As it has been widely known that the spectacular characteristics of nanomaterials are strongly dependent on their particle size, crystal structure, and molecular arrangement. The fine structure formation of nanomaterials is inevitable in an attempt of optimizing their promising applications in various fields. One of the notable nanomaterials up to now is hausmannite or Mn3O4. This paper presents a combination of coprecipitation and sonochemical routes in a concurrent way to produce spinel-structured hausmannite nanomaterials. The pH was varied during the synthesis at values of 9, 10, 11, 11.5, and 12. The crystal structure properties were evaluated by X-ray diffractometry (XRD) with the diffraction angle range of 15° - 80°. The functional groups were investigated by Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectrometry having wavenumber from 400 to 4000 cm-1. In this study, pH 10 was found to be the best synthesis parameter in producing Mn3O4. Both XRD and FTIR data analyses have agreed on the formation of spinel hausmannite nanomaterials.

Education cannot be separated from the role of a teacher and the teaching style used. The teaching style is a technique in presenting the teaching content. So that the teaching style can attract students' interest. Dead Poets Society is an educational film with the theme of Education. This film tells the story of an English teacher who inspires his students by teaching poetry using his unique teaching style named John Keating. He uses a different teaching style from other teachers in giving lessons till the students are interested to learn poetry. The object of this research is the main character in this film that is Mr. John Keating and the students’ interest in the teaching style used by the main character. The method This research uses qualitative descriptive. The result of this research was found that there were two types of teaching styles used by the main character in Dead Poets Society film. Those are Personalize Teaching Style and Interactional Teaching Style. Meanwhile, the students’ interest in responding to the teaching style used by the main character are only some of the appropriate indicators, those are Concentration while learning, focusing while the teacher explains the material, Enthusiastic to follow the lesson, trying to do the task difficult as any, enjoying in doing the task or exercise given by the teacher at school, having a high enthusiastic to the lesson and the teacher, and the last is answering the question from the teacher.

This study aims to identify the social values of Islamic religiosity in the indicators of religious moderation formulated by the Ministry of Religion of the Republic of Indonesia. This research center uses a normative-philosophical approach with analytical theory in the form of a Prophetic Social Science paradigm that was initiated by Kuntowijoyo. The results of the study show that there are various prophetic social values of Islam contained in the four indicators of religious moderation in Indonesia. First, the value of transcendence in the indicator of tolerance as a mindset and social attitude to realize an attitude of religious moderation, both in the context of inter-religious and intra-religious life. Second, the value of humanization in moderation indicators in the form of an attitude of national commitment and accommodative to local culture can take the form of various forms of benefit in order to maintain nationalism and plural local wisdom in Indonesia. Third, the value of liberation in indicators of anti-radicalism attitudes as an effort to realize the framework of realizing a safe and peaceful life.

A simple chemical approach was developed to synthesize reduced graphene oxide (RGO) from corncob waste through the acid-base method with the addition of PEG-2000 at specific concentrations. The morphology and structure of RGO were characterized by scanning electron microscopy and energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy. The process of reduction and quality of RGO were examined carefully with UV-Vis spectroscopy, infrared spectroscopy, and X-ray diffractometry. Based on the treatment and characterization, the diffraction data showed a prominent peak of RGO at a 2-theta position of 24.01°. The existence of C=C functional groups was detected in aromatic compound groups and alkene functional groups in aliphatic hydrocarbon compounds by infrared spectroscopy. The use of corncobs as the main raw material synthesized by an environmentally friendly route has tremendous potential in producing RGO that can be used as an efficient semiconductor material.

Ferogel berbasis partikel Fe3O4 yang diperoleh dari bahan dasar pasir besi Tulungagung telah berhasil difabrikasi. Ferogel merupakan komposit hidrogel (campuran polivinil alkohol dan air) dengan filler partikel magnetit Fe3O4 dalam ukuran mikron dan nano. Hasil analisis difraksi sinar-X menunjukkan bahwa partikel magnetik Fe3O4 ukuran mikron dan nano berturut-turut sesuai dengan pola difraksi Fe3O4 yang memiliki no PDF 11-0626 dan no PDF 03-0863. Sedangkan dari hasil karakterisasi SEM dan TEM ukuran mikron partikel Fe3O4 sekitar 1-10 μm dan ukuran nano partikel Fe3O4 sekitar 11-15 nm. Kontribusi filler magnetik Fe3O4 pada komposit ferogel dapat terlihat pada karakterisasi magneto-elastisitasnya. Ketika ferogel dipengaruhi oleh medan magnetik luar yang berubah terhadap fungsi arus listrik, respon gerak ferogel cenderung membentuk pola histerisis dan menyempit seiring berkurangnya konsentrasi. Ferogel dengan filler partikel mikron Fe3O4 lebih sensitif terhadap pengaruh perubahan medan magnet dibandingkan filler partikel nano Fe3O4. Hal ini disebabkan karena magnet remanen partikel mikron Fe3O4 (8,233 emu/gr) lebih besar dibandingkan partikel nano Fe3O4 (7,995 emu/gr). Respon ferogel dalam kajian penelitian ini dapat dikembangkan untuk mensintesa otot buatan dengan pendekatan eksperimen mulai dari yang mirip penggerak pada robot sampai pada penggerak lunak yang lebih canggih.

Abstract: This study was purposed to determine the mastery and difficulty concepts of Senior High School students in Newton’s law. The study was employed a descriptive analysis to find the mastery and difficulty concepts of 34 students of senior high school class X-MIPA of SMA Negeri 1 Kandangan Kediri. The reasoning multiple choice (two-tier) using instrumental test of mastery concept was used with reliability value of 0.649. The result of the analysis presented that the mean value of student’s concept mastery in Newton's law was of 24.3 with a maximum value of 100 presenting a low category. The low score of student’s understanding exhibited that students had difficulties in Newton’s law concept. In general, many students had difficulties in identifying and interpreting the formula , identifying the forces with free body diagram, and understanding action, and reaction forces.Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pemahaman konsep dan kesulitan siswa SMA pada materi hukum Newton. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif untuk menemukan pemahaman konsep dan kesulitan pada 34 siswa X-IPA SMA Negeri 1 Kandangan Kediri, menggunakan instrumen tes pemahaman konsep berupa pilihan ganda beralasan dengan nilai reliabilitas 0,649. Hasil analisis menunjukkan nilai rata-rata pemahaman konsep siswa pada materi hukum Newton sebesar 24,3 dari nilai maksimum 100, berada dalam kategori rendah. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa siswa mengalami kesulitan dalam materi hukum Newton. Secara umum, siswa mengalami kesulitan mendefinisikan dan memahami rumusan , mengidentifikasi gaya menggunakan diagram benda bebas, dan memahami gaya aksi dan reaksi.

Abstract: The aim of this research is to explore the influence using link map in learning cycle 7e on the student’s problem solving skill in static fluid. The kind of this research is qualitative research with case study approach. The techniques of collecting data are link map created by students and posttest result of student’s problem solving skill. The instruments that used in this research are link map in LKS and five problem solving question with reliability value 0,691. Sample in this research are 5 students from class XI IA 1 SMAN Kediri. The result of data analysis shows that students with ability to create link map correctly get better score than the other students. This shows that link map can help to understand and link the relevant concepts in static fluid and useful as a reference in problem solving. Abstrak: Penelitian ini dimaksudkan untuk mengeskplor pengaruh penggunaan link map dalam Learning Cycle 7E terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa pada materi fluida statis. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Teknik pengumpulan data berupa link map yang dibuat siswa dan hasil kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa melalui posttest. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah link map dalam LKS dan lima soal kemampuan pemecahan masalah dengan reliabilitas soal sebesar 0,691. Sampel pada penelitian ini adalah lima siswa dari kelas XI IA 1 SMAN 3 Kediri. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan siswa yang mampu membuat link map dengan tepat memperoleh nilai kemampuan pemecahan masalah yang lebih baik daripada siswa yang tidak mampu membuat link map. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa link map membantu siswa memahami dan mengaitkan konsep-konsep yang relevan pada materi fluida statis dan berguna sebagai alat referensi dalam pemecahan masalah.

Abstract: This research aimed to identify student activated resource for solving some problems about equilibrium and center of mass point. The method used in the form of descriptive qualitative with the number of samples 64 students 11th SMA Negeri 2 Bangkalan. The data were collected using a double choice questioned instrument. Resource students are obtained through constant comparative analysis. The results showed that students generally activate resource that is p-prim rather than a scientific resource. Scientific resource resumes that are not adapted to the context of the problem will make a wrong prediction answer. Abstrak: Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi resource yang diaktifkan siswa dalam menyelesaikan permasalahan terkait materi kesetimbangan dan titik pusat massa. Metode yang digunakan berupa deskriptif kualitatif dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 64 siswa kelas XI SMA Negeri 2 Bangkalan. Data dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan instrumen soal berbentuk pilihan ganda beralasan. Resource siswa diperoleh melalui analisis constant comparative. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa siswa umumnya mengaktivasi resource yang bersifat p-prime daripada resource yang sifatnya scientific. Resource scientific yang diaktivasi tidak sesuai konteks permasalahan akan menghasilkan prediksi jawaban yang salah oleh siswa.
