Abstract

Basically, students have different learning styles and needs, as teachers must be able to understand what their students need. This study aims to describe the implementation of differentiated learning in the independent curriculum, find out the obstacles and supporters of the implementation of differentiated learning in the independent curriculum, and the impact of the implementation of differentiated learning in the independent curriculum. The method used in this research is qualitative research with a phenomenological approach. Data collection through interviews, observation and documentation. The results showed that the implementation of differentiated learning in PAI subjects has gone well even though it is still not so optimal. There are obstacles that make the implementation of differentiated learning less optimal such as limited time in learning and lack of human resources. But there are also supporting factors such as a supportive learning environment at school, adequate learning facilities, and principals who routinely conduct supervision. So that the impact that occurs in implementing differentiated learning on students is the emergence of enthusiasm and motivation in the learning process, because with differentiated learning students can learn according to their learning needs and feel happy with several variations of learning so they don't feel bored or monotonous. It can be seen that the impact affects the learning outcomes of students So, it can be concluded that the implementation of differentiated learning of the independent curriculum at SMPIT Ar-risalah Sukoharjo in PAI subjects has been running quite well.

Abstract

This study examines the concept of Islamic modernization through the perspective of Nurcholish Madjid and its role in addressing contemporary challenges. The primary objective is to explore Nurcholish Madjid’s conceptualization of Islamic modernization, focusing on his call for reform that involves a critical departure from traditional values and the adoption of future-oriented principles. To achieve this, a library research method was employed, analyzing both primary texts by Nurcholish Madjid and secondary sources that discuss his contributions to Islamic thought. The findings reveal that, according to Nurcholish Madjid, modernization in Islam requires a dual approach: breaking away from entrenched traditional values that no longer serve as effective benchmarks, and embracing innovative values that address the dynamic realities of the modern era. This research underscores the relevance of his thought in inspiring a renewed understanding of Islam that is capable of responding to current social and cultural challenges. The study concludes that Nurcholish Madjid’s ideas offer a viable framework for reinterpreting Islamic teachings in a way that both preserves the core essence of the faith and promotes progress in the contemporary world

Abstract

This study aims to compare two Qur'an reading methods implemented in different institutions: the Asy Syifa' Method at Alima Quran House and the Dirosa Method at the Omah Ngaji Berbagi Community Islamic Boarding School. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, the research explores how each method is implemented, identifies their respective strengths and weaknesses, and assesses their impact on students' Qur'an reading abilities. Data collection involved direct observation, in-depth interviews with teachers and students, and documentation of learning activities. The research subjects consisted of students and instructors from both institutions. Data were analyzed using the Miles and Huberman interactive model, which includes data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. Findings indicate that the Asy Syifa' Method has a structured, level-based curriculum (Tahsin A–D) supported by regular evaluations such as mid- and end-semester tests. This method effectively enhances students' accuracy in reading the Qur'an, particularly in mastering tajweed and makhrajul huruf. In contrast, the Dirosa Method provides a simpler and more time-efficient learning experience, comprising only 20 sessions, making it suitable for adult beginners aiming to quickly gain basic Qur'an reading skills. However, this method lacks systematic evaluation and in-depth tajweed instruction. In conclusion, both methods offer distinct advantages depending on the learners’ needs: the Asy Syifa' Method suits those seeking structured, in-depth mastery, while the Dirosa Method benefits those requiring flexible, rapid learning. These findings are expected to inform educators and Islamic learning institutions in selecting appropriate Qur'an teaching methods based on their students’ profiles and learning objectives

This community service program (PkM) aims to address significant welfare gaps in remote areas. Such as in rural areas in Wonogiri Regency, Central Java. This PkM focuses on integrated Islamic religious education, health and social services as an actualization of Al-Maun theology initiated by KH Ahmad Dahlan (founder of Muhammadiyah).
