Abstract

The problem in this study is the low mathematics learning outcomes of fourth grade students at SD Negeri 2 Panjang Utara. This study aims to determine the effect of the Make a Match cooperative learning model assisted by matching cards on mathematics learning outcomes, as well as the difference between this model and the STAD cooperative model. The method used was quasi-experimental with a quantitative approach and saturated sampling technique involving 61 students. Data were collected through observation, interviews, documentation, and tests, and analyzed using simple linear regression. The results showed that the Make a Match model assisted by matching cards had an effect on mathematics learning outcomes. The STAD model also had an effect on mathematics learning outcomes. In addition, there were differences between the two learning models. Thus, the Make a Match model assisted by matching cards was more effective in improving mathematics learning outcomes than the STAD model.

Abstract

Learning about simple electrical circuits is a crucial part of Science (IPA) education in elementary schools. However, its implementation often faces various obstacles. This study aims to identify the common problems in learning simple electrical circuits and to formulate effective solutions. Using a descriptive qualitative method with data collection through literature studies and interviews with sixth-grade teachers at SDN 1 Sidodadi, this research found three main issues: 1) Educators' lack of understanding and skills in teaching the concept of electrical circuits, 2) Students' low learning motivation and enthusiasm, often caused by the overuse of lecture methods, and 3) Lack or unavailability of tools and materials for practical activities. The solutions proposed to address these problems include: teachers participating in training to improve their professional competence, applying innovative learning models such as Project-Based Learning (PJBL) and experimental methods to increase student activity and motivation, and utilising appropriate learning media, ranging from realia (physical teaching aids) to PhET simulation media as a substitute when physical tools are unavailable. The conclusion of this study emphasises the importance of the teacher's role in continuously striving to improve the quality of learning through these various solutions, thereby achieving learning objectives effectively.

Abstract

This study was motivated by the low level of students’ mathematical creative thinking skills among fifth-grade elementary school students, which was attributed to teacher-centered learning practices and the limited use of innovative instructional materials. This study aimed to examine the effectiveness of Problem Based Learning (PBL)-based Student Worksheets (LKPD) in improving students’ mathematical creative thinking skills. A quantitative approach with a one-group pretest-posttest design was employed. The population consisted of 104 students, while 28 students were selected as the sample using purposive sampling technique. The research instruments included a mathematical creative thinking skills test and observation sheets as non-test instruments. All instruments had been tested for validity and reliability. Data were analyzed using prerequisite tests and the N-Gain test. The findings revealed that the N-Gain score was 0.77, which fell into the high category. This result indicated that the implementation of PBL-based LKPD was effective in enhancing students’ mathematical creative thinking skills. Therefore, PBL-based LKPD can be recommended as an innovative instructional material in elementary mathematics learning.

Abstract

Penelitian Tindakan (PT) sangat penting bagi pendidik sekolah dasar, namun banyak di antara mereka yang belum mahir dalam merancang dan melaksanakannya. Pelatihan ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kompetensi 30 pendidik di Kota Bandar Lampung hingga tahun 2025, yang mencakup sekolah dasar dan sekolah menengah pertama negeri maupun swasta. Peserta akan mendapatkan materi pelatihan teori dan praktik dalam bimbingan konseling, mulai dari tahap persiapan hingga pelaporan. Evaluasi menggunakan Skala Penilaian Kualitas Proposal. Analisis portofolio: 30% keterampilan tingkat lanjut, 60% sedang, 10% kurang. Variasi keterampilan yang signifikan membuka peluang untuk diskusi lebih lanjut.

Abstract

This study is motivated by the learning phenomenon in Indonesia, which requires educators to develop students’ life skills as preparation for facing life challenges. Curriculum demands and societal changes encourage educators to integrate personal and social skills into the learning process. This condition is also evident at SD Negeri 2 Metro Pusat, where learning has been directed toward fostering students’ life skills, particularly personal and social competencies. The objectives of this study are to identify educators’ strategies in developing students’ life skills, to describe the impacts of these strategies, and to analyze the supporting and inhibiting factors in their implementation at SD Negeri 2 Metro Pusat. This research employs a qualitative approach with a phenomenological design. Data collection techniques include interviews, observations, and documentation, while data validity is ensured through method and source triangulation. The data sources consist of the principal, third- and fourth-grade teachers, and third- and fourth-grade students. The results show that educators implement life skill development through active learning strategies, flexible teaching methods, and their roles as facilitators and mentors. These strategies have a positive impact on students’ self-awareness, social attitudes, thinking skills, self-confidence, and life readiness. Supporting factors include school policies, a conducive learning environment, and parental support, while inhibiting factors include limited time and facilities. It can be concluded that active learning strategies supported by the school effectively optimize the development of students’ personal and social life skills.

Abstract

Permasalahan dalam penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya kemampuan pemahaman konsep peserta didik pada mata pelajaran IPAS. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penerapan model contextual teaching and learning berbasis media augmented reality terhadap kemampuan pemahaman konsep peserta didik kelas V SD Negeri 10 Metro Timur. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekaan kuantitatif dengan metode penelitian quasi experimental dan desain penelitian non-equivalent control group design. Populasi yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh peserta didik kelas V SD Negeri 10 Metro Timur. Sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas V A sebagai kelompok kontrol dan peserta didik kelas V B sebagai kelompok eksperimen. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah­non probability sampling dengan jenis sampling jenuh. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan tes berupa soal uraian, dan teknik non-tes menggunakan lembar observasi. Data kemampuan pemahaman konsep peserta didik di uji normalitasnya dengan rumus Chi-Kuadrat, dan di uji homogenitasnya menggunakan rumus Uji-F. Pengujian tersebut menunjukkan bahwa data berdistribusi normal dan homogen. Pengujian hipotesis menggunakan uji regresi sederhana dengan hasil perhiutngan sebesar = 33,35 dan nilai = 4,26 Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa  ≥ , sehingga dapat disimpulkan  ditolak dan  diterima yang berarti terdapat pengaruh penerapan model model contextual teaching and learning berbasis media augmented reality terhadap kemampuan pemahaman konsep peserta didik pada pembelajaran IPAS Sekolah Dasar.

Abstract

Permasalahan pada penelitian ini adalah rendahnya pemahaman konsep sains peserta didik di sekolah dasar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui penerapan model pembelajaran discovery learning berbantuan media powtoon untuk meningkatkan pemahaman konsep sains peserta didik di kelas IV SDN 1 Taman Cari. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode eksperimen semu (quasi experimental design) dengan desain non-equivalent control group design. Teknik pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan metode non probability sampling dengan teknik sampling jenuh. Jumlah populasi dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 31 peserta didik, dengan kelas IV A sebagai kelompok eksperimen dan kelas IV B sebagai kelompok kontrol. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui tes dan non-tes. Analisis data menggunakan uji N-Gain. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat peningkatan signifikan model pembelajaran discovery learning berbantuan media powtoon terhadap pemahaman konsep sains peserta didik di sekolah dasar, yang dibuktikan dengan hasil uji N-Gain pada kelas eksperimen adalah 0,6 yang berada pada kategori sedang, sedangkan pada kelas kontrol adalah 0,0 yang berada pada kategori rendah. Hal ini membuktikan bahwa penerapan model discovery learning berbantuan media powtoon pada kelas eksperimen mampu meningkatkan pemahaman konsep sains dengan kategori sedang. Berdasarkan temuan tersebut, dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan model discovery learning berbantuan media powtoon mampu meningkatkan pemahaman konsep sains di sekolah dasar pada mata pelajaran IPAS di Kelas IV SDN 1 Taman Cari Tahun Pembelajaran 2025/2026.

Abstract

The rapid advancement of information technology demands a more dynamic and interactive learning environment, requiring educators to go beyond traditional teaching methods by integrating various digital tools to enhance student engagement and learning outcomes. However, limited digital proficiency among elementary school teachers poses a significant barrier to this integration. This study aimed to improve the digital competencies of elementary school educators through targeted training on the development of interactive e-modules. The training, conducted on August 8, 2024, involved 35 purposively selected elementary educators from the Metro City area. The program consisted of three phases: (1) foundational knowledge delivery on interactive e-modules, (2) hands-on training and mentoring on module development, and (3) evaluation of training effectiveness. Data were collected through questionnaires and participant observations, and analyzed using a qualitative approach. The findings revealed that participants significantly improved their theoretical understanding and practical skills related to interactive e-module design. Moreover, they demonstrated increased motivation and readiness to apply these digital tools in classroom settings, indicating the potential scalability of such training for broader educational contexts.

Abstract

Representasi visual geometri merupakan kompetensi penting dalam pembelajaran matematika untuk mendukung pemahaman bentuk dan ruang. Namun, banyak mahasiswa calon guru sekolah dasar mengalami kesulitan memahami konsep geometri akibat lemahnya kemampuan spasial mereka. Pengalaman sensorimotor masa kanak-kanak melalui eksplorasi ruang diduga kuat memengaruhi kemampuan ini. Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan peran pengalaman sensorimotor masa kecil terhadap kemampuan representasi visual geometri mahasiswa PGSD Universitas Lampung. Menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif, subjek penelitian terdiri dari 68 mahasiswa PGSD yang telah menempuh mata kuliah geometri. Data dikumpulkan melalui angket terbuka pengalaman sensorimotor dan tes representasi visual geometri, lalu dianalisis secara tematik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan sebagian besar mahasiswa memiliki pengalaman sensorimotor yang beragam. Kemampuan representasi visual geometri mereka cenderung lebih baik pada tugas konkret dibandingkan visual-spasial kompleks. Analisis data menunjukkan adanya pola keterkaitan: mahasiswa dengan pengalaman manipulatif, eksploratif, dan aktivitas fisik yang kaya cenderung memiliki kemampuan representasi visual-spasial yang lebih baik. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa perkembangan kemampuan geometri tidak hanya dipengaruhi pembelajaran formal, melainkan juga fondasi pengalaman sensorimotor sejak masa kanak-kanak.

Abstract

This study aims to develop and test the feasibility and effectiveness of electronic student worksheets based on Problem Based Learning (PBL) using the Liveworksheet platform in improving the scientific literacy skills of elementary school students. This study uses the Research and Development (R&D) method with the ADDIE model which includes the stages of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The subjects of the study were 24 fifth-grade students of State Elementary School 10 Metro Timur. Data were collected through expert validation questionnaires, student response questionnaires, and scientific literacy ability tests in the form of pretests and posttests. Data were analyzed using quantitative descriptive techniques, qualitative descriptive techniques, and improvement tests using N-Gain. The results showed that the developed electronic student worksheets obtained a very feasible category from the aspects of material, language, and media. Student responses to the use of electronic student worksheets were in the very good category with a percentage of 91%. The results of the effectiveness test showed an increase in scientific literacy skills with an N-Gain value of 0.72 which is included in the high category. These findings indicate that PBL-based electronic student worksheets using liveworksheet are appropriate, practical, and effective teaching materials to support the improvement of elementary school students' scientific literacy skills.
