Abstract

Violence still occurs in the education sector, as well as in Islamic boarding schools. Violence can occur due to a lack of knowledge among students, guardians, and administrators. In contrast, one of the determinants of efforts to eliminate violence in Islamic boarding schools is the policy within the Islamic boarding school environment. One of the spearheads of violence that appears in the Islamic boarding school environment is the parenting pattern in the relationship between the Islamic boarding school and students. This activity aims to identify knowledge about violence and Islamic boarding school policies in preventing violence, with the specific objective of being the initial step in compiling patterns of Islamic boarding school policies. Data collection, based on Focus Group Discussion (FGD) activities, involved 20 students, administrators, parents of students, and caretakers of an Islamic boarding school. The FGD produced patterns of violence and agreement in forming efforts to harmonize various parties in activities at Islamic boarding schools. This activity resulted in increased knowledge about violence and prevention efforts, as well as a commitment from administrators and caretakers to compile humanist Islamic boarding school care management patterns in accordance with the characteristics of Islamic boarding schools and other relevant government policies.

Abstract

This study examines the integration of Aristotelian ethics and Bugis philosophical values in the pedagogy of English as a Foreign Language (EFL) in the local context of Pinrang, South Sulawesi. The main problem of this study lies in the limited EFL learning model that systematically accommodates local ethical and cultural dimensions, so that learning tends to be technical-linguistic oriented and does not touch the formation of students' character. This research aims to construct an EFL pedagogical framework based on virtue ethics and Bugis local wisdom as an alternative to a more humanistic and contextual learning paradigm. The methodology used is a qualitative approach with the method of philosophical inquiry through conceptual analysis and literature studies of relevant classical and contemporary works. The findings of the study show that the concepts of phronesis, arete, and eudaimonia in Aristotelian ethics have a conceptual correspondence with the values of siri', sipakatau, and sipakalebbi in the Bugis tradition. The integration of the two frameworks results in a conceptual model of EFL pedagogy that is oriented towards the development of communicative competencies as well as character building. This study concludes that a philosophical approach based on local values has the potential to enrich the philosophy and paradigm of EFL in the context of language education in Indonesia.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the sharia business management practices of the Hiray Cafe MSME operating in Parepare City. Hiray Cafe is known as a popular cafe among various groups due to its affordable prices, good product quality, and aesthetic and comfortable atmosphere. This study highlights the application of sharia principles through the provision of halal food and beverage products, the use of ingredients in accordance with Islamic law, and attention to employee religious aspects such as maintaining discipline in performing the five daily prayers. Hiray's business structure includes a division of roles from the owner, manager, HRD, to operational divisions such as baristas, pastry, kitchen, and waiters, which helps work effectiveness and coordination at the MSME scale. The marketing management system utilizes social media such as Instagram, TikTok, WhatsApp, and collaboration with courier partners to expand digital market reach. In addition, a business culture that emphasizes product quality, personalized service, halal certification, and a comfortable atmosphere are key values in business management. The analysis shows that Hiray Cafe has consistently implemented elements of Sharia business management, particularly in halal certification, service ethics, and honest and professional relationships with customers and partners. These findings can serve as a reference for other MSMEs in developing relevant and competitive Sharia-based business models in the digital era.

Abstract

Formative assessment plays an important role in providing continuous feedback that supports the student learning process. However, formative assessment practices in higher education often remain static and insufficiently responsive to individual learner differences. This study examines the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) into formative assessment by exploring patterns of student engagement, learning styles, and academic achievement within a data-informed learning environment. The findings indicate that student engagement is closely associated with academic performance and dropout risk, suggesting its potential function as an early indicator of academic vulnerability. Differences in learning styles are also reflected in formative performance, highlighting the importance of personalized instructional support. These results illustrate how AI-supported analysis can enhance formative assessment by enabling timely feedback, adaptive learning support, and the early identification of students at risk. Beyond confirming established relationships, this study emphasizes the conceptual role of artificial intelligence in reshaping formative assessment practices. AI is positioned as a formative assessment mediator that integrates learning analytics to support personalization, predictive insight, and adaptive feedback. This conceptualization contributes to formative assessment theory by demonstrating how data-driven intelligence can operationalize continuous, student-centered assessment in higher education. Rather than functioning merely as an analytical tool, artificial intelligence is shown to fundamentally reshape formative assessment by enabling continuous, predictive, and adaptive feedback mechanisms that are not achievable through conventional assessment approaches.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan literasi matematika siswa ditijau dari perbedaan jenis kelamin. Jenis Penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas IXB SMPN 8 Mataram tahun ajaran 2025/2026 yang berjumlah 34 siswa, terdiri dari 16 siswa laki-laki dan 18 siswa perempuan. Tekni pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan teknik purposive sempling. Instrumen penelitian adalah soal tes dan wawancara. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan yaitu reduksi data, penyajian data, dan menarik kesimpulan/verifikasi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diperoleh bahwa, secara umum siswa perempuan lebih unggul dibandingkan siswa laki laki, karna hanya mampu meneyelesaikan soal setara PISA level 2, hanya mampu meneyelesaikan soal setara PISA level 1, dan tidak mampu meneyelesaikan soal setara PISA dengan tepat. Sedangkan mampu menyelesaikan soal setara PISA level 3, Sedangkan mampu menyelesaikan soal setara PISA level 1, Sedangkan tidak mampu meneyelesaikan soal setara PISA dengan tepat.

Abstract

This writing aims to introduce and describe the application of HR management through planning, recruitment, selection, training, and development as well as performance evaluation metrics at MA Negeri Demak, including obstacles in the implementation of HR management MA Negeri Demak. Qualitative methods were used in writing this article. Based on the results of data analysis, it is known that the implementation of HR management in MA Negeri Demak is carried out well, the preparation of HR planning calculations, personnel are professional and transparent, the implementation of HR is quite professional. selection of resources, implementation of induction and professional training by considering school needs and qualifications of employees or teachers or teaching staff, implementation of training activities for planned development, and performance evaluation. Factors inhibiting the implementation of staffing: low welfare of teachers and honorary staff, lack of career clarity, lecturers are often late for teaching, and guaranteed quality of teaching.

Abstract

Improving organizational performance is a crucial issue in the era of increasingly dynamic and competitive globalization. This study aims to explore the role of management psychology in improving organizational performance, focusing on factors such as motivation, group dynamics, and organizational culture. The research method used is a literature review, by collecting and analyzing data from various sources such as books, journals, and scientific articles. The results of the study indicate that strategic planning, human resource development, and the application of information technology are important factors in improving organizational performance. In addition, a positive organizational culture and effective leadership also contribute significantly to improving performance. This study fills the literature gap by emphasizing the importance of psychological aspects in performance management, which are often overlooked in previous studies.

Abstract

Puddles after rainfall remain a common environmental issue in urban areas, including in higher education environments. At Sultan Syarif Kasim State Islamic University (UIN Suska) Riau, post-rain flooding often disrupts academic activities and reduces comfort among campus residents. This study aims to identify the locations of post-rain flooding, analyze the contributing factors, and explore the perspectives and proposed solutions of the campus community through a participatory mapping approach. The study employed a qualitative descriptive method supported by Geographic Information System (GIS) spatial analysis. Data were collected through field observations, interviews with students, lecturers, and staff, and GPS-based flood point mapping. Results show that puddles frequently occur in main parking areas, inter-faculty roads, and flat areas around the Student Activity Center. The main causes include inadequate drainage systems, clogged channels due to waste, limited infiltration zones, and impervious surfaces. The campus community suggested solutions such as improving drainage, constructing infiltration wells, and adopting the green campus concept. Participatory mapping proved effective not only for identifying environmental problems but also for raising ecological awareness and shared responsibility among the academic community.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan strategi manajemen hubungan masyarakat (humas) di MTs Terpadu Berkah Palangka Raya dalam membangun citra positif madrasah melalui tahapan perencanaan, pelaksanaan, dan pengawasan. Metode Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Informan terdiri dari kepala madrasah, koordinator humas, serta guru yang terlibat dalam kegiatan kehumasan. Analisis data dilakukan dengan model interaktif Miles, Huberman, dan Saldana melalui tahap kondensasi data, penyajian data, serta penarikan kesimpulan. Keabsahan data diuji menggunakan teknik triangulasi sumber dan metode. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perencanaan humas diintegrasikan dengan dokumen RKT dan RKJM madrasah. Pelaksanaan humas dilakukan melalui publikasi kegiatan, promosi digital, dan komunikasi langsung dengan masyarakat dengan memanfaatkan berbagai platform seperti Instagram, WhatsApp, YouTube, Facebook, dan website. Pengawasan dilakukan secara rutin melalui monitoring kepala madrasah, rapat evaluasi internal, serta penggunaan indikator sederhana seperti respon masyarakat, ketepatan publikasi, dan jumlah pendaftar siswa baru. Meskipun masih menghadapi keterbatasan SDM dan sarana, strategi humas yang dijalankan mampu meningkatkan kepercayaan masyarakat terhadap madrasah. Penelitian ini menghadirkan gambaran strategi manajemen humas madrasah yang dijalankan secara terpadu dan fleksibel pada lembaga pendidikan Islam yang berbasis sosial, serta menyoroti dinamika keterbatasan dan upaya adaptasi dalam membangun citra positif di era digital.

Abstract

Berkembangnya industri merupakan suatu perubahan sosial yang ada pada masyarakat, sedangkan industri adalah suatu upaya meningkatkan kesejahteraan penduduk. Selain itu industrialisasi juga tidak dapat terlepas dari usaha untuk meningkatkan mutu sumber daya manusia dan kemampuan untuk memanfaatkan sumber daya alam secara optimal. Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan lebih mempererat sistem hubungan industrial pemberdayaan masyarakat melalui kerajinan eceng gondok di desa Banyu Hirang sistem hubungan industrial antara lain yaitu Kegiatan kerajinan tangan menjadi salah satu program kegiatan yang memiliki kontribusi yang besar bagi pemberdayaan masyarakat desa. Program kegiatan kerajinan tangan merupakan salah satu solusi untuk mengurangi pengangguran di pedesaan, meningkatkan pendapatan masyarakat, meningkatkan kualitas sumber daya manusia, serta mampu menciptakan lapangan pekerjaan baru dengan mengoptimalkan potensi yang ada di lingkungan pedesaan memanfaatkan tanaman eceng gondok yang masih melimpah. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian kualitatatif deskriptif. Bogdan dan Tylor mendefinisikan penelitian kualitatif sebagai prosedur penelitian yang menghasilkan data deskriptif berupa kata-kata tertulis atau lisan dari orang-orang atau perilaku yang diamati. Hasil praktikum dapat memberikan tambahan refrensi untuk mahasiswa dalam Pola Hubungan Industrial Terhadap Produksi kerajinan tangan eceng gondok desa Banyu Hirang Kabupaten Hulu Sungai Utara
