Abstract

Background: The pathogenesis of Henoch-Schonlein Purpura (HSP), a multisystem organ-involved small vessel vasculitis, is unknown. HSP is more common in youngsters than in adults. HSP is associated with a history of malignancies, medications, vaccinations, and upper respiratory tract infections. Painful purpura, arthritis, stomach discomfort, and renal involvement are symptoms that may be seen in HSP patients. Adult patients had a much higher rate of renal involvement than children. Purpose: To report a case of HSP in an adult with gastrointestinal and renal involvement. Case: A 45-year-old man complained of an arm, leg, and waist rash for two weeks before admission to the hospital. He also has stomach pains, nausea, and vomiting to deal with. His symptoms have just appeared now for the first time. During a renal function test, blood urea nitrogen (BUN) and creatine serum levels rose. On a urinalysis, proteinuria and microscopic hematuria were found. Leucocytoclastic vasculitis was discovered during the histopathology investigation. HSP diagnosis was based on the ACR and ICC criteria. The patient was given 3x2 tablets of 0.5 mg dexamethasone, 3x2 tablets of cetirizine, 2x10 mg lisinopril, 2x50 mg ranitidine injection, and 2 grams ceftriaxone. Discussion: The clinical symptoms of HSP are used to make the diagnosis. In the vast majority of instances, the treatment is only supportive therapy. Corticosteroid usually are usually used for HSP with multisystem organ involvement to reduce pain severity and faster resolution of renal manifestation. Conclusion: Follow up on renal function is needed to monitor the worsening of renal disease.

Abstract

Background: Vulvovaginal candidiasis (VVC) is one of the most prevalent genital tract diseases in women. The identification of the isolated Candida species is critical for guiding empirical antifungal therapy. Purpose: To determine the Candida species that cause vulvovaginal candidiasis in pregnancy at the Obstetrics and Gynecology Outpatient Clinic, Dr. Soetomo General Academic Hospital, thus providing scientific and therapeutic benefits. Methods:  Pregnant woman receiving antenatal care (ANC) at Dr. Soetomo General Academic Hospital Obstetric and Gynecology Outpatient Clinic. Subjects were enrolled in a cross-sectional study during 3 months between March and May 2021. Vaginal swab samples were taken from subjects after informed consent. A specific color change in CHROMagar cultures and VITEK 2 compact were used to identify Candida species. Result: During the study period, 15 pregnant patients were diagnosed with VVC. The majority of the women in the study were pregnant women of sexually active age who complained of a whitish body and genital irritation. There were 18 candida isolates from CHROMagar cultures, with C. non albicans (61.1%) predominating over C. albicans (38.3%). With details, non albicans were C. glabrata (54.4%), C. dubliniensis (36.3%), and C. parapsilosis (18.1%). Conclusion: This study revealed a high prevalence of Candida non-albicans species causing VVC. Culture investigation and identification of Candida are critical to avoid diminished susceptibility to antifungal treatments and recurrence.

Abstract

financial distressis a condition where the company's finances are experiencing a loss because it is considered unable to pay its obligations when they are due. The increase in cigarette excise rates will certainly have an impact on the shares of cigarette issuers and result in an increase in the selling price of cigarettes which will allow the company to experience financial distress. Cigarette companies need to analyze the company's financial condition, in which companies can predict opportunities for financial distress. Among them are using bankruptcy prediction models, one of which is zmijewski, altman z-score and ohlson. The aim of the researchers was to determine the prediction of financial distress in cigarette companies listed on the IDX for the 2018-2022 period using the Zmijewski method, altman z-score and Ohlson. This research is a descriptive research,The results show that the Zmijewski method predicts all healthy companies, the Altman Z-Score method for three companies is said to be healthy and the Ohlson method has two companies in good health. Ohlson's method has a high degree of accuracy72% with Typel Elrror 1 at 20% and Typel Elrror II at 8%. So that the Ohlson model is the most appropriate to use in predicting financial distress in cigarette companies listed on the Indonesian Efek Exchange (BEI).

Kata Kunci : Ukuran Perusahaan, Beban Pajak Tangguhan, Leverage, Tindakan Penghindaran Pajak (tax avoidance), Transparansi  ABSTRACT This study aims to determine the effect of firm size, deferred tax burden and leverage on tax avoidance with transparency as a moderating variable in manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange as proxied by the cash effective tax rate. With a population covering all food and beverage companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during the observation period, 2018-2021. From all food and beverage companies listed on the IDX, we selected 15 companies using purposive sampling technique. To determine the effect of independent variables on variables, all secondary data was used according to the indicators used and multiple linear regression analysis was performed. The results of this study indicate that firm size, deferred tax expense has no effect on tax avoidance measures (CETR) based on the t-test significance value of 0.185, 0.473, or greater than 0.05. Thus, it is hypothesized that firm size, deferred tax expense has no effect on tax avoidance. Leverage has a negativeand significanteffect on tax avoidance measures, firm size*transparency and deferred expense*transparency do not moderate the relationship to tax avoidance actions based on the t-test significance valuesof 0.180 and 0.431. Meanwhile, leverage*transparency strengthens tax avoidance measures based on the t-test significance value of 0.025 or less than 0.05. Keywords: Firm Size, Deferred Tax Expense, Leverage, Tax Avoidance, Transparency
