Abstract

Data security in web-based ecosystems has become a crucial issue with the increasing cyber threats and society's dependence on digital platforms. This study explores the implementation of data security systems using various encryption methods, including Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) and Rivest-Shamir-Adleman (RSA), to protect the integrity and confidentiality of information in web applications. The main issue raised is the vulnerability of data during transmission and storage on cloud servers, which are often targets of Man-in-the-Middle (MitM) attacks and database leaks. The methodology used is a software development life cycle (SDLC)-based system development with a focus on the integration of encryption layers in databases and HTTPS communication channels. The results show that the implementation of end-to-end encryption significantly reduces the risk of unauthorized access without excessively compromising system latency. In conclusion, the combination of symmetric and asymmetric encryption provides layered protection that is essential in maintaining user trust and compliance with global data protection regulations.

Abstract

Ciptaunggul Karya Abadi is a private company engaged in the Manufacturing of Metal Stamping Parts, Tools and Dies. In the face of fierce industry competition, the consistency of product quality is a determining factor for competitiveness. The high rate of product defects is a major concern for companies as it impacts cost, efficiency, and customer satisfaction. This study aims to analyze the effect of the implementation of Total Quality Management (TQM) on reducing the level of product defects. The method used was a case study with data collection through direct observation, interviews with stakeholders, and document analysis over a period of four months. The results show that the application of TQM elements such as customer focus, obsession with quality, scientific approach, long-term commitment, teamwork, continuous system improvement, education and training, controlled freedom, unity of purpose, and employee involvement and empowerment have a significant effect in reducing product defects. The implementation of TQM is also able to create a better quality culture in the production environment. Based on the results of the analysis, it can be concluded that PT. Ciptaunggul Karya Abadi has implemented all elements of Total Quality Management (TQM) as an effort to improve product quality and reduce the level of defects, but the implementation is not fully optimal. Therefore, it can also be concluded that Total Quality Management (TQM) is an effective strategic approach to improve product quality in a sustainable manner.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan efisiensi pelaksanaan kerja, mengurangi pemborosan, serta mengembangkan kompetensi karyawan melalui penerapan pendekatan Lean Thinking pada proses produksi di perusahaan industri karet. Pelaksanaan kegiatan dilakukan melalui serangkaian tahapan yang meliputi observasi lapangan, pelatihan intensif terkait prinsip-prinsip lean, pendampingan implementasi di area produksi, serta penyusunan future state process mapping sebagai panduan perbaikan berkelanjutan. Hasil pelaksanaan kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pemahaman karyawan terhadap konsep lean, perbaikan keteraturan dan kerapian area kerja, penurunan tingkat kecacatan produk, serta berkurangnya penumpukan aliran proses yang ditandai dengan menurunnya material menganggur dan meningkatnya kelancaran aliran kerja. Penerapan sistem kerja yang lebih terstruktur juga berdampak positif terhadap peningkatan kesadaran mutu dan kedisiplinan karyawan dalam menjalankan prosedur kerja. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut, dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan Lean Thinking secara sistematis dan berkelanjutan mampu meningkatkan produktivitas serta kualitas proses melalui eliminasi aktivitas tidak bernilai tambah dan penguatan budaya perbaikan berkelanjutan di lingkungan perusahaan.

Abstract

The integration of Digital Twin (DT) technology and smart sensors represents a new paradigm in structural health monitoring (SHM) of high-rise buildings. This study explores the synergy between data-driven physical simulation and real-time data collection to improve the accuracy of early damage detection. Using wireless sensor networks integrated with Building Information Modeling (BIM) models, environmental load and structural response data are processed in real time. The analysis results show that DT can reduce the margin of error in structural failure prediction by up to 30% compared with conventional methods. This study concludes that bidirectional data synchronization between the physical and digital worlds is crucial for disaster risk management and the efficient maintenance of modern buildings in dense urban areas.

Abstract

Unit Pelayanan Jasa Alsintan (UPJA) merupakan lembaga ekonomi desa yang menyediakan penyewaan alat dan mesin pertanian (alsintan). Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis manajemen pengelolaan alsintan serta kelayakan usaha UPJA Jaya Mandiri dengan fokus pada penyewaan traktor roda empat dan combine harvester. Metode penelitian bersifat deskriptif dengan pendekatan studi literatur dan analisis data lapangan yang diambil melalui laporan PKL. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa UPJA memiliki struktur organisasi yang jelas, namun tata kelola teknis dan perawatan alsintan masih lemah sehingga menyebabkan 21 unit alsintan tidak dapat beroperasi. Dari sisi ekonomi, sistem penyewaan menghasilkan pendapatan, namun menurun akibat pembayaran petani yang tidak penuh, kinerja operator, serta lemahnya manajemen teknis. Kajian ini menegaskan bahwa UPJA membutuhkan peningkatan manajerial, pengawasan, dan SOP perawatan agar usaha dapat berjalan secara berkelanjutan.

Abstract

PT XYZ is a manufacturing company that produces motorcycle and car spare parts, during the production process, there is still a level of product defect that needs to be controlled, especially in one of the products with the highest production volume during the period of July–December 2024. This study was conducted to determine the level of damage, identify the factors causing the damage and recommend corrective actions. The method used is the Statistical Quality Control (SQC) method using statistical tools including: checksheet, histogram, pareto diagram, P-Chart, and fishbone diagram. The results of the study showed that the most product defects occurred in the short print defect type (36.61%), followed by appearance (17.42%), movement (16.08%), electric (15.77%), printing feel off (8.45%), and skip printing (5.67%). Actions taken to minimize the level of defects include conducting periodic training for operators in terms of part checking and handling procedures, compiling a visual and final inspection checklist to ensure that no steps are missed, adding a handle to the tray to prevent direct hand contact with the part/material, implementing a part inspection checklist before use including checking the dryness of the cavity, performing surface treatment such as wiping and drying the part/material before the printing process, using a cover on the part.

Abstract

Initial observations indicate that elementary school students' numeracy literacy is still low, especially in connecting mathematical concepts to real-world contexts, so that the learning process has not been able to optimally develop numeracy skills. Based on these issues, this study aims to analyze students' numeracy literacy abilities in solving contextual problems with the help of the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model. This study uses a quantitative approach with a pre-experimental design of one group pre-test and post-test. The results show a significant increase in numeracy literacy scores after the implementation of the PBL model, with a pretest average score of 60.03 (SD = 9.642) and a posttest average score of 78.14 (SD = 7.678), as well as an average difference of 18.114. A correlation value of 0.813 (p < 0.001) and a t-value of -19.089 (p < 0.001) indicate a strong positive effect, with a very large effect size (Cohen's d = -3.227). These findings prove that problem-based learning is effective in improving numeracy literacy by strengthening elementary school students' critical thinking and contextual problem-solving skills.

Abstract

This study investigated the influence of the RADEC (Read, Answer, Discuss, Explain, and Create) learning model on elementary school students' mathematical communication skills, considering the factor of gender. The research aimed to determine the effectiveness of the RADEC model, the presence of significant gender differences, and any interaction effects between the learning model and gender in communication abilities. A quasi-experimental design was employed with fourth-grade students from one elementary school in Bandung City, Indonesia, as participants. Data were collected through a five-item essay test on mathematical communication skills and analyzed using descriptive and two-way ANOVA statistics. The results of this study show that there was a statistically significant positive effect of the RADEC learning model on students' mathematical communication skills, with the experimental group achieving higher average scores compared to the control group (77.74 vs. 56.30, p < 0.001). However, no statistically significant difference was found in mathematical communication skills between male and female students (p = 0.693). Furthermore, the study indicated no significant interaction effect between the learning model and gender on mathematical communication skills (p = 0.863). This finding thus points to the effectiveness of the RADEC learning model as a pedagogical approach for enhancing mathematical communication skills for both male and female students in this elementary education context.

Abstract

Pengetahuan mengenai asesmen awal  merupakan prasyarat penting dalam penerapan pembelajaran berdiferensiasi sebagai salah satu strategi pendukung keberhasilan implementasi Kurikulum Merdeka. Asesmen awal berfungsi untuk mengidentifikasi kebutuhan peserta didik sehingga proses pembelajaran dapat dirancang secara tepat dan berpusat pada peserta didik. Namun, keterbatasan pemahaman dan penerapan asesmen awal masih ditemukan pada guru-guru SMP di Kota Palu, Sulawesi Tengah. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman guru terkait asesmen awal sebagai dasar perencanaan pembelajaran. Metode yang digunakan adalah pelatihan interaktif melalui workshop yang diikuti oleh delapan guru SMP Negeri Satu Atap LIK Layana Indah Palu. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan angket untuk mengukur tingkat pemahaman guru. Hasil analisis angket menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman guru mengenai teknik asesmen awal, dari 39,6% sebelum pelatihan menjadi 81,3% setelah pelatihan. Pengetahuan tentang instrumen asesmen awal juga meningkat dari 37% menjadi 83%. Selain itu, seluruh peserta memahami tujuan dan manfaat asesmen awal, meskipun sebagian besar belum melaksanakannya sebelum penyusunan Rencana Pelaksanaan Pembelajaran (RPP). Hasil ini mengindikasikan bahwa pelatihan efektif mendukung implementasi Kurikulum Merdeka melalui penguatan asesmen awal. Pelatihan asesmen awal terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan pemahaman guru SMP terkait perencanaan pembelajaran yang berpusat pada peserta didik. Untuk keberlanjutan praktik asesmen, diperlukan pendampingan lanjutan agar asesmen awal terintegrasi dalam perencanaan dan pelaksanaan pembelajaran.

Abstract

This study aims to identify the patterns of interpersonal communication between parents and children contained in the Qur'an, specifically in Surah Ash-Shaffat verse 102 and Surah Luqman verses 16-19, and to analyze them through the perspective of Tafsir Al-Azhar by Buya Hamka. This research employs a qualitative method with a library research approach. Primary data was obtained from the Tafsir Al-Azhar book, while secondary data came from relevant books and journals. The findings indicate that both verses contain principles of effective interpersonal communication, namely: (1) Equality and Openness, as seen in the dialogue between Prophet Ibrahim and Ismail; (2) Empathy, reflected in Ismail's response; and (3) Positiveness, elaborated through Luqman's advice. This communication pattern is manifested in concrete behaviors such as appropriate diction, treating the child as a conversation partner, not turning one's face away, and not shouting. This research provides practical implications for parents in building harmonious communication with their children, which in turn can strengthen family resilience.
