Abstract

Quiet quitting presents a growing challenge in the healthcare sector, adversely affecting both employee performance and overall organizational outcomes. From an Islamic perspective, quiet quitting can be understood as a manifestation of the erosion of niyyah (intentionality) and ikhlāṣ (sincerity) in one’s professional duties. This study examined the influence of toxic leadership on quiet quitting among muslim healthcare professionals, with a particular focus on the mediating role of monetary incentives. Data were collected from 104 full-time muslim staff members employed in hospitals and healthcare training institutions in Palembang City through a targeted online survey. The analysis was conducted using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The results indicated that toxic leadership has a significant negative effect on perceptions of monetary rewards (β = -0.316) and a positive effect on quiet quitting behavior (β = 0.292). Moreover, monetary rewards showed a strong relationship with quiet quitting outcomes (β = 0.669). The indirect effect of toxic leadership on quiet quitting through monetary rewards (β = -0.212) suggested that toxic leadership diminishes the motivational value of compensation, thereby increasing disengagement. Collectively, toxic leadership and monetary rewards explained 41% of the variance in quiet quitting. These findings highlighted the need for healthcare organizations to implement leadership development programs and establish transparent, fair reward systems. Integrating ethical principles particularly those rooted in Islamic values of justice (ʿadl), trust (amānah), and sincerity (ikhlāṣ) can help address leadership deficiencies and foster a workplace environment that promotes commitment, cooperation, and excellence.

Abstract

Ideally, Islamic Religious Education (IRE) should develop students’ analytical thinking skills at the C4 cognitive level. However, the learning process at SMA Negeri 1 Abung Semuli is still dominated by monotonous lecturing, resulting in low student engagement, difficulty in analyzing religious concepts, and an inability to relate the material to real-life contexts. This situation leads to low learning outcomes, particularly on tasks that require analytical skills. Based on these issues, this study aims to examine the effectiveness of the Make-a-Match type of Cooperative Learning in improving PAI learning outcomes, specifically in the C4 cognitive domain. The study employed a quantitative approach with involving two Grade X classes: an experimental class that received the Make-a-Match treatment and a control class that was taught using conventional methods. The learning outcome test instrument consisted of 15 questions that were validated and tested for reliability, and subsequently used in both pre-tests and post-tests. Data were analyzed using normality and homogeneity tests, Mann–Whitney, and independent t-tests according to the data distribution characteristics. The results indicated a significant difference between the experimental and control classes. The Mann–Whitney test yielded a significance value of 0.012, while the independent t-test yielded 0.013 (< 0.05), indicating that the Make-a-Match model has a positive effect on improving students’ learning outcomes. The card-matching activities encouraged students to analyze, compare concepts, and identify material relationships more critically, thereby enhancing C4-level abilities. In conclusion, the Make-a-Match type of Cooperative Learning is effective in improving PAI learning outcomes, particularly students’ analytical skills. This model is recommended as an innovative and interactive instructional strategy to enhance the quality of PAI learning in senior high schools

Abstract

This study explores the analytical thinking skills of prospective Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MI) teacher students in understanding seasonal changes in Lampung through the ethnoscience-based RADEC learning model integrated with the local Ngumbai Sabah tradition. The aim is to bridge scientific concepts with local wisdom through both verbal and visual representations.The research employed a quantitative experimental design with a One-Pretest–Posttest design. The sample consisted of PGMI students from Class H, and the instrument was an open-ended essay test assessing students’ abilities to differentiate, organize, connect concepts, and present them visually. Data were analyzed descriptively and inferentially, including a paired-sample t-test to evaluate the effectiveness of RADEC.Results show that the ethnoscience-based RADEC model effectively improves students’ ability to differentiate and organize concepts. However, their ability to connect concepts comprehensively remains limited, especially in visual representations. The main hindering factors are misconceptions regarding basic science concepts, particularly seasonal change phenomena, and difficulties in representing the relationships between scientific concepts and Lampung’s local wisdom. Most visual outputs remain descriptive and fragmented, highlighting the need to strengthen higher-order analytical thinking skills and visual literacy.

Abstract

Kemampuan membaca Al-Qur’an dengan baik dan benar menggunakan kaidah tajwid adalah sebuah kemampuan fundamental yang harus dikuasai oleh siswa dalam pendidikan Islam. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengkaji pengaruh penerapan metode Tahsinul Qiro’ah terhadap kemampuan membaca Al-Qur'an di kalangan siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Palas. Penelitian ini menerapkan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain tindakan kelas yang dilaksanakan dalam tiga tahap. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII dari SMP Negeri 1 Palas, yang dipilih menggunakan metode purposive sampling. Data dikumpulkan melalui tes lisan membaca Al-Qur'an, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Alat yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah rubrik penilaian membaca Al-Qur'an, yang mencakup elemen makhraj, tajwid, kelancaran, tartil, dan kepercayaan diri. Sementara itu, teknik analisis data adalah hasil rata-rata skor dan analisis persentase penyelesaian pembelajaran, yang dilakukan pada setiap siklus. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan metode Tahsinul Qiro’ah memiliki pengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap peningkatan kemampuan membaca Al-Qur'an siswa, yang ditunjukkan oleh rata-rata skor dan persentase penyelesaian pembelajaran dari siklus I hingga siklus III. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan metode Tahsinul Qiro’ah memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap kemampuan membaca Al-Qur’an peserta didik.

Abstract

The Class I Correctional Facility of Bandar Lampung faces serious challenges in maintaining security and order due to overcrowding conditions and the limited number of correctional officers. These circumstances have the potential to trigger security and order disturbances if not anticipated through systematic preventive measures. Law Number 22 of 2022 on Corrections, particularly Article 81, emphasizes early detection as a strategic instrument in preventing security and order disturbances within correctional institutions. This study aims to examine the implementation of early detection of security and order disturbances at the Class I Correctional Facility of Bandar Lampung based on the provisions of Article 81 of Law Number 22 of 2022 on Corrections. In addition, this research analyzes the factors influencing the effectiveness of early detection in correctional practice. The research employs an empirical juridical method with a qualitative approach. Data were collected through a literature review of relevant laws and regulations as well as legal literature, and through interviews with correctional officials and officers directly involved in security management and inmate development. The collected data were analyzed using descriptive qualitative analysis to assess the consistency between normative legal provisions and their implementation in practice. The findings indicate that the implementation of early detection of security and order disturbances at the Class I Correctional Facility of Bandar Lampung has generally been conducted in accordance with the normative framework of Law Number 22 of 2022. This is reflected in practices such as monitoring inmate behavior, supervising residential block environments, and strengthening coordination among correctional officers. However, the effectiveness of its implementation remains suboptimal due to limitations in human resources, overcrowding conditions, and inadequate supporting facilities and infrastructure. This study concludes that early detection is a strategic instrument in maintaining security and order within correctional institutions. Therefore, strengthening human resources, improving facilities and infrastructure, and optimizing supervision systems are necessary to ensure that early detection can be implemented more effectively and sustainably.

Abstract

This study examines the basis for judges' considerations in issuing decisions on cases of violence or threats of violence that force minors to engage in sexual intercourse, with a focus on Decision Number 433/Pid.Sus/2022/Pn. Kot. The background of this study was driven by the rise in cases of sexual violence against children which often place children in vulnerable positions due to unequal power relations and dependence on adults. The case raised in this study highlights how psychological coercion is used by perpetrators to control underage victims. The problems in this study are: the factors causing perpetrators to commit crimes of violence or threats of violence that force underage victims to engage in sexual intercourse with them or with others based on the study of decision number 433/Pid.Sus/2022/PN. Kot. and the basis for judges' considerations in issuing decision number 433/Pid.Sus/2022/PN. Kot. The research method uses a normative juridical and empirical juridical approach. The normative legal approach is pursued through a literature review, examining relevant laws, doctrines, and legal literature. Meanwhile, the empirical approach involves interviews with parties involved or directly familiar with the case to obtain a factual picture of the application of the law in the field. The results of the study indicate that the causal factors of this crime originate from internal aspects in the form of deviant sexual desires from the perpetrator, as well as external aspects including the influence of the social environment, weak moral control, and the negative impact of technological developments. Regarding the judge's considerations, it was found that the decision was taken based on two main bases. Juridically, the judge assessed the fulfillment of the criminal elements in Article 81 paragraph (1) of the Child Protection Law by emphasizing the existence of psychological violence and pressure that made the victim helpless. Non-juridically, the judge considered the deep trauma experienced by the victim as well as the existence of peace efforts and compensation from the defendant's family as mitigating factors in imposing sanctions. The recommendation from this study is that the government and society should continue to focus on strengthening sexual education in schools, increasing the role of families and communities in building awareness of ethics and the impact of sexual violence, and disseminating correct information to the public.

Abstract

Pencurian harta benda adalah kejahatan yang termuat dalam Pasal 372 hingga 377 Buku 2 KUHP. Salah satunya ialah Penggelapan dalam jabatan yang merupakan bentuk khusus dari penggelapan yang dilakukan oleh seseorang yang menerima atau menguasai barang karena pekerjaannya, jabatannya, atau tugas yang dipercayakan kepadanya. Dalam situasi ini, pelaku bukan hanya diberi barang secara sah, tetapi juga memiliki tanggung jawab khusus untuk menjaga, mengelola, atau menggunakan barang tersebut sesuai dengan tugas yang telah diberikan. Adapun permasalahan dalam penelitian ini merupakan Pertimbangan Hakim Dalam Menjatuhkan Putusan Terhadap Pelaku Tindak Pidana Penggelapan Berdasarkan Putusan Nomor 851/Pid.B/2025/PN.Tjk terhadap Terdakwa Hasan Basri bin Mat Liyas. Metode penelitian yang digunakan ialah pendekatan yuridis normatif serta empiris. Penggelapan dalam jabatan sebagaimana diatur pada Pasal 374 KUHP, merupakan kejahatan penggelapan dengan pemberatan. Maksudnya adalah bahwa telah terpenuhinya unsur-unsur penggelapan dalam pokoknya, ditambah lagi dengan unsur yang memberatkan terhadap Terdakwa, yaitu hubungan kerja atau jabatan.

Abstract

Pengemis adalah orang dengan suatu keadaan yang tidak sesuai dengan norma dan aturan masyarakat setempat, dimana mereka tidak memiliki tempat tinggal, tidak memiliki pekerjaan dan mereka hidup dari belas kasihan orang lain.Adapun yang menjadi permasalahan dalam penelitian ini adalah Bagaimana Faktor penyebab maraknya seseorang menjadi Pelaku Pengemis Di Jalan Umum dan Pertimbangan Hakim Dalam Menjatuhkan Sanksi Pidana Terhadap Pelaku Pengemis Di Jalan Umum, Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian skripsi ini ialah Pedekatan yuridis normatif dan pendekatan empiris. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang didapat bahwa, Faktor Penyebab Maraknya Seseorang Menjadi Pelaku Pengemis Di Jalan Umum Berdasarkan di dasarkan pada 2 (dua) faktor pendorong yakni faktor internal dan eksteral, adapun Faktor internal meliputi: Faktor usia, Tingkat pendidikan dan kurangnya keterampilan, Kebebasan dan Kesenangan Hidup Sedangkan Faktor eksternal yang meliputi: Kemiskinan Faktor Ekonomi, Faktor sosial budaya, sedangkan Pertimbangan Hakim Dalam Menjatuhkan Sanksi Pidana Terhadap Pelaku Pengemis Di Jalan Umum telah sesuai dengan kentetuan Pasal 59 huruf a Perda Kota Bandar Lampung Nomor 01 Tahun 2018 tentang Ketentraman Masyarakat dan ketertiban Umum, serta Penulis bependapat bahwa Putusan yang diberikan Majelis Hakim telah memberikan suatu keadilan yang mana tidak mengedepankan saksi pidana sebagai hukumun namun menepatkan saksi pidana untuk mendidik dan membina Terdakwa agar dikemudian hari tidak lagi melakukan perbuatan pidana, adapun saran Untuk Kepolisian untuk memperkuat kerja sama dengan Satpol PP dan Dinas Sosial dalam melakukan operasi penertiban yang bersifat humanis dan Dan Untuk Hakim disarankan tidak hanya terpaku pada sanksi pidana kurungan atau denda yang bersifat retributif (pembalasan).

Abstract

This study aims to examine biology as a medium for Islamic values education through an interdisciplinary pedagogical approach in madrasah learning contexts. Employing a qualitative case study design, the research was conducted in a Madrasah Aliyah involving biology teachers, Islamic Education teachers, and eleventh-grade students. Data were collected through classroom observations, semi-structured interviews, and document analysis, and were analyzed using the Miles and Huberman interactive model. The findings reveal that the integration of Islamic values in biology learning remains partial and largely incidental, often limited to moral reinforcement rather than systematic instructional design. However, when biological concepts such as ecosystem balance and biotechnology are connected with Islamic principles like mizan, amanah, and khalifah fil ardh, students demonstrate increased ecological awareness and ethical reflection. The study highlights the importance of reconstructing biology instruction through an interdisciplinary framework that integrates cognitive, affective, and ethical dimensions. Such an approach contributes to meaningful learning by linking scientific knowledge with spiritual and moral values, thereby supporting holistic Islamic education.

Abstract

This study aims to determine Generation Z perceptions of digital communication in the modern era, particularly among students at the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) at Pramita Indonesia University. This study employed a qualitative approach, employing observation, interviews with four informants, and literature review. The results indicate that WhatsApp and platforms like Zoom and Discord are the primary choices for academic activities, while social media platforms like Instagram and TikTok are used more for non-academic interactions. While digital communication offers convenience and efficiency, it also faces challenges such as internet instability and the spread of misinformation and misunderstandings. These findings are expected to provide important insights for developing more effective digital communication strategies in both academic and social contexts, as well as provide further insight into the impact of communication technology on young people's behavior in various areas of their lives. These findings form the basis for this research. Furthermore, the study could be expanded to include respondents from diverse backgrounds and geographic locations for more representative and comprehensive results.
