The research results show the p-value of the direct effect on sexual behavior, knowledge variables (p=0.016), parenting patterns (p=0.004) and spiritual beliefs (p=0.005), attitudes (p=0.305). Simultaneously the p-value of all independent variables on sexual behavior (p=0.014). Taken together in the indirect effect, intention was not a significant mediating variable (p=0.159>0.05). The conclusion of this research is that there is a direct effect between knowledge, parenting patterns and spiritual beliefs and there is no direct effect between attitudes towards sexual behavior. Simultaneously, all independent variables have a direct effect on sexual behavior. The indirect effect of intention was not a significant mediation in this study.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the implementation and effectiveness of the Adaptive Neuro-Fuzzy Inference System (ANFIS) based Quantitative Structure Retention Relationship (QSRR) to predict the Kovats retention index of compounds in gas chromatography. The model was trained using 340 essential oil compounds and their molecular descriptors. The evaluation of the ANFIS models revealed promising results, achieving an R2 of 0.974, an RMSE of 48.12, and an MAPE of 3.3% on the testing set. These findings highlight the ANFIS approach as remarkably accurate in its predictive capacity for determining the Kovats retention index in the context of gas chromatography. This study provides valuable perspectives on the efficiency of retention index prediction through ANFIS-based QSRR methods and the potential practicality in compound analysis and chromatographic optimization.

Abstract

A cataract is a condition characterized by clouding of the eye's lens. Senile cataracts progress through four stages: incipient, immature, mature, and hypermature. These stages are determined by the degree of lens cloudiness and the extent of lens mass involvement. In the hypermature stage, the entire lens capsule becomes wrinkled, and its contents become either solid and wrinkled or soft and liquid. An 83-year-old female patient presented to the Department of Ophthalmology at RSUD dr. Zainoel Abidin Banda Aceh with a gradual decrease in vision over the past four years. Ophthalmological examination using a slit lamp revealed cloudiness throughout the lens mass, a brownish-white lens color, wrinkling of the anterior capsule, and visible zonular dehiscence at approximately 90 degrees. The patient's left eye pressure measured 23 mmHg. A surgical plan for Intracapsular Cataract Extraction (ICCE) was made. Despite the surgery, the patient's visual function remained poor. Consequently, a second surgery for IOL insertion was scheduled six weeks after the initial procedure. The patient's visual function is anticipated to improve following the second IOL insertion surgery.

Abstract

This study aimed to figure out students' responses toward using the fix-up options strategy in comprehending text personal recount. The qualitative method was used to collect the data. The sample was the second grade of Pos Keadilan Peduli Ummat (PKPU) junior high school students, which consisted of 22 students. The open-ended questionnaire was distributed as the instrument for collecting the data. It consists of three questions that relate to students’ opinions on this strategy. The data was analyzed by using an interactive model. The result of this study indicated that there were positive responses from the students toward fix-up options strategy implementation in comprehending personal text recount. Most students consider this strategy beneficial in supporting their comprehension of reading a text. The students' opinions were categorized into agreeing and disagreeing group participants. The fix-up options strategy was useful in fixing the problem encountered during the reading process. Therefore, the teacher could use this strategy to support students' reading comprehension in other genres of text.

Abstract

Argumentation skills are important to train in learning, so that students have logical reasoning, a clear and rational view of the things being studied. This research aims to examine the implementation of the lesson study-based problem based learning (PBL) model in improving students' argumentation skills. The method used in this research is classroom action research with a quantitative descriptive approach carried out in two cycles. Data was collected using pretest-posttest instruments, argumentation skills observation sheets (Toulmin's argumentation pattern), and lesson study-based PBL syntax implementation observation sheets. The results showed that there was an increase in the implementation of PBL syntax from cycle I (76.9%) to cycle II (92.3%). Likewise, there was a significant increase in students' argumentation skills in each cycle. In the first cycle, there was an increase in the distribution of posttest scores where the percentage of students began to reach levels 3 and 4, while in the second cycle, there was a further increase where the majority of students managed to reach levels 3 and 4 in argumentation skills. The conclusion of this research is that the implementation of lesson study-based PBL can effectively improve students' argumentation skills. It is recommended that further research conduct an in-depth study of the content in each component of argumentation so that a more holistic understanding of students' argumentation skills is obtained.

Abstract

This study identifies the limitations of conventional teaching methods, such as textbooks and lectures, in delivering Pancasila education to fourth-grade elementary school students. These methods could be more engaging and effective in improving students' learning outcomes and understanding of the subject matter. This research aims to develop an interactive and engaging E-module to enhance students' learning outcomes and understanding of Pancasila values. This research employed a developmental approach known as Randomized Controlled Trial (RCT) using the 4D model (Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate). The validity of the E-module is assessed through expert validation involving media and subject matter experts. The evaluation results demonstrate the high validity of the developed Pancasila Education E-module, created using Canva for Education and assisted by Flip PDF Professional. The Aiken V index indicates a score of 0.87%, with all evaluation aspects falling within the 0.8 ≤ V ≤ 1 range. Moreover, the practicality of the E-module is confirmed, with a practicality level of 84.3%. The E-module was tested by teachers and fourth-grade students, with the involvement of the entire class. The test results show an improvement in students' learning outcomes, with an overall pretest percentage of 95.5% and a post-test percentage of 92.5%. Hence, the Pancasila Education E-module effectively enhances students' learning outcomes and understanding of Pancasila values. This research enriches the teaching methods of Pancasila education in fourth-grade elementary schools.
