Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui serangkaian prosesi ritual dari prosesi awal, prosesi inti, sampai prosesi akhir ritual tradisi Nyengkelan Tanah pada Etnis Dayak Kantuk di Desa Teluk Sindur Kecamatan Bika, Kabupaten Kapuas Hulu. Ritual tradisi Nyengkelan Tanah merupakan sebuah ritual yang dilaksakan satu tahun sekali, tradisi ini merupakan suatu bentuk kewajiban yang dilakukan oleh masyarakat setempat. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini merupakan pendekatan penelitian kualitatif deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisi data yang digunakan yaitu reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Sedangkan analisis dalam penelitian menggunakan empat orang informan yaitu satu informan kunci dan tiga lainnya informan pendukung. Dalam hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa dalam proses awal ritual meliputi ngumai petara (pemanggilan leluhur). Prosesi inti meliputi nyengkelan tanah (memberkati tanah). Prosesi akhir meliputi ngantung kelingkang; pengambilan tanah; dan makan Bersama. Selain itu, dalam ritual tradisi ini mempunyai nilai dan makna yang di dalamnya terdapat pesan-pesan simbolik yang dapat menjadi sarana di dalam sebuah pendidkan sosial dan moral bagi masyarakat.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of the Team Games Tournament (TGT) learning model combined with the Quizizz application for Grade X D students in the Sociology subject at SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Pontianak. The research employed a qualitative approach with a descriptive design. Data were collected through observations, interviews, and evaluation tests to obtain a comprehensive overview of the learning process and outcomes. The results indicate that the application of the TGT model supported by Quizizz increased students"™ active participation, strengthened cooperation and communication among group members, and enhanced students"™ understanding of Sociology material. The use of Quizizz as an evaluation tool also provided immediate feedback, facilitated students"™ retention of concepts, and motivated healthy competition within groups. Furthermore, students"™ learning outcomes showed significant improvement after the implementation of this learning model. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that the TGT learning model supported by Quizizz is effective in improving students"™ motivation, engagement, and academic achievement in Sociology. This study recommends applying this learning model to other subjects at SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Pontianak to enhance the overall quality of learning

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the use of gamified learning through Genially in sociology instruction for eleventh-grade students at SMAIT AL MUMTAZ Pontianak. The research focuses on the planning process, implementation, and learning effectiveness for students using gamified learning via Genially in sociology classes. This study employs a qualitative research method. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, involving the sociology teacher and four eleventh-grade students as research subjects. The findings indicate that the use of gamified learning through Genially was systematically planned, taking into account the readiness of both teachers and students. The implementation of gamification via Genially was able to transform passive lessons into active ones, thereby creating a communicative learning process and generating positive responses from students. The use of gamified learning through Genially in sociology instruction also proved to be an effective method for increasing student engagement and motivation. In conclusion, the use of gamified learning through Genially by the sociology teacher in the eleventh grade at SMAIT AL MUMTAZ Pontianak not only made learning more active and enjoyable but also served as an effective approach to fostering responsive and communicative learning among students during sociology lessons.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the implementation of the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model using Flipbook media in Sociology learning. The use of technology is intended to improve the quality of education. Based on preliminary observations, Sociology teachers still tend to be less effective in carrying out the learning process; as a result, students are also less active during Sociology lessons and many of them do not comply with the instructions given by the teacher. Teachers need to innovate by applying more creative and engaging learning methods. One learning model that can encourage students to be more active and think critically in the learning process is the Problem-Based Learning model. At SMA Negeri 3 Simpang Hilir, the use of media in the learning process is still lacking due to limited understanding of emerging technologies. One of the media previously used is Flipbook. The research method employed is qualitative with a descriptive approach. The implementation of Sociology learning using the Problem-Based Learning model with Flipbook media was carried out in two sessions. The results of the study show that teachers assessed students in three domains: the knowledge domain, in which students were evaluated based on group and individual assignments reflecting their knowledge and daily life experiences; the attitude domain, in which students were assessed on their responsibility (such as attending classes), spiritual and social attitudes; and the skills domain, in which students were assessed on their collaboration, inclusion of facts, examples, and theories, as well as politeness and creativity.

Abstract

The character trait of responsibility has been taught to students in class X7 at SMA Negeri 1 Sungai Ambawang, Kubu Raya Regency, but in its application in the classroom, the attitude of responsibility among class X7 students has not yet been optimally formed. Considering that in the learning process, teachers do not only have the role of teaching knowledge, but teachers have various roles in the learning process. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the role of teachers as instructors, educators, and motivators in instilling a sense of responsibility in students in the 10th grade sociology class at SMA Negeri 1 Sungai Ambawang in Kubu Raya Regency. This research was conducted at SMA Negeri 1 Sungai Ambawang, Kubu Raya Regency. The objects in this study were Sociology teachers and Grade X7 students, with a total of 36 students. The results of the study indicate that the role of teachers as educators in instilling a sense of responsibility in students is to assign group tasks, set deadlines for completing the tasks, and create a classroom atmosphere that supports the development of responsibility in students in completing their tasks. The role of teachers as educators in instilling responsibility is to assist students while they are working on assignments and provide guidance to students in completing their assignments. The role of teachers as motivators in instilling responsibility is to encourage students to take responsibility for their assignments and build their self-confidence.The abstract contains a brief description of the research problem and objectives, the methods used, the urgency of the research, teaching, learning or management of the educational unit and the presentation of the research results. The abstract should reflect the content of the article. The abstract must be written in a paragraph of a maximum of 300 words. Keywords should be included to describe the problem area, and the terms underlying the conduct of the research. Keywords can be single words or combinations of words (phrases). The number of keywords is usually between 3 - 5 words. Keywords are needed for computerization. Searching for research titles and abstracts is easy with these keywords.

Abstract

Pemerintah mencanangkan budaya literasi sebagai salah satu pilihan untuk meningkatkan taraf pendidikan yang berkelanjutan; Dalam perkembangannya budaya literasi masih sangat minim bahkan memprihatinkan, banyaknya open literacy yang masih dominan merupakan bukti masih rendahnya literasi di Indonesia pada umumnya, termasuk untuk anak-anak. Anak-anak pemulung yang ternyata masih membutuhkan perhatian khusus, Relawan Aku Belajar merupakan salah satu lembaga swadaya masyarakat yang didirikan oleh para pemuda yang tergerak untuk melakukan kegiatan kepedulian sosial khususnya di bidang pendidikan; Dalam penelitian ini akan diuraikan proses pelaksanaan kegiatan pembelajaran berbasis budaya literasi. Anak-anak pemulung di sekitar TPA di Desa Batulayang menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif, deskripsi yang mendalam melalui observasi dan wawancara. Hasil yang diperoleh dalam penelitian ini adalah penerapan budaya literasi terbagi menjadi tiga bagian utama, yaitu proses pembelajaran budaya literasi pembukaan, proses kegiatan inti, dan proses penutupan kegiatan penerapan budaya literasi pada anak pemulung yang membiasakan diri membaca dan menulis melalui kontribusi Relawan Aku Belajar.Kata kunci: Anak Pemulung, Budaya Literasi, Relawan Aku Belajar

Abstract

The lack of interpersonal skills among teachers remains a barrier to encouraging students to achieve optimal academic achievement. Although these skills are considered important in 21st century learning, their implementation in the field has not shown adequate results. This study aims to analyze the level of teachers' interpersonal skills and evaluate their relationship with student academic achievement. This study used a quantitative approach with a survey design. The subjects were 557 high school students randomly selected as a sample. The data collection technique used a questionnaire developed based on indicators of leadership, teacher attention, understanding, distrust, dissatisfaction, warnings, and assertiveness, with a Likert scale of 1 to 5 as the measurement instrument. Data were analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics with the help of SPSS software version 29.0. The study results indicate a significant relationship between teacher interpersonal skills and student academic achievement, influencing students' mastery of basic skills. The conclusion of this study confirms that improving teacher interpersonal skills contributes positively to student learning experiences and achievements. These findings indicate the importance of integrating interpersonal skills training into teacher professional development to improve learning effectiveness and the quality of educational outcomes.

Abstract

Permasalahan yang paling utama bagi guru-guru adalah berada di zona nyaman dan sulit untuk mengembangkan diri, karena sudah sibuk dengan kegiatan mengajar serta membuat perangkat pembelajaran, oleh sebab itu dengan adanya pelatihan penulisan artikel ilmiah dan dipublikasikan pada jurnal ilmiah agardapat mengembangkan diri tidak hanya pada proses pengajaran saja, tetapi dapat menulis dan dipublikasi pada jurnal nasional, proses kegiatannya meliputi penyampaian materi, praktek pembuatan artikel, dan praktek mengupload hasil artikel ke jurnal, adapun hasil yang didapat bahwa para peserta sudah sebagianbesar paham dengan tahapan untuk mengupload hasil artikel ilmiah dan pelaksanaannya berjalan dengan lancar serta tidak ada kendala yang berarti.

Abstract

The tradition of riding ayun in ethnic Malays in West Kalimantan is one form of cultural preservation that has undergone a significant transformation in the face of the modern era. This study aims to describe changes in the meaning, implementation, and interpretation of the swing riding tradition in the context of the modern era. The research method used is a qualitative method with an analytical descriptive study approach. Data was collected through observation and interviews with local communities who still preserve the tradition of riding Ayun. The results showed that the tradition of swinging rose experienced changes in meaning, implementation, and interpretation. The influence of technology and globalization plays an important role in this change. Technology enables the use of social media and event planning apps to make it easier for families planning traditional events to ride the swing. In addition, technology also allows the use of modern equipment in the implementation of traditions, such as the use of audio-visual equipment to display information about the tradition of swinging or documentation of the birth of a baby. On the globalization side, the tradition of swinging can become better known in different parts of the world through social media platforms and websites. This can help in expanding the appreciation of this tradition on a global level. This research suggests that cultural transformation can occur in hereditary traditions such as swing rides. Therefore, cultural preservation needs to be done in the right way so that the tradition remains relevant and can be passed on to the next generation. In addition, the study also shows that technology and globalization can play an important role in cultural preservation. Therefore, there needs to be an effort to leverage technology and global connectivity to promote and preserve local culture.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to investigate the low level of student motivation in the learning process and its potential impact on their future success. The factors that affect the learning process are not limited to the students themselves, but also external factors. The factors that affect the learning process are not limited to the students themselves, but also include external factors. The relationship between these factors is crucial, as an unstable balance between them can hinder the learning process and lead to suboptimal results. The objective of this research is to investigate the impact of school and family environments, as well as the role of teachers, on students' learning motivation. A literature review was conducted to achieve this objective. The results indicate that both the school environment and the role of the teacher have a significant positive influence on students' motivation to learn, which in turn leads to individual success.
