Abstract

Abstract Local anesthesia works by blocking pain sensory nerve cells (nociceptors) and other nerve cells, it's need capsaicin in chili as co-anesthesia so that local anesthesia specific work on nociceptors only. The diversity of chili, demand more research to determine the most appropriate type of chili as a source of capsaicin co-anesthesia. This is a pre and post test design experimental research. Which each groups is given of Capsaicin from different chili types and concentration. There are difference time in emergence of sensory effects (p 0.020) and motor effects (p 0.001) between groups. Group of C.frutescens 5% is the fastest group in stopping of the motor nerve blocking (3.33 minutes), while group of C.frutescens 10% is best group in influencing long-blocking sensory nerves (53.67 minutes). Thus the increased concentration is linear correlation to the results of anesthesia and the types of chili with different concentration affect the work time of anesthesia.

Abstract

This article argues The Malari 1974 incident was triggered by a series of protests carried out by the opposition and students against foreign capital, which in this case were owned and Japanese outbreaks of fraud and corruption committed by officials in the New Order period, Hariman Siregar, the leader of  Malari 1974 student movement  himself, argued that this event was an anticlimax of the alliance between the campus and the military under Soeharto  which was so warm in the previous times, namely in 1966 which was campus, in this case represented by students together with the military same to bring down the Old Order regime that was in power at the time. But that did not last long, because the alliance was then broken when students as a moral force found their critical reasoning again in criticizing the New Order government, which at the time was said to have deviated from the message of the actual suffering of the people. This then led to the Malari incident as an appropriate means to get rid of "opponents" who tried to overthrow the New Order power. At that time there were around 12 banned print media, such as: Nusantara, Indonesia Raya, Pedoman, KAMI, Mahasiswa Indonesias, The Jakarta Times, Abadi, Suluh Berita, Pemuda Indonesia, Pos Indonesia, Wenang weekly and Ekspress magazine. The government accused the press of being partially responsible for the Malari incident. The press is considered to have participated in finalizing the political situation which later exploded into riotous actions which claimed lives and material.

Abstract

The development of connectionism represents a paradigm shift in science. Connectionism has its root in cognitive and computational neuroscience. Likening the brain to a computer, connectionism tries to describe human mental abilities in terms of artificial neural networks. A neural network consists of a large number of nodes and units which are joined together to form an interconnection network. Within these interconnections, knowledge is distributed. Therefore learning is a processing by-product. This article is about the concept of connectionism, what it accounts for and what it doesn't take into account.  Finally, different approaches to connectionism are discussed.

Abstract

This article argues that a number of Western orientalists tried to impress that Islam and the West could not meet, imaged that all the Islamic ones seemed to be unable to meet all the nuances of the West, as all the western images imaged always contradict Islam. Such tensions continue to this day. Towards the end of the 20th century, Islamism or Islamic fundamentalism has retreated or failed in maintaining political power in the Islamic world. But the enforcement of Shari'ah in society, remains a central theme of the demands of these Islamic fundamentalists. Thus, their target as a group is no longer just a country, but also a society. The political experiments of Islam, however, as shown in Algeria, Sudan, Iran and Afghanistan have failed and are out of date, but anyway, by the beginning of the 21st century Islamism or Islamic fundamentalism has been revived, marked by the WTC bomb 9/11 and other terror attacks in Indonesia, Europe, the US etc.

Abstract

This article explains that in the midst of the widespread Corona Virus (Covid-19) outbreak, the United States accuses China of being the ringleader of the Corona spreader, and  on the contrary China blames the US for making corona. The controversy about who is the spreader of the Corona pandemic, instead led to mutual suspicion between the US vs. China, while it did not solve the Corona outbreak problem that threatens the world community. Today, for the peoples in various parts of the world today, the main problem for overcoming Corona is the inability of the state to deal with the deadly virus. So that cooperation and mutual trust between nations will enable us all to overcome Corona outbreaks. Noah Harari's view should not be forgotten that the experience of the world community in eradicating the 2014 Ebola outbreak teaches us that closer, open and mutual trust in global cooperation will not only be a victory for humanity over the Corona virus, but also a victory against all pathogenic viruses in the future.

Abstract

Reception Analysis audience research since its evolution from the German Reception Theory of the Constance School has been beset with varied methodological issues. This is stridently because reception analysis per se straddles both the humanities and the social sciences. This paper attempts to set off the methodological perspective that can enable audience researchers in the field of media studies in Africa conduct reliable and valid reception analysis research. This paper posits the qualitative method as a viable analytical tool for reception researchers. Additionally, this paper takes into consideration factors in the social systems in which media discourses are embedded. These factors enable the generation of interpretative strategies shared by individuals belonging to a specific audience group within a specified cultural context. In the light of this, these interpretative repertoires can thus serve as veritable texts that could be analyzed in reception analysis research.

Abstract

Marcel SONY LabouTansi, the author of the novel "The Shameful State", denounces the dictatorial system often practiced by most African leaders in the management of the "res publica". He paints the barbarity of man in relation to his fellow man. It also presents the duality between the traditional society characterized by democracy, peace ... and the modern society based on dictatorship in which the government behaves as a state, as absolute master, and the governed in the eternal "- mute", "voiceless". It invites the recipients to renounce to the bad principle in order to establish democracy, a system that respects the individual freedom of the people, that of human rights, of professional promotion for the harmonious development of a sovereign and democratic State. The novel "The Shameful State" unfolds the spiral of the unpleasant reign of a megalomaniacal, criminal and lustful president, Colonel Martillimi Lopez, who "shamefully" manages power and ends with the crying and gnashing of his constituents' teeth. After having committed: pedophilia, adultery, assassination of opponents, he was deposed by his relatives who created an insurrection and was forced to hand over power to civilians to return to his native village.

Abstract

Since the outbreak of Covid-19 (Corona virus) in China in December 2019, the disease has killed more people in Europa, America and Asia according to official sources.  Less impacted than the rest of the world, Africa as well as Oceania has less confirmed cases and less deaths. In countries whose health systems are among the most fragile in the world, with far less resources than those mobilized in Europe, China or the United States, the situation in Africa is potentially catastrophic. Since human and material resources, such as hospitalization and intensive care beds, are largely insufficient, the mortality rate linked to Covid-19 is likely to be 3 to 5 times higher than in the rest of the world. In the face of this evidence, scientific research based on medicinal plants would be seen as no less important part of the solution to the Covid-19 pandemic, based on plant biodiversity. The Malagasy Institute of Applied Research (IMRA/Madagascar) on the basis of the Artemisia annua has set up Covid-Organics; The Congolese plant biodiversity offers undeniable advantages for the setting up of an Improved Traditional Medicine following the example of Covid-Organics. This would constitute for the Democratic Republic of the Congo a comparative advantage to be put forward in its multiple international exchanges.
