharing tasks and jumping tasks then synchronous activities were closed by giving independent assignments. In asynchronous pre-learning, students sent independent assignments via Google Classroom at a predetermined time. Subjects in this study were 31 eight graders junior high school students. This research used a descriptive method, where the data were obtained by using observation, test, and interview. The data were analyzed qualitatively descriptively.The result of this study is students’ abilities in a good category with an average  68,5. Therefore, it is concluded that RME and LSLC are suitable for use during a pandemic as teaching methods for statistics.
