Abstract

Initial observations indicate that elementary school students' numeracy literacy is still low, especially in connecting mathematical concepts to real-world contexts, so that the learning process has not been able to optimally develop numeracy skills. Based on these issues, this study aims to analyze students' numeracy literacy abilities in solving contextual problems with the help of the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model. This study uses a quantitative approach with a pre-experimental design of one group pre-test and post-test. The results show a significant increase in numeracy literacy scores after the implementation of the PBL model, with a pretest average score of 60.03 (SD = 9.642) and a posttest average score of 78.14 (SD = 7.678), as well as an average difference of 18.114. A correlation value of 0.813 (p < 0.001) and a t-value of -19.089 (p < 0.001) indicate a strong positive effect, with a very large effect size (Cohen's d = -3.227). These findings prove that problem-based learning is effective in improving numeracy literacy by strengthening elementary school students' critical thinking and contextual problem-solving skills.

Abstract

This study investigated the influence of the RADEC (Read, Answer, Discuss, Explain, and Create) learning model on elementary school students' mathematical communication skills, considering the factor of gender. The research aimed to determine the effectiveness of the RADEC model, the presence of significant gender differences, and any interaction effects between the learning model and gender in communication abilities. A quasi-experimental design was employed with fourth-grade students from one elementary school in Bandung City, Indonesia, as participants. Data were collected through a five-item essay test on mathematical communication skills and analyzed using descriptive and two-way ANOVA statistics. The results of this study show that there was a statistically significant positive effect of the RADEC learning model on students' mathematical communication skills, with the experimental group achieving higher average scores compared to the control group (77.74 vs. 56.30, p < 0.001). However, no statistically significant difference was found in mathematical communication skills between male and female students (p = 0.693). Furthermore, the study indicated no significant interaction effect between the learning model and gender on mathematical communication skills (p = 0.863). This finding thus points to the effectiveness of the RADEC learning model as a pedagogical approach for enhancing mathematical communication skills for both male and female students in this elementary education context.

Abstract

Pembelajaran sejarah di sekolah masih didominasi oleh penggunaan buku teks dan penyampaian narasi kronologis, sehingga keterlibatan peserta didik dalam memahami makna sejarah secara kontekstual dan multidimensional cenderung terbatas. Kondisi ini berdampak pada kurang optimalnya pemanfaatan sumber belajar autentik, khususnya cagar budaya dan artefak arkeologis di lingkungan sekitar. Salah satu bentuk tinggalan budaya yang memiliki potensi pedagogis tetapi relatif jarang dimanfaatkan dalam pembelajaran sejarah adalah arca Hindu, khususnya arca Ganesha. Arca ini tidak hanya merepresentasikan nilai religius dan simbolik, tetapi juga menyimpan beragam aspek material, artistik, dan teknologis yang relevan untuk pembelajaran interdisipliner.Artikel ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji potensi pemanfaatan arca Ganesha sebagai sumber autentik pembelajaran sejarah berbasis pendekatan STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics). Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan metode kajian konseptual melalui analisis literatur, ikonografi arca, serta relevansinya dalam konteks pembelajaran sejarah. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa arca Ganesha memiliki potensi integratif lintas disiplin, mulai dari aspek material dan pelapukan batu (science), pemanfaatan teknologi digital dalam dokumentasi dan visualisasi (technology), teknik pahatan dan struktur arca (engineering), nilai estetika dan simbolik (art), hingga proporsi dan simetri bentuk (mathematics). Pemanfaatan arca Ganesha sebagai sumber belajar autentik berbasis STEAM dapat memperkaya pengalaman belajar sejarah, mendorong keterampilan berpikir kritis, serta menghubungkan peserta didik dengan konteks budaya lokal secara lebih kontekstual. Artikel ini merekomendasikan pemanfaatan artefak arkeologis sebagai bagian dari inovasi pembelajaran sejarah yang interdisipliner dan bermakna.

Abstract

Southeast Sulawesi has a high prevalence of undernutrition in children under five (27.7%) in 2024. Socio-economic factors such as poverty and maternal education are suspected to influence this condition. This study aims to analyze the influence of poverty levels and maternal education (Mean Years of Schooling/MYS) on the prevalence of child undernutrition in 17 districts/cities in Southeast Sulawesi. Secondary data from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) in 2024 were used, with 17 observations. Analysis was conducted using Negative Binomial Regression to address overdispersion. Independent variables were the percentage of the poor population and the MYS of women. The Negative Binomial Regression model was confirmed as the best fit. Maternal education had a significant negative effect on undernutrition cases (IRR = 0.688; p=0.012). The poverty level also showed a significant negative relationship (IRR = 0.863; p=0.034). Maternal education plays an important role in reducing the risk of undernutrition. The negative relationship between poverty and undernutrition indicates the presence of specific factors or intervention programs in Southeast Sulawesi that require further investigation.

Abstract

The increasing integration of digital technology in teacher education has reshaped how future teachers engage with knowledge and learning. This study explores how pre-service primary mathematics teachers conceptualize knowledge within digital learning environments and examines the relationship between their epistemic beliefs and digital engagement. A quantitative descriptive design was employed involving 34 undergraduate students enrolled in a primary teacher education program at an Indonesian university. Data were collected using a 20-item questionnaire adapted from Schommer’s Epistemological Beliefs framework and contextualized to reflect digital learning experiences. The instrument measured beliefs concerning the certainty, simplicity, and source of knowledge, as well as perceptions of learning ability and learning processes. Responses were analyzed using descriptive statistics. The findings indicate that participants predominantly hold constructivist-oriented epistemic beliefs, viewing knowledge as interconnected, evolving, and shaped through reflection and experience. Digital technology was generally perceived not merely as an instructional aid but as a medium that supports pedagogical thinking and professional growth. Statements reflecting growth-oriented learning and independent knowledge construction received strong agreement, whereas fixed and authority-dependent beliefs were largely rejected. These results suggest that epistemic sophistication may support more reflective and meaningful digital engagement. The study highlights the importance of integrating epistemological development with digital competence in teacher education to foster adaptive and reflective future educators.

Abstract

Burnout is a psychological condition characterized by persistent negative feelings, often accompanied by decreased motivation, especially in the learning context. Final‑year nursing students are at high risk of physical, emotional, and mental exhaustion due to academic pressure and thesis completion. This study aimed to describe the burnout level among final‑semester Nursing students. A quantitative descriptive design was used. The sample consisted of 87 students selected by purposive sampling. Data was collected using the BAPER (Student Burnout in Thesis Completion) questionnaire. Univariate analysis was performed to obtain frequency distributions. Almost all respondents (74.7%, n=65) had moderate burnout, while 25.3% (n=22) had mild burnout. No student had severe burnout. Most respondents were aged 20–24 years (98.9%) and female (70.1%). Many final‑year nursing students experienced burnout at a moderate level. Institutions are advised to provide structured academic and psychological support, time management training, and stress management programs to prevent burnout escalation

Abstract

Code blue is one of the emergency procedure codes that must be activated immediately if someone is found in a condition of cardiac respiratory arrest in the hospital area. code blue response team or code blue team is a team formed by the hospital in charge of responding to the condition of the code blue in the hospital area. This study aims to determine the correlation of HR, Facilities, Response time, and SPO factors with code blue management in the hospital. This research is a quantitative research with descriptive analysis method with factor design test, a sample of 33 code blue teams. The results showed that there was a correlation and influence of factors (sub-variables) of human resources, facilities, response time and standard operating procedures with code blue governance in hospitals. The strength of the factors in the management of code blue in hospitals in a sequence is the facility then continued with the response time factor, human resources and finally the standard operational procedure factors for the code blue team's management in emergency patients.

Abstract

This study examines the role of Sheikh Abdul Djalil bin Musa Rifai in the spread of Sufi orders (tarekat) in Cianjur, West Java, during the period 1887–1942. The research employs the historical method through literature review, manuscript analysis, and interviews with local religious figures and historians. The findings indicate that Syeikh Abdul Djalil bin Musa Rifa’i contributed significantly to the development of Sufi traditions through scholarly and spiritual networks connected to Syekh Abdul Karim al-Bantani. His teachings were associated with several mu‘tabarah Sufi orders, including Rifā‘iyyah, Syattariyyah, Sammaniyyah, Qadiriyyah, and Naqshbandiyyah. The term “Kubrawiyah” found in local manuscripts is interpreted as a local designation for a spiritual tradition rather than a new Sufi orders. The study concludes that his contribution was not limited to religious dissemination, but also extended to the formation of a cohesive and harmonious Muslim community in Cianjur. This research highlights the importance of local Sufi networks in shaping religious life and social cohesion in Indonesian Islamic history.

Abstract

Contemporary debates on contextual tafsīr (exegesis) often emphasize methodological reform, yet they pay limited attention to how such approaches are pedagogically enacted and stabilized within Islamic educational institutions. This gap is particularly relevant to the legacy of Mahmoud Shaltout, whose contextual method sought to harmonize textual fidelity with socio-historical awareness. This study investigates how Shaltout’s methodology is implemented through pedagogical sequencing in Qur’anic teaching, and how this process mediates questions of textual authority. Through a qualitative, multi-site field study, this research draws on classroom observations, semi-structured interviews with instructors and students, and document analysis across selected Islamic educational institutions. The findings reveal a patterned epistemic sequence: instruction begins with linguistic and textual clarification, proceeds to socio-historical contextualization, and culminates in ethical abstraction and contemporary application. This staged process mitigates resistance, preserves scriptural authority, and enables gradual interpretive expansion. Consequently, the study argues that contextual tafsīr attains institutional sustainability not merely through theoretical coherence, but through structured pedagogical enactments that actively negotiate authority in practice.

Abstract

Programming education is a field that requires logical thinking, problem-solving skills, and an understanding of abstract concepts. Various studies have utilized gamification as an approach to improve the quality of programming education. The increasing number of publications on this topic highlights the need for a review capable of illustrating the progress of research conducted thus far. Therefore, this study aims to map publication trends, author and country productivity, as well as emerging research themes in the field of gamification in programming education during the 2020–2025 period. The study employed a bibliometric method using Scopus-indexed publications as the data source. The article selection process followed the PRISMA 2020 guidelines and yielded 53 articles, which were analyzed using Scopus’s “Analyze Search Results” feature and VOSviewer software version 1.6.20. The analysis results indicate that the number of publications on gamification in programming education tended to increase during the study period. Queirós and Swacha were identified as the most productive authors, while Spain was the country with the highest number of publications. Keyword co-occurrence analysis identified key themes, including gamification, motivation, engagement, programming education, computational thinking, game-based learning, and programming learning. Additionally, a trend was observed toward a shift in research focus from aspects of motivation and engagement toward the development of computational thinking and a more comprehensive approach to programming education. These findings indicate that gamification is not only used to increase interest in learning but is also increasingly being directed toward supporting the development of students’ computational competencies. ABSTRAK Pembelajaran pemrograman merupakan salah satu bidang yang menuntut kemampuan berpikir logis, pemecahan masalah, dan pemahaman konsep yang bersifat abstrak. Berbagai penelitian telah memanfaatkan gamifikasi sebagai pendekatan untuk meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran pemrograman. Meningkatnya jumlah publikasi pada topik tersebut menunjukkan perlunya kajian yang mampu menggambarkan perkembangan penelitian yang telah dilakukan. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan memetakan tren publikasi, produktivitas penulis dan negara, serta tema-tema penelitian yang berkembang dalam kajian gamifikasi pada pembelajaran pemrograman selama periode 2020 – 2025. Penelitian dilakukan menggunakan metode bibliometrik dengan sumber data berupa publikasi yang terindeks Scopus. Proses seleksi artikel mengacu pada pedoman PRISMA 2020 dan menghasilkan 53 artikel yang dianalisis menggunakan fitur Analyze Search Results pada Scopus dan perangkat lunak VOSviewer versi 1.6.20. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa jumlah publikasi mengenai gamifikasi dalam pembelajaran pemrograman cenderung meningkat selama periode penelitian. Queirós dan Swacha tercatat sebagai penulis paling produktif, sedangkan Spanyol menjadi negara dengan jumlah publikasi terbanyak. Analisis co-occurrence kata kunci mengidentifikasi tema utama yang meliputi gamification, motivation, engagement, programming education, computational thinking, game-based learning, dan programming learning. Selain itu, ditemukan kecenderungan pergeseran fokus penelitian dari aspek motivasi dan keterlibatan menuju pengembangan computational thinking dan pendidikan pemrograman yang lebih komprehensif. Temuan tersebut menunjukkan bahwa gamifikasi tidak hanya dimanfaatkan untuk meningkatkan minat belajar, tetapi juga mulai diarahkan untuk mendukung pengembangan kompetensi komputasional peserta didik.
