Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of profitability, liquidity, leverage, and sales growth on tax avoidance with Good Corporate Governance as a moderating variable in companies included in the LQ45 Index on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) for the 2020–2023 period. Tax avoidance is proxied by the Effective Tax Rate (ETR), profitability is measured using Return on Assets (ROA), liquidity using the Current Ratio (CR), leverage using the Debt to Equity Ratio (DER), sales growth is measured based on sales growth, and Good Corporate Governance is proxied by institutional ownership. This study uses a quantitative approach with secondary data obtained from financial statements and company annual reports. The sampling technique uses a purposive sampling method to obtain 168 observational data. The data analysis methods used are multiple linear regression and Moderated Regression Analysis (MRA). The results show that partially profitability, liquidity, and sales growth do not have a significant effect on tax avoidance, while leverage has a significant effect on tax avoidance. Simultaneously, profitability, liquidity, leverage, and sales growth have a significant effect on tax avoidance. Furthermore, good corporate governance (GCG) was unable to moderate the effects of profitability, liquidity, and sales growth on tax avoidance, but it was able to moderate the effect of leverage on tax avoidance. This finding indicates that a company's funding structure, controlled by good corporate governance, plays a significant role in influencing tax avoidance practices in LQ45 companies. Keywords: Tax Avoidance, Profitabilitas, Likuiditas, Leverage, Sales Growth, Good Corporate Governance

Abstract

Besei Kambe is a traditional Dayak game from Central Kalimantan in which two teams compete by pulling a jukung on the water. Beyond its cultural significance, this activity embodies various physics concepts that can be utilized as contextual learning resources. This study aims to identify and analyze the physical principles that emerge during the practice of Besei Kambe, particularly those related to Newton’s laws, action–reaction forces, and resultant forces. Through qualitative analysis based on illustrative observation and literature review, the study reveals that the motion dynamics of the boat and the interactions between the paddlers and the water reflect direct applications of these fundamental physics concepts. These findings indicate Newton’s First Law appears when the boat remains still under balanced forces, Newton’s Second Law when an unbalanced force causes acceleration, and Newton’s Third Law in the action–reaction interaction between the paddle and the water. These findings demonstrate that Besei Kambe naturally represents fundamental mechanics principles and can serve as an effective contextual resource for physics learning grounded in local wisdom.

Abstract

Evolving consumer preferences for sustainable options have motivated eco-labeled hotels to adopt green marketing strategies, impacting guests' cognitive, affective, and behavioral assessments. Nevertheless, empirical evidence regarding the influence of green product quality, staff communication competence, and eco-label credibility on customer satisfaction and patronage intentions remains inconsistent. This study employs a Systematic Literature Review, following the PRISMA protocol, to synthesize research findings from Scopus-indexed journals. The study aims to identify the primary behavioral mechanisms that explain the impact of green marketing practices on hotel guest decision-making. The analysis reveals that green product quality functions as a cognitive stimulus shaping customer evaluations, while staff communication competence strengthens normative expectations and enhances perceptions of the authenticity of sustainability initiatives. Eco-label credibility serves as a trust-based indicator, bolstering customer confidence in the hotel's environmental integrity. Furthermore, customer satisfaction consistently mediates the relationship between green marketing practices and behavioral intentions, although variations are observed exist across cultural contexts and methodologies. This study identifies key research gaps, including a lack of standardized metrics for green marketing competence, a dearth of longitudinal studies, and the necessity of integrating behavioral theory into a more holistic model. This research proposes a behavior science-based framework for comprehending consumer responses to green hotel marketing. Keywords: green marketing; eco-labeled hotels; customer satisfaction; behavioral intention; PRISMA.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze gender differences in Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) abilities among adolescents in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. Using a cross-sectional approach, 521 adolescents (230 boys and 291 girls) aged 15–18 years participated in this study. The research instruments used have been culturally adapted to measure the five dimensions of SEL: emotion regulation, empathy, cooperation, leadership, and stress resilience. Data analysis using independent samples t-test and MANOVA showed that adolescent girls were significantly superior in emotion regulation (p < 0.001), empathy (p < 0.001), and cooperation (p = 0.002), while adolescent boys were better at leadership (p < 0.001) and stress resilience (p < 0.001). These findings indicate that gender differences in SEL are influenced by biological factors and Javanese social and cultural norms typical of Yogyakarta, where women are encouraged to be more empathetic and harmonious. At the same time, men are expected to be more independent and resilient. The study's implications emphasize the importance of developing SEL programs that are responsive to gender and local contexts, such as stress-management training for women and increased empathy and cooperation for men. Thus, appropriate interventions can more holistically support adolescent social-emotional development.  Keywords: social emotional learning, gender differences, adolescents, yogyakarta, javanese culture

Abstract

This study investigates and compares the optical performance of large-core polymer waveguides fabricated using shrimp-shell-derived chitosan (SSC) and analytical-grade chitosan (AGC) as core materials. Both materials were processed into a buried square-core waveguide configuration and evaluated through optical loss measurements, time-dependent loss (TiDL), temperature-dependent loss (TDL), and microstructural examination. The two chitosan types exhibited their lowest attenuation at a concentration of 0.04 g/mL, with AGC showing marginally lower optical loss, consistent with its higher purity and degree of deacetylation. AGC also demonstrated superior temporal and thermal stability, supported by SEM results indicating a smoother and more homogeneous core morphology. Nevertheless, SSC showed performance levels closely comparable to AGC, revealing that biowaste-derived chitosan can function effectively as a core material for large-core waveguides. This outcome underscores the potential of SSC as a sustainable, low-cost alternative, contributing to SDG 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production) through biowaste valorization, and SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure) by promoting eco-friendly materials for future optical sensor platforms. The results affirm that SSC-based waveguides hold promise for applications including humidity, pH, chemical, and biochemical sensing.

Abstract

Influencers are an important element in digital marketing because they are able to introduce products while shaping perceptions that influence purchasing decisions. However, previous studies have focused on industries such as fashion and have not yet linked influencer credibility with parasocial interaction. This study analyzes the influence of YouTube and Instagram influencers on consumer purchase intentions for Eiger products, using Fiersa Besari as the object. Specifically, this study examines the role of parasocial interaction (PSI) between the audience and Fiersa Besari, and perceived influencer credibility in increasing purchase intention. Physical attractiveness, social attractiveness, attitude homophily, and expertise are also examined as elements that strengthen credibility and parasocial interaction. This study uses a quantitative approach with a survey of 200 active followers of Fiersa Besari on YouTube and Instagram. The data is analyzed using SmartPLS-based Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). The results show that all hypotheses are significant. This means that the higher the credibility and emotional bond of the audience with the influencer, the greater the likelihood of purchasing the promoted product. These findings enrich the influencer marketing literature and provide practical insights for companies in selecting the right influencers.
