Abstract

Good teacher performance is needed in managing learning so that learning objectives can be achieved perfectly. The aim of the research is to analyze the influence of academic supervision, teacher discipline and work culture on teacher performance. This type of research is correlational. The research sample consisted of 189 teachers. Data was collected using questionnaire techniques. Based on the research results, it is known that: 1) the correlation between supervision and teacher performance is 0.993. The effect of supervision on teacher performance is 98.6%, 2) the correlation between discipline and teacher performance is 0.893. The influence of discipline on teacher performance is 79.8%, 3) the correlation between work culture and teacher performance is 0.910. The influence of work culture on teacher performance is 82.9%, 4) the correlation between academic supervision, teacher discipline and work culture and teacher performance is 0.994. The influence of academic supervision, teacher discipline and work culture on teacher performance is 98.9%. Thus, the conclusion of this research is that academic supervision, teacher discipline and work culture on teacher performance is 0.994 or 98.9%.

Abstract

Learning style is a way of learning from how students absorb, and then organize and process the information obtained from the learning process. There are three types of learning styles that will be discussed in this study, namely visual (tend to learn through what they see), auditory (learn through what they hear) and kinesthetic (learn through movement and touch). The purpose of this study was to determine the learning styles of students when learning Civics. The research method is qualitative research. Data collection techniques through interviews, observation and documentation. Data validity was carried out through technique and source triangulation. The data analysis technique used consists of data acquisition, data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The results showed that the learning styles of SD Supriyadi Semarang class students in mathematics learning, which showed visual characteristics had visual characteristics, namely students could understand problems by reading, which they themselves could not. The auditory learning style means that students understand better when the teacher reads the questions, knows how to convey information obtained from their work orally. A learning style with kinesthetic characteristics, namely students prefer to solve problems in groups, cannot concentrate on solving problems if they have to sit still for a long time. The results showed that the learning style of the 3rd grade students at SD Supriyadi Semarang was a learning style. visual, auditory, kinesthetic and the most dominant learning style is the visual learning style.

Abstract

Sudah menjadi tugas guru sebagai pengelola pembelajaran adalah menciptakan situasi dan kondisi yang memungkinkan siswa belajar secara berdaya guna dan berhasil guna. Suatu upaya agar tercipta kondisi yang kondusif sehingga siswa dapat belajar secara optimal, yaitu dengan melaksanakan pembelajaran yang menggunakan pendekatan yang dapat membuat siswa belajar secara mudah dan dengan perasaan senang. Salah satu prinsip yang dikembangkan dalam KTSP adalah berpusat pada potensi, perkembangan, kebutuhan, dan kepentingan peserta didik dan lingkungannya. Apa artinya? Artinya KTSP dikembangkan berdasarkan prinsip bahwa peserta didik memiliki posisi sentral untuk mengembangkan kompetensinya. Peserta didik memiliki posisi sentral mempunyai makna bahwa kegiatan pembelajaran berpusat pada peserta didik. Pendekatan pembelajaran matematika di sekolah yang diduga akan sejalan dengan harapan dari kurikulum dan dapat meningkatkan berpikir kritis siswa adalah pendekatan kontekstual. Dalam pembelajaran yang menggunakan pendekatan kontekstual materi disajikan melalui konteks yang bervariasi dan berhubungan dengan kehidupan siswa baik di rumah, di sekolah maupun di masyarakat secara luas, dan pengetahuan didapat oleh siswa secara konstruktivis.

Abstract

Latar belakang yang mendorong penelitian ini adalah rendahnya pemahaman konsep Matematika pada materi Operasi Hitung Bilangan Pecahan kelas V dan belum tersedia media pembelajaran yang tepat untuk mendukung pembelajaran di kelas. Tujuan yang hendak dicapai dalam penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui ketersediaan media di sekolah, mengembangkan media pembelajaran, dan menguji keefektifan dari media yang telah dikembangkan. Jenis peneitian ini adalah Penelitian dan Pengembangan atau Research and Development (RD) dengan desain pretes-pascates satu kelompok ( one group pretest-postest design ). Sampel yang digunakan adalah 17 siswa dari kelas V tahun ajaran 2022/2023. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa media Monopoli Matematika berbasis Student Teams Divisi Prestasi mendapatkan proporsi kevalidan materi sebesar 88,6% dan media sebesar 89,3%. Sedangkan hasil yang diperoleh dari uji coba terbatas memperoleh nilai sebesar 87,3% untuk penilaian media dan nilai sebesar 93,3% untuk penilaian materi. Pada tahap uji keefektifan media terdapat peningkatan terhadap kemampuan pemahaman konsep Operasi Hitung Bilangan Pecahan yang memperoleh skor n-gain sebesar 0,8 dengan kriteria tinggi dan persen n-gain sebesar 78,4% dengan kategori efektif. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, dapat diartikan bahwa Media Monopoli Matematika berbasis Student Teams Achievement Divisionsefektif digunakan dalam pembelajaran untuk meningkatkan pemahaman konsep Operasi Hitung Bilangan Pecahan kelas V semester 2 sekolah dasar.

Abstract

The lack of student interest in reading can lead to a decline in insight and knowledge. The implementation of the School Literacy Movement (GLS) at SDN Karangrejo 02 aims to increase students' interest in reading. This study used a qualitative approach using descriptive methods. The study population included all grade V students of SDN Karangrejo 02 for the 2023/2024 school year. The research sample involved grade V students, grade V homeroom teachers, and the principal of SDN Karangrejo 02 who were interviewed. Data collection techniques in this study were observation, interview, questionnaire, and documentation. From the results of the analysis in the application of reading literacy culture and interviews in this study, it shows that the School Literacy Movement (GLS) at school is very effective in improving students' reading skills.

Abstract

Findings related to the low storytelling ability of young children and the need for learning media that can support storytelling learning are the background for this research. The aim of the research was to analyze the need, practicality and effectiveness of PBL-based Big Book media in improving the storytelling skills of young children. This research methodology is research and development (R&D). The sampling technique used in this research was total sampling. The research instruments were observation sheets and questionnaires. Data analysis uses descriptive analysis and t test. The research results show that PBL-based Big Book media meets the elements of validity, practicality and effectiveness and can be used in learning. The validation results of the two experts stated that PBL-based Big Book media was very feasible, where the material score was 84.6% and the media score was 88.0%. The media effectiveness test showed that the ability to tell stories in the experimental class (86%) was higher than the control class (68%). The difference test found that the mean storytelling ability of the experimental class was significantly different from the control class (p=0.000). Thus, it is concluded that PBL-based Big Book media is quite effective in improving storytelling abilities in young children.

Abstract

This development research aims to determine the validity and reliability of the critical thinking instrument for fifth grade elementary school students on the use of traditional game-based SIGUPIS media (Elementary Social Learning Song Creation). The assessment instrument developed was in the form of a questionnaire. The research subjects consisted of 3 validators and 20 fifth grade elementary school students. Data collection was carried out using a questionnaire or questionnaire technique. The data collected is in the form of data on the validity and reliability of critical thinking instruments. Data on the development of critical thinking instruments obtained through the validity test were analyzed with Aiken's v, while the data from the reliability test were analyzed with Kappa Statistics using SPSS version 16. The results showed that the validity test by the validator obtained the results of the ten statements used belonging to the high category so that the instrument is suitable for use. The reliability test shows that the alpha value is 0.967 so that the reliability of the instrument is included in the very high category. Based on the results of this study, the questionnaire instrument to find out the critical thinking of fifth grade elementary school students in utilizing SIGUPIS media based on traditional games is feasible to use.

Abstract

Teachers are required to be able to apply creative and innovative learning methods by utilizing media so that they can help develop students' language skills and storytelling skills. This study aims to determine the effect, learning completeness, and average difference of the symbolic modeling method assisted by professional wayang cartoon media on language skills and storytelling skills. The methods used include observation, interviews, and documentation. The results showed that the symbolic modeling method assisted by professional wayang cartoon media had an effect on language skills and storytelling skills, in terms of the multivariate test table and the table test of between subject effects on the manova test with each Sig. 0.000 0.05. The learning completeness test obtained a sig value. 0.002 on language skills and Sig. 0.032 on storytelling skills, because the value of Sig. 0.05, it was concluded that the percentage of students who got posttest scores ≥ 75 was more than 75%. The average difference test obtained sig. 0.039 on language skills and sig. 0.001 on storytelling skills, because the value of Sig. 0.05 concluded that there is a difference in the mean of the two groups. The average N-Gain Score test is 0.71 for language skills, which is included in the high category, which means that interpretation is quite effective, and 0.67 for storytelling skills included in the moderate category, the interpretation is quite effective.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the differences in science learning outcomes between students who received the guided inquiry learning model assisted by video animation and students who received the guided inquiry learning model on the concept of heat transfer. The type of research used is a quasi-experimental with Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The population of this study are all fifth grade elementary school students in Gugus Pangeran Diponegoro, Warungasem District, for the 2022/2023 academic year. The class that became the research sample was class V at SDN Sawahjoho 01 and SDN Pesaren 01. Data were collected by observation and test techniques and then tested using the Independent Sample T-Test assisted by the SPSS program with a significance level of 0.05 or 5%. The results showed that in the aspect of scientific attitude, the significance value of the t-test was 0.04 0.05 while in the knowledge aspect the significance value of the t-test was 0.005 0.05 and in the process skills aspect, the significance value of the t-test was 0.012 0.05. This means that there are significant differences in science learning outcomes in terms of scientific attitudes, knowledge, and processing skills between students who receive the guided inquiry learning model assisted by animated videos and students who receive the guided inquiry learning model. It can be concluded that the guided inquiry learning model assisted by video animation is effective for science learning outcomes.

Abstract

Early childhood education at the age of 0-6 years is known as the Golden Age period. This period that only lasts once in each individual's lifetime can have an influence on the next stage of growth and development. So it is necessary to provide appropriate stimulation, one of which is to stimulate social emotional development. Social emotional development can be improved by playing traditional congklak games. In this study, it aims to provide an overview of traditional games in early childhood and determine the increase in social emotional development in early childhood through playing traditional congklak games and knowing the factors that influence early childhood social-emotional development when doing traditional congklak games. The method in this study is included in the type of field research (field research) and in terms of the type of data collected is included in qualitative approach research. The study was conducted in a natural setting in group B of TK Al-Ikhlas 01 Sambong Batang. Data mining is carried out using three main methods, namely in-depth observation, , interviews and documentation. Early childhood social emotional development in group B of TK Al Ikhlas 01 Sambong Batang before going through the traditional game of congklak there were 7 children who were not yet developed (BB), 15 children began to develop (MB), 3 children developed as expected (BSH). However, after going through the traditional game of congklak began to be seen and improved, there were 6 children starting to develop (MB), there were 14 children developing as expected and 5 children developing very well (BSB). The effectiveness of learning using traditional congklak games in early childhood social-emotional development in group B of TK Al Ikhlas 01 Sambong Batang is very effective to use. When playing congklak, students hone patience, train confidence in making decisions, be responsible in carrying out tasks, train children to be more independent and not dependent on others and train self-management behavior in children. Factors that influence the social emotional development of early childhood in traditional congklak games are general factors that are divided into maturity factors which are classified as heredity factors and learning environment.
